Description

International Day of Yoga with Small World Yoga is Nashville's largest community yoga event, a donation-based yoga festival held each June in Nashville, Tennessee. It is open to all levels and welcomes families, bringing hundreds of yogis together outdoors in honor of International Day of Yoga.

Small World Yoga, a Nashville studio with a network of more than 100 teachers, hosts the gathering as part of its mission to make yoga accessible to everyone.

What to Expect

The centerpiece is an all-levels outdoor flow, practiced alongside hundreds of other people. Around it, the day carries live music, local vendors, and family-friendly activities, so it feels as much like a neighborhood celebration as a class. The emphasis is on movement, music, and connection, and on practicing yoga in a shared public space rather than a studio.

Because the event runs on donations, there is no fixed barrier to joining in. That fits the studio's wider purpose: making yoga something anyone in the city can try, whether it is their first class or their thousandth.

About Small World Yoga

Small World Yoga hosts events throughout the year, from city-wide celebrations to small group workshops and private classes led by certified instructors from its teacher network. Past gatherings include an all-day immersion with Baron Baptiste, a benefit concert night with Nashville musicians in East Nashville, and the Music City Yoga Festival, an annual event at Rocketown that showcased various styles of yoga and fitness with food trucks and local vendors. The International Day of Yoga celebration carries that spirit of community gathering into an outdoor setting each summer.

Before You Go

All levels are welcome, and no prior experience is needed. Families are invited, so children and relatives can take part in the day alongside you.
