[0:27] >> Welcome to our 20-minute Vinyasa flow
[0:29] next to one of Iceland's most powerful
[0:32] waterfalls.
[0:35] Today's practice is a dynamic, [music]
[0:37] yet graceful Vinyasa sequence designed
[0:39] to awaken mobility,
[0:41] >> [music]
[0:41] >> cultivate fluidity, and build embodied
[0:43] power throughout your entire body.
[0:48] As we practice, [music]
[0:50] let the visual and sound of the
[0:52] waterfall remind you that true power is
[0:54] fluid. It adapts. [music]
[0:56] It carves new pathways. It never forces,
[0:59] yet it transforms everything it touches.
[1:03] Allow the earth beneath your feet to
[1:05] ground you.
[1:06] Allow the breath to guide [music] you.
[1:09] And allow your movement to become an
[1:10] expression of your inner strength.
[1:13] This is your time to reconnect to the
[1:15] essence of your soul.
[1:17] To the quiet, unwavering power that
[1:19] lives within you.
[1:21] So, with that, grab your mat and let's
[1:24] begin. [music]
[1:28] >> [singing]
[1:38] [music]
[1:40] >> Thank you so much for joining me here
[1:42] today for this practice.
[1:45] We're going to begin by finding a
[1:47] comfortable seated position along the
[1:48] back of your mat.
[1:50] Bring your feet together, knees
[1:51] together. Easy hero pose.
[1:54] I'd like you to place the palms of your
[1:56] hands open on your knees, and close your
[1:58] eyes.
[2:00] Starting our practice today by bringing
[2:02] in an intention,
[2:04] welcoming a deep breath into the body,
[2:05] [music]
[2:06] and settling yourself into the present
[2:09] moment. Letting go of any heaviness, any
[2:12] to-do lists, [music]
[2:14] and simply arriving in your body at this
[2:17] time.
[2:18] Inhale,
[2:20] and exhale. Let's reach both arms up to
[2:23] the sky, bending your elbows,
[2:27] and guiding yourself all the way down to
[2:30] the mat.
[2:31] Inhale, let's do that again. Big reach
[2:34] of the arms up to the sky.
[2:37] Exhale, bending the elbows and bowing
[2:39] down to the earth again.
[2:42] Just adding this gentle movement
[2:44] >> [music]
[2:45] >> as a form of gesture and prayer to your
[2:47] own self, to the earth,
[2:50] to this [music] experience.
[2:53] Inhale, reaching the arms [music] back
[2:55] up again.
[2:58] Bend your elbows.
[3:00] >> [music]
[3:01] >> Draw your head back, and exhale, release
[3:04] all the way down into child's pose.
[3:05] [music] Reaching your fingertips to the
[3:07] front of your mat, forehead down, take a
[3:09] deep breath. As you round forward, allow
[3:12] your hips to drop, bend the elbows,
[3:13] [music] arch, and sit back down.
[3:18] Slowly from here, rounding forward,
[3:20] slight arch of the back, and sit [music]
[3:22] back down for two.
[3:26] Round forward, [music]
[3:28] and maybe this time extending through
[3:30] the knees, lifting the thighs off the
[3:32] mat, and back into child's pose.
[3:36] Making this fluid motion
[3:40] with your spine, with your down.
[3:43] >> [music]
[3:44] >> One more time, bring it through
[3:46] upward-facing dog.
[3:48] >> [music]
[3:48] >> Now, exhale, lift the hips, but keep the
[3:51] toes pointed, feeling a beautiful
[3:52] stretch [music] to the fronts of your
[3:54] feet, and then drop down into upward
[3:56] facing dog. See if you can maintain the
[3:58] position of your [music] feet through a
[4:00] pointed foot. Good. Bring the hips down,
[4:03] open upward facing dog.
[4:06] Exhale, push.
[4:08] >> [music]
[4:12] >> Back down into upward facing dog.
[4:16] Exhale.
[4:18] Release the feet, open them out.
[4:21] >> [music]
[4:21] >> Come into downward facing dog. Let's
[4:24] walk it out on the spot, bending one
[4:25] knee at a time, pressing the opposite
[4:27] heel into the mat.
[4:31] >> [music]
[4:31] >> Making this movement as big or small as
[4:34] you like to really just welcome the body
[4:36] into the mat, into the experience,
[4:38] letting go of any tension, any
[4:40] resistance in your feet, in your calves,
[4:43] your hamstrings.
[4:46] And then let's find stillness for a
[4:48] breath in.
[4:50] >> [music]
[4:51] >> On your next exhale, let's wave the body
[4:53] forward into high plank position.
