Mediumship Questions Answered: What Students Really Ask

Before the first question is read aloud, the chat fills with places. Georgia from Tucson, Stephanie from San Francisco, Northern Ireland, New York City, Boston, Montana, St. Louis, Denver, Toronto, the Channel Islands, someone who is on holiday in Vegas. Karen Frances McCarthy, a mediumship teacher who has built a long-running body of work around evidential practice, greets each arrival by name and by city, as if she were taking the register at a rehearsal before the band tunes up. It is a small, warm ritual, and it sets the terms of the next eighty minutes. These are people who have come to learn a craft, and many of them have been carrying the same nervous questions for a long time. Her annual session, published on YouTube in November 2025 under the title "Your Questions on Mediumship," is a deliberate roundup: she gathers the questions sent in through registration, groups them by theme, and works through them on the principle that no single question should have to stand alone. What emerges is less a set of answers than a portrait of how serious students think about contact with the other side, where they get stuck, and what a teacher with real standards will and will not say.

Why do so many mediumship students ask the same questions?

McCarthy is candid about why she runs the session this way. Questions arrive by email all year, and the overlap is striking. "A lot of people have very similar questions," she tells the room, and she frames the grouping as a kind of permission slip. "Sometimes we can feel god I've got such a dumb question I don't want to ask it and then you find 10 other people have the same questions so that can be quite reassuring as well." That line says a good deal about the emotional terrain of developing as a medium. Most students are not wrestling with exotic puzzles. They are wrestling with the fear of looking foolish, of getting a message wrong, of sounding like a fraud to themselves. A roundup strips some of the isolation out of the process.

She also makes a point of setting boundaries early. Predictions about the end of the world came up, and she declined to engage them: "I'm not here for predictions. Sorry." Questions about the purpose of life, she notes, could fill an hour, a week, or a year, and she gives them a one-line answer and moves on. That discipline matters. A teacher who answers everything with the same confidence is teaching students that certainty is cheap. McCarthy's pattern, across this session, is to name what can be addressed in the time available and to say plainly what sits outside her field.

How are development questions different from questions about loved ones?

McCarthy sorts the material into three rough piles: questions about development, questions about "connecting and maintaining connections with your own loved ones," and a residue of questions that belong to other disciplines. The development questions are the teaching core. The loved-ones questions are the emotional core, and they are harder to hold. A student who wants to keep a relationship alive after a death is asking something different from a student who wants to train a skill, even when both show up in the same inbox.

The out-of-scope questions get the most honest treatment. People asked about the Akashic records, and McCarthy said directly that it is "not my field, not my area." Rather than improvise, she pointed to a friend in Ireland who works with past-life progression and Akashic records, and she said she would share links to further resources. This is a small thing, but it shows a principle that runs through the whole session: know the edge of your competence, and send people across it to someone who knows the ground.

Why does evidential work come before advanced practice?

Around the middle of the session, McCarthy explains how her teaching has been reorganized. She no longer teaches beginner mediumship live; beginner material now lives in recorded classes, while live time goes to advanced work. The reason is partly about attention. Her live sessions were absorbing so much effort on fundamentals that the advanced material was getting squeezed. She had been fielding a pattern she describes plainly: people who had completed introductory work and then moved toward advanced study without, in her words, knowing much at all about the basics.

Her answer was to tie advanced access to a demonstrated foundation. She insists that "everybody needs to have a good solid foundation in evidential mediumship" before entering the closed mentoring programs. Evidential mediumship, in her usage, is the discipline of checking what comes through against what can be verified, so that the student learns to tell a clear communication from a hopeful one. You can think of it the way a session musician thinks about time. A drummer who can't keep a steady click will not be rescued by a fancier fill. The groove has to be there first, and it has to be there under pressure, not just in the practice room.

For a reader outside the training world, the principle is worth absorbing even without the courses. Evidence is not a sign of cynicism in this framework. It is the thing that protects the student, and the sitter, from mistaking their own wishes for a message.

Why should a reader be wary of a rapid-fire list of facts?

One of the sharpest moments in the talk comes when McCarthy turns to how readings can go wrong. She sets up the failure mode with a phrase that stuck: "20 spot-on facts about your loved one." The image is of a reading that stacks up a dense pile of specifics, each one landing with apparent accuracy, until the sheer volume feels like proof. McCarthy is pointing at the trap. A long run of details can impress the sitter and the medium alike while revealing very little about what was actually communicated, and the volume can hide how much was supplied by the sitter's own memory and the room's expectations.

The alternative she gestures toward is more patient. A communication is clearer when it is offered with appropriate humility, when the medium can say what they are unsure of, and when the detail is allowed to be checked rather than swept along by momentum. This is the same instinct that separates a performer who overplays a solo from one who lets the phrase breathe. Restraint reads as weakness to some audiences. In a sitting with a grieving person, it is the more respectful choice.

How do you read a symbol without forcing a meaning onto it?

The session's most concrete teaching comes in a reading McCarthy walks through, in which an image of daisies appears. She describes how the symbol can be interpreted in more than one direction, and she works through the possibility that the image points to a pregnancy loss, including the idea that the spirit communicating could be an in-utero soul. What matters is the posture she takes toward the symbol. She does not treat the daisies as a code with a single key. She holds the interpretation loosely, tests it against what the sitter can recognize, and remains open to being wrong.

That openness is the craft. Symbols are where mediums most often over-commit, because a vivid image feels like a gift and a student wants to deliver it. McCarthy's approach asks the medium to put the image down on the table, describe it plainly, and let the person in front of them say whether it lands. The meaning is then built with the sitter rather than handed down. For a reader, the lesson applies beyond mediumship: an ambiguous sign is not a failure of communication. It is an invitation to listen more closely.

What role does fear play in learning to mediumship?

Fear runs under much of the question pile, and McCarthy addresses it as a practical matter rather than a moral one. Students describe a resistance to opening up, a lingering wariness that the work might be dangerous, or a sense that they have "blocks or walls" blocking their channel. She treats these as legitimate experiences to be worked with, not as proof that a student lacks ability. She encourages daily practices that a student can do on their own, and she suggests that where a question touches on distress, a student may be better served by a counselor than by more spirit work.

That last point deserves emphasis. A teacher who is serious about mediumship should also be serious about the person doing it. McCarthy's willingness to say that some things belong with a counselor is a sign of a grounded practice, one that does not treat contact with the other side as a cure for everything.

Where to go from here

The full video runs about eighty minutes, and its real value is in the sequence: a room of people from many time zones, a set of questions that turn out to be shared, and a teacher who keeps returning to the same demands. Be specific. Be humble. Know your boundaries. Build the foundation before reaching for the advanced material. Let a symbol stay ambiguous until the person in front of you can help define it.

If you are new to this material, start with the questions you are most embarrassed to ask, because they are likely the ones most people share. If you are already practicing, take the evidential standard seriously and keep a log of what you actually get right and wrong; it will teach you more than any single reading. And if a question you bring to the work touches real grief or distress, take it to a counselor as well. The video's description points to McCarthy's website and social channels for her own teaching and for the recommended resources she mentioned during the session.

[0:00] So this is um our annual I do this

[0:04] usually once maybe twice a year where we

[0:06] just kind of do a roundup of questions

[0:08] that people have that come up. So I will

[0:10] do my best this morning. I have lots and

[0:13] lots of questions that were sent in from

[0:16] the registration forms which I will uh

[0:18] I've tried to group together. So there's

[0:19] quite a lot of questions. So obviously

[0:21] we won't get to them all individually

[0:23] but um I will get to I'm trying to group

[0:26] them. So I'll talk I might not be

[0:28] directly answering your question but

[0:30] we'll be answering on a theme. So sort

[0:32] of organize them a bit like that this

[0:34] morning and then while we're just giving

[0:37] it a couple of minutes to get started um

[0:39] if you would all love to um pop your

[0:43] good morning hello where you're joining

[0:45] us from in the chat box just to say good

[0:48] morning to everyone here from all the

[0:50] various different parts of the world

[0:51] presumably. We'll get cracking then in a

[0:54] few minutes. Good morning, Georgia from

[0:56] Tucson. Stephanie from San Francisco.

[0:58] There's more people coming in. Northern

[1:01] Ireland. Oh, Kate. Hello, Kate.

[1:05] Victoria from New York City. It's warm

[1:08] in New York City today. Boston. Mary,

[1:10] Montana. So, oh, and Northampton.

[1:13] Northampton, Massachusetts, presumably.

[1:16] St. Louis, Denver.

[1:19] Da.

[1:22] Da. Where's Desta from? See? No, another

[1:26] poll out from New York City. Northern

[1:27] California. The Channel Island. Oh, how

[1:30] nice. Vegas. Oh, on holidays. Montana,

[1:35] Toronto. Des you in Montana. Justin from

[1:38] Toronto. A few Canadians with us as well

[1:40] today. Barbara near Tucson. So, a few of

[1:42] you, a couple of you from Tucson as well

[1:44] in the neighborhood. You can probably

[1:46] get together.

[1:48] So, right. What I try to do with these

[1:51] is that lots of people have all these

[1:53] questions that come up all the time. I

[1:54] get these emails of questions all the

[1:56] time. So, what I tried to do once or

[1:57] twice a year is sort of do a roundup of

[2:00] questions and sort of have this this

[2:02] sort of forum to try to answer. To be

[2:06] honest, a lot of people have very

[2:08] similar questions. So, I think it's kind

[2:10] of handy to sort of have the group

[2:12] together because you'll probably find

[2:14] that a question you had you're sharing.

[2:17] Sometimes we can feel god I've got such

[2:18] a dumb question I don't want to ask it

[2:19] and then you find 10 other people have

[2:21] the same questions so that can be quite

[2:23] reassuring as well. So what I have some

[2:27] questions that are they generally tend

[2:29] to be about development. I've also got a

[2:32] bunch of questions about connecting uh

[2:34] and maintaining connections with your

[2:36] own loved ones. Uh, and then, um, I've

[2:39] got a bunch of questions really outside

[2:42] the scope of a Q&A on mediumship and

[2:45] spirit communication. But I, um, there a

[2:48] few people asked about the accashic

[2:50] records. Not my field, not my area, but

[2:53] I do have a friend, a good friend in

[2:54] Ireland who does a lot of past life

[2:57] progression and aashic records work. So,

[2:59] I can recommend her to you. And

[3:00] obviously, if you're interested in

[3:02] Casey's Aashic records, Kevin Teddeshi,

[3:04] of course. So, I have a bunch of links

[3:06] for you for all of that extra

[3:08] information which I'll send either in

[3:11] the chat by the end of the class or

[3:12] we'll put it in the email with the link

[3:14] to the recording for today. So, you'll

[3:16] get those links so you can look into

[3:17] those further yourself. Some people

[3:20] asked me about the end of the world. All

[3:22] sorts of predictions. I'm not here for

[3:24] predictions. Sorry. But, um, all we can

[3:28] all we can do is hope and pray at this

[3:30] point, right? So, uh, and some of these

[3:33] questions are way way too mass. So is

[3:34] there a spiritual purpose in life? I'm

[3:37] just going to say yes. Getting into the

[3:39] question of the spiritual purpose in

[3:40] life in itself could take us an hour, a

[3:43] week, a year to discuss. But um so let

[3:45] me get started on um the questions that

[3:48] I got from you guys. Starting with

[3:51] mediumship development. I do also want

[3:53] to just let you know that I have um I

[3:58] think I've told some of you this before.

[4:00] Um, I have uh I don't I'm not teaching

[4:04] beginner's mediumship live anymore. I'm

[4:07] only teaching advanced mediumship live,

[4:10] but I've created two quite robust um on

[4:14] demand classes that give you invites to

[4:18] our monthly live practice circles. So,

[4:20] the teachings for beginners mediumship

[4:22] now you can get in the on demand

[4:23] classes. You can find your practice

[4:25] partners because you have to do all

[4:26] sorts of practices in those. Um you can

[4:29] join our spiritsbased Facebook community

[4:31] and find practice partners to do those

[4:34] exercises with and then come to our

[4:36] monthly practice circle. The monthly

[4:37] practice circle now is new. I've started

[4:40] for this reason to give people doing

[4:42] master classes a way to kind of get some

[4:45] live practice in a moderated

[4:46] environment. It's only just so you know

[4:49] only open to registered students of

[4:50] mine. It's not a public circle. It's

[4:53] just for um students who want to

[4:56] practice what they're learning. Right?

[4:57] So, it's private group. You just get

[4:59] invited to that if you're doing a master

[5:02] class. So, I'll talk a little bit more

[5:03] about that uh later on. But, we've got a

[5:06] special offer for the month of February

[5:09] because now I've got a mediumship

[5:10] foundations and a mediumship

[5:11] intermediate. So, intermediate is the

[5:13] new course that we're just launching.

[5:15] I'll give you a quick look and we'll

[5:17] come back to this later. So, this is the

[5:20] mediumship intermediate masterass. So,

[5:22] you get $150 when you buy the if you

[5:24] want to sign up for it now. You can get

[5:26] the bundle with the foundations and the

[5:28] intermediate. So together it's 20

[5:29] sessions and nearly I think overund

[5:32] maybe 130 individual lessons in it. So

[5:35] it gives if you want we'll give you this

[5:37] link in the email as well. But this will

[5:39] give you actually a description of um

[5:42] what's in the course. There's a intro

[5:44] there. I won't play this. It's only a

[5:47] couple of minutes long but you can check

[5:48] that out on your own time. So quite a

[5:50] lot of details about what's in the

[5:52] class, what you'll get from the class.

