2027 Workshops & Retreats

Omega Institute's 2027 season opens with a gathering of teachers drawn from contemplative, healing and philosophical traditions, set in the quiet of Rhinebeck, New York. This spiritual gathering is a way into a year of workshops and retreats for anyone who has felt the pull to slow down, ask larger questions and learn alongside others who are doing the same.

The 2027 catalog features Swami Sarvapriyananda, Rupert Spira, Nancy Colier, Jeanne Catanzaro and Miranda Esmonde-White, among many other teachers. Offerings range from nondual inquiry and meditation to movement, reiki and creative expression, with programs running from a long weekend to extended trainings. Whether you are new to retreat or have a long practice, there is room to choose the depth and length that suits you.

About the Lineup

Swami Sarvapriyananda is a Hindu monk of the Ramakrishna Order and a Vedanta teacher. Born in Kolkata and raised in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, he joined the Order at 23 in 1994 and received sanyasa diksha from Swami Ranganathananda in 2004. Since January 2017 he has served as Minister and spiritual leader of the Vedanta Society of New York. His 2027 workshop is titled Inquiry Into the Seer & the Seen.

Rupert Spira is a meditation teacher whose work centers on Advaita Vedanta, the nondual philosophy rooted in Indian classical thought, together with Sufi devotional practice. Born in London, he encountered the poetry of Rumi at fifteen and went on to learn the Mevlevi Turning. His approach brings together direct-path inquiry and heart-centered practice. He teaches Returning to Your True Nature.

Nancy Colier is a psychotherapist, interfaith minister, author and mindfulness teacher. Her books include The Power of Off and Inviting a Monkey to Tea. A national speaker on wellbeing, mindfulness and technology, she has been featured on Good Morning America and in The New York Times, and blogs for Psychology Today and Huffington Post. She leads Beyond the Narrative.

Jeanne Catanzaro is a spiritual teacher who co-leads Accessing Self with Richard Schwartz.

Miranda Esmonde-White is an author, educator and movement specialist. She leads Aging Backwards for All Ages.
