Your Body Isn't Broken: Wholeness, Wisdom and Healing

Picture an online group, a few dozen people settling in with notebooks, and a facilitator who opens not with a lecture but with a slow instruction: breathe into the belly, and let the exhale run longer than the inhale. That is how Jamie Wozny's "Sacred Medicine Activation" begins, and it sets the terms for the 27 minutes that follow. The session is a guided container of breathwork, a Reiki-style invocation, intention-setting and a written "snapshot" of where each person stands, all anchored by one central teaching: that the body is not a broken machine waiting to be fixed, but an intelligent, communicating part of a whole life. Wozny presents this as "the medicine of wholeness and wisdom," and she is careful to say it does not replace acute medical care. What it does is ask listeners to stop treating their symptoms as enemies and start treating them as messages.

What does a session like this actually look like?

The first minutes are almost entirely instruction. "Let's just take some deeper breaths. Let's breathe into the belly, stretch and expand, and exhale," Wozny says at the top of the recording, and she keeps returning to the cue: "Exhale slower than the inhale." The repetition is the point. It gives the room a shared rhythm before anyone is asked to think about anything hard.

Then comes the invocation, which is the most theatrical part of the session and the one most worth understanding on its own terms. Wozny calls on "the highest fifthdimensional Reiki frequencies of the universe" to move through the group's container, asks that only "love and light, wisdom and codes and energy" be allowed into the space, and then instructs everyone to "ground into the earth" and call their soul "fully back to our body from all time and space and dimension." She also asks the group to "release that which isn't ours to carry." Whatever you make of the cosmology, the structure is recognizable from many contemplative traditions: a deliberate opening of the room, a grounding in the body, and an explicit letting go before the real work begins. Wozny's own framing is simple. "In this space, we go beyond the known," she says, and the instruction that follows is to let the healing come "quick" and "easy."

Why does the session start with intention, not symptoms?

Before any body work, Wozny asks a question she repeats in several forms: "Why are you here? What do you want? What do you seek?" She insists there is "no right or wrong answer" and "no impressive answer." Some people, she suggests, will arrive with a clear goal. Others will feel only "a little joy in your heart or relief, clarity," or simply "I was weirdly drawn in this direction." Her magic-wand prompt asks for what you desire "beyond what you think is possible," and what you would "release from your life."

The intentions are then spoken aloud in the chat, and Wozny reads them back. She explains the reason plainly: "when we hold them with each other for each other and they're set out loud they're very potent." She calls this "setting new energy into our energetic GPS," so that "life can meet us." The examples she reads range from peace and relief to security in a relationship, healing in the body, feeling more connected to oneself, and "releasing grief and anxiety." Her response to each is the same warm affirmation, and at one point she admits she has been working on releasing grief herself, so she will have "a lot of embodiment to share here."

"Oh, you want peace. Oh, you want relief. Oh, you want security in your relationship. Okay. You want healing in your body."

(Jamie Wozny, in the Medicine Activation session, around 5:45)

How do you take an honest snapshot without spiraling?

The most practical idea in the session is the snapshot. Wozny asks participants to write down, in a few words or sentences, where they are now: "your current symptoms, life challenges, just a few." She frames it as a deliberately neutral document. "There's no judgment here. This is just kind of your own scale." The exercise is designed to be revisited later, so that the distance between where someone started and where they land can be seen rather than guessed.

Her reason is worth quoting in full, because it names a problem many people in healing work will recognize. "It's so easy for us in these journeys to be like nothing's happening. I'm not changing. And then when we see whoa, like look where you were, look where you are. It's everything." She adds that seeing this progress "is everything for the nervous systems." The snapshot is therefore less a diagnostic than a corrective to impatience: a way of making slow change visible to a mind that tends to dismiss it.

She also uses the moment for a bit of levity, noting that she is "a Virgo moon" and asking anyone else with Virgo in their chart to appreciate the exercise. The humor matters. It keeps the room from treating the snapshot as a test.