[5:53] There's a breakdown here. Hope I'm not

[5:56] scrolling too fast now, giving anybody a

[5:58] headache. Also, just information about

[6:00] my lineage and the advantages of

[6:02] lineages. Then there's obviously

[6:05] as I mentioned the live practice circles

[6:07] and our spirits space community. So you

[6:09] can actually uh connect with people live

[6:11] do your practices live chat make friends

[6:13] live. There's also this is a new thing

[6:16] I've introduced certificate of

[6:18] completion. So anybody who has done the

[6:20] foundations or intermediate course or

[6:24] both, we have a log book that's included

[6:26] in the course now and when you log all

[6:28] your practices and your work, you can

[6:30] get a certificate of completion. Once

[6:32] you get the certificate of completion, I

[6:33] just need to see the logs to know

[6:34] because people were saying, "Oh yeah, I

[6:35] did the course and coming up for

[6:36] advanced classes and then hadn't done

[6:38] anywhere, didn't know anything at all,

[6:40] so I hadn't done any classes." So now I

[6:42] just ask you to send in your log books.

[6:43] And what that does is you makes you

[6:45] eligible for the advanced classes

[6:46] because they're closed mentoring

[6:48] programs, but everybody needs to have a

[6:51] good solid foundation in evidential

[6:52] mediumship before before coming to

[6:54] those. So this is a way to do that to

[6:55] help you and then give you opportunities

[6:58] to take live classes to advance. Lots of

[7:00] testimonials from very lovely students,

[7:02] bit about me, bit more about me if you

[7:04] hadn't heard enough about me. And then

[7:06] we have these special intro offers. So

[7:08] we've got the little mediumship bundles.

[7:11] um here for uh uh if you want you can

[7:14] take get both the courses found

[7:16] beginners and intermediate for 100 bucks

[7:18] off or you can just sign up for it

[7:19] individually if you want. So that's that

[7:22] on the course and just a quick look so

[7:24] you can see what it looks like inside.

[7:26] So all the classes are broken down. So

[7:28] this is a new format for any of you

[7:30] who've done other master classes with

[7:31] me. It's a new format. This time you

[7:33] actually it will track your progress for

[7:35] you. It will let you know where you are

[7:37] in the course, where you've left off, so

[7:38] you don't have to keep trying to

[7:39] remember, oh god, did I do that lesson

[7:40] or not? And there's all this extra bonus

[7:43] workshops uh related to the content, and

[7:47] of course, lots of um you know,

[7:49] different types of very foundational

[7:51] fundamental really training for

[7:53] mediumship. So that goes on. So that's

[7:56] the there's 12 of those sessions. And

[7:58] then in the oops now we don't want to

[8:00] sign up but in the mediumship

[8:01] foundations course as well as the

[8:02] beginners's course there's eight

[8:04] sessions in that and um 108 now the

[8:07] lessons are very small 108 lessons you

[8:10] are not going to be there till you're

[8:11] 108 yourself but um the lessons are

[8:15] designed to be quite small in little

[8:17] bites so that you can bookmark them you

[8:19] can return to them because the thing

[8:20] about mediumship is is that we never

[8:23] take everything in the first time. We

[8:24] take in what we are aware of, what we're

[8:27] ready to hear, and then we will move on

[8:31] with our development, and then something

[8:32] that you heard a year ago suddenly makes

[8:35] sense, and then you can go back and

[8:36] listen to it again. So, they're designed

[8:38] so that you can kind of pop around back

[8:40] and forth um and and pick up anything

[8:43] that you um go, oh, I think I remember

[8:46] something about that some point before,

[8:48] and you can go back and just pick up the

[8:49] little lessons. You don't have to scroll

[8:50] through hours and hours um to get to

[8:53] that. So, that's the course. Like I

[8:55] said, there's 120 bucks off just for the

[8:56] month of February. We'll send you out

[8:58] links and all that kind of stuff after

[8:59] class. But the reason I'm saying that is

[9:01] because a lot of the questions that I

[9:03] got asked today, I actually cover in

[9:05] these classes. The other thing I would

[9:07] like I want you I would encourage you to

[9:09] do is on my YouTube channel, my

[9:12] Instagram account, um I have somebody

[9:15] does social media for me and they pull

[9:17] clips from all of my classes and they

[9:19] post all these 90-cond clips. So, if you

[9:22] follow me on Instagram, just scroll back

[9:24] through the reels or on my YouTube

[9:26] channel, you'll see lots and lots of

[9:28] questions that have been asked already

[9:30] answered there. So, they're just free

[9:32] resources. If you want to go if you've

[9:34] got a question, you can scroll or

[9:36] sometimes you don't realize you want you

[9:38] had a question until you see somebody

[9:39] else had asked it. So, I'd encourage

[9:42] you, we'll send you out the link to my

[9:43] Instagram account and um and in out to

[9:47] the the development classes as well.

[9:51] what level ex the eternal bonds course

[9:52] is not a mediumship class. That class is

[9:55] designed specifically for you to develop

[9:58] and maintain relationships with your own

[10:00] loved ones. So learning how to

[10:03] communicate and maintain connections

[10:04] with your own loved ones is different

[10:06] from learning mediumship which is

[10:08] learning a skill and practices and

[10:11] dealing with strangers for strangers. So

[10:13] mediumship is taught mediumship

[10:15] development is taught in a very

[10:17] different way from the way I teach

[10:18] eternal bonds. So bal eternal bonds is a

[10:21] very personal journey and it's really

[10:23] about you and your loved ones and

[10:25] teaching you I don't have eternal bonds

[10:27] didn't pull it up here for those of you

[10:29] who don't know what this is um I have um

[10:33] an eternal bonds on demand class as well

[10:36] that let me see if I can share this

[10:40] um

[10:43] share screen here this so the eternal

[10:46] bonds can you see that

[10:49] Let me put Oh, here we go. So, eternal

[10:51] bonds is this course here. And this is

[10:56] for people who are not trying to develop

[10:58] mediumship to go out and start working

[11:00] with the public and working with the

[11:02] brief. This is for people whose loved

[11:04] ones are in the afterlife who want to

[11:07] just learn to maintain that and develop

[11:09] their very unique personal language

[11:11] between them and their loved ones and

[11:13] how to develop the sensitivity, how to

[11:15] work with signs, all of that kind of

[11:18] thing. So you can go to you can find out

[11:20] this on my website as well. There's

[11:21] quite a lot of detail on what this

[11:23] course is as well. But like I said, um,

[11:26] eternal bonds and eternal bonds is not

[11:28] necessarily for mediums. External bonds

[11:29] is for anybody because everybody has the

[11:32] ability to maintain a relationship and

[11:34] maintain communication with their own

[11:37] loved ones. So that's what this course

[11:39] is geared towards. It's just between you

[11:41] and your loved ones and learning how to

[11:44] understand the language between the two

[11:45] of you. Quite a different mechanism from

[11:49] having to learn evidential mediumship,

[11:51] how to work with all of these different

[11:52] senses, how to work with people sitting

[11:54] in front of you, work with strangers. So

[11:57] um so to answer the question that was

[11:59] popped in the chat there from um who po

[12:01] who popped it in Carol I think yeah

[12:04] Carol it's eternal bond is not any level

[12:07] it that's a very personal journey

[12:08] between you and your loved ones all

[12:10] right okay good all right marvelous so

[12:13] jumping on to questions I'll go through

[12:15] since all of you registered anyone who

[12:17] registered in the last sort of hour I

[12:19] don't have your questions anybody who

[12:20] registered before that I probably have

[12:22] them here and I will get through them as

[12:24] many as I can like I said I've kind of

[12:25] bunded led them. Um, but let's and then

[12:28] what we'll do is we'll get through as

[12:30] many of these and then we'll do sort of

[12:31] a short sort of 10-minute little

[12:33] practice. I was thinking maybe um

[12:36] because it's going to be short um maybe

[12:38] we'll do um meeting a loved one, meeting

[12:41] a guide, something like that rather than

[12:43] actual mediumship which we actually

[12:45] obviously need a circle to do. Um the

[12:48] and for any of you who are forgot to

[12:50] mention anybody who is already a student

[12:52] of who has either taken a live course

[12:54] with me or is taking a master class our

[12:58] first practice circle I think is on

[13:00] Saturday in two weeks. So you'll get an

[13:02] email you'll get that let's put that in

[13:04] the email as well. So that's for

[13:06] registered students you'll get an email

[13:07] about that. So that's a live class. So

[13:09] anybody who's interested in the

[13:10] mediumship practice come along to that.

[13:12] We won't do that in this class today

[13:13] because we really need to do that in

[13:15] breakout rooms. We in a whole hour just

[13:17] for that right now getting on with the

[13:20] questions. I'm going to just start with

[13:22] sort of um foundational mediumship

[13:24] questions. So Nancy, I think I saw

[13:26] Nancy, you're in here somewhere. Um uh

[13:29] you asked just a question that comes up

[13:31] with the difference between building the

[13:32] power and meditation and attuning. So

[13:34] build so I talk about for those of you

[13:36] who haven't done this um and again I

[13:39] would say go to the YouTube channel, go

[13:40] to the Instagram channel. I've talked

[13:42] I've given entire talks and lectures on

[13:44] these sorts of subjects and I've given

[13:46] very short little answers in our Q

[13:48] mediumship in the afterlife Q&A on

[13:50] Instagram and YouTube as well. So you

[13:52] can probably if I if you feel like I've

[13:54] skimmed something you didn't quite get

[13:56] the gist of it you can certainly go to

[13:58] those free resources and learn more. So

[14:02] for mediumship we need to basically

[14:04] attune and for eternal bonds as well we

[14:06] need to attune move ourselves into

[14:08] basically an altered state which is

[14:10] called attunement and what we're doing

[14:12] is we are attuning to the vibration of

[14:15] the dimension of the unseen world. So

[14:18] what we do when we're practicing or

[14:20] develop mediumship is um we learn to

[14:24] what's called build the power within the

[14:27] incarnate spirit to be able to make that

[14:29] attunement uh with to make that

[14:31] connection uh to move ourselves into the

[14:33] altered state. So we're basically moving

[14:35] ourselves into for want of a better

[14:37] expression into that space between

[14:38] worlds where they can come meet us and

[14:42] we're meeting switch between worlds and

[14:44] so there's a practice on my website um

[14:46] in the community section called sitting

[14:49] in the power and what that is or called

[14:52] I think I changed it to a human practice

[14:54] and what that is it's helping you

[14:55] actually go through the mechanisms to

[14:57] actually change your energetic vibration

[14:59] to build the power to make that

[15:01] connection. It's very energizing

[15:02] practice. Something you are doing act.

[15:04] It's very active and energizing.

[15:06] Meditation is something that we do for

[15:09] ourselves to still the mind and to be

[15:11] very present. In meditation, we're not

[15:13] doing anything. Meditation is for

[15:15] ourselves. So both practices are really

[15:18] needed for to be a good medium because

[15:21] meditation really helps us get very very

[15:23] still, sort of get rid of attachments.

[15:26] It's also can be very healing. Let's get

[15:27] lets us go triggers and associations.

[15:30] But importantly what meditation does is

[15:32] it helps us to better understand

[15:35] our own mind and when our and know when

[15:38] our own mind is moving when our own mind

[15:41] is interfering when our own mind is

[15:43] wandering and so that's very it's very

[15:46] good for us just in terms of our own

[15:48] mental health but it's also um very

[15:51] important in mediumship because a few of

[15:53] the questions that came up how do I know

[15:54] if it's me or the spirit world if you're

[15:56] familiar with the way your mind works

[15:59] the more familiar we can become with the

[16:00] way our own mind works, the more we'll

[16:02] recognize if it has interfered and if

[16:05] something has come from the mind. And if

[16:07] we build a strong attunement practice.

[16:09] And so if we are able to move into the

[16:12] power and recognize the altered states,

[16:15] then when we are in the altered state,

[16:17] we when we can sense that we're in the

[16:19] altered state from doing these

[16:20] practices, when we move into our

[16:22] mediumship practice, when we're in the

[16:23] middle of a communication, we will feel

[16:26] an energetic difference if we've dropped

[16:28] out. So if we feel like we're not in the

[16:31] power or we're not attuned when we get a

[16:33] piece of information it will have come

[16:35] from your head from your imagination. If

[16:38] you are in the power it will have come

[16:39] from the spirit world. And so the

[16:41] attunement practice and the meditation

[16:43] practices combined are very good and

[16:46] very essential practices really I would

[16:48] say for all for starting out um on

[16:51] mediumship. And somebody else asked had

[16:53] been away from mediumship for a long

[16:55] time and was asking

[16:58] um what's the best way to kind of come

[17:00] back into the practice and I would say

[17:02] with attunement and attunement to

[17:05] meditation practices first working with

[17:07] your own attunement working with um your

[17:09] meditation practices another thing

[17:11] that's very helpful for that is healing

[17:14] and we do have guided healing practices

[17:16] um on in in the uh community on the

[17:20] website as well that's The community

[17:21] section of the website is free. So this

[17:23] is all resources you can use for free.

