Daughters of the Earth: Peru Women's Retreat

Daughters of the Earth is a seven-day women's retreat in the Sacred Valley of Peru, held near Pisac in the Cusco region. It is led by Lauren on Earth and Georgia Be, two sisters who bring together ceremony, song, sound healing and time on the land, and it is limited to sixteen women. It suits women who feel a reverence for the original ways of nature, who want rest and a return to themselves beneath the noise, and who are looking for community with other soul-led women in a safe, intentional space.

What to Expect

The week moves from arrival to deepening to release. Day one is a landing: arrival, a community dinner and an opening ceremony. The second day begins with breakfast and a morning practice, followed by a despacho ceremony with elders, centered on reciprocity, gratitude and relationship with Pachamama, the Apus (sacred mountain spirits) and the natural world. That evening there is live medicine music and dance.

On day three the group travels to Kinsa Kocha for a six kilometer hike to three high altitude sacred lakes. Day four is for shedding and rest: a temescal led by elders, a plant bath, a sound bath and time to integrate. Day five is the Huachuma ceremony, a ten to twelve hour day with an ancestral Andean plant medicine, also called San Pedro, within an Andean tradition. Day six is spent on the river with a water blessing, an afternoon in town and an evening medicine music concert with Georgia Be and company. Day seven closes with brunch and goodbyes.

Along the way there are song and cacao circles, a ceremonial sweat lodge with a local medicine family, sound baths and integration circles for processing the ceremonial experiences. The itinerary is tentative.

Lauren may also guide an optional two-day pilgrimage to Machu Picchu after the retreat, about five hours from the retreat center, for a small group of up to five women and based on demand.

About Lauren on Earth

Lauren is a healer, Akashic Records reader, energy architect and sound healer. Her work centers on the shadow, the unconscious and the hidden dimensions of the self and of reality, and on the inner freedom that becomes possible when both light and dark are engaged consciously. She works with beliefs, karmic imprints, emotional wounding and unresolved pain, and offers one-to-one Akashic Records and energetic clearing sessions, mentorship, and courses on moving through the shadow.

About Georgia Be

Georgia is a musician and ceremonialist with a deep connection to the Andes. She studies with different lineages of the Americas and shares Earth-led wisdom and healing medicines. A published music artist, she writes original compositions inspired by nature and her own life path, and she works with women who want to open their voice and step into leadership.

The Setting

The group stays in Pisac, within driving distance of town but immersed in nature. The property has several bungalows, shared spaces, gardens, dining areas and a temescal. Six nights of accommodation are included, with a choice of a solo room or bungalow with a queen bed, or a shared room or bungalow with a twin bed for each guest.

Meals are vegetarian and prepared by a private chef from local ingredients, with breakfast, lunch and dinner on most days except when the group fasts for ceremony. Gluten free and dairy free options are available. Transportation during the retreat is included. Getting to the retreat center from Cusco is up to each guest; it is about an hour by taxi, and a group chat helps women share rides.

Before You Go

No experience with ceremony is needed, only openness and respect for the original ways. The retreat is held in English. Guests should be able to walk for about three hours at a relaxed pace. The altitude takes some adjusting to, so arriving a day early is suggested. Coca leaves and tips for the adjustment are provided on arrival. Airfare and the Machu Picchu extension are not included.
