À propos de cet événement

Description

Child Mind is a six-day healing retreat on Maui for bereaved parents, held in the Kihei and Wailea area of Hawaii. It is led by Nicole, a medium who lives with the loss of her own son, Avery. The week is built around the idea that a parent's relationship with a child does not end at death, and it uses mediumship to explore how that relationship can continue and grow. It is for parents whose loss is recent and for those whose child died many years ago.

What to Expect

The retreat is not a mediumship training course, and it is not presented as a cure for grief. Nicole says plainly that a parent never fully "heals" from losing a child. The aim is to shift awareness from loss toward a living relationship, through teaching, practice and shared time with other parents who understand.

Mediumship is introduced as a practice. You learn about the process, experience it, and receive personal readings from Nicole throughout the week. Depending on the group and your own openness, you may begin to experience your own connection with your child. The themes include:

- learning how Spirit communicates, through feelings, dreams, music, synchronicities, nature and signs
- telling coincidence from meaningful connection
- becoming calmer and more grounded so connection comes more easily
- building a personal practice that suits how you naturally perceive
- considering how your child continues to evolve

Alongside the teaching are sound baths, energy healing sessions, planned excursions and cultural visits around Wailea and Kihei. The program draws on mediumship and on Hawaiian cultural perspectives on ancestry and the afterlife. The group is capped at eleven participants, so there is room for individual attention. Each person receives a printed workbook with an outline of the week and the key teachings, with space for notes and journaling, so nothing has to be memorized.

About Nicole

Nicole created Child Mind from her own experience of losing her son Avery. She is a medium who teaches and gives readings throughout the retreat, offering evidential mediumship and guiding parents toward their own ongoing connection with their child. She speaks from the position of a bereaved parent herself.

The Setting and Schedule

Sessions are based in the Wailea and Kihei area of Maui. The first day is for travel and arrival. The full program starts the following morning, and the retreat ends at midday on the final day. Ground transportation in a large vehicle with Nicole is provided, including to the planned excursions. Early arrival leaves time to rest and meet other participants informally.

Accommodation is offered at three levels, each with a private room arranged through the retreat:

- Child Mind Basic: a private bedroom in a shared condo, which may share a bathroom
- Child Mind Premium: a private bedroom
- Child Mind Luxury: a private suite

A program-only option is also available without accommodation.

Before You Go

No prior experience is needed, and the retreat is taught in English. Included are the guided program and mediumship teaching, personal readings, the printed workbook, ground transportation, planned excursions, sound baths and energy healing sessions. Breakfast supplies are provided at accommodation booked through the retreat.

Flights to Kahului (OGG) are not included. Most meals are your own to arrange, including meals on the arrival day.