[17:26] The healing really helps to build that

[17:28] sort of sensitivity and stillness and

[17:30] power as well. So I always recommend

[17:32] healing. Some of the best mediums I know

[17:34] are also healers. Healing is marvelous

[17:36] way also also to support um your

[17:40] mediumship. So if you've been away and

[17:42] you're coming back in, I would say start

[17:44] there and then slowly and this relates

[17:46] to another question somebody asked was

[17:47] how do you know if you're ready to work

[17:48] professionally? And I would say start

[17:51] small, start doing maybe a little

[17:53] psychic fair or just doing a little

[17:55] salon or something with people. Um, you

[17:58] know, uh, and and and just do the

[18:00] practice. People often think, oh, I'm

[18:03] ready to work professionally when I can

[18:04] get loads of information. I can keep

[18:06] placing my contacts. And that's true.

[18:08] when you can get consistently get

[18:11] specific details, place your contact, be

[18:14] able to work with somebody, you can do

[18:15] that repeatedly and consistently, then

[18:17] you can start you can you start thinking

[18:19] about working professionally. But um

[18:22] what I would say is make sure you can

[18:25] work for at least an hour, whether

[18:27] that's four to six small short contacts

[18:30] or one or two long contacts, because

[18:32] you're going to need that kind of

[18:33] stamina. But the other thing that I

[18:35] would say um is that you need to make

[18:38] sure that you feel powerful and

[18:41] confident and stable in your own

[18:42] mediumship. Which leads into another

[18:45] question of somebody asking how can I

[18:47] build confidence in mediumship? The

[18:49] thing is that we often think that oh

[18:51] we're going to go out to do mediumship

[18:52] and we're going to sit in some front of

[18:54] somebody who's berieved and they're sad

[18:56] and upset and we're going to give them

[18:57] this beautiful message and it will be

[19:00] like a ray of hope in their life and

[19:02] we'll do this wonderful work for spirit,

[19:03] right? and we'll feel great about our

[19:05] mediumship. But that's not always the

[19:08] case, right? Because a lot of people who

[19:10] are bererieved are very angry and are

[19:14] looking for somebody to blame and

[19:16] looking for somebody to lash out on. I'm

[19:18] sure any of you have been deeply

[19:19] briefed. I've gone through those. It's a

[19:21] phase of grief. I've gone through that

[19:23] phase. And sometimes somebody will come

[19:24] to you and it doesn't and what they

[19:26] really need is therapy. What they really

[19:28] need is grief counseling. And you in

[19:30] your mediumship need to be able to be in

[19:33] a situation like that, be able to refer

[19:36] them to a counselor to step away from

[19:38] the sitting

[19:40] so that you're not affected by it

[19:42] because you then have to go work with

[19:44] another person after them. Right? So I

[19:48] would say make sure that you're

[19:49] confident enough within your mediumship

[19:51] on top of just your skill. Make sure

[19:53] you're confident enough within yourself

[19:55] as a medium that you can recover from a

[19:59] difficult client because believe me

[20:01] they're out there and where you don't

[20:04] feel in need. I actually was given on a

[20:06] p did a podcast the other day and this

[20:08] question came up. We were talking about

[20:09] this for a while. When you got the

[20:10] person that comes in with their arms

[20:12] crossed and prove it to me and then

[20:14] they're saying okay tell me what's in my

[20:16] pocket. Tell me if you can tell me if my

[20:18] wife can tell you what I have in my

[20:19] pocket then I'll believe she's here.

[20:21] That's a psychic trick. A psychic can

[20:23] tell you that. So, you've got to be able

[20:24] to handle those sort of situations

[20:26] without feeling backed into a corner,

[20:28] without feeling like you've got to prove

[20:30] yourself

[20:32] or without feeling without taking it

[20:34] personally and being upset and sort of

[20:35] knocked off your knocked on your bum

[20:38] because somebody has been very angry

[20:40] towards you. So, these are things people

[20:42] don't to talk about in circles and

[20:44] practice circles, but these are

[20:45] important things because you have to be

[20:46] able to you need to protect your own

[20:48] mediumship as well. All right. So, I

[20:50] would factor that in too.

[20:53] So a few of the questions were really

[20:55] just developmental questions. How can I

[20:57] develop uh my sensitivity to what I am

[21:00] receiving? How can I receive clearer

[21:03] evidence? The sorts of things. To be

[21:06] honest, that just takes practice and

[21:09] work and training and sitting and

[21:10] commitment, you know. Um there's lots of

[21:13] practices you can do to develop your

[21:14] sensitivity. The sitting and the power,

[21:16] the meditation practices. Um I've given

[21:19] uh on in the Instagram reels there are

[21:22] some actual little practices for

[21:24] developing your clairvoyance and

[21:26] developing your um clare sentience

[21:28] things like that cla audience there are

[21:30] little techniques and practices that are

[21:32] on the in the Instagram reels for that I

[21:34] won't go into there but here but

[21:36] basically that just takes development I

[21:39] think in this day and age sometimes

[21:41] we're told these things we see these

[21:42] things as one day we pop up and decide

[21:44] oh I think today I'll be a medium and

[21:46] now tomorrow I'm just ready to have my

[21:48] own TV show. That's not It takes years

[21:50] and years of work, years of work to

[21:52] develop the authentic sensitivity. One

[21:55] thing most of you have heard me say many

[21:57] times is it takes less energy to do

[21:59] psychic work than it does to do

[22:00] mediumship work. So the psychic works

[22:03] with the spirit incarnate, the person

[22:04] sitting in front of you, the medium is

[22:06] working with the spirit discarnate,

[22:08] right? Takes a lot more energy.

[22:11] A psychic can read your aura and pick up

[22:15] 20 spot-on facts about your loved one

[22:17] from reading your aura without ever

[22:19] being connected to the spirit world.

[22:22] Learning to tell the difference takes

[22:24] time and training

[22:26] to know that you're actually always

[22:28] working mediumistically or to know when

[22:30] you've picked something up psychically

[22:32] from the person in front of you. Then

[22:33] you can say, "Um, you know, I didn't get

[22:34] this from your dad. I got this from

[22:36] you." And I say this because I've heard

[22:38] horror stories of people say, "Oh, I've

[22:39] got your dad here." He says, "He doesn't

[22:41] really like your husband. He thinks he

[22:42] should you should leave him."

[22:45] And what they're actually getting is

[22:46] they're getting an upset in the client

[22:48] because he just had an argument with the

[22:49] husband and they're just picking up on

[22:50] the energy and then they give and if you

[22:52] give a message like that from the dad,

[22:54] the client is going to put an awful lot

[22:56] more weight on that than you just

[22:58] saying, "Oh, I think I'll pick this up

[22:59] from you." We have an ethical

[23:01] responsibility in mediumship as well.

[23:04] And so we we have to factor in the

[23:06] ethics. We have to factor in people's

[23:08] vulnerabilities. We have to factor in

[23:10] the psychology of the person sitting in

[23:12] front of us. So mediumship is not just

[23:13] about can I get the cause of debt, the

[23:16] shoe size, the number of the house, the

[23:18] color of the car,

[23:20] right? That's all very beginner's

[23:22] mediumship stuff. Just let's just get a

[23:24] bunch of facts, right? Getting those

[23:27] facts, you just have to keep doing it.

[23:29] Just keep practicing. Keep sitting in

[23:30] the power. Keep doing the little

[23:32] exercises I've talked about in the

[23:33] Instagram reels to develop clairvoyance,

[23:35] clients, clair audience. And you just do

[23:37] it over and over and over

[23:41] all the time and it will change. You may

[23:44] find that your clairvoyance is fantastic

[23:46] at the beginning. That's very common.

[23:47] And then one day it can just disappear

[23:48] and now you're forced to work with clair

[23:50] sentience and you feel like you're

[23:51] starting all over again because you had

[23:54] this marvelously developed clairvoyance

[23:56] and never really developed your clients

[23:58] and now all of a sudden you can't see a

[24:00] thing and you feel like you're starting

[24:02] over again with your clair sentience.

[24:04] God, I got to start all of this from the

[24:06] beginning. But that's how it goes. The

[24:08] spirit world will do that. And as soon

[24:10] as you get very sensitive and very clear

[24:11] sentient, they'll take that away. And

[24:13] now you're relying on your clair

[24:14] audience. And this will happen because

[24:16] you're not doing this alone. You're

[24:18] working with a team, right? You're

[24:19] always working with the team and they're

[24:21] helping you along as well. And so your

[24:23] mediumship will go through waves

[24:26] and different iterations. And that's

[24:28] just part of development. So developing

[24:31] your sensitivity in particular healing

[24:33] is a great way to develop sensitivity,

[24:34] clare sentience. And then there's lots

[24:36] and lots of practice for clair audience

[24:38] and clairvoyance uh that you can grab

[24:41] off the Instagram reels. I don't really

[24:43] have time to go into them now, but um

[24:46] here because you know obviously take too

[24:47] long, but we actually do them in the

[24:49] beginner's class. So all of this stuff,

[24:50] all of this stuff are really beginner's

[24:52] questions and they're all covered in the

[24:54] foundations in the intermediate class.

[24:56] So you can get more details on them in

[24:57] the classes as well if you want to

[24:59] really make that kind of commitment to

[25:00] your development. Somebody's asking me

[25:02] what do I do if I'm not naturally

[25:03] sensitive. Same thing you just develop

[25:05] sensitivity. I would also um be very

[25:08] careful of the words all of you tell

[25:10] each say to yourself. So there's a bunch

[25:12] of people here saying I'm not sensitive.

[25:14] I have all these blocks. If you tell

[25:16] yourself you've got blocks, you'll have

[25:17] blocks. If you tell yourself you're not

[25:19] sensitive, you'll be not sensitive.

[25:21] You've got to tell yourself you're

[25:22] developing. It's like nobody starts in a

[25:24] piano, goes in to learn the piano and is

[25:27] playing the fifth in the first week.

[25:29] You'd be lucky to be playing chopsticks

[25:31] by the end of the week. Same for

[25:32] mediumship. It's we peopleship is a

[25:35] natural ability. It is, but everything

[25:36] is a natural ability. Painters have a

[25:38] natural ability. Writers have a natural

[25:40] ability. Musicians have a natural

[25:42] ability. But they all also develop it.

[25:46] Same with mediumship. So we don't want

[25:47] to be thinking, oh, mediumship is the

[25:49] gift. Now what we do with the mediumship

[25:51] determines whether we're gifted. A

[25:53] gifted pianist. I couldn't even play.

[25:55] You could put me in a piano class for a

[25:56] month. I wouldn't even be able to play

[25:57] chopsticks at the end of it. But we all

[25:59] have some ability just some more than

[26:02] others. And some people are more

[26:03] committed to their development and their

[26:05] training. I grew up in house of

[26:07] Olympians.

[26:09] And I've just seen the amount of work it

[26:12] takes day in day out getting up at 5:00

[26:14] in the morning every single day. My

[26:17] brother was an Olympic swimmer. My

[26:18] father's an Olympic swimming coach. The

[26:20] commitment it takes to develop anything.

[26:23] So if we think that but there's this

[26:25] idea that mediumship is some kind of oh

[26:28] special gift. Now it's like anything.

[26:30] Everybody's gifted but we have a

[26:33] responsibility to make the commitment to

[26:34] training it. And so don't tell yourself

[26:37] things like you have blocks. Just remind

[26:39] yourself you're still developing. Now I

[26:41] don't have a block to this. You just I

[26:43] need to find a way to develop first. So

[26:45] if you say I've got block to my um to

[26:48] receiving clearer evidence clear there's

[26:50] no block to receiving clear evidence

[26:52] it's just training I just need to

[26:54] develop my clairees my clare sent you my

[26:56] clairvoyance my clair audience more to

[26:58] receive more detail you've got to always

[27:01] think in positive ways about this be

[27:03] careful with words you use to speak to

[27:05] yourself right so if you want to every

[27:07] more evidence the holy grail of

[27:09] mediumship it doesn't matter I've been

[27:11] doing this 15 years I know Colin Binga

[27:14] 40 Everybody is also looking for more

[27:17] detail. So that never goes away, right?

[27:20] But as we develop and as we go forward

[27:22] and as we do the practices

[27:25] and a lot of these practices to develop

[27:27] these senses you can do just in your

[27:29] normal waking world standing on the

[27:31] escalator. I've got one practice I

[27:32] always have people do. Sense who's

[27:34] behind you. In the New York anyone's in

[27:36] New York will appreciate this escal

[27:37] always on escalators, right? And so is

[27:40] stand on the do you get a sense of who's

[27:42] behind you? Look for colors, feel

[27:45] feelings, try to put colors on the

[27:46] feelings. So these are all lessons and

[27:48] practices that we do in the classes and

[27:50] that I have snippets of in the different

[27:52] reels that are out there. These little

[27:54] practices so you don't have to just wait

[27:57] for a Thursday night to go sit in your

[27:59] practice circle or your class for two

[28:01] hours. You can do these practices to

[28:03] develop your Claire's all day every day

[28:07] out in the real world even in New York

[28:09] City.

[28:10] So there are those practice. So I would

[28:12] say what you can do to practice your

[28:14] clear sensience. If we've got time at

[28:16] the end, we might do one or two

[28:17] practices is the practices you can do to

[28:20] develop your clear sensience. Clarevoice

[28:22] clair audience are practices you can do

[28:24] all day every day. Then you wake up in

[28:26] the morning having your coffee. You can

[28:27] do these practices because you can do

[28:29] those on your own time. What those are

[28:31] doing is developing your psychic

[28:33] sensibilities, your psychic skills, your

[28:35] psychic senses which we use in

[28:37] mediumship.

