Archangel Michael Body Scan: A 9-Minute Guided Healing Practice

À regarder · 7

Uncross your legs and arms. That is the first instruction in Debbie Boyle's nine-minute guided healing meditation, and it sets the tone for everything that follows: stop managing what you feel and start noticing it. Over the next nine minutes, Boyle leads the listener through a body scan in which she invites Archangel Michael and what she calls "your own healing team" to step in. Guardian angels, archangels, spirit guides, and "family and friends of light" are all named as part of that team. The listener breathes slowly and imagines a blue radiance pouring from the crown of the head down through each energy center, opening what she describes as doorways at the forehead, throat, heart, belly, pelvis, knees, and soles of the feet, and releasing whatever has become stuck along the way. The practice is aimed at anyone feeling inflamed, emotionally delicate, stressed, or simply out of balance, and Boyle built it to be short enough to return to whenever the need comes up.

Lecture · 7 sections

What happens in the first two minutes of this meditation?

The opening is deliberately unhurried. Boyle asks the listener to take a slow, big breath and to observe, without judgment, how the body is right now. She acknowledges that as you sit still, you may begin to notice sensations you have not been paying attention to, or that have been hard to sit with. That is not a detour from the practice. It is the starting point. A body scan works only if you are willing to locate what is actually there before asking anything to change.

Boyle's opening line, which sets the premise for the whole session, is an invitation rather than a diagnosis: "Are you feeling a little bit inflamed, a little bit all over the place?" Note the word choice. She does not ask the listener to fix a problem. She asks them to make a few minutes available for themselves. That framing, time set aside to receive rather than time spent solving, runs through the whole recording.

Who is the healing team, and why invite them in?

Before the scan begins, Boyle makes an explicit move: she invites the listener's "healing team, your guides and angels," to step in and support them, "whether you're aware of it or not." She defines that team as a group that includes guardian angels, the archangels who work closest with us, spirit guides, and family and friends of light. The listener is asked to give themselves permission to invite them in and to name what they need help, support, or healing with at this moment.

This step matters structurally. It shifts the meditation from a solitary exercise into a relational one. The listener is not performing a technique alone; they are asking for help from a group they are invited to imagine as already present. Whatever your beliefs about that framework, the practice gives the mind a clear, specific act of asking, and a clear sense of who is being asked. For many people, a named set of supporters is easier to rest into than a vague intention to "relax."

Boyle then calls on Archangel Michael specifically, whom she introduces as "the Archangel of protection and empowerment." She asks the listener to focus that protection on any part of the body that feels "festering or inflamed, painful, challenged, broken," or simply delicate. The request is repeated throughout the recording. Michael is not invoked once and left behind. He is called back at several key points, including three times in a row near the midpoint.

How does the breath-and-doorway method work through the body?

The mechanics of the practice are simple and repeatable. On each inhale, the listener imagines breathing "the gorgeous blue radiance" of Michael into a specific area. On each exhale, they give themselves permission to let go of what is stuck there. Boyle often pairs the breath with a visualized doorway: a point at the forehead, the throat, the palms, the chest, the knees, the soles of the feet, which she describes as opening, or being opened, so that light can move in and stale energy can move out.

The sequence follows a rough top-to-bottom path. The light pours down through the top of the head and begins to dissolve anything overwhelming the listener "around your head," including weight and intrusive thoughts. It moves to the forehead and third eye, described as "a doorway opening," where the aim is to release anything "preventing you from seeing clearly," both the outer world and "within yourself." From there, the light travels through the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, and through the pineal and pituitary glands and the brain before reaching the throat.

Each stop follows the same logic. Breathe in the light. Name what might be catching there, whether heaviness, anger, grief, or fear. Exhale it out. The repetition is the teaching. A listener who follows the instruction nine minutes straight has rehearsed the same basic act about a dozen times, which is part of why the format is easy to return to.

Why does the throat and heart get so much attention?

The throat receives one of the longest passages in the recording. Boyle asks the listener to let go of "any words spoken or unspoken," written or unwritten, "in anger, pain, hurt, or fear," that have become stuck and are "preventing you from speaking your truth." Here she invites the listener to ask Michael to step in closer, imagining him "stretching his wings out and just enfolding them around you." The image is physical and protective at once: feel the strength, feel the support. Light moves over the shoulders, "lifting up any heaviness around you," and the listener is asked to release what is weighing on them from above.

The heart comes next, with the same structure. The doorway opens in the center of the chest, front and back, and the listener is invited to release "heartbreak or heartache, sadness or suffering, hurt or fear." Then the light moves below the ribs, toward what Boyle calls "overpowering" and "disempowering" feelings. The emphasis on releasing emotional material held in the chest and abdomen is consistent with what the description calls the practice's purpose: support for people who are emotionally delicate.

