Question 1

What kind of retreat is the 7 Day Energy Clearing Retreat at Mandali?

Accepted Answer

Mandali runs three types of retreat: the Mandali Experience, Mandali Experience Special (seasonal editions with music, movement or elemental workshops), and Themed Retreats led by guest teachers. Its in-house programme is described as a 3-7 day restorative retreat offering connection to self at a flexible pace through movement and meditative practices. The organizer's text doesn't say which category this Energy Clearing week falls under, so check the full retreat page for the programme.

Question 2

Where does the Energy Clearing Retreat take place?

Accepted Answer

It is held at the Mandali Retreat Center in Quarna Sopra, in the VB (Verbano-Cusio-Ossola) province of Italy. Mandali hosts all of its retreat types at this one centre. Travel and transfer details aren't given in the source material, so confirm them with the organizer.

Question 3

Is this a teacher-led themed retreat or part of Mandali's own programme?

Accepted Answer

The source material doesn't name a teacher for this retreat. Mandali's Themed Retreats (for example Path of Love, Non-Duality or Buddhism) are led by expert teachers and go deep into one teaching, while the in-house programme is more open and restorative. Look at the retreat page for any named facilitator before you book.

Question 4

Will the retreat be silent?

Accepted Answer

Mandali does run silent editions, but it labels them clearly in the title, such as the 6 Day Silent Mandali Experience. This retreat's title doesn't include "Silent", so don't assume silence. Ask the organizer if the format matters to you.

Question 5

Who is a 7-day energy clearing week likely to suit, and who might it not suit?

Accepted Answer

It suits people who want an extended, restorative stretch of movement and meditative practice at a flexible pace, rather than a short weekend. If you want a deep academic or doctrinal study of one tradition, a Mandali Themed Retreat with a named teacher is the better fit. If you can only spare a few days, Mandali also offers 3, 4, 5 and 6 day formats.

Question 6

How do I book a place?

Accepted Answer

Each Mandali retreat has a "View Retreat" page on the organizer's site, which is where programme details and booking are handled. Use the booking link on this BrightStar listing or go to that page directly. Prices and inclusions aren't stated in the material available here, so check them there.

Question 7

What other 7-day retreats does Mandali offer if this one doesn't work for me?

Accepted Answer

Mandali's 7 Day filter also lists the 7 Day Path of Love Process, led by Rafia Morgan and Turiya Hanover, and a 7 Day Mandali Experience Special over the New Year period. The Path of Love Process is a themed retreat, while the Special adds a creative layer with music, movement or elements work. Their pages list the current dates.