[28:39] But you don't have to be sitting day.

[28:40] You don't have to keep going. I've got

[28:41] to find somebody to sit for me or got to

[28:43] find a circle to do this work. You can

[28:44] do it. I used to do it on the esc that's

[28:46] why I said escalator. The six the lexton

[28:49] having an escalator in New York City

[28:51] must be about three stories tall. And I

[28:53] used to do this all the time. Who's

[28:54] behind me? Who's behind me? All the

[28:55] time. Used to do this. Standing on the

[28:57] traffic lights sensing into who's behind

[28:59] me. And you get really good at it. You

[29:00] get really good. Oh, I can feel there's

[29:02] two people standing beside me. You know,

[29:04] there's a baby standing. I had I was on

[29:06] the Lex on the Lex escalator one time. I

[29:08] was the only one. It was really late. I

[29:10] was the only one. The only on the

[29:11] escalator and I stood on the I was going

[29:13] down and I thought, "Oh, there's a young

[29:15] Asian guy behind me." Right. Turn

[29:17] around. There's nobody behind me. Go the

[29:19] whole way down, the whole way down the

[29:20] escalator. When I get off at the end, I

[29:22] turn around and I look up, it's a young

[29:24] Asian guy getting on at the top. So, the

[29:27] more you do this, you can see the

[29:28] farther the energy field spread to be

[29:31] able to get a sense of that guy that far

[29:33] away. So initially you do these

[29:34] practices you might get a sense of

[29:36] somebody standing who's only breathing

[29:37] down your neck right but over time

[29:40] you'll get much more sensitive to this.

[29:42] So there's lots of these similar

[29:43] exercises. So clar audience you can

[29:45] listen to a complex piece of music for

[29:47] example and just attune your ear to one

[29:51] instrument

[29:52] and that instrument will probably if

[29:54] it's if it's sort of a conerto or

[29:56] something that instrument will will um

[29:58] come in and out. If it's a symphony,

[29:59] that instrument will come in and out,

[30:00] but you just may hold your ear on that

[30:03] one instrument helps you to fine-tune

[30:05] your ear. There's lots and lots of these

[30:07] little practices that you can do um to

[30:10] develop these sensitive these

[30:11] sensitivities. So, we we cover all of

[30:13] these in obviously the beginners and

[30:15] intermediate mediumship because they are

[30:17] fundamental to mediumship. But please

[30:19] don't tell yourself things like you have

[30:21] blocks because you don't. You're just

[30:22] developing and everybody's like that.

[30:25] Everybody. Sometimes you'll work with

[30:27] evidence and you'll be getting you'll be

[30:28] getting the whole detail and the whole

[30:30] story of how somebody died. This happens

[30:31] to me and then you go through a phase

[30:32] where just couldn't tell you how anybody

[30:34] died. Not picking it up at all. This is

[30:37] the way mediumship works. It always

[30:39] works in waves. So don't expect it to be

[30:41] the same every single time either. And

[30:43] we wouldn't want it to be the same every

[30:45] single time because it would be so

[30:46] boring after a while. So I hope that's I

[30:49] kind of clustered loads of those

[30:50] questions into that one answer. Um

[30:55] so um then the somebody's asking me the

[30:58] fear of resistance to opening up to

[31:00] mediumship.

[31:01] There's nothing within mediumship itself

[31:03] to fear. Obviously we know that. But if

[31:04] you've got some fear obviously that

[31:06] would be something we would have to sit

[31:08] work through in a private session. So I

[31:10] wouldn't be able to really get into this

[31:11] that on this we would really need to sit

[31:14] and really begin to understand what are

[31:16] you afraid of. if you've got any sort of

[31:17] fears around that because you know um

[31:23] mediumship is really just stepping into

[31:25] an awareness not even moving anywhere.

[31:28] It's just stepping it's just turning our

[31:29] awareness to our part in the eternal

[31:32] stream of consciousness and being able

[31:34] to hear what not just in our head but in

[31:37] somebody else's head in that stream of

[31:39] consciousness. We're in that stream of

[31:40] consciousness all the time whether you

[31:42] know it or not. whether you think it or

[31:43] not or whether you think you're doing

[31:45] mediumship or not, you're always there.

[31:47] But if you've got some kind of fear

[31:49] there, then that's going to be too

[31:51] nuanced and too complex for this. So I

[31:53] would say really reflect on exactly what

[31:56] is the fear and then start finding ways

[31:59] to break that down. Start finding ways

[32:01] to identify what exactly is you fearful

[32:04] of. this why in the any of you who've

[32:05] done the eternal bonds course the whole

[32:07] section of it on myth and misconception

[32:10] I'm actually thinking I'm writing a book

[32:11] on myths and misconceptions um because

[32:14] we have this all this inherited

[32:16] superstition

[32:17] and so sometimes that can be lingering

[32:19] and then you need to get rid of that you

[32:22] need to challenge those beliefs you know

[32:25] um if you're afraid of these things so

[32:27] um fibling um has written a nice book

[32:31] called the spiritualists myths

[32:34] misconceptions which you can get from

[32:35] the bookstore the Arthur Finley College

[32:36] I think they'll mail it to you as well

[32:38] and she did a while ago I'm thinking of

[32:40] doing an updated version but um we

[32:42] really need to start challenging where

[32:44] some of these myths and misconceptions

[32:46] come from so for quickly example this

[32:49] I've heard this and this has done so

[32:51] much harm people telling a mother a

[32:55] medium told a mother that her son who

[32:58] had died by suicide could not go into

[33:01] the

[33:03] that he was earthbound because he had

[33:06] committed suicide. Right? Now, in what

[33:09] medieval world is that medium existing?

[33:13] The idea of being an earthbound spirit

[33:16] comes from Homer. So, it's a Greek

[33:18] classic fiction

[33:21] and it comes from um Patrick couldn't

[33:24] his whole thing was um Achilles had to

[33:26] bury him, give him the proper greet him,

[33:28] funeral rights for him to for his spirit

[33:30] to be able to rest. Now, 2,000 years

[33:32] later, we're still dragging that old

[33:34] chestnut with us, right? Came from

[33:36] fiction. A lot of these come from

[33:37] fiction. A lot of these beliefs come

[33:39] from the fact that the Protestants got

[33:41] rid of purgatory in the in in the 1500s.

[33:44] A lot of these beliefs come from Dante,

[33:45] which again is a fiction based on

[33:48] Christian philosophy. That's coming from

[33:50] the Middle Ages. So, the all of these

[33:53] myths and misconceptions, there is no

[33:54] veracity to any of them. And I can say

[33:56] that um what they are is uh

[33:59] misinterpretations, misunderstandings,

[34:01] things that have sort of entered into

[34:03] the cultural stream over the last 2,000

[34:05] years that people have don't even know

[34:07] where they came from. So if you have a

[34:10] belief like that, have a look and see

[34:12] where did it come from? Where did I is

[34:14] this an old Greek thing? Is this an old

[34:16] reformation thing? Because I guarantee

[34:17] you that's where you'll find the origins

[34:18] of it and then you can dismiss it. So if

[34:21] that's where your fears are, that's what

[34:22] I would encourage you to do there. And

[34:24] also check out Vikica's book if you

[34:26] want. I think you might be able to order

[34:28] it on um I think you can get on the

[34:30] snu.org.co

[34:32] snu.org.uk. I think you can buy it and

[34:34] you probably can get on Amazon as well.

[34:36] Vibling.

[34:38] What else? Good to connect you but not

[34:40] deciphering answers. So somebody's asked

[34:42] me about um they can get the they can

[34:45] get information but can't decipher what

[34:46] it means. If you were trying to decipher

[34:48] what it means, you are not in the flow.

[34:50] You are not in the power. You are in

[34:51] your head. Right?

[34:54] Because you will never need to sit there

[34:56] going, "Somebody showed me an orange in

[34:57] an image of an orange, for example. Now,

[34:59] what could that woman be on about with

[35:01] an orange? What could that orange mean?"

[35:02] The minute you start asking those

[35:03] questions, you're in your head. You're

[35:04] not in the power. You're not connected

[35:06] to that woman. And so, that's a matter

[35:08] of not deciphering answers, but actually

[35:11] surrendering to the flow so that Clare

[35:14] sentiently or Clare cognit with your

[35:16] Clare cognition, you just know what it

[35:19] means. Because mother shows you an

[35:21] orange, she's also telling you why.

[35:25] What you need to do is get out of the

[35:26] way. Get the chatter of your head out of

[35:28] the way.

[35:30] So you're not going, "Oh, what does that

[35:31] mean?" It's okay. All right. Let me just

[35:33] shut up. Get quiet. Share. Tell me what

[35:36] you want to what it is that you want to

[35:37] say about that. And then just let it let

[35:40] just step back into the floor and let it

[35:41] come to you. Again, this is just

[35:43] development. This is just about

[35:45] training. This is just about doing it

[35:46] over and over again. And it's a really

[35:48] good and it's a very important question,

[35:50] Grace, who asked it because an awful lot

[35:52] of people again um a lot there's a lot

[35:56] of mediums out there actually really

[35:58] haven't done any proper training or

[36:00] education. And I'm a huge most of you

[36:02] who study with me know I'm a huge

[36:03] advocate for actual education on all of

[36:06] this because what happens is is that you

[36:09] know um somebody sees somebody shows

[36:11] somebody something you know and um and

[36:15] then the medium I say medium loosely

[36:18] doesn't know what it means and does that

[36:20] goes into the head to start trying to

[36:21] interpret it and then will give the

[36:23] person a whole heap load of a story

[36:25] that's got nothing to do that they've

[36:26] just made up out of their own analysis

[36:29] and their head. That's not mediumship,

[36:31] right? Mediumship is staying within the

[36:33] flow. Somebody shows you an orange, wait

[36:35] for the rest of the story to flow in

[36:37] behind it. The minute you start getting

[36:39] into try to grab at snatch, what does

[36:41] that mean? You've stopped the flow. Does

[36:44] that make sense?

[36:46] Yeah. Few people looking bewildered.

[36:48] Yeah, a few people nodding. I'll go with

[36:50] the nods. All right. Beautiful.

[36:52] Somebody who a sitter. Oh, sorry. I'm

[36:55] not sure. Liz, is Liz here, don't you? I

[36:57] didn't see Liz coming in. sitters who

[36:59] claim the spirit of an unborn child or

[37:01] an unmet grandparent. I'm not really

[37:03] sure. It's only half question, Liz. So,

[37:06] somebody who claims that the spirit is

[37:08] an unborn child or an unmet grandparent

[37:11] or great-grandparent.

[37:15] You can I will say you can certainly

[37:17] have in a mediumship session, you can

[37:19] certainly have a grandparent you've

[37:20] never met or a great-grandparent you've

[37:22] never met come through. I've had my

[37:23] great-grandmother when who died 10 years

[37:26] before I was born has often come in the

[37:28] early days of my development. She came

[37:29] quite a lot. But they have to be able to

[37:33] share information and they're

[37:34] intelligent enough to know this. So they

[37:37] will choose details that you can verify.

[37:40] Even if it's just an old photograph you

[37:42] saw or if it's something about where

[37:44] they grew up, there will have to be

[37:45] details within their communication that

[37:47] can prove to you who they are. And so

[37:50] you can't got your grand here. You never

[37:52] met her. Oh, okay. Let me tell you, she

[37:53] had this blue hair and she you didn't

[37:55] know that all she did and she smoked the

[37:56] car. You didn't know that? She did.

[37:58] That's nonsense. But if she comes to

[38:00] you, she goes, "I've got your

[38:00] grandmother. I name her Mary and um

[38:03] she's got she's got three dogs." Yes. I

[38:05] saw a photograph of my great-grandmother

[38:06] with three dogs. Do you know what I

[38:08] mean? So, there's going to be stuff in

[38:10] there that you can verify. If you can't

[38:11] verify any of it, then there's no point.

[38:13] And the spirit world is intelligent, so

[38:15] they're not going to come if there's

[38:17] absolutely nothing they can share to

[38:19] show who they are. So, that can happen.

[38:21] an unborn child. Um, depends if you mean

[38:25] uh a communication from an unborn child

[38:26] who's still in utero um that would

[38:30] technically be psychic information. I've

[38:32] often had messages from um friends I say

[38:37] friends um who were beyond five months.

[38:41] A couple of times I've had that very

[38:42] clear and it feels very different. It

[38:43] looks very different from psychic

[38:44] information but details that came from.

[38:47] So, a friend of mine uh was I think six

[38:49] months pregnant at the time. When I woke

[38:51] up one morning, I saw an image of her in

[38:52] a wedding dress in the Botanical Gardens

[38:54] in Brooklyn, right? And I called her. I

[38:56] said, "Are you getting married to

[38:57] because she had a boyfriend?" She said,

[38:58] "No." And I said, "This bizarest thing."

