Its founder, Akal Sahai Khalsa, spent ten years as Snatam Kaur’s tour manager, helping bring sacred music to tens of thousands across the world. His father, GuruGanesha Singh, co-founded BrightStar and is also the founder of Spirit Voyage Records — the pioneering label that helped carry the sound of mantra music into mainstream awareness.
GuruGanesha is not only a visionary producer but also an accomplished Bhakti musician who has toured internationally with Snatam Kaur and the GuruGanesha Band. His life’s work has been dedicated to using music as a vehicle for consciousness, love, and remembrance.
Together, father and son built BrightStar as a continuation of that same devotional current — a way to serve artists, organizers, and seekers with integrity, transparency, and heart.
