Why Your Business Isn't Growing: Know Your Numbers First

Natalia Benson opens the second episode of her Venus Rx to Biz Rx series with a claim many soulful entrepreneurs would rather avoid: a business cannot grow if its owner does not know its numbers. Speaking to women who run their own businesses, she treats money avoidance not as a personality quirk but as a ceiling on income and impact. The talk moves from her own late education in finance, through a three-offers thought experiment, to a method for working out what a business must earn to cover both its costs and the lifestyle it is meant to support. It closes with an invitation to diagnose why income has plateaued. It works less like a pep talk than a working session, and it rewards anyone willing to pause the video and do the arithmetic alongside her.

Why won't your business grow if you don't know your numbers?

The episode begins with a bluntness that is easy to skim past. "If you don't have like a healthy relationship to numbers, I don't know how your business is going to survive," Benson says near the start (0:00). It is not a lecture about spreadsheets. It is a claim about what happens when a person builds something and never looks directly at what it costs or what it returns.

The episode's origin story is itself useful. Benson describes a breathwork session with Francesca Sitma, after which she was prompted to ask what her next move should be. What came through, she says, was a directive to stop avoiding "the boring stuff, which is financial organization" (1:57). She then reframes the problem in a way that will land with many readers. Growth is not simply a matter of wanting more clients or more visibility. In her telling, the question an inner voice might ask is why more would be piled on a person who is not yet stewarding what she already has.

That framing matters. It moves the conversation from willpower ("hustle harder") to stewardship ("manage what exists"). A business that is not tracked is a business whose owner cannot tell whether a new offer will help or quietly drain her. Benson's point is that growth without that visibility is guesswork dressed up as ambition.

How did a self-described non-numbers person learn to handle money?

Benson does not present herself as a natural. She says it "eventually finally freaking clicked" and that it "took me till I was 31 years old" (0:00). She taught herself, and she is clear about why. "I want freedom and I want impact," she says (0:15). Her reasoning ties the financial work to the work itself: she describes herself as an Aries with a Sagittarius moon and says that if she wanted to keep doing what she loved, she had to become savvy about how she handled her finances and her business.

The path she describes has three steps that apply well beyond astrology. First, get honest about what is actually happening. Second, name what you do not feel good at. Third, find people who can help you get good at the parts you are not good at. "I had to get honest about what was going on, what I didn't feel good at, and find people who could help me get good at what I wasn't good at," she says (0:44). That last step is an explicit permission to delegate without shame.

She also speaks candidly about where her fear came from. She describes her relationship to money as scarcity-driven and credits her father, whom she describes as a CFO and who "was so afraid of doing without," with instilling much of that fear (6:46). Her mother, who worked in corporate, and her grandparents on her mother's side, who she says were especially good at teaching, shaped her too. Benson says she does not blame her parents for the fear anymore. She describes her own temperament as more right-brained, which she believes is why the numbers did not come naturally to her and why she had to build the skill deliberately.

"You're a numbers person. This is all a learnable skill." — Natalia Benson, in the video at 8:47

That line is the hinge of the episode. Benson's argument is that "I'm not a numbers person" is an identity claim that quietly protects a person from work she could do. Reframe it as a skill, and the question changes from "am I capable?" to "what do I need to learn next?"

What does your business actually need to earn?

The most practically useful section of the video is its insistence that "I want to make more money" is not a financial goal. "That is not enough," Benson argues. "What does your business actually need to make?" (4:32 region of the talk). She admits that for a long time she believed she needed to earn an exorbitant amount to feel safe (2:57). When she finally got honest, the number she had been chasing was not the number her life required.

Her core reasoning is that most women who build businesses are after a quality of life rather than sheer scale. "I have a business because I want time freedom and time spaciousness," she says in describing what she wants from her work (3:29). If that is the goal, then the business should be sized to fund that life, not to inflate for its own sake. "The way to cultivate a healthy, powerful, peace inducing, feminine quality of life is literally by knowing your numbers," she says, adding that the business needs a designated space for its finances to exist.

From there she breaks the work into three pieces, which is the most actionable structure in the episode:

  • Expenses: what it costs to run the business and to live the life you want.
  • Personal pay: what you want to pay yourself to fund that lifestyle.
  • Revenue targets: what the business must generate to cover the first two, with room to spare.