Why does Wozny say the body isn't broken?

The spine of the talk arrives about thirteen minutes in, when Wozny names what she calls the first medicine: "the medicine of wholeness and wisdom." Her central line is blunt: "Your body is not broken. Your body and your life." She then extends the point beyond physical symptoms. If the reason you came is a relationship, a financial situation, or boredom, she says, "just fill in the blank." Even then, she argues, the body is useful, because "it's constantly whispering to us," and listening to it can help change the other areas of your life.

The argument rests on what she describes as a "very strong broken fix it paradigm" that most people grow up inside. She traces it to her own family. She describes a mother who loved her deeply but who, like her, had been raised in that same paradigm, so the response to every ailment was to "send her to the doctors, give her pills, which that's all we knew to do." Wozny says she grew up with "a ton of physical issues, mystery stuff," that no one could figure out, and that she was "a sweet little intuitive dealing with a lot of trauma." Her conclusion is personal: "I am my own experiment. I have tried and tested everything I'm sharing with you."

"I believe we grow up in a world with a very strong broken fix it paradigm which brings me to the first medicine I want to share, which is the medicine of wholeness and wisdom."

(Jamie Wozny, in the Medicine Activation session, around 13:40)

What does it mean to listen to the body in practice?

Wozny is specific about the method. She describes going into the body and asking it questions. "I'll ask it questions. What do you need? Are you..." she says, and the questions are meant to be answered by sensation and feeling rather than by analysis. She also describes treating pain as information rather than injury, and she frames the work as learning to hear what the body is signaling about the life around it, including the places where a person is "living not in my soul's truth," or believing they are "not worthy of being" what they want.

Crucially, she does not ask anyone to abandon medicine. "I believe in whatever medicine is appropriate for you is appropriate for you," she says, and then adds: "of course we need it when it's acute." Her stated purpose is narrower and, to her, more urgent: she wanted "someone to come in at the same time and teach" people how to listen. In other words, the body-listening practice is meant to run alongside conventional care, not in place of it. That balance is the part of the teaching most worth keeping, because it refuses the false choice between dismissing the body and trusting it blindly.

Where does this leave someone after the session?

The practical takeaways from the session are modest and repeatable. Breathe with a long exhale. Name what you came for without judging whether it is large enough. Write a neutral snapshot of where you stand, and keep it, so you can compare later. When something hurts, ask the body what it needs rather than only reaching for the fix. And hold the whole practice next to the medical care you need, not against it.

What makes the session distinctive is its insistence that healing is partly a matter of perception. Wozny's argument is that people who have grown up in a fix-it culture often cannot see their own progress, cannot hear their own bodies, and cannot tell the difference between a symptom that needs a pill and a signal that needs a conversation. The session is a small, deliberate attempt to rewire that habit, one breath and one written line at a time.

Where to go from here

This session is drawn from a longer group journey that Wozny calls "The Medicine You Are." According to the video description, the journey has already started, but the description notes there is still time to join for the following week. Details and sign-up are at www.jamiewozny.com/tmya. If you want to work with the material on your own first, begin with the simplest tools from the session: a long exhale into the belly, a written intention, and a neutral snapshot you can read again in a month. Then notice what your body says when you ask it, as Wozny suggests, what it needs.

Note: This article is a commentary on a single recorded session and reflects the speaker's own framing. It is not medical advice. For acute symptoms, consult a licensed medical professional.

[0:03] And let's just take some deeper breaths.

[0:05] Let's breathe into the belly,

[0:08] stretch and expand,

[0:15] and exhale.

[0:21] Breathe into the belly.

[0:28] Exhale slower than the inhale.

[0:34] There we go. Okay, we're clicking in

[0:36] now. Breathe into the belly.

[0:43] Okay, all you're going to do is breathe

[0:44] and relax. I call upon the highest

[0:46] fifthdimensional Reiki frequencies of

[0:48] the universe to channel through this

[0:50] entire container to channel through

[0:52] today in the background offering us

[0:54] whatever we need when we need it. If in

[0:56] your mind's eye you would like to

[0:57] receive this healing energy, just say

[0:59] yes.

