Descrizione
The R&R Retreat is a short rest-and-renewal retreat at Sedona Mago Center for Well-being and Retreat, set among the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. It is for anyone who needs long-overdue rest and wants a few quiet days away, staying in a private casita at a Sedona retreat center that has offered a place for healing for nearly 30 years. The retreat runs for a long weekend of two nights.
What to Expect
The retreat is built around rest and recharging rather than a packed schedule. Sedona Mago's programs generally combine guided meditation and mindful movement rooted in Eastern traditions with time in nature, and the center's teaching centers on Tao healing methods, Qigong and meditation. The aim across its retreats is practical tools for everyday life: greater awareness, balance and connection.
A fixed daily schedule and session times are not set out for this retreat, so come expecting a restorative stay in the quiet of the desert landscape and not a program of intensive instruction.
About Sedona Mago Center for Well-being and Retreat
Sedona Mago Center for Well-being and Retreat is a 173-acre spiritual retreat center among Sedona's red rocks. It is owned and operated by Tao Fellowship, a 501(c)(3) non-denominational nonprofit, and works from the mission "Love Humanity, Love the Earth." Its programs range from weekend meditation and chakra healing to longer retreats such as Finding True Self, the Sedona Wellness Retreat, the Revitalizing Detox Retreat and a vortex healing retreat.
The Setting
The center sits at the end of Bill Gray Road in Sedona, on grounds that include a healing lake, a meditation labyrinth and walking paths. Guests of this retreat stay in private casitas, which suit a weekend of solitude and quiet. Sedona Mago's retreats offer nourishing pescatarian meals alongside accommodations and time in nature.
Before You Go
No prior experience with meditation or Qigong is described as a requirement, and the center's retreats are open to people arriving with a wide range of backgrounds. Bring comfortable clothing for walking the grounds and for gentle movement, and plan to leave the pace of ordinary life behind.
The center notes that its instruction and advice are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological care, and that guests should not stop or change any medication without approval from their healthcare professional.