Her caution is the most abundance-minded moment in the talk. "You might think, I need this certain number, but when you really get down to it, you could be right or you could be way off. You could need less," she says (4:00). Many people do not know their real figure, and the vague fear of "not enough" tends to inflate it. A specific number, even an uncomfortable one, is easier to plan around than a feeling.

What happens when you reduce your business to three offers?

The episode's signature exercise is a thought experiment. Benson asks listeners to imagine that they are making money through only three offers, and then asks what those three would be (4:32). She is explicit that the answer should come from desire rather than from a calculation of what seems possible. "I don't want to hear what you think's possible in this moment. I just want to hear from your heart, from your desire, what you actually want," she says.

She offers examples to get the mind moving: a lot of one-on-one coaching, a one-to-many offer, or digital passive income. The question is not which is best in the abstract. It is which one a person would actually want to build around, and that choice then becomes the input for the numbers. Once you have three offers in mind, the revenue target from the previous section becomes concrete. How many clients per offer, at what price, and how often? The exercise connects the vision to the math, which is why it sits right before the revenue discussion.

Benson frames this within Venus retrograde, a period she describes as one for getting honest about what we value and the current state of our business and money. Readers do not need to share that frame to use the exercise. The underlying move is simple: a smaller set of offers is easier to forecast, easier to price, and easier to track than a sprawling catalog that nobody can model.

How do you make clearer money decisions from abundance rather than fear?

The episode's description promises decisions "driven by abundance, not scarcity," and the body of the talk delivers that through Benson's own example. Her point is that once you know your numbers, decisions get clearer. A purchase, a hire, a new program, or a price change can be measured against a target instead of against a free-floating anxiety. Fear tends to make people either overspend to feel secure or refuse every investment. A known number lets you say yes or no with information.

This is also why she ties the financial work to emotional health rather than treating it as a separate discipline. She describes her money relationship as having been shaped by fear she inherited, and she argues that a healthy relationship with money is needed "now more than ever," as she puts it in the episode's framing. The implication is that avoidance is not neutral. It is a decision made by default, usually in the direction of fear.

What should you do if you want to move beyond your current income level?

The last stretch of the episode moves from principle to practice. Benson says she wants to invite listeners who feel stuck on an income plateau to examine their business with a simple diagnostic, so they know exactly what their current income level is and what would be required to break past it (13:23). The steps she points toward are straightforward: name your three offers, establish your expense and personal pay figures, set a revenue target, and then look honestly at the gap between where the business is and where it needs to be.

She also signals that the work is iterative. She refers to continuing the series and to listeners taking a single simple strategy and a single simple action from the episode, rather than trying to overhaul everything at once. The tone is consistent throughout: get clear, get specific, and make the next decision from that clarity.

The episode announces a live session as part of its follow-through. Benson notes a Money Organized Business Expanded Masterclass on November 12, which is positioned as a continuation of the diagnostics she describes. Readers who want more structure than a single video can offer may find it useful, though the core method stands on its own.

Where to go from here

The most valuable way to use this episode is to treat it as a worksheet. Pause the video at the three-offers question and write down your answers without editing them for practicality. Then list your business expenses and your personal pay separately, because Benson's framework depends on keeping those two distinct. Calculate the revenue your three offers would need to produce to cover both. If the number feels impossibly large, check whether it is the real number or the inherited fear talking, since Benson's own experience suggests the figure is often lower than people assume. Finally, identify one person or resource that can help with the part of the work you do not feel good at, which is the step she considers most likely to get people unstuck. Numbers are not a personality trait. As Benson puts it, they are a learnable skill, and the time to learn them is before the plateau becomes permanent.

[0:00] If you don't have like a healthy

[0:02] relationship to numbers, I don't know

[0:04] how your business is going to survive.

[0:06] Respectfully, eventually it finally

[0:09] freaking clicked. It took me till I was

[0:11] 31 years old. It's never too late. And I

[0:15] taught myself how to be good with

[0:16] numbers. Why? Because I want freedom and

[0:20] I want impact. And I finally figured

[0:22] out, especially as an Aries with the

[0:24] Sagge moon, that if I wanted to continue

[0:27] on doing what it is that I want to do, I

[0:29] better get savvy and smart about what it

[0:33] is that I'm doing with my finances, how

[0:35] I'm taking care of the business. I had

[0:37] to get honest about what was going on,

[0:40] what I didn't feel good at, and find

[0:42] people who could help me get [music]

[0:44] good at what I wasn't good at.

[1:26] enjoying the episode and hit subscribe.