[1:01] Can also offer the intention I choose to

[1:04] receive

[1:05] that which is love and light for my

[1:07] highest good and leave the rest.

[1:12] We intend that this this group, this

[1:14] container is connected to divine light.

[1:18] We only allow loving and light, wisdom

[1:21] and codes and energy and goodies to come

[1:25] into this space

[1:27] by the grace of God. The rest gone. Bye

[1:29] bye bye.

[1:32] And we ground into the earth.

[1:38] We call our soul fully back to our body

[1:41] from all time and space and dimension.

[1:43] and that we we ask for, we intend for,

[1:46] we choose grace and mercy and miracles

[1:49] and healing.

[1:51] Bring us

[1:53] the resolution our

[1:56] heart came here to receive.

[2:02] In this space, we go beyond the known.

[2:07] I intend for the group to receive the

[2:10] healing that they need to remember the

[2:13] truth that they need to hear through

[2:14] this container.

[2:17] That it be quick, that it be easy, that

[2:19] this be a light, joyous experience.

[2:24] We release that which isn't ours to

[2:25] carry

[2:28] and we call ourselves back home.

[2:33] Just breathing into the belly. Long slow

[2:34] exhale.

[2:39] And now from this place, there's no

[2:42] right or wrong answer. There's no

[2:44] impressive answer.

[2:48] Why are you here? What do you want? What

[2:50] do you seek?

[2:53] And maybe you let it bubble up in your

[2:55] consciousness.

[2:57] Maybe it's a feeling, a little joy in

[3:00] your heart or relief,

[3:03] clarity.

[3:05] Maybe it's to manifest a house. Maybe

[3:07] you're just like, I don't know. I just

[3:09] was weirdly drawn in this direction. And

[3:11] I'm curious

[3:16] if if I gave you a magic wand and and

[3:19] said, "What do you want from this

[3:21] experience? What do you desire beyond

[3:23] what you think is possible?

[3:26] What would you like to receive or what

[3:27] would you like to release from your

[3:29] life?" I'm just going to give you a

[3:31] quiet minute here to see what comes. And

[3:33] I'm going to invite you to to jot it

[3:36] down because we're going to use that as

[3:39] our anchor.

[4:55] And I would love if you would like to

[4:57] share in the chat, you can always

[4:59] private message to me. I can just read

[5:01] it out as anonymous or you can share in

[5:04] the chat um your intention because I do

[5:08] believe when we hold them with each

[5:10] other for each other and they're set out

[5:11] loud they're very potent

[5:17] because what happens is when we set this

[5:19] new energy into our energetic GPS life

[5:21] can meet us. Oh, you want peace. Oh, you

[5:24] want relief. Oh, you want security in

[5:27] your relationship. Okay. You want

[5:29] healing in your body.

[5:42] I love that community.

[5:45] Well, yours got manifested fast. Just

[5:48] head on over to That's beautiful.

[5:58] I intend community for you.

[6:11] Intention is to feel more connected to

[6:13] herself and to honor her inner knowing

[6:15] more often.

[6:17] That's beautiful. I'm gonna anybody that

[6:19] shares I'm going to write these down so

[6:20] I can bring them in.

[6:23] Um, self-connection. Yeah. Oh, man. You

[6:27] are in the right container. We're going

[6:28] to do a lot of that.

[6:32] All right. Honor inner knowing.

[6:39] So, I intend for you to feel more

[6:41] connected to yourself and honor your

[6:43] inner knowing.

[6:47] And we got community,

[6:52] belonging, safety, and self-worth.

[6:58] Amazing.

[7:02] Also in the right space. Um, I intend

[7:05] for you belonging, safety, and

[7:07] selfworth.

[7:09] I heard blessings, joy, and healing. Oh,

[7:12] yeah. Go for the light, fizzy.

[7:15] [laughter]

[7:16] I intend for you blessings, joy, and

[7:18] healing.

