Descrizione
Leela Yoga Lifestyle in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, offers a Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour yoga teacher training spread across eight immersive weekends over six months. It is open to students who want to deepen a personal practice and to those who hope to lead classes, and it is rooted in the spirit of Leela, or Divine Play. The training is led by Allie Zuber and Brittnee Castille, with a faculty of four experienced teachers.
What to Expect
Each of the eight weekends follows the same rhythm: Friday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The spacing lets you absorb what you learn and fold it into everyday life between sessions, rather than stepping away from it for weeks at a time.
The curriculum blends traditional yogic wisdom with modern teaching methodology. On the practice and teaching side, you work through Sun Salutations, standing asana, backbends, seated asana and inversions, taking each apart to understand how it is built and taught. You also study basic pranayama and bandha, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, sequencing, meditation, Reiki and sound bath, and the art of assisting.
The lecture and study side covers the history of yoga, yoga ethics, yogic philosophy, ancient texts, Ayurveda, the energetics of yoga, anatomy, pranayama and meditation, and yoga business. The aim is to help you teach from a place that is truly your own.
Your Teachers
Allie Zuber is the Lead Trainer and Program Director, as well as Leela's founder. She teaches Restorative Yoga and helps weave the parts of the training together into one supportive course of study.
Brittnee Castille is a Lead Trainer who guides asana, sequencing and the art of teaching. A 500-hour certified yoga teacher, she is rooted in Vinyasa and Ashtanga and known for intuitive sequencing and thoughtful hands-on assists. She helps students learn not only what to teach but how to guide others with confidence and presence.
Caroline Charbonnet teaches Yin Yoga. She is a 500-hour yoga teacher who brings together Yin and Ayurveda, showing how practice can be adapted to support the whole person and the changing seasons of life.
Natalie Lenard teaches Yoga Anatomy. She has taught yoga since 2013, holds a 500-hour certification, and completed her advanced training at Leela. She is also Chair of Biology at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, and she bridges science and embodied practice so that students learn to teach safely and intelligently.
Before You Go
The training is pitched at an intermediate level. The application asks whether you have practiced consistently for at least six months, and it is written to get to know you and hear what draws you to this path, with no perfect answers expected. The training is taught in English.
Tuition includes six months of teacher training, all classroom instruction and training materials, and an unlimited Leela membership that begins as soon as your deposit is received. A payment plan with customized monthly options is available, and the full balance must be paid by June 2027 to receive your 200-hour certification.
