Retraite ayurvédique
Description
The Ayurvedic Massage Rejuvenation Retreat is a weekend ayurveda retreat at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, California, led by Nitya (Hoa Tran). It is for anyone who wants to rest, release the strain of daily life and be looked after by people trained in Ayurveda, the ancient healing science of India. The weekend is offered as an optional add-on to a basic yoga vacation or a personalized self-healing retreat at the ashram.
What to Expect
The ashram is described as an ideal place to relax, rejuvenate and detoxify. Over the weekend you receive guidance and nurturing from specialists trained in Ayurveda through three kinds of offering: body treatments, consultations and daily workshops. The treatments are the heart of the retreat, and the consultations and workshops give you a way to understand what Ayurveda can mean for your own health once you return home.
The retreat runs for a weekend, three days in all. The ashram also notes that programs of this kind can be joined for the weekend only or for whichever days fit your calendar. Because treatments and consultations depend on the specialists' availability, the ashram asks that you call to arrange details.
About Nitya (Hoa Tran)
Nitya (Hoa Tran) leads this retreat and teaches regularly at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm. Alongside this weekend, she co-leads the week-long Ayurveda for a Good Life Retreat with Omkara, which approaches Ayurveda as the science of life, aimed at healthy living and a lasting sense of wellbeing. She also co-leads stress relief and relaxation programs at the ashram, so her teaching draws together Ayurveda, yoga and practical self-care.
The Setting
Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm sits in Grass Valley, California, a yoga community in the Sierra Nevada foothills region. The ashram is a working place of spiritual practice, and its programs sit within a daily life of yoga, meditation and chanting. Meals at the ashram are organic and vegetarian. Guests who want a taste of ashram life can join satsang, which includes silent meditation, chanting and a lecture.
Before You Go
No prior experience with Ayurveda or yoga is required for a weekend of rest and treatment. Because the weekend is an add-on to a basic yoga vacation or a personalized self-healing retreat, it is worth asking the ashram how to combine the two when you call to arrange your stay.