[7:21] Blessings,

[7:23] joy,

[7:25] healing.

[7:29] Releasing grief and anxiety.

[7:32] Beautiful.

[7:34] Actually been working on releasing grief

[7:36] myself. So, um I'll have a lot of

[7:39] embodiment to share here.

[7:42] I intend for you releasing grief and

[7:45] anxiety.

[7:50] Good.

[7:53] And anyone else that wants to share

[7:54] their intention, feel free to pop it in

[7:56] at any point.

[7:59] So the next thing we're going to do,

[8:02] there's no judgment here. This is just

[8:04] kind of your own scale. Cuz what I love

[8:07] to do in these groups is for us on day

[8:09] one just to take a snapshot.

[8:13] How do you feel? Where are you at? It's

[8:15] like here's my intention and then this

[8:18] is the lack of my intention, right? Like

[8:20] the I'm dealing with a lot of physical

[8:22] stuff. I don't I'm feeling tired. I'm

[8:24] feeling grief. I'm unmotivated. Whatever

[8:27] it might be that you're experiencing.

[8:29] And we're just going to jot it down

[8:31] because I'm a Virgo moon and [laughter]

[8:34] if anyone else has Virgo in their chart,

[8:37] seeing like how far you've come and that

[8:40] you are changing and that you're healing

[8:42] is everything for the nervous systems

[8:43] because it's so easy for us in these

[8:45] journeys to be like nothing's happening.

[8:47] I'm not changing. And then when we see

[8:50] whoa like look where you were, look

[8:52] where you are. It's everything. Okay.

[8:55] So, we're going to take a couple minutes

[8:57] here. snapshot for yourself. How are you

[9:00] currently feeling? Maybe the distance

[9:03] between you and your intention.

[9:06] Just current like ickiness of challenges

[9:09] in your life. Okay? And we're just going

[9:11] to write it down and keep it in a safe

[9:13] place. This is written with compassion,

[9:18] just a neutral snapshot.

[10:00] And there's no rush, but when you feel

[10:01] like you've written, you know, few words

[10:04] or a few sentences of where you are as a

[10:06] snapshot, your current symptoms, life

[10:09] challenges, just a just a few. Um, just

[10:12] give me an emoji in the chat so I know

[10:15] when to move on.

[11:13] I'll wait till I got three emojis to

[11:16] move on.

[11:41] >> [laughter]

[11:43] >> I don't know why they're making me

[11:44] laugh. You never know what someone's

[11:46] gonna put.

[11:47] [laughter]

[11:49] [sighs and gasps]

[11:50] Give me a third.

[12:07] >> [laughter]

[12:08] >> My guys, these are wowza. [laughter]

[12:13] [gasps]

[12:15] Awesome.

[12:18] Okay.

[12:21] So, you've got your intention. I want

[12:23] you to keep these two things in a safe

[12:25] space. The medicine you are folder.

[12:29] You got your intention for the group. No

[12:31] right or wrong, just what your heart's

[12:33] here for. And if you haven't shared and

[12:35] you still want to share in the chat, you

[12:37] can.

[12:40] And a little snapshot. This is where I

[12:41] am right now. Maybe mentally,

[12:43] physically, whatever,

[12:46] cuz we're going to check back in and see

[12:48] how far you've come as we go further

[12:51] along.

[12:56] So, I'm not going to, unless you guys

[12:58] are interested, you can tell me and I

[13:00] can tell you for another time, go deep

[13:01] into my story. I just want to get right

[13:03] into the healing. This just is near and

[13:06] dear to my heart. I grew up with a ton

[13:08] of physical issues,

[13:10] mystery stuff. No one could figure out

[13:12] what was wrong with me. Good God.

