Start: 2027-03-25T00:00:00.000Z
Location: VA Beach Headquarters

Question 1

Where in Virginia Beach is Gallery Style Mediumship – Whiskers Between Worlds held?

Accepted Answer

The event is listed at the VA Beach Headquarters, the A.R.E. (Edgar Cayce's Association for Research & Enlightenment) home base in Virginia Beach. The organizer's listing gives no room name, parking details or accessibility notes, so check those with A.R.E. before you go.

Question 2

Who is John Van Auken, and what is his background?

Accepted Answer

John Van Auken is an internationally renowned speaker, a long-time A.R.E. staff member and a current A.R.E. director. He also leads A.R.E.'s tours to sacred sites around the world. He is known for his knowledge of the Edgar Cayce readings, the Bible, ancient Egypt mysticism, world religions and meditation.

Question 3

Why does the title say "Whiskers" when similar events say "Whispers Between Worlds"?

Accepted Answer

The organizer's calendar lists this Virginia Beach event as "Whiskers Between Worlds" and other evenings in the series as "Whispers Between Worlds." The listing doesn't explain the difference. It may be a typo or a themed variation, so confirm with A.R.E. if the theme matters to you.

Question 4

What will the evening actually involve?

Accepted Answer

The listing names the format as "Gallery Style Mediumship" but doesn't describe how the evening is run. It doesn't say whether individual messages are promised or how they are delivered. Go in open to the experience without expecting a personal reading.

Question 5

Is there a John Van Auken book worth reading before attending?

Accepted Answer

His best-known title is Toward a Deeper Meditation, and it's a good fit if you want to understand how he approaches inner stillness and attunement. His teaching draws on the Edgar Cayce readings, so that background helps if you're new to the A.R.E. world. Reading it is optional, as the event listing doesn't require any preparation.

Question 6

Who is this evening likely to suit, and who might it not suit?

Accepted Answer

It suits people drawn to the Cayce tradition, spiritual exploration or the idea of communication beyond death. It may not suit anyone who wants a private, guaranteed one-on-one reading, since the listing promises neither. Anyone looking for a scientific or skeptical analysis of mediumship may also find it a poor fit.

Question 7

How do I get tickets or register?

Accepted Answer

The event appears among the featured events on A.R.E.'s Edgar Cayce Events page, where you can find its listing and registration. The material provided doesn't give a ticket price or say whether it is sold out. Check the listing for current availability or contact A.R.E. directly.