What is the affirmation at the center of the practice?

Near the end of the lower-body passage, after Michael has been called three times and the light has reached the pelvis, the knees, and the feet, Boyle offers the listener words to say aloud or silently. The affirmation is the most direct statement of intent in the whole meditation:

"Archangel Michael, please intervene in my life. Please support me and help me. I am worthy and willing to allow the healing light of Michael, the Archangel, to guide and protect me now." (Debbie Boyle, guided meditation, around 8:35)

Notice that the affirmation moves from request to consent. The first sentences ask for help; the last one states the listener's own willingness and worth. It is the moment in the practice where the listener stops being only the recipient of the light and becomes a participant in accepting it.

The meditation closes by grounding that protection. Boyle asks the listener to feel "white golden roots of light" moving down from the feet into the earth, spreading "in all directions" and growing "really, really strong." The closing words are a summary of the whole arc: "Now you are protected, supported, grounded, and connected." Then comes the return: the listener is asked to bring their awareness back to the room, and to say thank you.

How should you use a practice like this?

Boyle designed this recording for flexibility. She suggests saving it if the moment is not right and returning to it "as often as you feel you need to." It is short enough to fit between tasks, and the instructions are spoken slowly, with pauses, so there is room to follow along without memorizing the sequence. Her own advice is to find somewhere comfortable and allow yourself to receive.

A few practical notes follow from the structure itself. Sit or lie in a position where you can keep the breath slow and the spine comfortable. Do not force the imagery; if you cannot see blue light, you can still breathe into each area and name what you are releasing. Treat the affirmation as an invitation rather than a test. And if a particular region produces strong feelings, the meditation's own language allows for that: you are asked to notice, breathe, and release, not to push through.

Whether you hold the archangels and the healing team as literal presences or as images that help you settle, the recording offers a clear, disciplined way to move attention through the body, pair each stop with breath, and end by asking for support rather than carrying everything alone.

Where to go from here

Start with the full nine-minute recording. Listen once without trying to follow every instruction, then listen again and notice where your attention catches. Pay attention to which areas the meditation names, because those are the places where your own body may be asking for care. If the practice helps, return to it on the days you feel overwhelmed, unsettled, or in need of a few quiet minutes. Share it with someone who might need a little extra support today, as Boyle suggests in her description. And if you find the idea of a healing team meaningful, consider writing your own short list of who you would invite in, and what you would ask them for.

[0:01] Are you feeling a little bit inflamed, a

[0:02] little bit all over the place like you

[0:04] could do with something now, a little

[0:06] bit of support?

[0:08] Just a few minutes to yourself. Well,

[0:10] I've just recorded a mini guided angelic

[0:13] meditation.

[0:15] It is only 9 minutes long. If you save

[0:18] this video if it's not the right time

[0:20] and come back to it later on, it's a

[0:22] body scan. It may be very supportive in

[0:26] bringing you back into union with a

[0:29] sense of peace

[0:31] and enjoy.

[0:35] Give yourself permission to relax.

[0:39] Uncross your legs and arms.

[0:43] Begin by taking a slow

[0:45] big breath.

[0:50] And just without [music]

[0:51] judgment, just observe how you feel.

[0:55] How your body [music] is.

[1:00] Maybe as you sit still for

[1:03] this few minutes, you begin to feel

[1:05] things in the body that you haven't been

[1:07] paying attention to

[1:08] or it's been really difficult to sit

[1:10] [music] with or to be aware of.

[1:15] I'm going to invite your healing team,

[1:17] [music] your guides and angels

[1:20] to step in now and support you for this.

[1:24] Whether you're aware of it or not.

[1:27] Each of us have a healing team

[1:30] consisting of our guardian angels,

[1:34] the archangels that work closest [music]

[1:36] with us,

[1:38] our spirit guides and family and friends

[1:40] of light.

[1:44] Give yourself permission now to invite

[1:46] them [music] in,

[1:47] to ask them to come in and support you,

[1:50] help you with whatever is going on at

[1:52] the moment, whatever you [music] need

[1:53] help,

[1:55] support,

[1:56] or healing for now.

[2:00] I'm going to ask Archangel Michael.

[2:03] Archangel Michael

[2:06] Archangel [music] Michael to step

[2:07] forward now.

[2:09] The Archangel of protection and

[2:11] empowerment.

[2:13] And particularly for any part of you

[2:15] that feels

[2:17] festering or [music] inflamed, painful,

[2:20] challenged, broken.