[13:15] But I was a sweet little intuitive

[13:18] dealing with a lot of trauma. And so

[13:22] this has been a very personal like I am

[13:26] my own experiment. I have tried and

[13:28] tested everything I'm sharing with you

[13:32] and it's [clears throat] a bummer and

[13:34] it's you know it is what it is. But I

[13:36] believe we grow up in a world

[13:38] with a very strong broken fix it

[13:41] paradigm which brings me to the first

[13:43] medicine I want to share which is the

[13:46] medicine

[13:48] of wholeness and wisdom. the medicine of

[13:50] wholeness and wisdom.

[13:53] Your body is not broken.

[13:57] Your body and your life. So if the body

[13:59] isn't you're not dealing with a body

[14:00] thing, fill in the blank. Relationship,

[14:02] financial situation, boredom, just fill

[14:05] in the blank. Okay? If body isn't the

[14:08] thing you're here for.

[14:10] Your body isn't broken. It's wise.

[14:13] Listen. And even if you're here for a

[14:14] different reason in the body, I'm going

[14:15] to share with you how it's a portal

[14:18] to assist you in changing the other

[14:20] areas of your life because it's

[14:21] constantly whispering to us.

[14:24] So,

[14:26] you know, it was innocent. I had many of

[14:28] you have met my mama. I had a mama that

[14:30] loved me dearly um but also grew up in

[14:33] similar broken fix it paradigm. And so,

[14:36] it was constant just send her to the

[14:38] doctors, give her pills, which that's

[14:40] all we knew to do. So I am a advocate of

[14:44] balance. I believe in whatever medicine

[14:46] is appropriate for you is appropriate

[14:49] for you. Um of course we need it when

[14:51] it's acute. Like we got we got to do all

[14:54] that stuff. So I'm not saying don't do

[14:55] all that stuff. But my purpose here is I

[14:59] needed someone to come in at the same

[15:01] time and teach all the stuff I'm

[15:03] teaching to you guys. How are you

[15:04] feeling? What do you need? Are you

[15:08] afraid of something? you know, teaching

[15:10] me about boundaries, all of this stuff,

[15:12] intuitive, how do I trust my inner

[15:14] wisdom? Am I feeling my own energy? Am I

[15:16] feeling someone else's energy? [sighs]

[15:19] And so, my journey went from what the is

[15:23] wrong with me? Why can't I figure out

[15:25] what's going on? And this is not an easy

[15:27] path. So I have so much compassion and

[15:30] empathy for you

[15:33] to

[15:34] when there's a symptom, when there's a

[15:37] sensation, when there's a block anywhere

[15:39] in your life, I get curious now

[15:43] because I so deeply believe in wholeness

[15:46] and wisdom

[15:49] that everything

[15:52] is expanding us, everything is

[15:54] whispering to us. So go to the doctor,

[15:58] deal with the thing, use your inner

[16:00] wisdom, and don't stop there. What are

[16:04] you trying to tell me, body? What are

[16:05] you, what's going on? So some examples I

[16:09] wrote down recently, I do these

[16:10] practices. I'm going to take you through

[16:12] these practices where I put my hands on

[16:14] my body and I'll ask it questions. What

[16:16] do you feel?

[16:18] What do you need? What are you trying to

[16:21] tell me? I didn't grow up with that. I

[16:24] grew up with

[16:26] somebody very afraid of my symptoms

[16:28] trying to shut them down,

[16:31] you know, and I'm sure you guys probably

[16:33] had similar experiences too and then we

[16:35] treat oursel like that.

[16:39] So my symptoms and I'm sharing this with

[16:41] you so that

[16:43] hopefully you can begin to try this

[16:45] perspective on for size because it's

[16:47] served me greatly

[16:51] recently. Any symptoms or sensations I

[16:54] experience are helping me see myself

[16:57] more, hear myself more, and love myself

[17:00] more. Anytime I feel unloved, unseen, or

[17:04] unheard shows up in my body. I'm

[17:08] gripping. I'm squeezing. I'm pissed. My

[17:11] throat gets really tight.

[17:14] My chest gets really tight. I can't

[17:16] breathe.

