À propos de cet événement

Description

Working with the Weather Spirits and the Elements is a spiritual gathering and distance learning class from the Foundation of the Sacred Stream, a school for consciousness studies in Berkeley, California. It is offered in a hybrid format, so you can take part from home, wherever you live. It suits anyone drawn to shamanic and earth-centered practice who wants to explore the elements and the weather as living presences, guided by Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D.

What to Expect

The Hybrid format combines pre-recorded video lectures with live video conference class meetings. You work with the recorded teachings on your own, then meet with the teacher and other students online for the live session. The live meeting runs on a Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific time, a three-hour block.

The class belongs to the Sacred Stream's wider body of work in shamanic practice, dreamwork, energy medicine, and Depth Hypnosis. The same school also hosts a monthly Circles for the Earth gathering and seasonal drum circles at the solstices and equinoxes.

About Isa Gucciardi

Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D., is the Founding Director of the Foundation of the Sacred Stream, a non-profit school for consciousness studies in Berkeley, California, founded in 2002. She is the creator of Depth Hypnosis, a therapeutic model, and the author of Coming to Peace.

Her path into this work began early. She writes that she spent most of her early years in other countries before moving to the United States as a teenager, and that she was struck by how little people around her wanted to talk about death. Reading Elisabeth Kübler-Ross's On Death and Dying in the early seventies was a relief. Years of volunteering in hospice settings, including the Zen Hospice Project, led her to a view she still holds: everyone grieves in their own way, and the most helpful thing is often to sit quietly and offer a non-judgmental space.

The Setting

This class is held through the Sacred Stream's Distance Learning program, based in Berkeley, California. You join from your own space by video conference, so all you need is a quiet place and a reliable connection.