[39:00] And it was the image looked very

[39:02] different the way it came. It just had a

[39:04] different feeling to it than normal

[39:06] psychic uh imagery that I get. And I

[39:09] said, "It's funny because I just saw an

[39:10] image of you in um in a wedding dress in

[39:13] the botanical garden." which is I'm on

[39:14] my way to a wedding in the botanical

[39:16] gardens. And so I've noticed that sort

[39:19] of thing happening, but it's always

[39:21] somebody who's further along. I've never

[39:23] had that with somebody who's a couple

[39:25] months pregnant. It's always been 5

[39:26] months or longer. But that would

[39:28] technically be information from the

[39:30] unborn child, which is technically

[39:31] psychic information because the unborn

[39:33] child is in the um physical space. If

[39:37] they made an unborn child who was never

[39:39] born, that's complete speculation.

[39:43] How can we how can we know that? You

[39:46] know, um I've had if it was a child that

[39:50] was still born or carried to full term

[39:54] or died very early, we can have

[39:55] communications from them, right? But

[39:58] there's there would have to again be

[40:00] specific details about the nature of

[40:02] that child. So I have a my sister was

[40:04] still born but she's actually I've had

[40:06] her come visit and she got caught in the

[40:09] umbilical cord in birth and um very

[40:12] early on in my development when I

[40:14] started working with this first a medium

[40:16] I know a friend of mine said she was

[40:18] giving me this I have this little child

[40:20] here this little child for ages could

[40:22] not figure out who this was she had and

[40:24] then eventually she said she's got all

[40:25] these daisies

[40:27] and I used to make daisy chains when I

[40:29] was a kid in the garden I said no I used

[40:30] to do that and then she said and

[40:32] somebody She drew her once for me and

[40:33] she drew she looked like me and said,

[40:35] "Yeah, she looks like you." I actually

[40:36] have a little sketcher up there over the

[40:37] books and she looks just like me. Said

[40:40] she's got blue eyes and but this friend

[40:42] of mine said, "Yeah, no, she's got" and

[40:44] I could didn't know who she was talking

[40:45] about. Couldn't understand her. It was

[40:46] the first time I heard from her. And

[40:47] then she said, "She says she got caught

[40:49] in the cord."

[40:51] And I went, "Oh, holy God, that's my

[40:53] sister."

[40:54] So I feel that it seems and I want to be

[40:58] very delicate about this but it does

[41:00] seem that when a baby is almost full

[41:02] term we can get communications from

[41:04] them. I think somebody just popped

[41:06] something about miscarriage in the chat.

[41:10] I would have to say

[41:13] I would have to say I can't really speak

[41:15] to um miscarriages to be honest. It's uh

[41:20] very sensitive and I don't want to make

[41:22] any blanket statements about

[41:23] miscarriages. It it would really depend

[41:26] if the if a child comes and can give

[41:30] specific information that can be

[41:32] verified like that got caught in the

[41:33] cord like specific things then you could

[41:35] say it but an awful lot of women have

[41:38] miscarriages you know and it's very sort

[41:40] of easy for a medium to say oh you have

[41:42] a you've had a miscarriage I have a baby

[41:44] here it must be a miscarriage it may or

[41:46] may not be but how many women do you

[41:48] know who have had miscarriages to me

[41:50] it's a very safe bet

[41:53] to do a cold reading

[41:55] So, if you're going to say it, um,

[41:58] I'd be very, very, very, very careful

[42:00] about that. I'm very careful about a

[42:02] medium who says that to you if they

[42:03] can't give you any sort of specifics

[42:05] around it. Like I said, I've never had

[42:07] communication from an invitro child

[42:10] under 5 months. That's not to say the

[42:12] consciousness is not present, but never

[42:15] I've never myself um received verifiable

[42:19] information under that, I would say. And

[42:22] I say that having had a miscarriage

[42:24] myself. So I would love to do the girl.

[42:26] He's got blonde hair and he's this and

[42:28] he's an artist and whatever. It's all

[42:29] fantasy. So I would say just I would

[42:31] have to take that on a case by case

[42:32] basis to be honest. So I wouldn't like

[42:34] to make it's very sensitive. It's very

[42:36] easily abused and so I really wouldn't

[42:38] like to make blanket statements about

[42:39] the miscarriage situation. All right. Or

[42:42] abortions either for that matter. Let me

[42:45] see what else have I got. What's the

[42:47] most dependable way to tap into the

[42:48] spirit for a mediumship session? And so

[42:51] presumably you mean if you are the

[42:52] medium, how can you? That really

[42:54] depends. That's different for everybody.

[42:56] Everybody works differently. So you'll

[42:57] need to develop your own process. Again,

[42:59] when I'm teaching beginners mediumship,

[43:01] we do work through different options,

[43:03] different ways for people to explore and

[43:05] experiment with that. Some people listen

[43:08] to music, get right there into it. Some

[43:10] people listen to chanting, some people

[43:11] just sit in the power. Very different

[43:13] for everybody. So we I do generally when

[43:15] we're doing beginner's development

[43:17] experiment with lots of different ways

[43:18] to do that to help everybody find a way

[43:21] that sort of reliably works for them.

[43:23] And like I said, it'll work for a while

[43:24] and then it'll change and it'll become

[43:26] something else. That's the nature of it.

[43:27] What we don't want to do in mediumship

[43:29] is start clinging to the way things used

[43:31] to be. It's never a good idea.

[43:34] And practicing mediumship in a group, is

[43:35] it possible to pick up information from

[43:37] others? Yes, of course. We're always

[43:39] picking up information from others. And

[43:40] this is again where the training is

[43:42] important to identify the difference

[43:44] between what you're picking up from the

[43:45] spirit world and what you're picking up

[43:47] from the incarnate spirit within the in

[43:49] the human form because we're always we

[43:51] realize it or not. We're we're always

[43:54] somebody gets on the subway looks at you

[43:56] funny and you picked something vibrant

[43:57] like in a split second you just got a

[43:59] psychic impression from that person.

[44:00] We're always doing that. We're always

[44:02] communicating like that. So when we do

[44:05] more training, we start to learn to

[44:07] really feel and sense and know the

[44:10] nuances in the difference between uh dis

[44:14] information coming from a discarnate

[44:16] spirit to an incarnate spirit or like I

[44:18] said even from an inutero spirit is

[44:20] different from an incarnate spirit and a

[44:22] discarnate spirit. But the more we work

[44:24] with it and the more development and the

[44:25] more practice we do the better we get.

[44:28] Again it just comes down to practice

[44:30] practice. I would love to have a magic

[44:32] wand to wave fairy dust all over you and

[44:36] send you all out into the world, but

[44:38] unfortunately have to do the work. So,

[44:41] okay. Tricky, but Linda, I think Linda's

[44:43] here. I think I saw Linda here. Um, when

[44:45] receiving messages, how can you tell if

[44:47] they're showing you the age they were

[44:48] when they died or an earlier time period

[44:50] that again practice you just get more

[44:52] experience with that? You will get a

[44:54] sense of um of working with your clare

[44:57] audience and clare sentience together

[44:59] where you can see some this happens a

[45:01] lot with people who were fabulous when

[45:03] they were younger and really decrepit

[45:05] when they were older and they just don't

[45:06] want to be remembered as decrepit. So

[45:09] come back when they're fabulous. But

[45:10] you'll also get a clear sentient. They

[45:13] will share with you a clar sentient

[45:15] impression with that. hats so that you

[45:17] just kind of or a clear cog or clear

[45:19] cognition where you just kind of know

[45:21] that's them when they were fabulous but

[45:23] they were they weren't they're f they

[45:24] were fabulous because they must have

[45:25] been decrepit on the I always know if I

[45:27] see somebody looking fabulous and I get

[45:28] a sense that they weren't that age I

[45:31] know that they were really withered in

[45:33] their old age because they don't want to

[45:35] be remembered like that sometimes you'll

[45:37] see an old fashioned hairstyle

[45:38] oldfashioned dress that's a dead

[45:40] giveaway if they show you that again it

[45:42] comes with the experience of working

[45:44] with combination of your clairvoyant

[45:46] Clare cognition and clare sentience just

[45:48] comes with practice over time and just

[45:50] getting feedback from your sitter

[45:52] because you learn from it. You learn,

[45:53] oh, I remember this happened before and

[45:55] this is what that was. You know, this

[45:57] sort of thing. So, again, just practice.

[45:59] No easy way around it. I think that's

[46:01] mostly it for the mediumship development

[46:04] questions. I have a bunch of questions

[46:06] about um

[46:09] uh love your own loved ones. And I'll

[46:13] just start at the top. So, Colleen uh

[46:15] had a few contacts with somebody who

[46:16] recently passed over in the immediate uh

[46:19] period of time after them passing over

[46:21] and wants to communicate more. That's

[46:23] just really a matter. This is what the

[46:24] eternal bonds course was designed for.

[46:26] And like I said, if you go to the

[46:27] YouTube playlist that's I have or the

[46:29] Instagram reels, I do talk about this

[46:31] quite a lot in those little reels. I

[46:33] think we post about four or five of

[46:34] those reels a week. There's nearly one

[46:36] every day. So, there's quite a lot of

[46:37] questions answered there.

[46:40] To communicate more, you need to develop

[46:42] your own sensitivity. In order to learn

[46:43] to work with signs, you need to learn

[46:45] the nuances of how your you and your

[46:49] loved one communicate. Because how I the

[46:52] language my loved one and I have between

[46:54] us is going to be different from the

[46:55] language you have and your loved one

[46:57] have. The same way is when you're here

[46:59] in your on your feet. Different loved

[47:01] ones, different relationships

[47:03] communicate in their own nuanced

[47:05] different ways. And that continues. And

[47:08] so you will really learn how to work

[47:10] with science, learn how to develop your

[47:12] own sensitivity, learn how to recognize

[47:15] the language of the spirit. It's a

[47:16] language you learn like anything else.

[47:19] And again, it's it I mean, I have entire

[47:21] an entire course designed around this,

[47:23] so obviously I can't get into all of it

[47:24] in our little Q&A here. you might want

[47:26] to check out the eternal bonds course or

[47:28] go check out the reals or the Q&A the

[47:30] playlist on YouTube um for different

[47:33] techniques for how to understand because

[47:36] a lot of the time the loved one is

[47:38] present the loved one is trying to

[47:40] communicate with us and we're not

[47:41] realizing what they're doing but they're

[47:43] always there's loads of times a really

[47:45] common one for instance is we're just

[47:47] sort of on about our business and sort

[47:50] of thinking about got to pay the

[47:52] electricity bill or whatever and then

[47:53] all of a sudden out of the blue thought

[47:54] of our loved one or some memory Mor out

[47:56] of the blue pops into our heads almost

[47:58] interrupts our thoughts and we go, "Oh,

[48:00] that wasn't that a nice memory." And we

[48:02] think we've just remembered them. That's

[48:04] a classic example of them remembering

[48:07] you, their thought touching your mind.

[48:09] If you find your thoughts, for example,

[48:11] are interrupted. It's always them.

[48:14] Synchronicities,

[48:15] signs, learning how to work with signs.

[48:17] And when I say signs, I don't mean

[48:19] there's a robin on my windowsill sign.

[48:21] signs that are specific and say so like

[48:25] I a sign from my father will be very

[48:27] different from a sign from my partner

[48:29] and I can rec because I can see them in

[48:31] them and so we learn these things it's

[48:33] just a process it's just like learning a

[48:35] new it's just like learning a language

[48:36] over you've had a language where you've

[48:39] intimately understood each other in your

[48:41] lives that intimacy is going to continue

[48:43] into the spirit world and you work with

[48:45] all of those nuances so that you end up

[48:47] with a very special shared communication

[48:50] between you and your loved one that is

[48:53] different from the shared communication

[48:55] anybody else has. And for instance, my

[48:57] mother and I communicate very

[48:58] differently to the way my partner and I

[49:00] communicate obviously because that's the

[49:01] way it was in life. It's the way it

[49:02] still is in the afterlife, right? So um

[49:06] so just I would say communicating more

[49:08] is just learning

[49:10] what communi spirit communication looks

[49:12] like, feels like, and what it is for

[49:14] your specific loved one. So, you could

[49:16] check out the eternal bonds course or

[49:18] just check if you don't want to do a

[49:19] whole course, check out the um Q&A on

[49:22] the um I think I might even have a whole

[49:25] workshop on that on the YouTube channel.

[49:26] I can't remember, but there's loads of

[49:28] stuff out there on that as well if you

[49:29] want to have a noodle around as well and

[49:31] see if you pick anything up from that.

[49:34] Joanne, how can I connect more to my

[49:36] mother on a daily basis? I would say,

[49:39] you know, it gets to a point where um it

[49:42] becomes a bit unrealistic to be

[49:44] expecting sort of a burning bush on a

[49:46] daily basis. We get to a point where we

[49:48] just learn to recognize that our loved

[49:51] one is present. When they were running

[49:53] around on their two feet, they weren't

[49:55] sort of attached to us by a string

[49:58] following us around all day, every day,

[50:00] everywhere we went. And it's not going

[50:01] to be like that in the spirit world. But

[50:04] if you turn your mind and you say, "Mom,

[50:06] are you there?" She will be there. She

[50:08] will answer. My mother, it's probably

[50:10] just because it's my mother interrupts

[50:12] my thoughts all the time. I just think

[50:13] you my mother chimes in like Jesus,

[50:15] where are you coming from? Do you know?

[50:17] So, you'd be surprised how often there

[50:20] are always somebody listening to your

[50:22] thoughts. So, if you want to communicate

[50:24] with your mother on a daily basis, the

[50:26] easiest thing to do without exhausting

[50:28] yourself or exhausting her um or

[50:30] becoming obsessive is just talk to her.