[17:20] And I I get quiet. I'm like, "What is

[17:24] going on?" I feel the sensations that

[17:26] might be arising. I honor them as the

[17:28] work many of you guys know that I do.

[17:32] And I listen and I get curious and I

[17:35] explore all the stuff we're going to do

[17:36] here with me. by asking a million

[17:38] questions so we can unpack what's going

[17:40] on, what's the pattern, what's under the

[17:42] hood.

[17:45] And what I came to see is, and this is

[17:47] the other part of wholeness and wisdom.

[17:49] I'm I'm starting to see, and I well, I

[17:51] have been seeing this for about 10

[17:52] years, that life is a mirror.

[17:55] And you can use your partners and people

[17:57] closest to you if you don't. I didn't

[17:59] feel loved. I didn't feel seen. I didn't

[18:01] feel heard.

[18:04] That doesn't mean we can excuse bad

[18:06] behavior. That doesn't mean we're

[18:07] settling. So again, deal with life.

[18:12] And I know enough from being an inner

[18:14] seeker and a spiritual teacher and doing

[18:16] this work for so long, man. I am

[18:18] expanding. This rage in me is an

[18:22] opportunity for growth. I am not broken.

[18:24] I am wise. What is going on?

[18:29] And so I realized I wasn't hearing

[18:32] little me. I wasn't hearing myself.

[18:36] I and I sat with it and I journaled with

[18:38] it and I got curious with it and I

[18:39] listened to my intuition with it. Again,

[18:41] all things we're going to be doing here.

[18:45] And I heard that I was hearing myself

[18:49] and loving myself the way I was loved,

[18:51] which was with convenience.

[18:54] So, I had lots of people in my life that

[18:56] loved me conveniently and didn't go the

[18:58] little extra mile that didn't didn't

[19:00] offer effort. And so, I was loving

[19:02] myself that way. I was, oh, there's some

[19:05] people coming in. I was innocently

[19:09] hearing myself and loving myself going

[19:11] to the closest hike, but not the hike I

[19:13] really wanted to. Putting a keyboard

[19:17] bench because I want to play piano again

[19:19] on my Christmas list, but not going to

[19:20] to buy the keyboard bench now.

[19:25] And so if I had hi, if I had

[19:30] gone, let me suppress this. Let me not

[19:34] listen to this tension in my chest.

[19:37] I would have no idea that I deserved

[19:40] better from myself.

[19:43] And again, I understand which is why

[19:44] this is a container. This intimacy, this

[19:48] what I call the language of the soul of

[19:52] like depicting this. It's we have to get

[19:54] curious. We have to learn. And we're

[19:55] learning all of those channels together

[19:57] in this four months practicing together.

[20:01] But it's amazing to me. And it's hard.

[20:02] is cuz I want other people to just sit

[20:04] and hear me and love me and like you

[20:06] know make it easy and they do but

[20:09] genuinely I believe and I've seen

[20:12] like it really is a in here first

[20:16] and so my body isn't okay what's the

[20:19] medicine today the medicine of wholeness

[20:21] and wisdom your body is not broken it's

[20:23] wise listen

[20:26] this is saying honey you deserve effort

[20:30] go to buy the

[20:33] Honey, listen. Listen, listen listen to

[20:35] what she needs. See yourself,

[20:40] which is I realize cuz I was like, I'm

[20:43] telling myself I I see you. I see you.

[20:44] And it's not doing anything. And I just

[20:46] taught a class in meditation this last

[20:48] week

[20:50] where seeing myself I'm learning is a

[20:52] just self-witnessing. And then I started

[20:55] to feel seen when I just was looking. I

[20:57] was watching myself in my day.

[21:00] Again, the pain in my body, I didn't

[21:02] know that there was an opportunity for

[21:04] more. Seeing that there was an

[21:06] opportunity for more pissed my partner

[21:09] wasn't loving me the way I wanted to be

[21:11] loved.

