Retraite ayurvédique
Description
The Ayurvedic Massage Rejuvenation Retreat is a weekend ayurveda retreat at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, California, led by Nitya (Hoa Tran). It is for anyone who wants to rest, release the weight of daily life and be cared for by specialists trained in Ayurveda, the ancient healing science of India. The weekend combines body treatments, consultations and daily workshops in the quiet setting of a working ashram.
What to Expect
The ashram is described as an ideal place to relax, rejuvenate and detoxify, and the weekend is built around that purpose. Over three days you receive guidance and nurturing from practitioners trained in Ayurveda. The offerings fall into three parts:
- Body treatments, the Ayurvedic massage work that gives the retreat its name.
- Consultations, where you can talk through your own needs with a trained specialist.
- Daily workshops, which place the treatments in the wider context of Ayurvedic self-care.
This retreat is an optional add-on to the basic yoga vacation or a personalized self-healing retreat at the ashram. That means the weekend can sit alongside the ashram's daily rhythm of yoga and meditation, and you can fold it into a longer stay if your calendar allows.
About Nitya (Hoa Tran)
Nitya (Hoa Tran) leads the Ayurvedic Massage Rejuvenation Retreat and also teaches other Ayurveda-focused programs at the Yoga Farm, including the Ayurveda for a Good Life Retreat, where she teaches with Omkara. That course presents Ayurveda, the science of life, as a path to healthy living and a sustained sense of wellbeing, and shows how its knowledge, together with yoga, supports goals both material and spiritual. She also co-leads retreats at the ashram on the four paths of yoga and on stress relief and relaxation.
The Setting
The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm sits in Grass Valley, in the Sierra foothills of Northern California. The ashram is a place of retreat in the Sivananda yoga tradition, where visitors can step away from ordinary routines. Its offerings include guided tours, asana and pranayama classes, satsang with silent meditation, chanting and a talk, and organic vegetarian meals. Please contact the ashram directly to ask about the treatments and to arrange your stay.
Before You Go
You can join the retreat for the full weekend, and the ashram notes that its weekend programs can also be joined for the days that fit your schedule. No prior experience with Ayurveda is needed. The program is open to anyone seeking rest, renewal and a first-hand introduction to Ayurvedic care. Because treatments and consultations are arranged with the ashram, it helps to get in touch ahead of time to ask about availability and what to bring.