[50:32] Just talk to her. She can hear your

[50:34] thoughts. Just be open. If you have a

[50:36] sudden memory of her, if anything comes

[50:38] up, a synchronicity is your mother um

[50:40] speaking back and answering you as well.

[50:42] If you want to ask her a question, ask

[50:43] her a question. She will find a way to

[50:45] point you to the answer, right? Easy

[50:48] stuff you can do on a daily basis. What

[50:51] we don't want to do is expect the lights

[50:52] to be turning on or the furniture to be

[50:54] moving every day, right? That gets a bit

[50:55] unrealistic. That happens at the

[50:57] beginning. Just, oh, I'm here. Oh, wow.

[50:59] She's still here. But once that's done,

[51:01] I can have a little rest. Can you

[51:02] imagine how exhausting that must be?

[51:05] then it becomes more subtle, more fluid,

[51:07] and more intimate. All right.

[51:10] Um,

[51:13] tips when you Oh, this is when this was

[51:14] a mediumship question. Tips when you

[51:16] feel like you've hitting hit a wall when

[51:17] you're sitting in the power. Again,

[51:19] please don't say you things like I've

[51:21] hit a wall. You just are where you are

[51:23] at this point in as you sit in the power

[51:26] and you just sit with it. You just sit

[51:28] with it. You let it be and it'll become

[51:30] something else as you go. I said that

[51:32] makes sense. Oh, sorry. I didn't ask

[51:34] that. So somebody asked me for a tip

[51:36] when you feel like you have hit a wall

[51:38] when sitting in the power and again I

[51:40] would say be mindful of that. If you

[51:42] tell yourself you've hit a wall you'll

[51:43] hit you'll create a wall to hit. The

[51:45] mind is very malleable. So no you just

[51:48] sit in the power and it'll like I said

[51:50] things go in waves and dips and you just

[51:53] stay with it. Just stay with it. If you

[51:56] wanted you could try different you could

[51:58] try open awareness practice. You could

[52:00] try meditation practice also perhaps.

[52:02] You could switch it up a bit. But please

[52:04] don't use don't be telling yourself you

[52:06] got blocks or walls or anything else

[52:08] because if you tell yourself that you'll

[52:10] make that happen for yourself. So again

[52:12] there's another question similar to one

[52:14] I've already answered which is

[52:17] why do I have great communication with

[52:18] my husband in spirit and gaps of time go

[52:20] by with no communication. That's it

[52:23] always happens and it's not that there's

[52:24] no communication. It's just that

[52:26] sometimes communication is more obvious

[52:28] than others. But the thing is that if

[52:30] you turn your thought, if you ask a

[52:32] question, they will always hear. Just

[52:35] because they're not yacking in your ear

[52:37] constantly, it doesn't mean they're not

[52:38] there. They're always there. We've got

[52:40] to start. I think there's a the sort of

[52:42] misconception that there's some kind of

[52:44] geography involved and that we're here

[52:46] and they're somewhere else and now

[52:47] they've got on the bus or a train,

[52:48] they've gone to some other state or

[52:50] something and now I can't hear from them

[52:51] anymore. There is no geography. There is

[52:53] no geography,

[52:55] right? There is just the stream of

[52:58] consciousness

[52:59] and we know from consciousness theory

[53:01] the latest theories in consciousness

[53:03] theory is that we are a

[53:05] multi-dimensional beings. So we are

[53:07] still we are always in that stream of

[53:09] consciousness because that's all there

[53:10] is. That's what the one is. That's what

[53:12] God is. It is the unity of all things

[53:15] that we are still in. We have an

[53:17] illusion now because we're in a physical

[53:19] reality that we're separate from it but

[53:21] we are not. This is why psychism works.

[53:24] This is why healing works. This is why

[53:25] mediumship works is because we are still

[53:28] in the stream. We are always in the

[53:31] stream. We are never separated from it.

[53:33] And so then the sort of latest theories

[53:35] in consciousness theory is that the

[53:37] brain that consciousness is not within

[53:39] the brain. The consciousness is flowing

[53:42] everywhere all pervasive. The brain is

[53:44] an antenna that's tuning in a little

[53:47] radio, one little frequency and that's

[53:49] us yapping.

[53:52] And when the brain dies, like the radio,

[53:56] if the radio dies, does the transmission

[53:59] stop? Of course not,

[54:02] right?

[54:04] There's just no radio to tune it in. And

[54:06] so it's still existing in the wave. So

[54:07] we have to get we have to really start

[54:10] having start thinking more in 21st

[54:12] century terms about the nature of

[54:15] consciousness and our part in it. And so

[54:17] it's not like my husband, it's not like

[54:19] there's no gaps in communication. It's

[54:21] just that we're all in the stream and

[54:22] maybe you're over here doing this and

[54:24] he's over there doing that and then

[54:25] you'll shout into Come on. Have you ever

[54:27] been in the kitchen washing dishes and

[54:28] your husband's out in the gardening and

[54:30] you shout out, "Hey, what do you want

[54:31] for dinner?" or something.

[54:34] Do you know what I mean? It's like that

[54:35] easy. It's like just because he was in

[54:37] the garden didn't mean your

[54:38] communication stopped.

[54:41] It just meant you were doing something

[54:42] and then you shouted out and then

[54:43] they're there. So, they're always there.

[54:45] Does that make sense? I think we really

[54:47] need to start normalizing this. We have

[54:48] these very we've inherited an awful lot

[54:51] of very old medieval beliefs around

[54:53] this. But we really I think need to

[54:55] really think about this more as 21st

[54:57] century sort of idea of an allervasive

[55:00] eternal stream of consciousness of which

[55:02] we are all in all the time and then we

[55:05] in our body for a little while tuning in

[55:07] our little droplet of consciousness get

[55:09] out of our body we're just free flowing

[55:11] with our little droplet of

[55:12] consciousness. The real question for me

[55:14] is how I'm really curious about how does

[55:17] the actual stream work? Forget the rest

[55:18] of it. How does the stream work? To me,

[55:21] that's the most fascinating question. A

[55:23] few people ask me about aashic records.

[55:25] I don't do aashic records. I don't do

[55:27] past lives, any of that sort of stuff.

[55:28] Um, I'm a Buddhist. People always are

[55:30] surprised when I say that, but I come

[55:32] from a Zen tradition. Eastern Zen, Zen

[55:35] Buddhism is very different from American

[55:36] Buddhism or Western Buddhism. But I have

[55:39] a friend who is very well-versed. She's

[55:42] a level three QHHT Dolores Cannon

[55:44] practitioner. She does a lot of aashic

[55:46] record work. I'll send you her email or

[55:47] her website you can check out. And then

[55:49] of course Kevin Teshi who we had with us

[55:51] last month um does talks a lot about

[55:54] Casey and the Cashachic records. So I'll

[55:55] send you a link to his website as well

[55:57] for those interested in past lives and

[55:59] aashic records. All right. So somebody

[56:02] else Sandra why is it so difficult to

[56:03] make a contact again? It's not. If you

[56:05] tell yourself it's difficult it will be

[56:06] again it says third time. Third time

[56:08] lucky. Be careful what you tell

[56:09] yourself. It's not difficult to make a

[56:11] contact. You just know need to know

[56:13] where the information is floating

[56:14] around. If you're expecting it to come

[56:16] in neon lights, you'll be looking in the

[56:17] wrong place, right? It's just a matter

[56:19] of again um you know very very basic

[56:22] developmental mediumship. It's not

[56:24] difficult to make a anybody can make a

[56:26] contact. Just sort of need to know what

[56:28] a contact look looks like, what it feels

[56:31] like, how to surrender to it. Big thing

[56:34] that we are really bad at is surrender.

[56:38] all of us, we just the nature of our

[56:40] culture. Surrender. Let somebody else

[56:42] bring it to you. Again, it's um you

[56:45] know, it's sort of like that's the sort

[56:47] of first lesson in mediumship

[56:48] development. But again, if you're

[56:50] interested um pop along to one of the uh

[56:52] development courses, it'll bring you

[56:54] through all of that and or at least go

[56:57] and listen to some of the free stuff

[56:58] that's out there. There's also on my

[57:00] website a whole bunch of free lectures

[57:01] and workshops and stuff as well in the

[57:03] community area which is free. Why do

[57:05] some people not sense anything? Again,

[57:07] I've tal I think I've talked about that

[57:08] already. Developing your own

[57:10] sensitivity. Everybody senses anything.

[57:12] If you can sense something in physical

[57:14] life, if you can feel angry or sad or

[57:16] happy or anything else, if you feel that

[57:19] in yourself in the physical world, you

[57:21] can most definitely also feel that when

[57:24] uh working with the spirit world. Again,

[57:27] don't tell yourself you can't feel

[57:28] anything. Just be again, just be

[57:31] careful. You tell yourself you can't do

[57:32] these things or things are in the way.

[57:33] You will make that happen for yourself,

[57:35] right? spin the positive on that. I'm

[57:38] not sensing this. Okay. So, how can I go

[57:40] about sensing this? Now, what do I need

[57:42] to do to go about sensing this? Rather

[57:43] than telling yourself you can't sense

[57:45] something, you see just twist just turn

[57:46] it into a positive. So, let me see if I

[57:49] different um somebody asked me the

[57:51] difference between imagination and

[57:52] actual events. Imagination. Actual

[57:54] events. I don't know. That's a question

[57:56] for the philosophers. Do act are actual

[57:58] events real either. And you could ask a

[58:00] whole bunch of philosophers. I'll tell

[58:01] you none of it's real. Can daily

[58:03] connection with spirit guides be

[58:04] maintained? And I ask them, I find it

[58:06] difficult to do this. Well, you don't

[58:07] maintain connection with your spirit

[58:09] guides on a daily basis. They are just

[58:11] present on a daily basis. So, you don't

[58:13] go around trying to drag them around

[58:14] with you holding a seat in the bus for

[58:16] them. They're just there. They're always

[58:18] just there. So, you don't actually

[58:20] actively have to maintain a connection

[58:22] with your spirit guides. If you are

[58:23] working on something or you want their

[58:26] help uh in something you're working on,

[58:28] you can sit in your meditation practice.

[58:30] You can talk to them, whatever. Just

[58:31] that quietly talk to them. tell them, I

[58:34] really want to develop more cognition. I

[58:36] really want to be able to understand

[58:38] more information. Whatever it is you

[58:39] want to develop more of, you just sit

[58:41] and you just talk to them. Then you just

[58:42] hand it over. Let them find the way. We

[58:46] don't go around. We don't need um spirit

[58:49] guides sending us butterflies and robins

[58:50] and rainbows and all that. It just just

[58:52] doesn't work like that, right? So again,

[58:55] let's get into a more sophisticated

[58:56] understanding, a more 21st century

[58:58] understanding of the flow of the um

[59:02] stream of consciousness and how we all

[59:05] live, exist, and work within it. So I

[59:07] hope that helps. It's not I hope that's

[59:08] not too riddled me this. Right. So

[59:12] somebody asked me if they took my shift

[59:13] class. Can you take an advanced

[59:14] mediumship class? I think Grace, you're

[59:16] asking me that. No, the shift class

[59:17] wouldn't qualify you for an advanced

[59:18] mediumship class because we didn't do

[59:20] foundational mediumship work in that.

[59:22] That was about mysticism. But you could

[59:24] do the mediumship foundations master

[59:26] class if you do that practice into the

[59:28] log books. The reason I say that is

[59:30] because in the advanced class I need

[59:31] people who have reached a certain level

[59:33] so that we can advance the mediumship.

[59:35] If I have beginners in an advanced

[59:36] class, I end up having to spend half the

[59:39] time teaching beginners at the expense

[59:41] of being able to advance the into new

[59:43] more experimental forms of mediumship.

[59:45] That's why I've split this up now to

[59:47] beginners. Do all your foundational

[59:49] work. When you've got all of that done

[59:51] and you can come to your practice

[59:52] circles, then we'll go into much more

[59:54] exp. So like we're working with

[59:56] storytelling and zen next course up

[59:58] course after that we're working with zen

[1:00:00] and embodiment. We're working so we're

[1:00:02] working with very advanced ways of

[1:00:04] working within mediumship. So you need

[1:00:06] to be able to receive evidence of

[1:00:08] developed your clar. You need to be able

[1:00:10] to place contacts. You need to be able

[1:00:11] to do that reliably before you can move

[1:00:13] into an advanced class. So if you do the

[1:00:17] if you do either my foundational and my

[1:00:19] two uh beginners beginners and

[1:00:21] intermediate courses or you have done

[1:00:24] foundational work with somebody else who

[1:00:26] I know or whose work at least I know you

[1:00:29] can get an exemption to come to an

[1:00:31] advanced class but but definitely

[1:00:34] um when I say somebody I know it would

[1:00:37] have to be somebody within my own style

[1:00:38] own lineage. So probably somebody who

[1:00:40] has also trained at the Arthur Finley

[1:00:42] College like AS or Colin Bates or

[1:00:44] somebody like that just because there's

[1:00:47] people there's all sorts of anything

[1:00:49] there's all sorts of stuff going on out

[1:00:50] there and I just really I'm really

[1:00:52] trying to do something this year with

[1:00:54] mediumship to really advance it for the

[1:00:56] 21st century. This is why I've kind of

[1:00:59] separated the classes out like that.