[21:12] So, I did it myself and it all showed up

[21:16] in my body. What does that look like? I

[21:18] was like, "God, I really wish you would

[21:20] come over and kiss my forehead right

[21:21] now." Well, you know what I did? Might

[21:23] look dumb, but I took my hand and I

[21:25] pressed it like this on my forehead

[21:27] because that's what I wanted. And I

[21:28] wanted that sensation and I took my

[21:31] power back. So my journey from of

[21:33] healing the last 1015 years has been

[21:35] putting everything outside of me, which

[21:37] is why I'm all about empowerment to

[21:39] calling it all back. That doesn't mean

[21:41] independent,

[21:43] you know, no interdependence,

[21:45] tough guy, tough girl, we don't need

[21:47] nobody else. Self-love is the way. No,

[21:51] it's the first thing though, right? And

[21:54] so your bank account, your grief, your

[21:59] um relationships, your physical health,

[22:03] I know it's bad. I know it's painful

[22:06] sometimes, or at least it was for me,

[22:08] debilitatingly so at times,

[22:12] but maybe through this sacred medicine

[22:15] that I'm opening up and we're going to

[22:16] talk about here in a second, you can at

[22:19] least say, "Oh, hand on the heart. Here

[22:21] it comes. We're going to you're going to

[22:22] repeat out loud after me. We're going to

[22:23] do a lot of this. You're going to say,

[22:24] "Could I open to the possibility

[22:29] that maybe the way I've seen my body in

[22:31] my life

[22:34] is not helpful

[22:37] and I was taught wrong?" We're going to

[22:40] hold that word loosely.

[22:44] And could I open to the possibility that

[22:47] maybe it contains wisdom?

[22:52] And I just need to learn to listen

[22:56] to my life and my body. Body is just a

[22:58] reflection of my life.

[23:04] And could I open to the possibility this

[23:05] is going to be messy and weird and

[23:07] imperfect.

[23:11] But that even through pain, it's on my

[23:13] side.

[23:16] Let's just breathe in, breathe out. Why?

[23:19] You're like, why would pain why are

[23:22] symptoms on my side?

[23:25] Well, when we touch a hot pot on the

[23:27] stove, our hand goes.

[23:30] It's a It tells us stop.

[23:33] So, I'm using myself as an example right

[23:35] now. If I'm perpetually, right, 30 years

[23:38] old, 32 years old, 33, 40, 42, if I'm

[23:42] perpetually

[23:44] living not in my soul's truth, not

[23:46] seeing myself, not hearing myself, not

[23:48] loving myself, and that's what my soul

[23:49] wants for my expansion, it's going to

[23:52] scream louder, more symptoms just to

[23:55] say, "Honey, you're working against

[23:56] yourself. You're not hearing me.

[23:59] You're believing the lies. You're

[24:01] believing the illusions. You're

[24:02] believing you're not worthy of being

[24:03] seen. So, you're living in that

[24:04] self-fulfilling prophecy. You're

[24:06] believing that love lives outside of

[24:07] yourself. Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow,

[24:12] louder, louder, louder, louder, louder.

[24:16] I said this for years.

[24:19] I don't know where I got it. Actually, I

[24:20] went I don't really go to church, but I

[24:22] went to church with a friend. This was

[24:24] years ago, and I was listening to a

[24:26] sermon, and he said, "God does not let

[24:30] you run with scissors."

[24:33] And this is what I believe about the

[24:35] body. And I'm saying this to you from

[24:37] somebody who's been in severe pain times

[24:39] in her life.

[24:42] But if you run in with scissors, if you

[24:45] are

[24:47] living against the truth your soul's

[24:49] here for, and it's all innocent, angel

[24:51] friends, it's all innocent what we're

[24:52] doing. We can't see it. It's why we're

[24:53] having this container.

[24:56] But if we're running with scissors,

[24:58] meaning we're innocently hurting

[24:59] ourselves, it's going to show up in the

[25:01] body or in our life as an opportunity

[25:04] for more love, more expansion, more

[25:07] truth. What an amazing perspective.