[4:56] Slight tilt of the pelvis as you wave
[4:58] your spine back into downward facing
[4:59] dog.
[5:01] Wave it forward, plank.
[5:04] Back into downward facing dog.
[5:07] Wave your body forward into plank.
[5:10] >> [music]
[5:11] >> And back into downward facing dog.
[5:15] Come through into plank.
[5:18] And at this time, take your Chaturanga
[5:19] Dandasana, and now release the toes.
[5:22] Inhale, open up.
[5:25] Exhale, dip your left hip down, look
[5:27] over your right shoulder. [music]
[5:29] And then switch to the other side, a
[5:30] little release of the side body. Back
[5:33] [music] into center, inhale, exhale,
[5:36] push back downward facing dog.
[5:38] Find your breath. Spread those fingers
[5:40] wide.
[5:41] >> [music]
[5:41] >> Let's continue to move with the fluidity
[5:43] of this class and the energy. Let's
[5:46] bring your leg up into three-legged dog,
[5:48] bend your knee.
[5:53] Slowly from here, we're going to add
[5:55] circles of the knee for one.
[5:57] >> [music]
[5:58] >> And circle for two. Beautiful.
[6:03] And then from here, take your wild
[6:04] thing, bring your foot over and open up.
[6:07] >> [music]
[6:08] >> Point your toes and reach up.
[6:13] Bring it back to center, three-legged
[6:15] dog. [music]
[6:16] And then knee to chest, step your right
[6:19] foot to the front of your mat. Lift your
[6:21] body into crescent high lunge. Open up,
[6:25] big circle with the arms, bring the
[6:28] hands behind your back, interlace your
[6:30] fingers.
[6:32] Bring your chest to your thigh for one.
[6:35] Bring it back up.
[6:38] Exhale [music] for two.
[6:43] Bring it back up.
[6:45] >> [music]
[6:46] >> And lift and turn and open, continuing
[6:49] to keep your hands behind you, come into
[6:52] warrior two.
[6:54] And then release the arms.
[6:57] Go a little deeper, and then [music]
[6:58] take your peaceful warrior.
[7:00] Reaching your front arm all the way to
[7:02] the back of your mat. Make [music] sure
[7:03] the front knee stays bent. Really get
[7:05] into that body, and then bring your
[7:07] elbow to the knee, extended side angle.
[7:09] >> [music]
[7:09] >> Maybe go a little bit deeper.
[7:13] Inhale.
[7:15] Exhale.
[7:17] Lengthening through the side body.
[7:20] >> [music]
[7:20] >> Inhale again.
[7:23] Exhale.
[7:28] >> [music]
[7:31] >> Let's bring the hand down, pivoting the
[7:33] back foot. [music]
[7:34] Now reach your right arm up to the sky
[7:36] into a twist.
[7:38] Find your breath. Inhale.
[7:42] >> [music]
[7:44] >> Exhale. bring your gaze down. [music]
[7:47] From here, bring your arm down. When
[7:49] you're ready, step back into a wild
[7:52] thing one more time, so that front leg
[7:54] steps all the way back. Lift your hips
[7:57] up as high as you can.
[8:00] And then drop your hips down. You're
[8:02] facing the back of your mat. Flex the
[8:04] front foot, bend the other knee, and see
[8:05] if you can bind with the arms behind
[8:07] your back over that knee. If this is too
[8:10] difficult, you can just place your
[8:11] [music] hands forward and release into
[8:13] that single-legged forward fold. With
[8:15] the other knee, your right knee still
[8:17] bent and pointed up to the sky. Or
[8:19] another modification is to allow the
[8:21] knee to open like a one-legged
[8:22] butterfly.
[8:24] Deep breathing.
[8:26] And then exhale, lift back up.
[8:29] Let's release.
[8:31] Come through back into that three-legged
[8:33] dog.
[8:34] >> [music]
[8:37] >> And then return into your plank, taking
[8:39] your flow, chaturanga.
[8:42] Upward-facing dog on your inhale.
[8:45] >> [music]
[8:45] >> Exhale, downward-facing dog.
[8:50] Well done. Let's take it to the other
[8:51] side.
[8:53] Whenever you're ready, let's take the
[8:54] other leg, left leg reaches up, bend
[8:57] your knee.
[8:59] Stack your hips here, and feel free to
[9:02] add some circles with the knee to get a
[9:04] little deeper into the hip.
[9:06] >> [music]
[9:08] >> Go ahead and flip your dog, bring your
[9:10] foot over, and lift your hips. [music]
[9:12] And then come through, knee into your
[9:15] chest, and step forward with your left
[9:17] foot to the front of your mat. Reach
[9:19] both arms [music] up to the sky. Inhale
[9:21] and exhale, place your arms now behind
[9:24] you, interlace all 10 fingers. Inhale.