[1:01:02] So Victoria is ethical to give a message

[1:01:03] to somebody about a loved one if they

[1:01:05] did not ask you for it but they just

[1:01:06] gave you the message. I would say no.

[1:01:11] It's like if you're an acupuncturist,

[1:01:12] you don't start putting needles in

[1:01:14] people in the vegetable aisle of the

[1:01:15] supermarket because you think they've

[1:01:16] got a pain in their back. Do you know

[1:01:17] what I mean? You don't know how

[1:01:19] somebody's going to receive that

[1:01:20] message. You don't know if they believe

[1:01:23] or they don't believe. If they do

[1:01:24] believe, you don't know how much they

[1:01:26] could be one of the Homer types who

[1:01:28] think, "Oh my god, if a medium is

[1:01:29] getting a message, my loved ones must be

[1:01:31] trapped and unable to go into the

[1:01:32] light." you have no idea what their

[1:01:35] beliefs are to step into that. Now, if

[1:01:38] it's somebody you know quite well, you

[1:01:42] could sort of feel them out in the

[1:01:44] conversation over a period of time.

[1:01:47] There's actually a scene about this in

[1:01:48] my book in Till Deaths Don't His Part

[1:01:51] where I was sitting under a tree at my

[1:01:52] friend Justin when his friend's mother

[1:01:55] popped along. But it must have been an

[1:01:57] hour of just chitchat chitchat and then

[1:01:59] slowly broaching would you believe and

[1:02:00] what would you think if this happened

[1:02:02] and blah blah blah before I felt it was

[1:02:04] safe to actually tell him the woman was

[1:02:06] beside me. You know what I mean? But you

[1:02:09] would not just blurt that out to anybody

[1:02:11] ever, right? I don't it doesn't I don't

[1:02:14] care if the loved one in the spirit

[1:02:16] world is there. You can't just go up to

[1:02:18] the because what if you trigger

[1:02:20] something?

[1:02:22] You're not qualified to deal with that,

[1:02:24] right? So you wouldn't go and start

[1:02:26] giving therapy to somebody in the

[1:02:27] street. So we wouldn't want we don't

[1:02:28] want to be doing this. I absorbed too

[1:02:30] much. How can I protect myself? So you

[1:02:32] don't need to protect yourself. Protect

[1:02:34] is one of those really old words where

[1:02:36] we start thinking, oh, there's some

[1:02:37] negative thing out there. I need to

[1:02:38] protect myself. Everybody who does

[1:02:40] mediumship is sensitive. Every everybody

[1:02:42] who works with mediumship uh healing

[1:02:44] picks stuff up. Picks up everybody

[1:02:46] else's energy. It just goes with the

[1:02:47] territory. What you need to do is learn

[1:02:49] self-care practices. So you need to know

[1:02:52] when to retreat. You need to also the

[1:02:54] more healing you can do for yourself the

[1:02:56] less you will take other people's

[1:02:58] behaviors. This is one thing that

[1:02:59] happens when you increase our

[1:03:01] sensitivity is like somebody looks

[1:03:03] sideways at us and we think oh god I've

[1:03:04] done something terribly wrong with me.

[1:03:05] You know where you can take these things

[1:03:07] very personally. The more healing you do

[1:03:09] for yourself the less affected you are

[1:03:11] by other people's opinions, thoughts or

[1:03:13] what they're projecting onto you. It's

[1:03:14] their stuff not your own stuff. that

[1:03:16] comes this is why I say all mediums

[1:03:18] should do a substantial amount of their

[1:03:21] own healing before sitting in front of a

[1:03:23] vulnerable person you know um a lot of

[1:03:27] that is just I can't handle crowds I am

[1:03:30] the worst person in a part people don't

[1:03:32] even invite me to parties anymore

[1:03:33] because I won't go because I take me two

[1:03:36] three days I've just been flat out to I

[1:03:37] had to take two cats to the vet

[1:03:39] yesterday and it took me all day

[1:03:40] yesterday to recover it's like it takes

[1:03:42] time you just need to learn self-care

[1:03:45] there. You need to recognize that you go

[1:03:48] into a very busy space with a lot of

[1:03:50] people. It's going to wear you out and

[1:03:52] you're going to need to make sure the

[1:03:53] next day you have time to yourself for a

[1:03:56] bath or shower or a lie in or whatever

[1:03:58] it may be. You also um will find that

[1:04:03] if you um are with individuals, it's

[1:04:07] very easy. This never this doesn't stop

[1:04:10] there. You'll be with somebody or you'll

[1:04:12] just meet somebody and they just rub you

[1:04:14] up the wrong way. And that happens

[1:04:16] whether you're sensitive or not. But

[1:04:17] when you're sensitive, it amplifies it.

[1:04:19] Again, the more healing you do for

[1:04:21] yourself, the more mindful you are

[1:04:23] yourself, the quicker you will

[1:04:25] recognize, oh, that's coming from that

[1:04:27] person. This is not me. Cuz sometimes it

[1:04:29] can be hard to tell. I was in a good

[1:04:31] mood. Now I'm now I just sort of going

[1:04:33] around sort of feeling like doom and

[1:04:35] gloom. You're like, how did that happen?

[1:04:37] Why do I feel so gloomy? because you

[1:04:39] just met your neighbor who's doom and

[1:04:42] gloom, picked it up from them. But the

[1:04:43] more you can recognize that's somebody

[1:04:45] else's stuff, the quicker you can go

[1:04:46] back and that's not me, that's them. Let

[1:04:48] me go let me go back and recapture my

[1:04:50] 8:00 joy before I met them. And so a lot

[1:04:53] of that becomes just but this is where

[1:04:55] the mindfulness, the meditation practice

[1:04:58] can really help as well. But it really

[1:05:00] it's not about protection, it's about

[1:05:01] self-care, right? We can't go out, get

[1:05:05] away from me, you're full of doom and

[1:05:06] gloom. We can just go cut our just

[1:05:09] recognize, oh, this person's mood is or

[1:05:12] energy is really affecting me. Let's cut

[1:05:13] this conversation short and we're off.

[1:05:15] I've got a neighbor who every time I see

[1:05:17] him, he's like that. And I always have

[1:05:18] to pretend I've got phrasing food in my

[1:05:20] bag that I have to get it into the

[1:05:22] freezer to get out of there because he

[1:05:24] always flex me like that. But we come up

[1:05:26] with these we come up with these

[1:05:27] self-care remedies, not protective

[1:05:29] remedies. If that's better.

[1:05:31] Kine, you're in Switzerland speak. Yeah.

[1:05:33] So I have uh my friend um you could

[1:05:37] contact um uh David Scherther is Swiss

[1:05:42] um

[1:05:44] and David Sherther are you on Facebook?

[1:05:48] Where's Katrine gone? If you're on

[1:05:51] Facebook, go look up David Sher. He's a

[1:05:53] friend of mine. He's he is a Swiss

[1:05:55] medium. I don't know if he runs a

[1:05:57] circle. I know he does teaching in

[1:05:59] Switzerland and in Germany. So he might

[1:06:02] be a good resource for you to check out.

[1:06:04] David Sherer s C H I E S S er Swiss guy

[1:06:09] David Scherer. All right.

[1:06:12] And then you can just let him know I uh

[1:06:14] sent you his way. Actually, he's got a

[1:06:15] website. Let me see. Have I got it here?

[1:06:17] David Sherer, I think it is.

[1:06:21] Yeah, David Cher.

[1:06:24] Here it is.

[1:06:29] That's the website. You can check him

[1:06:30] out. See if he's got a circle. He might

[1:06:31] be able to recommend a circle or

[1:06:33] something. Oh, is that his website?

[1:06:36] Yeah, it must be

[1:06:39] David Cher. There's something wrong. No,

[1:06:41] that's not his website. Sorry, wrong

[1:06:43] website. It's an artist.

[1:06:46] David Cher.

[1:06:49] Sorry, everyone.

[1:06:57] Oh, sorry. Blending mind. This is it.

[1:07:00] Sorry. Disregard that last website. It's

[1:07:03] this one. blendingmind.com. That's he's

[1:07:06] Swiss. So, you could check in with him.

[1:07:08] All right.

[1:07:10] Okay. I think that's Have I got

[1:07:12] everyone's questions?

[1:07:15] Yep. I think that's it. Pretty much all

[1:07:17] the ones that

[1:07:19] um Oh, wait. I know there's a couple

[1:07:21] more here. Can you explain for about the

[1:07:24] shamanism and medium sh both can exist

[1:07:25] and believe they can help spirits cross

[1:07:26] over death? I'm not getting into that

[1:07:29] because um so Dest just asked me can you

[1:07:31] explain about how shamanism and

[1:07:32] mediumship can both exist and believe

[1:07:34] they can help spirits cross over also

[1:07:36] murder victims needing and wishing for

[1:07:38] help. I'm just going to say I don't

[1:07:40] believe that at all. I know it's in

[1:07:42] mediumship it should that should not

[1:07:43] exist at all because we know and I've

[1:07:46] given a lecture on this and you can find

[1:07:47] it on my YouTube channel and we know

[1:07:49] this from experience that nobody dies

[1:07:51] alone. We know there's always a

[1:07:52] gathering around everybody who dies. We

[1:07:54] can I have I sat and identified and

[1:07:56] named the people sitting around a

[1:07:57] person's bed who are dying. And so it

[1:07:59] makes absolutely no sense that they all

[1:08:01] the gang all comes to collect somebody

[1:08:03] to carry them across and to bring them

[1:08:05] back into the stream or whatever. And um

[1:08:08] and and and what loses them. It's

[1:08:11] nonsense. My absolute nonsense. I don't

[1:08:13] know why I'm not even going to go into

[1:08:15] why people talk about that. Indigenous I

[1:08:18] understand it's a very different period.

[1:08:20] We can't. It's like saying, "Oh, in

[1:08:22] Homer's time, they believed if you

[1:08:23] didn't give them the right funeral

[1:08:24] rights, they were earthbound." But we no

[1:08:26] longer believe that. Some people still

[1:08:27] dragged along with them. People have We

[1:08:30] can certainly pray for people.

[1:08:33] But I guarantee you the spirit world is

[1:08:36] far more powerful and more resourced

[1:08:38] when it helps people to heal when they

[1:08:41] after they die than we are.

[1:08:44] So you will I will It's the same with

[1:08:46] rescue circles. boggles the mind. When

[1:08:49] you sit and you work with people who are

[1:08:50] dying, it makes absolutely no sense. So,

[1:08:55] we don't need to help people cross over.

[1:08:56] We can certainly pray. Our loving

[1:08:58] intention is always welcome, but we

[1:09:01] don't need to be building um you know,

[1:09:04] big flaming circles in the sky to

[1:09:07] direct them through. They were doing

[1:09:09] that after that tsunami in Japan. I was

[1:09:11] like, "Oh my god, no wonder people think

[1:09:13] we're all nuts." More sophisticated. I

[1:09:16] would if I if anything if you take

[1:09:18] anything away from this session today I

[1:09:20] would say take away the fact that

[1:09:21] mediumship is just work and practice and

[1:09:22] dedication and commitment. And secondly

[1:09:26] we really need to advance our

[1:09:28] understanding of the nature of

[1:09:29] consciousness and spirit into what we

[1:09:32] know now from other disciplines exists

[1:09:34] in the 21st century and drop all of the

[1:09:37] medieval classical everything all of

[1:09:39] those fictions. fantastic fictions all

[1:09:41] of their time, beautiful, but in reality

[1:09:44] have no bearing on us at the moment and

[1:09:47] our current understanding. We don't

[1:09:48] think the earth is flat anymore. Why are

[1:09:51] we still holding on to these beliefs?

[1:09:53] All right. So, that's what you get from

[1:09:56] that.

[1:09:58] My great I'm not so my grandparents

[1:10:00] great-grandparents are reincarnated.

[1:10:02] Will I be able to contact them? So,

[1:10:03] again, I don't believe like I said, I'm

[1:10:05] not a reincarnation person there. I have

[1:10:07] a very zen approach to where

[1:10:09] reincarnation comes from. We um and I'm

[1:10:13] just going to say this. I want you all

[1:10:15] just to think for a minute. Anyone who's

[1:10:16] interested in reincarnation, what I want

[1:10:18] you to think about, you're here, right?

[1:10:21] You are who you are at the moment.

[1:10:22] You're a sum total of your genes, your

[1:10:25] experiences, your makeup, your memories,

[1:10:29] your dispositions, your beliefs, all of

[1:10:31] these things. That's who you are. Right

[1:10:33] now, take away your culture.

[1:10:37] Take away your education. Take away your

[1:10:39] genome. Take away your parents. Take

[1:10:42] away your formative years. Take away all

[1:10:44] of your memories

[1:10:47] and tell me what's left.

[1:10:52] Right? Nothing. The spirit is left. All

[1:10:56] of the rest of that conditioning is

[1:10:57] gone. So what's left?

[1:11:01] If that reincarnates, what's that got to

[1:11:03] do with you? So this is why in Buddhism

[1:11:06] the fundamental tenant of Buddhism is

[1:11:08] there is no self.

[1:11:10] There is no self. We're just a part of a

[1:11:12] stream. So how so like within Buddhism

[1:11:15] it's like Tikna Khan describes it

[1:11:16] beautifully like there's the ocean right

[1:11:19] the wave of consciousness there is the

[1:11:20] ocean and we and a wave arises

[1:11:25] right the wave arises returns to the

[1:11:28] ocean and the wave arises again.