[25:12] Like

[25:14] how cool if they taught us this. Deal

[25:17] with acute pain. Deal with whatever is

[25:19] going on. Tend to the wound. Nurture

[25:21] yourself. Take the Adavville if you have

[25:24] period pain or hurt ankle or whatever

[25:27] that and then talk to the body. Ask it

[25:29] what's going on.

[25:31] I know you're just trying to tell me

[25:32] something. Sometimes it's as simple as

[25:35] there's a suppressed emotion and the

[25:38] body's holding it because you're not

[25:40] giving it a place to go. And so the the

[25:42] the

[25:44] skin issues that are going on is the

[25:46] anger saying, "Honey, don't be afraid of

[25:48] me. Feel me. Let me burn through your

[25:50] body. You're not too much.

[25:58] I'm going to pause there." Okay. So that

[26:02] is the

[26:04] medicine of wholeness and wisdom. Life

[26:06] is a mirror. Our body is a mirror. It's

[26:09] not here to hurt us. Yes, it can hurt.

[26:11] Like there's wisdom in it. We must move

[26:14] beyond our brain. We must open to at

[26:17] least knowing, okay, I know that my

[26:20] emptier bank account and my struggling

[26:22] relationship and my physical symptoms

[26:24] look like I'm a broken piece of but

[26:28] this is this is God not letting me run

[26:30] with scissors and and an oper and I'm

[26:32] holding it must be holding a hot pot.

[26:34] There's something I can't see. So, let

[26:35] me work with somebody who's got eyes for

[26:37] the unseen and translating

[26:41] the language of the body and the soul.

[26:43] So it's not exact.

[26:46] It's a it's an inner knowing that will

[26:48] arise. It's a patterning that we'll see.

[26:51] The messages come from within. We'll

[26:53] talk about this because we have a whole

[26:56] medicine on your inner guidance. So I'm

[26:57] going to teach you guys how the you even

[26:59] hear the body. What does it sound like?

[27:01] So all of this these pieces are going to

[27:03] go together.

[27:06] But I hope that this perspective on your

[27:08] hard days or your physical sensations at

[27:10] least help help you go, okay, this isn't

[27:14] brokenness. They taught me wrong.

[27:17] This is something that just needs an

[27:19] ear. And just because it's not

[27:21] brokenness might doesn't mean it doesn't

[27:24] need tending to. You might need to wrap

[27:26] it in a sling or put cream on it or

[27:29] whatever your ch your wisdom is guiding

[27:31] you to do. But I'm asking if you can

[27:34] hold both at once for an opportunity for

[27:36] your healing. Okay.

In this session, Jamie Wozny argues that people grow up inside a 'broken fix it paradigm' that treats symptoms as malfunctions to be silenced. She proposes instead that the body is wise and constantly communicating, so symptoms can be read as messages about the rest of a person's life. She is clear that acute medical care is still needed when appropriate.
Wozny uses the phrase to name the first of the 'medicines' she shares in the session. It centers on the idea that your body and your life are not separate problems, and that listening to the body can help change other areas such as relationships or finances. She presents it as a complement to conventional treatment.
Wozny's instruction in the session is to breathe into the belly, let it stretch and expand, and then exhale slower than the inhale. She repeats this cue throughout to create a steady rhythm before deeper reflection begins. The practice is simple enough to do at home without special equipment.
A snapshot is a short, neutral written record of where you are right now, including current symptoms and life challenges. Wozny asks participants to keep it and revisit it later, so they can see how far they have come. She says seeing that progress matters because people in healing journeys often feel nothing is changing.
Wozny believes they do. She says that when intentions are set out loud and held by the group, 'they're very potent,' and she describes this as setting new energy into one's 'energetic GPS' so life can meet you. This is her framing and is part of a spiritual perspective rather than a clinically tested claim.
No. In this session Wozny explicitly says she believes in whatever medicine is appropriate for each person and that conventional medicine is needed when something is acute. Her point is that body listening should run alongside medical care, not replace it. Decisions about medication should be made with a licensed clinician.
