Wellness Retreat
Description
The Movement Alchemy Embodiment Retreat is a wellness retreat in Byron Bay, New South Wales, for people longing to step away from the noise of everyday life. It is an invitation to reconnect with yourself, receive nourishment and restore your nervous system through intentional practices, in the company of a like-minded community. It is led by Delamay Devi, a Byron Bay yoga teacher and facilitator of The 360 Emergence.
The retreat runs for four days. The intention is simple: to leave feeling lighter, clearer, supported, inspired and more connected to yourself, your heart and your own inner alchemy.
What to Expect
This is an embodiment retreat, so the body is the doorway. The days are built around intentional practices that bring movement, rest and connection together, held within a community of people who have come for similar reasons. The emphasis is on nourishment and on settling the nervous system, rather than on striving or performance.
Delamay's teaching joins the physical with the spiritual and the magical with the practical, and that sensibility shapes the retreat. A full day-by-day schedule is available on the retreat's own page.
About Delamay Devi
Delamay Devi is a yoga teacher and facilitator of The 360 Emergence. She lives in Byron Bay on Bundjalung Country, where she was born and raised. She describes her dedication to embodiment as a lifelong commitment, and she has three decades of experience teaching embodiment and more than two decades devoted to Prana Vinyasa Yoga.
Dance was her first embodiment practice. She began teaching in 1996 as a dance teacher and performance artist, and that path gradually led her into yoga. Since 2005 she has taught yoga and embodied practices internationally, having lived in Europe and Asia for much of her adult life.
Delamay is a Prana Vinyasa affiliate yoga teacher trainer with Shiva Rea's Samudra Global School for Living Yoga. Prana Vinyasa was created by Shiva Rea, whom she calls her longtime teacher and mitra (friend) on the path. Returning to teach in the place where she grew up gives this retreat a particular sense of home.