[1:28] Thank you. Okay, my angels, welcome back

[1:31] to our Venus RX Business RX series here

[1:35] on Natalyia Benson the podcast. I am of

[1:38] course your host Natalyia Benson and we

[1:41] are going to be talking about you're not

[1:43] growing because you don't know your

[1:45] numbers. Now I want you to really lock

[1:49] in for this episode babes and I had a

[1:52] really powerful experience inside of

[1:54] Francesca Sitma's hypno breath work. Uh

[1:57] she actually interviewed me for her

[1:59] podcast and then she did a breath work

[2:03] uh session with me. It was very powerful

[2:06] and as soon as I was coming out of it,

[2:08] she literally prompts you of like what

[2:10] is your next move? What are like what is

[2:12] the thing that you need to do to really

[2:14] move forward? And what came through for

[2:17] me is like Natalia, you need to not be

[2:20] afraid to literally talk about the

[2:24] boring stuff which is financial

[2:26] organization.

[2:27] A lot of us don't realize we are not

[2:30] growing because the universe is like,

[2:33] "Why would I pile more onto her plate?

[2:36] Why would I give her more clients? Why

[2:38] would I give her more visibility? Why

[2:40] would I give her more money when she

[2:43] isn't stewarding what it is that she

[2:45] already has?" So, here's the thing. I

[2:48] want to make more money is not enough.

[2:50] What does your business actually need to

[2:53] make? A lot of times, and this was true

[2:55] for me for quite a while, I used to

[2:57] think that in order to feel safe, I

[3:00] needed to be making this exorbitant

[3:02] amount of money. And when I really got

[3:05] honest, what is the core? Cuz here's the

[3:08] thing. What are my core numbers? I have

[3:10] a business because I want time freedom

[3:13] and time spaciousness. That is why I

[3:16] think so many soulful women want to have

[3:20] businesses. We want to have businesses

[3:22] because not because we want to run and

[3:24] scale a gigantic business. That's I

[3:27] don't know that for many of us that's

[3:28] really the goal and the purpose. If it

[3:30] is, I love that for you and I'd love to

[3:32] learn more about just your your

[3:34] reasoning. So, you can DM me about it.

[3:36] But I think that no matter what, we want

[3:39] to have businesses because we want a

[3:41] certain quality of life. The way to

[3:43] cultivate a healthy, powerful, peace

[3:47] inducing, feminine quality of life is

[3:50] literally by knowing your numbers. It's

[3:53] having a space in place for your

[3:55] business's finances to exist. So, you

[3:59] might think, I need this certain number,

[4:02] but when you really get down to it, you

[4:05] could be right or you could be way off.

[4:08] You could need less. And the thing to

[4:11] ask, and this kind of goes back to our

[4:13] first episode in this series, when you

[4:16] think about it, what specifically if I

[4:20] were to simplify my business, what would

[4:23] I love to be doing if I were making

[4:26] money through only three offers? If I

[4:29] were only making money through three

[4:30] offers in my business, what would those

[4:32] three offers be? I'm going to be quiet

[4:35] for a minute. if you were only making

[4:36] money through three offers. And I don't

[4:39] want to hear what you think's possible

[4:40] in this moment. I just want to hear I

[4:43] wish I could hear you. I just want to

[4:45] hear from your heart, from your desire,

[4:47] what you actually want. Where would you

[4:50] want to be making money through? What

[4:52] three offers? Would it be a lot of

[4:54] coaching? Would it be a one to many

[4:57] offer? Would it be digital passive? So,

[4:59] I want you just to let that bubble up.

[5:02] Where are you making money? Where do you

[5:04] actually want to be making money from?