[9:27] >> [music]
[9:28] >> On your next exhale, drop your chest and
[9:30] heart towards that front knee as the
[9:32] fingers reach to the sky. Inhale open.
[9:35] >> [music]
[9:37] >> Exhale, release.
[9:41] Inhale, open.
[9:44] Exhale, pivot the back foot
[9:46] transitioning into your warrior two.
[9:50] >> [music]
[9:50] >> Release the hands, go a little deeper.
[9:53] Drop your shoulders down away from the
[9:55] ears,
[9:55] >> [music]
[9:56] >> and then release back into peaceful
[9:58] warrior.
[9:59] Inhale.
[10:02] Exhale, extended side angle elbow onto
[10:04] the front knee. Reach your other arm to
[10:06] the front of your mat, or to go deeper,
[10:08] bring your [music] fingertips all the
[10:09] way down as you open and extend.
[10:15] Finding your breath and really think
[10:17] about that elongation through the side
[10:18] [music] body.
[10:20] Stacking your shoulders on top of one
[10:22] another.
[10:23] >> [music]
[10:24] >> Deep breathing.
[10:26] Exhale out. [music]
[10:31] Good. Slowly bring it forward, lift and
[10:33] pivot the back heel. And then I'm going
[10:35] to let's reach the other hand up to the
[10:36] sky into a twisted high lunge.
[10:39] >> [music]
[10:40] >> Great job.
[10:44] Inhale.
[10:46] >> [music]
[10:48] >> Exhale out.
[10:51] Keep reaching, keep lifting that back
[10:53] knee off the mat.
[10:55] And then bring your hands down, step
[10:57] [music] back into your wild thing. So,
[11:00] that front foot comes all the way
[11:01] through and back. Lift the hips up to
[11:03] the sky. [music]
[11:04] And drop your hips down. So, the left
[11:07] knee stays bent, right leg is extended.
[11:10] Hold that knee in.
[11:11] And if it's within your practice, bring
[11:13] your left shoulder forward and around,
[11:15] binding your hands behind, and allowing
[11:17] your [music] forehead to come down. If
[11:19] that's too much, you can just simply
[11:20] bring your hands underneath your knee
[11:22] and allow yourself to release.
[11:25] Inhale.
[11:29] And exhale.
[11:31] >> [music]
[11:32] >> Awesome. Slowly from here, let's come on
[11:34] up.
[11:37] Release. Bringing yourself back through
[11:40] into a plank [music] position and take
[11:42] your chaturanga.
[11:43] Upward-facing dog, inhale.
[11:47] Exhale, downward-facing dog. Let it go.
[11:52] Breathe it in
[11:54] and breathe it out.
[11:57] Lift the heels, bend your knees, hop to
[11:59] the front of your mat.
[12:01] Inhale halfway, exhale fold, and slowly
[12:05] stand up tall, reach your arms up, and
[12:08] exhale hands in samasthiti in front of
[12:10] your heart center.
[12:11] Inhale from here, let's reach back up
[12:13] again. Push [music] the hips forward as
[12:15] you bring your head back.
[12:17] Bow down into your forward fold.
[12:21] >> [music]
[12:22] >> Inhale halfway, exhale take two steps
[12:25] back into plank, chaturanga.
[12:29] Upward-facing dog, inhale.
[12:31] >> [music]
[12:33] >> Exhale, come back into downward-facing
[12:36] dog.
[12:38] >> [music]
[12:42] >> Beautiful. Find that breath once again.
[12:46] >> [music]
[12:50] >> When you're ready, come back into plank.
[12:55] >> [music]
[12:55] >> Shift your weight over to the left hand,
[12:57] reach your right arm up to the sky,
[12:59] stack your feet. [music]
[13:01] And then from here, if you like, you can
[13:03] go the extra step and come into a tree
[13:05] variation in your side plank.
[13:08] Or to make it a more challenging, grab
[13:10] your big toe and see if you can extend
[13:13] into a full star.
[13:15] Lifting extending that leg, so whichever
[13:17] option you take that's great. And then
[13:20] we're going to come back in, bring the
[13:21] right knee into your chest, step it
[13:23] forward between your two hands, and
[13:25] let's meet in our low lunge. [music]
[13:28] Inhale.
[13:31] Bring your hands over to your heart
[13:32] [music] center or your third eye.
[13:36] Bring the hands down.
[13:38] Tuck your toes, lift it up.
[13:42] Extend into pyramid.
[13:45] Inhale, come forward.