[2:24] Maybe a little [music] bit delicate.

[2:26] Where there's suffering or where you

[2:28] need a little bit reinforcements.

[2:29] [music] I want you to imagine as you

[2:31] breathe slow but beautiful breaths.

[2:36] You're breathing the gorgeous blue

[2:38] radiance of Archangel [music]

[2:40] Michael into whatever part of you

[2:43] is needing [music]

[2:44] the healing the most.

[2:48] Imagine the light pouring down

[2:51] through the top of your head.

[2:54] The light of Archangel [music]

[2:55] Michael beginning to release and

[2:57] dissipate

[2:58] anything overwhelming you around [music]

[3:00] your head.

[3:02] Anything that's weighing down upon you

[3:04] or causing intrusive thoughts.

[3:07] Breathing that gorgeous healing light

[3:09] through you [music] helping to dissolve

[3:11] and release anything that does not serve

[3:14] you here.

[3:16] Imagine you're breathing that blue

[3:17] radiance in through the forehead into

[3:20] your third eye.

[3:22] A doorway opening or being opened here.

[3:26] Breathe the light in.

[3:29] And as you exhale, give yourself

[3:31] permission to breathe out anything

[3:33] catching [music]

[3:33] or stuck behind your eyes.

[3:36] Anything preventing you from seeing

[3:38] clearly. [music]

[3:39] Seeing the world around you. Seeing

[3:41] within yourself.

[3:44] Just feel a radiance of healing holy

[3:47] light moving right over right through

[3:49] [music] you. Dissolving, dissipating,

[3:51] and releasing you now.

[3:53] Imagine you're breathing the light

[3:54] through your eyes, nose,

[3:57] mouth, and ears [music]

[3:59] through the pineal and pituitary glands,

[4:01] through your brain.

[4:03] As you breathe [music] down into the

[4:04] throat chakra, imagining a doorway

[4:05] opening into your throat front and back.

[4:09] Take a big, beautiful [music] breath of

[4:10] light. Breathe the healing light of

[4:12] Michael the Archangel right down into

[4:15] the throat.

[4:17] And as you exhale, giving yourself

[4:19] permission to let go of any words spoken

[4:22] or unspoken here,

[4:25] written

[4:26] or unwritten

[4:28] by you or [music] to you

[4:30] in anger, pain, hurt, or fear that have

[4:33] gotten stuck in your throat that are

[4:35] influencing or impeding you [music] at

[4:37] some level that are preventing you from

[4:39] speaking your truth.

[4:42] Feel the light of Michael the Archangel,

[4:44] and you might even ask Michael to step

[4:45] in a little bit more, imagining Michael

[4:48] stepping in [music] right beside you.

[4:50] Imagining Michael stretching his wings

[4:52] out and just enfolding them around you,

[4:55] feeling the strength, [music]

[4:56] the support,

[4:58] the protection of this powerful being.

[5:01] Feel the light shining over your

[5:03] shoulders, lifting [music]

[5:04] up any heaviness around you.

[5:06] Feel the energy of Michael the Archangel

[5:08] coming in through the throat chakra.

[5:11] Giving yourself permission to release

[5:12] anything [music] blocking you or

[5:14] in any way, shape, or form influencing

[5:17] you here.

[5:19] As the light moves over the shoulders,

[5:20] give yourself [music] permission for

[5:22] anything that's overwhelming or

[5:23] burdening you

[5:25] to be released, anything that's [music]

[5:26] weighing you down,

[5:28] tormenting or challenging you.

[5:30] Breathing the [music] light, bright,

[5:33] gorgeous healing radiance of Archangel

[5:35] Michael, the protection,

[5:37] >> [music]

[5:37] >> the reinforcements,

[5:39] and the love.

[5:41] Feel the light moving down both of your

[5:43] arms, inside [music]

[5:44] and outside your body,

[5:46] right down into your hands.

[5:49] Imagining doorways opening

[5:52] in in the palms of the your hands and

[5:54] breathing the light in and as you

[5:55] exhale, breathe out stale, stuck,

[5:59] stagnant energy.

[6:02] Feel the light pouring down into the

[6:03] center of your chest. Imagining a

[6:04] doorway opening or being opened into the

[6:07] center [music] of your chest now front

[6:08] and back.

[6:10] And breathe the light through you.

[6:13] Giving yourself permission to release

[6:15] any heartbreak or heartache,

[6:17] sadness or suffering,

[6:20] hurt or fear.

[6:22] Anything that's catching [music] in your

[6:24] heart chakra.