[5:06] I'm going to be quiet for just a minute

[5:09] because keep in mind during Venus

[5:11] retrograde, we're getting honest. We're

[5:14] asking ourselves deeper questions about

[5:16] what we value, what the current state of

[5:19] our business is, what the current state

[5:21] of our money is. And a core thing my

[5:24] loves from the simplified business

[5:27] structure, simplified offers, simplified

[5:30] system ecosystem,

[5:32] we want to now take a look at the most

[5:35] important piece of the puzzle is what

[5:37] are your numbers? What could you

[5:40] comfortably make that covers your

[5:42] expenses both for the business and for

[5:45] your lifestyle? What would those three

[5:48] offers need to be generating? So this is

[5:51] where we have to know our expenses. This

[5:53] is where we have to know what we want to

[5:55] pay ourselves for our lifestyle. And

[5:57] this is where we want to know what our

[5:59] revenue targets would be. Now here's the

[6:01] thing, something I just want to like add

[6:03] in here. When you know your numbers, you

[6:07] make clearer money making decisions. one

[6:10] of my deepest just ex it's an excitement

[6:15] for me in this life and I god I almost

[6:19] don't even know how this happened

[6:20] because I just used to be so

[6:23] so I mean literally like I don't want to

[6:26] sound dramatic but when it came to money

[6:28] I was slightly

[6:30] I don't know if I want to use this word

[6:32] but I'm just going to use it I felt

[6:34] destitute when it came to my

[6:35] relationship to money it was so

[6:38] scarcitydriven because God bless my dad.

[6:41] He's passed on now as you babes know,

[6:43] but he put the fear of God in me when it

[6:46] came to money. He was so afraid of doing

[6:49] without. And he scared me so much

[6:52] throughout my life. I also had a lot of

[6:55] beautiful support in my family too from

[6:57] my grandparents specifically on my mom's

[6:59] side where they just really like they

[7:01] wanted to teach me. I think cuz my

[7:03] parents and I think this can be true for

[7:05] parents to grandparents if you're

[7:07] fortunate enough to like have your

[7:08] grandparents in your life, but I feel

[7:10] like grandparents get kind of the fun

[7:12] job because

[7:14] your parents have to like make sure

[7:16] they're like instilling certain things

[7:18] in you. So, I don't blame my mom and dad

[7:20] for any of the fear. Not anymore anyway.

[7:24] I've worked through a lot of that. I

[7:25] don't blame them for the fear. They were

[7:27] afraid for me cuz they just couldn't

[7:29] figure out why I didn't get this stuff.

[7:31] They like my dad especially being a CFO.

[7:34] My mom is very intelligent. She worked

[7:35] in corporate. So, they just didn't

[7:37] understand that I was more of this like

[7:39] right brain kind of person and that I

[7:42] just didn't really get it. And so,

[7:44] here's the thing. If you're a woman who

[7:46] makes money or wants to make more

[7:48] [music] of it, but still feels

[7:49] overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how

[7:52] to actually lead your finances, I

[7:55] created Magical Women and Money just for

[7:57] you. MWM is where money meets self-rust,

[8:17] shame, pressure, or feeling like you're

[8:19] behind. [music] This is a personal

[8:23] works. It's grounded, empowering money

[8:25] work for women that feels approachable

[8:27] and soulful. Join the weight list for

[8:29] magical women and money membership. MWM.

[8:32] The link is in the show notes.

[8:36] Teaching yourself this stuff. I don't

[8:38] care if you're making five figures, six

[8:40] figures, seven figures, or beyond. Stop

[8:43] telling yourself that you're not a

[8:44] numbers person. You're a numbers person.

[8:47] This is all a learnable skill. And if

[8:50] you want to have a sustainable impact

[8:52] and you want to have a sustainable

[8:54] lifestyle, you need to be good at this

[8:57] stuff in your business. It's a

[8:59] non-negotiable. And I say this

[9:01] passionately because I just want more of

[9:03] us who are soulful, impactful, want good

[9:07] through our work. You need to know how

[9:09] to take care of your freaking money,

[9:11] babe. You just do. And it's a it's a

[9:13] non-negotiable, especially with where

[9:15] the world is going and how much there is

[9:18] likely going to continue to be income

[9:20] discrepancies in the systems that we're

[9:23] living in. We need a healthy

[9:25] relationship to money more than ever.

[9:28] And we need a healthy relationship to

[9:30] earning. We need a healthy relationship

[9:32] to stewardship. We need a healthy

[9:35] relationship to visibility. We need a

[9:37] healthy relationship to our throat

[9:39] chakra, to our solar plexus, to our

[9:42] sacral, to our root. Like we're going to

[9:44] go into continue to go through really

[9:46] potent times and we need to be equipped

[9:50] and it's very very important. And so

[9:52] that's why I get really like passionate

[9:54] about this stuff. And I know that I've

[9:56] talked to you about this before, but

[9:58] just know that if you don't have like a

[10:01] healthy relationship to numbers, I don't

[10:03] know how your business is going to

[10:05] survive. respectfully. I don't know how

[10:07] your impact is going to really make it.

