Ajahn Sumedho
Meditation Teacher · Amaravati
Ajahn Sumedho ordained in 1967 and spent 9 years with Thailand’s Ajahn Chah. Invited to Britain, he established Cittaviveka (‘79) & Amaravati Monastery (’84).
He is beloved for his direct teaching of “the way it is” and his skilful, humourous pointing. Retired in the UK, he still shares insights with students around the world from a base at Amaravati.
Ajahn always speaks extemporaneously to his audience and all his talks can be used as guided meditations for one to watch the mind.