[6:26] Feeling an infusion of that gorgeous

[6:28] radiance of Archangel Michael.

[6:32] Breathe the light down through your

[6:33] body, down through the area under your

[6:36] ribs, releasing anything that's

[6:38] overwhelming, overpowering,

[6:40] >> [music]

[6:40] >> disempowering.

[6:42] Breathing the protection, support, and

[6:44] reinforcement [music]

[6:46] of Archangel Michael.

[6:48] I call Michael again three times.

[6:50] Archangel Michael.

[6:52] Archangel Michael.

[6:54] Archangel Michael, please step forward

[6:57] now.

[6:58] Please intervene.

[7:02] Breathe the light right down into the

[7:04] sacred body, right down into the area of

[7:05] your tummy.

[7:06] >> [music]

[7:06] >> A doorway opening an inch and a half

[7:08] below your belly button. Call Michael's

[7:10] name again. Archangel Michael.

[7:13] Breathe the light of Michael down into

[7:14] the sacral, part of you,

[7:17] your tummy.

[7:19] Give yourself [music] permission to

[7:20] release and exhale any heaviness, any

[7:22] emotional turmoil, pain, or suffering.

[7:24] [music]

[7:25] Anything that's catching here.

[7:29] Realigning you back to inner peace

[7:30] [music] and calm.

[7:32] Breathe the light right down into your

[7:34] pelvis. Imagine a doorway opening at the

[7:36] bottom of your spine.

[7:38] Breathe the strength, stability,

[7:41] protection, support, and groundedness of

[7:43] [music] Archangel Michael

[7:45] building inside you and around you.

[7:49] Feel how safe you are.

[7:52] Feel yourself letting that light drop

[7:53] right down your legs to your knees

[7:55] [music] now.

[7:56] Imagining doorways opening in the knees,

[7:58] releasing stale, stuck,

[8:01] and stagnant [music] energy.

[8:04] Feel an infusion of physical, emotional,

[8:07] mental, and spiritual [music]

[8:09] support on all levels. Not only in your

[8:12] knees, but around your [music] body.

[8:15] Take a breath as the light drops down

[8:16] your legs to your calves, down into your

[8:19] ankles and feet. Doorways opening in the

[8:21] soles [music] of the feet, releasing

[8:22] stale,

[8:24] stuck,

[8:25] and stagnant [music] energies.

[8:28] Feel the presence of Archangel Michael

[8:30] and the light of Michael throughout your

[8:32] body, through the layers of your aura,

[8:35] stretching into your life.

[8:37] Take a big breath and you can say,

[8:39] "Archangel Michael,

[8:41] please intervene in my life.

[8:43] Please support me

[8:45] and help me.

[8:47] I am worthy

[8:49] and willing

[8:51] to allow the healing light of Michael,

[8:53] the Archangel,

[8:56] to guide and protect me now."

[8:59] Feel white golden roots of light going

[9:02] right down through you, being guided by

[9:03] Michael, the Archangel, right down from

[9:06] the bottom of your feet into the Earth.

[9:09] Take a big breath as those roots go

[9:10] deeper,

[9:12] spreading out in all directions,

[9:15] becoming really, really strong.

[9:18] Now you are protected, [music]

[9:21] supported,

[9:23] grounded, [music] and connected.

[9:26] And when you're ready,

[9:29] bring your awareness back

[9:32] now.

[9:33] And thank you.

It is a guided practice in which the listener breathes light from Archangel Michael into each area of the body, from the crown of the head to the feet. In Debbie Boyle's nine-minute version, the listener also invites their guardian angels, spirit guides, and healing team to help, and exhales to release anything stuck at each point.
The recording runs nine minutes and thirty-six seconds in total, and Boyle describes it as a short session that can be saved and repeated. It is designed to fit into a brief pause in the day.
Boyle describes the healing team as guardian angels, the archangels who work closest with us, spirit guides, and family and friends of light. She invites the listener to ask them to come in and support whatever they need at that moment.
The description says it is particularly supportive for anyone feeling inflamed, emotionally delicate, stressed, or in need of additional healing and support. It is also framed as a way to reconnect with peace, protection, and alignment.
Near the end, Boyle offers the words: "Archangel Michael, please intervene in my life... I am worthy and willing to allow the healing light of Michael, the Archangel, to guide and protect me now." The listener can say it aloud or silently after the lower-body scan.
Breathe in a specific colored light into one area of the body, imagining a doorway opening there, then exhale and release anything stuck in that spot. Repeat from the head down through the throat, heart, belly, pelvis, legs, and feet, and finish by visualizing roots of light moving into the earth.