[10:10] So, this needs to get serious because

[10:13] even though my mom and dad were pretty

[10:15] hard on me about this stuff, eventually

[10:17] it finally freaking clicked. It took me

[10:19] till I was 31 years old. It's never too

[10:22] late. And I taught myself how to be good

[10:25] with numbers. Why? Because I want

[10:28] freedom and I want impact. And I finally

[10:31] figured out, especially as an Aries with

[10:33] the Sagge moon, that if I wanted to

[10:35] continue on doing what it is that I want

[10:37] to do, I better get savvy and smart

[10:41] about what it is that I'm doing with my

[10:43] finances, how I'm taking care of the

[10:45] business, what it is that I'm doing from

[10:48] a financial perspective and a business

[10:50] strategy perspective, which is what I'm

[10:51] talking to you about in this Venus RX

[10:53] series. I had to get honest about what

[10:57] was going on, what I didn't feel good

[10:59] at, and find people who could help me

[11:01] get good at what I wasn't good at. And

[11:05] I'm speaking to you a little bit

[11:06] passionately and a little bit of my

[11:08] Aries fire because some of you might

[11:10] really need it and you're dragging your

[11:13] feet on doing things that you quote

[11:15] unquote don't think you're great at, but

[11:17] you need to get good at this and then

[11:19] you'll grow. you really really will

[11:20] because you have to show you can manage

[11:22] and take care of what it is that you

[11:24] have. So Venus is retrograde in Scorpio

[11:28] right now. It's going to move back into

[11:30] Libra here soon with this series. And so

[11:33] here is the question I have for you from

[11:35] the Venus RX in Scorpio. Scorpio as an

[11:38] archetype is truth baby. Like Scorpios,

[11:42] I actually always joke that my biggest

[11:44] flex in life is when Scorpio suns,

[11:47] Scorpio risings or Scorpio moons give me

[11:50] a reflection that they connect with me

[11:53] because they can feel the congruency.

[11:56] And I haven't always been like this, by

[11:57] the way. Especially when I've had tough

[11:59] seasons and I have not I've been

[12:03] disassociated. I'm sure I felt very

[12:05] inongruent, especially after my dad

[12:07] died, especially after my divorce. that

[12:10] matured me and grounded me in a way that

[12:14] has transformed my life. And so getting

[12:17] that reflection from my Scorpios is

[12:19] powerful. So just using that as an

[12:21] example, Scorpio energy doesn't like

[12:23] small talk because Scorpio energy can't

[12:26] handle At least healthy

[12:28] Scorpio energy doesn't like BS. It

[12:30] doesn't like when we are disconnected

[12:33] from truth and we're just skating on the

[12:35] surface. One of my best friends is Leo

[12:38] Max. That man does not allow me to skimp

[12:42] on the surface. He just doesn't. When

[12:44] I'm like that, we're there for two

[12:46] seconds. He doesn't let me. And it's

[12:48] beautiful. All of my best friends, my

[12:50] Scorpio friends, they hold that deep

[12:52] resonance. Now, here's why I bring this

[12:54] up for Venus RX and Scorpio because you

[12:56] need to ask yourself a deeply personal

[12:59] and deeply important question. What is

[13:02] your money actually showing you right

[13:04] now? What is your business actually

[13:07] showing you right now? Do not be afraid

[13:10] of the answer. There is a solution.

[13:13] There is a solution. Let's talk about

[13:15] one solution that I have for you and

[13:17] then we'll close up this episode. If you

[13:20] know that your business is capable of

[13:22] making more money, but you've hit an

[13:23] income plateau, I want to invite you to

[13:26] Money Organized Business Expanded, my

[13:28] live Venus retrograde master class for

[13:31] entrepreneurs. Together, we'll identify

[13:33] what's keeping your income stuck and

[13:35] create a clear plan to move beyond your

[13:38] current income level so you know exactly

[13:41] what needs to change to make more. It's

[13:43] happening live Thursday, November 12th,

[13:46] and your ticket includes my instant AI

[13:48] guide, the live master class, and a Q&A

[13:51] with me. Join me at the link in the show

[13:53] notes, and let's break through your

[13:55] current income plateau together. Now,

[13:58] here's something also very powerful

[14:00] about this specific master class, babes.

