Radical Love: From Separation to Connection with Ourselves, Each Other, and the Living World

Radical Love is a five-day immersive residential spiritual workshop at Schumacher College in Newton Abbot, South Devon. It is centred on a movement from separation toward connection: with ourselves, with each other, and with the living world. It suits anyone drawn to exploring love as a way of relating to self, community and the natural world, within a setting devoted to ecological and transdisciplinary learning.

What to Expect

The course runs over five days as a residential gathering, so participants share the whole stretch of time together rather than dropping in for a single session. The theme moves through three relationships in turn: the one we have with ourselves, the ones we have with other people, and the one we have with the wider living world. The organizer does not publish a day-by-day schedule or session times, so the specific practices and facilitators are best confirmed with the college directly.

The Setting

Schumacher College is an ecological and transdisciplinary centre near Totnes, in South Devon. Its focus on ecology and interconnection suits a course about moving from separation to connection.

You can take a residential place with either a single room or a shared room. A non-residential place is also available, and it includes lunches and dinners. Residential guests stay on site for the duration of the course.

Before You Go

No prerequisites or prior experience are stated, and the course is taught in English.

A residential place includes full access to the course along with your choice of single or shared accommodation. A non-residential place includes full access to the course plus lunches and dinners, but not accommodation or breakfasts, so non-residential participants should plan their own mornings and lodging nearby.
