Description
The Aloha Festivals Floral Parade marks the culmination of Hawaii's premier cultural celebration, drawing the community through Waikiki in a procession of pageantry and tradition. Elaborately decorated floats adorned with fresh flowers, marching bands, hula companies, and equestrian performers showcasing pāʻū riding move along Kalākaua Avenue, weaving together the artistic and spiritual dimensions of Hawaiian culture. Civic leaders and community members participate in what has become an annual affirmation of the values and customs that define island life. Designated viewing areas at Ala Moana Park, the Prince Waikiki, Royal Hawaiian Center, and Moana Surfrider offer vantage points for narrated commentary on the procession.
