Descrizione

The Mini Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) is a week-long introduction to regenerative living, offered by the Findhorn Foundation at the Park Ecovillage Findhorn. It is a spiritual retreat for people who care deeply about the world they live in and want to learn how that care can become a way of living, not only a concern.

It suits anyone drawn to ecovillage life, ecological care or community living who wants to try these ideas in practice. The programme is a shorter, accessible format of the ecovillage design education approach, and it is one of the Signature programmes the Findhorn Foundation runs at the Park.

What to Expect

The week is built around three strands that inform one another.

The first is community life. Rather than studying an ecovillage from a distance, you spend the week inside one, and experience how people live, work and make decisions together.

The second is practical. The Mini EDE looks at approaches to ecological care and at local economies, asking what it takes for a place and its people to sustain each other. The emphasis is on ways of living that regenerate, not only reduce harm.

The third is inner. The programme explores how inner listening can inspire change in your own life. This is where the Findhorn Foundation's spiritual orientation shows most clearly: outer action is understood to grow from a quieter attentiveness to what matters to you and what is asking to be done.

Together these make the week as much a personal reflection as a course in sustainable design. You are invited to look at the systems around you and at your own part in them, with enough time to let the ideas settle.

The Setting

The Mini EDE takes place at the Park Ecovillage Findhorn, home to the Findhorn Foundation community. Being based in a living community is central to the programme. The place itself, with its daily rhythms and the people who live and work there, is part of what you learn from.

Who It Is For

The programme is open to anyone curious about regenerative ways of living. If you have wondered what an ecovillage is like from the inside, how local economies can work differently, or how your inner life and your outer choices connect, this week offers a grounded place to explore those questions.