[13:48] Exhale, extend and release for two.
[13:51] Inhale, come forward.
[13:53] >> [music]
[13:54] >> Exhale, extend for three.
[13:58] Come forward.
[14:00] Exhale for [music] four.
[14:03] Hold it here, breathe, square the hips
[14:05] out to pull that right hip back, push
[14:07] the left [music] hip forward.
[14:10] And then bend the back knee, come
[14:11] forward releasing into a seated spinal
[14:14] twist, suppling that knee into your
[14:16] chest, look over your shoulder.
[14:18] Deep breathing.
[14:21] Exhale out.
[14:25] >> [music]
[14:33] >> Back to center and then step that left
[14:36] foot back into your lunge, back into
[14:38] [music] plank and flow it out
[14:40] chaturanga.
[14:42] Inhale upward facing dog.
[14:45] Exhale downward facing dog, breathe it
[14:47] out.
[14:51] >> [music]
[14:51] >> Inhale, lift the heels, bend your knees,
[14:54] hop to the front. Come on up halfway.
[14:57] Exhale, fold. [music]
[14:59] Inhale, stand up tall, reach your arms
[15:01] up.
[15:02] Exhale, hands back down into samasthiti.
[15:06] Let's do that again. Inhale, reach up,
[15:08] look back.
[15:09] >> [music]
[15:10] >> Exhale, bow down into forward fold.
[15:13] Inhale, halfway lift. Exhale, take two
[15:16] steps back, plank, chaturanga.
[15:19] Upward facing dog on your inhale.
[15:23] Exhale, downward facing dog.
[15:26] >> [music]
[15:27] >> Beautiful, lift the heels, come back
[15:30] into high plank, and now let's shift to
[15:32] side plank on your right side.
[15:35] Reach your hand up to the sky, hold and
[15:38] breathe.
[15:39] >> [music]
[15:40] >> Either stay here or come into a tree
[15:42] variation by bringing the foot to the
[15:43] inside of your inner thigh.
[15:46] Or you can come into a full star if you
[15:48] like to take that option as well.
[15:52] >> [music]
[15:55] >> Beautiful, come back now to center, both
[15:58] hands onto the mat.
[16:00] >> [music]
[16:00] >> And then step your left foot to the
[16:01] front, drop your right knee, reach your
[16:04] arms up into your low lunge. Making sure
[16:07] the front knee's on top of your ankle,
[16:09] bend your elbows, palms together.
[16:12] Breathe it in.
[16:15] >> [music]
[16:15] >> Exhale, release your hands.
[16:18] Tuck your toes, lift it up.
[16:21] Extend into pyramid for one.
[16:24] Inhale.
[16:27] Exhale, push back for two.
[16:31] Inhale.
[16:33] Exhale, push back [music] for three, one
[16:35] more time.
[16:39] Exhale, [music] push back for four.
[16:43] Beautiful, hold it here.
[16:47] >> [music]
[16:50] >> And then back to center.
[16:53] And when you're ready,
[16:55] bring that back knee forward, ground it
[16:58] into your twisted seat.
[17:01] Good, bring your knee into your chest.
[17:04] The other hand is next to your body as
[17:06] you look over your shoulder.
[17:07] >> [music]
[17:08] >> Inhale.
[17:11] Exhale out. [music]
[17:15] Back to center.
[17:17] Push. Extend. Step back.
[17:20] >> [music]
[17:21] >> Back into plank. Chaturanga.
[17:24] Upward facing dog. Inhale.
[17:27] Exhale. Push back. Downward facing dog.
[17:32] Inhale. Lift the heels. Bend your knees.
[17:35] Exhale. Meet me back in child's pose.
[17:38] Reaching your forehead down. Maybe bring
[17:40] your arms [music] next to your body if
[17:42] that feels better. Closing your eyes and
[17:45] just allowing yourself to go back in
[17:47] into the depth of your heart. Into that
[17:49] connection [music] within you.
[17:51] Breathing deeply and gently.
[17:56] >> [music]
[17:57] >> And then slowly come up to seated. Reach
[17:59] your arms up.
[18:02] And then exhale. Bring the hands over to
[18:03] your heart center or your third eye.
[18:06] And taking a moment to send gratitude
[18:08] [music] to yourself. Your amazing
[18:10] practice today for flowing, for
[18:12] breathing,
[18:13] and for gifting yourself the opportunity
[18:15] to connect deeper with your soul's
[18:17] essence.
[18:18] From my heart to yours, thank you so
[18:20] much for joining me here.
[18:21] >> [music]
[18:21] >> Namaste.
[18:28] >> [music]
[18:33] [music]
[18:41] [music]