[1:11:31] Is it the same wave?

[1:11:37] Right? All the waves of part of the

[1:11:39] ocean. None of the waves are the same.

[1:11:42] Right? So there is a theory that um

[1:11:48] we are multi and it seems to make sense

[1:11:50] that we would be multi-dimensional

[1:11:51] people. We have this very finite sort of

[1:11:54] idea of we are here and then we are

[1:11:56] there. There's some geography involved.

[1:11:57] This is again it's old school way of

[1:11:59] thinking. We can exist here and there at

[1:12:02] the same time. Right? So if we exist

[1:12:06] here and there at the same time, the

[1:12:08] question of reincarnation becomes moot.

[1:12:11] The question of oh my grandparents were

[1:12:13] here and there at the same time and now

[1:12:16] they're not here, they're there. So are

[1:12:18] they reincarnated? Of course not.

[1:12:20] They're still there because we are all

[1:12:21] always there. Is that too widely this?

[1:12:24] Would you understand what I'm talking

[1:12:25] about?

[1:12:26] We are all always there which means they

[1:12:29] everybody else is all always there

[1:12:33] right we are existing in

[1:12:34] multi-dimensionals we understand that we

[1:12:36] are existing in the body with an antenna

[1:12:38] tuning in the eternal consciousness and

[1:12:41] I honestly the thing about reincarnation

[1:12:44] is um unless somebody can come along and

[1:12:48] give absolute tangible evidence and

[1:12:51] proof that they are oh I'm your

[1:12:52] grandmother I'm the six-year-old cage

[1:12:54] but I'm really your grandmother and

[1:12:55] here's a bunch of tangela bill evidence

[1:12:58] about it then I don't believe it to be

[1:13:00] honest I've come across this so much and

[1:13:01] again I've been a practicing Buddhist

[1:13:03] for 25 nearly 30 years now and this is

[1:13:07] not Buddha dharma this is something that

[1:13:08] has been appropriated by the west from

[1:13:11] an eastern philosophy and I get off my

[1:13:13] soap box about this at the moment the

[1:13:15] reason why I get upset about these

[1:13:17] things is because I've seen people do so

[1:13:18] much harm with this somebody has father

[1:13:22] abused them I've seen this Somebody had

[1:13:25] a very abusive father. The father dies

[1:13:28] and then they go to a medium and the

[1:13:29] medium says, "Oh no, your father is not

[1:13:31] in the spirit world. He's reincarnated.

[1:13:32] He's having a good life here with

[1:13:33] somebody or other." And all of the

[1:13:36] trauma that person was carrying now

[1:13:38] cannot be resolved because they've been

[1:13:40] told that their father is just having a

[1:13:42] happy life over there now with the new

[1:13:43] family. It's absolute nonsense. There is

[1:13:46] no truth to it. It's just madness.

[1:13:48] Absolute madness. Right. I had another

[1:13:51] guy and then I'm going to move on from

[1:13:52] this because you can see really I really

[1:13:54] get upset about this. I get upset about

[1:13:55] anything that does harm and anything

[1:13:58] that is entirely an absolutely

[1:14:00] speculative and this is a completely

[1:14:02] speculative question. Right? I had a guy

[1:14:05] one time at the education center

[1:14:07] actually and he came in and he said that

[1:14:10] um you know he'd always wanted to talk

[1:14:11] to his father. His father died when he

[1:14:13] was very young. He'd never been able to

[1:14:15] talk to him because he went to a medium.

[1:14:16] The medium said the father was

[1:14:17] reincarnated. So this poor guy was

[1:14:19] really upset. He never had an

[1:14:21] opportunity to get to know his father in

[1:14:23] spirit because his father was had left

[1:14:25] him in this life and now had left him in

[1:14:27] the spirit world. Left this poor guy

[1:14:29] like this, right?

[1:14:32] And I said, so of course being a

[1:14:35] Buddhist I'm like that sounds like a

[1:14:37] load of nonsense. But I said, come and

[1:14:39] sit down. And I sat soon as I sat down.

[1:14:41] I said, I've got a man here. He looks

[1:14:42] like this and he's sitting here and he's

[1:14:43] rolling mala beads in a little thing,

[1:14:45] round thing, brown malabes. And I say,

[1:14:47] yeah, that was my father. used to have

[1:14:48] these little brown malib beads like the

[1:14:50] father had been there all the time

[1:14:51] trying to talk to his son

[1:14:54] and then this medium tells him he can't

[1:14:57] because his father has abandoned him now

[1:14:59] twice. You see people most the time if

[1:15:03] anything honest honestly if anything

[1:15:04] doesn't make sense if anything cannot be

[1:15:08] verified dismiss it because all it does

[1:15:11] is harm. All right.

[1:15:14] The spirit world is essentially an

[1:15:15] absolutely love and we get these

[1:15:17] glimmers of it. We get these glimmers of

[1:15:19] it like in the east they don't want the

[1:15:21] whole idea is not to reincarnate.

[1:15:24] The whole idea is to live a life in such

[1:15:26] a way that you don't have to come back

[1:15:28] here that you can get to nirvana.

[1:15:31] But in the west because we've got a

[1:15:33] different egocentric way of seeing the

[1:15:35] world we've got this notion that we

[1:15:37] individuals we keep reincarnating which

[1:15:40] is completely impossible when we

[1:15:42] understand what the nature of

[1:15:43] consciousness

[1:15:45] right we can't reincarnate as the self

[1:15:48] because the self doesn't exist another

[1:15:51] wave can arise but if it doesn't have

[1:15:53] our genome our memories our culture our

[1:15:55] parents our friends and our nothing what

[1:15:58] is it

[1:16:00] the other thing two is that any of you

[1:16:03] who've had this experience where you've

[1:16:05] got the tiniest

[1:16:07] sense of the absolute depth and

[1:16:10] unconditional love that exists in the

[1:16:11] spirit world, which I've had fleeting

[1:16:14] experiences of.

[1:16:16] It is so unbelievably magnificent

[1:16:19] that you spend your entire life chasing

[1:16:21] it again. And once you got there, I can

[1:16:24] guarantee you if I got there and I got

[1:16:27] that for the whole period, I would no

[1:16:29] way in hell would I be back.

[1:16:33] That's what the Buddha was talking about

[1:16:35] when he's talking about Nirvana. Being

[1:16:37] one with the depth of this unconditional

[1:16:40] love that is so beyond our frame of

[1:16:43] reference and our language that it's not

[1:16:46] even possible to convey it. It's just

[1:16:48] called Nirvana.

[1:16:52] And if you experience that, I guarantee

[1:16:54] you're not going to be want to be coming

[1:16:56] back.

[1:16:58] So all of these things I would just say

[1:16:59] challenge ch I know this we've kind of

[1:17:02] gone off the story. We've gone off. The

[1:17:03] Daly Lama just calls himself a man. He

[1:17:05] calls himself a monk and he has gone on

[1:17:07] record with this. The monks around him

[1:17:11] go through this ritualistic Tibetan

[1:17:13] tradition of identifying things to

[1:17:16] determine who the Daly Lama is. The Daly

[1:17:18] Lama himself has said he is just a monk.

[1:17:21] Right? He has even said that he believes

[1:17:23] the next Daly Lama will come from the

[1:17:25] west. So the Daly Lama himself has gone

[1:17:28] on the wave has gone on the has gone on

[1:17:30] record. He has talked about this quite a

[1:17:31] lot, right? Um so

[1:17:35] um

[1:17:38] well the question of if we're reduced

[1:17:40] it's not that we are reduced to a wave

[1:17:42] we become whole within the ocean. This

[1:17:45] whole reincarnation question is well

[1:17:46] beyond the remitt of mediumship which is

[1:17:48] this is about. Um so I can I can't go on

[1:17:51] about it any longer than that. What I

[1:17:53] would say is that if you we need to

[1:17:56] start to un take away all of these

[1:17:59] parameters that we've built around

[1:18:00] ourselves in the west and to start to

[1:18:02] think in much more fluid expansive

[1:18:06] vastness of mind waves. And the

[1:18:08] interesting question is what happens

[1:18:11] within the wave when we are out of our

[1:18:13] body. To me that is the only interesting

[1:18:15] question about this whole subject. So I

[1:18:17] will leave it at that. Um

[1:18:22] so um can we um anybody any questions

[1:18:28] that have risen for you while we've been

[1:18:31] chatting here? We've gone on quite a

[1:18:33] long time so you probably won't get

[1:18:35] chance to do a practice but has anybody

[1:18:38] got a question? anything that's kind of

[1:18:40] come up for you during this conversation

[1:18:43] that I haven't addressed,

[1:18:48] just pop it. Where's my chat box gone?

[1:18:49] You can pop it in the chat. We'll take

[1:18:51] just a few more minutes.

[1:19:01] Okay, no questions, just thank you.

[1:19:02] Okay, marvelous. Well, I hope this has

[1:19:04] been helpful for you. What I would say

[1:19:06] is since we didn't get a chance to do a

[1:19:08] practice, what I would recommend after

[1:19:10] this practice, if you go along to the um

[1:19:13] community section of my website, you can

[1:19:18] there are a bunch of free resources

[1:19:19] there. What might be nice practice for

[1:19:21] you to do there is I think a 20inut

[1:19:23] practice on um doing a trans channeling

[1:19:26] practice. Let me put that in the chat

[1:19:28] here for you. Chat to everyone. It's a

[1:19:31] 20-minute practice. If you want to pop

[1:19:32] off, make a cup of tea. If you've got 20

[1:19:34] minutes, come back. If you go and join

[1:19:35] the community and you go to um the

[1:19:38] guided meditations, it's free. So you go

[1:19:41] to the guided meditation section, there

[1:19:43] is a practice there. I think it's called

[1:19:46] sitting in the healing powers and I

[1:19:48] can't remember the name of it now. Can't

[1:19:50] remember it. But if you go there,

[1:19:51] there's 20-minute practice and that

[1:19:52] might be a nice practice for you to do

[1:19:55] um after this session. Just sort of get

[1:19:57] settled into the healing power that

[1:19:59] we've been talking about for the last

[1:20:00] hour and a half. And don't forget if you

[1:20:02] want to do uh basic uh beginners and

[1:20:05] intermediate mediumship development um

[1:20:08] to do that join our private practice

[1:20:10] circles and get your certificate of

[1:20:13] completion. Pop along to the um

[1:20:16] mediumship intermediate uh page. We'll

[1:20:19] send you out the link with that as well

[1:20:21] and you get both courses just for this

[1:20:23] month. Norm they're $120 off just for

[1:20:26] this month if you get the bundle. So

[1:20:27] it's a good it's a good little uh it's a

[1:20:29] very good foundation from beginning all

[1:20:31] the way up to intermediate. So that

[1:20:33] should be helpful for you as well. So

[1:20:35] thank you all for coming this morning. I

[1:20:38] hope this has been helpful. I hope it's

[1:20:40] been food for thought. I hope really

[1:20:42] it's been encouraging and that you were

[1:20:45] all encouraged to go all right. I do

[1:20:47] have to practice but that's normal. So

[1:20:49] um please do and please do be mindful

[1:20:52] pay attention to your practice. If you

[1:20:54] can do this work, whether it's healing

[1:20:56] work, whether it's inspirational

[1:20:58] speaking, whether it's doing your

[1:21:00] eternal bonds and sharing positive

[1:21:02] experience to with other people, please

[1:21:04] do that as well. We really need more

[1:21:07] people sharing positive experiences and

[1:21:09] enlightened experiences and not myths

[1:21:12] and misconceptions and superstitions to

[1:21:15] really we could do we really need a lot

[1:21:16] of positivity in our world moment. So

[1:21:19] please do share those positive

[1:21:21] experiences that you've had with other

[1:21:23] people and remember um it's all

[1:21:26] ultimately unconditional love and

[1:21:28] compassion and really being somebody

[1:21:31] asked do we have a spiritual purpose

[1:21:32] here I say yes our spiritual purpose

[1:21:34] here is to be of service and helpful to

[1:21:38] other people so please take that with

[1:21:39] you all right thank you very much have a

[1:21:42] lovely weekend

[1:21:44] and I will see you the next take care

[1:21:48] bye-bye

In Karen Frances McCarthy's framing, evidential mediumship is the discipline of checking what comes through against what can be verified, so the student learns to tell a clear communication from a hopeful one. She argues that students need a solid foundation in it before entering advanced, mentored work.
McCarthy notes that students often hold back a question because it feels foolish, only to discover that many others share it. Grouping questions by theme in a live roundup is one way she makes that reassurance visible.
McCarthy says the Akashic records are not her field, and she refers those questions to a friend who works with past-life progression and Akashic records. Her point is that a teacher should know the edge of their competence and send people across it to someone qualified.
McCarthy uses the phrase to describe a reading that piles up dense, impressive-sounding specifics. Her caution is that volume can feel like proof while obscuring how much was supplied by the sitter's own memory and expectations.
In a reading involving daisies, McCarthy shows that a symbol can point in more than one direction, including toward a pregnancy loss. She suggests holding the interpretation loosely, testing it with the sitter, and staying open to being wrong.
McCarthy suggests that where a question touches on distress, a student may be better served by a counselor than by more spirit work. She treats emotional wellbeing as something to factor in alongside development.