[14:03] We're going to get together. We're going

[14:04] to be very, very handson. We're going to

[14:07] give your business a simple diagnostic,

[14:10] very Venus retrograde coded of what the

[14:13] heck is going on under the hood. Where

[14:16] are you at? If you want to grow, if you

[14:19] want to be in a completely different

[14:21] place within the next 6 months, utilize

[14:24] this time powerfully. Let's work

[14:27] together. Let's get into action and give

[14:30] yourself a simple diagnostic. Where have

[14:32] I plateaued and why? And then we're

[14:35] going to have one clear path on how to

[14:37] make a change. In this master class, I

[14:40] will also have a very special

[14:43] opportunity to join me inside of MWM.

[14:45] Now, something I haven't shared with you

[14:47] babes just yet. I worked tirelessly over

[14:51] this last year, most specifically over

[14:53] the last 6 months to build out a allnew,

[14:57] highly simplified MWM, personal finance

[15:02] meets astrology portal. It's simple.

[15:06] It's effective. Why? I talked to you

[15:08] about it in episode one of this series.

[15:11] Simple wins. Simple wins. Simple wins in

[15:15] your strategy. Simple wins in your

[15:16] finances. simple wins in your offers. If

[15:20] you are in a habit of over complicating

[15:22] the heck out of things, then you need to

[15:24] come work with your Aries mentor and let

[15:27] me help and support you in simplifying

[15:30] so you can be more effective. You can

[15:32] move past this income plateau and you

[15:34] can be in a completely new and

[15:37] uplevelled space over the next 6 months.

[15:40] So, make sure to grab your ticket for

[15:42] money organized business expanded. I

[15:45] can't wait to see you inside. And I'm

[15:47] going to go ahead and land this episode.

[15:50] And I just want you to know, my loves,

[15:52] so for our final episode for this

[15:54] series, we are going to be talking about

[15:56] your business isn't set up to hold more.

[16:00] I want to get into some of the

[16:01] diagnostics. Why is your business in the

[16:05] place and space where it doesn't feel

[16:07] equipped to hold more? We're going to

[16:09] talk about that in the final episode of

[16:11] this series. And I want you to also

[16:14] think about the master class as your

[16:16] continuation of this series, your actual

[16:18] hands-on time with me to support you in

[16:21] moving the needle, making the important

[16:24] improvements, and we can utilize this

[16:26] internal energy of getting to know

[16:29] what's going on, where is the gap, and

[16:32] what simple strategy, what simple action

[16:36] do I need to do to actually move forward

[16:38] and make a change? You are worth the

[16:41] change. you are worth the shift. And I

[16:44] always say if and when you find a mentor

[16:47] who you feel connected to, you trust,

[16:49] you like what they've created, lean in.

[16:52] And especially with this master class,

[16:54] my loves, highly, highly accessible,

[16:57] very, very low investment for your

[17:00] business, extremely low, and highly

[17:03] worth it. We are going to get more done

[17:05] in 90 minutes than maybe you've gotten

[17:07] done in all of 2026. I love you. I will

[17:10] see you in the final episode. Thank you

[17:12] as always for your time, for your trust.

[17:15] I love you. I'm proud of you. I'll see

[17:17] you in the next and final episode of the

[17:19] series. [music]

Natalia Benson argues that growth without financial visibility is guesswork, because you cannot tell whether a new client, offer, or expense will help or drain the business. She frames knowing your numbers as stewardship of what you already have, which must come before asking for more clients or visibility.
Benson breaks the calculation into three parts: what it costs to run the business and your lifestyle, what you want to pay yourself, and the revenue target needed to cover both with room to spare. She cautions that people often assume they need more than they actually do, so a specific figure is better than a vague sense of needing a lot.
Imagine your business earns money through only three offers, and identify what those three would be, based on what you genuinely want rather than what seems possible right now. Examples she gives include heavy one-on-one coaching, a one-to-many offer, or digital passive income. Once chosen, those offers become the basis for calculating your revenue targets.
Yes, according to Benson, who says she taught herself and did not feel naturally good with numbers until her thirties. She reframes numeracy as a learnable skill and encourages people to stop identifying as non-numbers people, while also finding help for the parts they do not feel good at.
Benson suggests that knowing your real numbers makes decisions clearer, because a purchase, hire, or price change can be measured against a target rather than against anxiety. She ties this to healthy money relationships, noting that avoidance usually means fear is making the decision by default.
Benson recommends a simple diagnostic: confirm your current income level, define your three offers, set expense and personal pay figures, and calculate the revenue target. Then look at the gap between your current numbers and what is required to break through, and take one simple strategy and one action at a time.
