À propos de cet événement

Description

The Adventure and Yoga Retreat at Suryalila Retreat Centre in Villamartín, Andalusia, pairs daily yoga with outdoor adventures in the region's Natural Parks. It suits people who want a yoga retreat in Spain with more movement and time outside than a purely restful week offers. Lidiya Petkova leads it.

What to Expect

The retreat is handcrafted around two threads: energising and restorative yoga each day, and outdoor adventures set against the backdrop of Andalusia's Natural Parks. The yoga gives the week its rhythm, with active practice balanced by gentler, restorative sessions, while the adventures take you out of the centre and into the landscape.

The retreat also has a charitable side. Your participation contributes 10% of profits to charitable organisations, something the organisers call Giving Back Together.

About Lidiya Petkova

Lidiya Petkova is the teacher leading this adventure and yoga retreat. She also leads Suryalila's Hiking and Yoga Retreat, which combines inward-guiding yoga practice with hikes, and co-teaches the centre's 50-hour Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Pranayama Training with Vidya Heisel. Her teaching here brings together the physical and the restful sides of practice.

The Setting

Suryalila Retreat Centre is in Villamartín, in the Andalusian region of southern Spain. The centre is known for daily yoga, organic vegetarian meals, holistic treatments and time in nature, and the retreat takes place against the backdrop of Andalusia's Natural Parks.

Before You Go

This is a guided retreat with a set schedule, as opposed to the centre's self-designed "Retreat Yourself" stays, where guests choose their own activities. If you would like the structure of a shared programme, with a teacher, a group and a planned week, this is the format. Suryalila describes its guided retreats as a chance to practise with a community in a peaceful, natural setting.

If you enjoy being outdoors and want yoga to sit alongside real activity rather than replace it, this retreat is built for that balance. Come ready for time on your feet in nature as well as time on the mat.
