When Spirit Guides Say No: Reading Warning Signs Clearly

The first thing John Edward notices when he walks into the barn is the vibe. "I walked in here and I was like, 'This is a cool place. This is a cool vibe,'" he says, settling in across from Gabrielle Bernstein for an episode of her Dear Guides series that is less about the sunny messages most of us ask for and more about the other kind. Bernstein opens the conversation by naming the problem plainly: we spend a lot of energy asking spirit for signs of affirmation, signs that we're manifesting, signs that we're on track. But what about the signs that we should not do something, that we need to pivot, that we've drifted out of alignment? Her answer is that this guidance is just as real, "just harder to identify and even harder to trust." What follows is a working conversation about how to hear a no from the unseen, how to tell it apart from fear, and what to do once you believe it.

What does it mean when your spirit guides say no?

Bernstein frames the episode around a reframing that many people find counterintuitive. Guidance that feels like a refusal, a stop sign, or a sense that something is wrong is not necessarily a punishment or a block. In her words, when guidance "feels like a no, that feels like a warning, it's actually divine guided direction putting us on the right path and maybe just giving us a heads up. Something's coming." (Gabrielle Bernstein, Dear Guides, opening segment, 0:00)

That idea matters because most of us experience a no as failure. We ignored a sign, we pushed through a bad feeling, we signed the contract anyway, and only later wonder whether we were meant to take a different road. Bernstein and Edward treat that retrospective question as a clue. The sign was there. The episode is built on the premise that the sign is learnable, and that the skill is less about receiving a dramatic message and more about noticing a steady, quieter signal before the consequences arrive.

Bernstein also widens the lens beyond the everyday. She describes "really troublesome moments" that become catalytic, openings for transformation and change. A no, in this framing, is not always a small nudge about a dinner invitation. It can be the first sign of a larger shift that your life is asking for.

How do you find your spirit team before you can hear it?

Before anyone can hear a no, Edward insists, they have to establish that there is someone to hear it from. He notes that many people who approach him after events or readings say they have guides, but few have built an active relationship with them. "We don't utilize it," he says in a moment of frank agreement with Bernstein. The point is not to believe in a team in the abstract; it is to invite them in on purpose.

Edward describes the framework he works from. In his philosophy, you have a master guide who is with you from the day you are born to the day you pass. Throughout your life, other energies come in and out depending on where you are on your timeline and which lessons you are working on. Bernstein summarizes it as a core group with additional guides who show up to support you at different times, and Edward confirms it. He also speaks about his own work with a team of energies that has been with him since he began, plus a second group that he says arrived in 2012, after they told him the energy of the world was descending toward something darker and that they were there to help raise the vibration on a global level. (John Edward, Dear Guides, approx. 2:35)

For readers who want a concrete practice, Edward offers a visual that he says helps people who need something to hold. Before anything else, you set your protection, something as simple as encircling yourself in white light and affirming universal love and divine protection. Then you picture your guides as helium balloons floating above you, one balloon for each guide. If you think you have four guides, you see four balloons. If you think you have twelve, you see twelve. Then, consciously, you pull on the strings and draw them closer until they are all around you.

"I always imagine that around you like up above you are these helium balloons and each one of these balloons represent your guides right so if you have four guides maybe you have four balloons if you have 12 guides you've got 12 balloons and consciously just imagine pulling on the strings and pulling them closer to you." (John Edward, Dear Guides, approx. 3:27)

Edward describes this as a switch. "It's me basically turning the switch on," he says, "It's me saying I'm willing and ready and open to receiving in a conscious way." He is also clear that the information is already flowing. "I believe that every day we're receiving information from them and we just don't even realize we're getting it cuz we're busy," he says, citing bills, traffic, and children as the static that drowns out the signal. Consciously inviting them in changes you from a passive recipient into an active participant.

Why don't you need to know your guides' names?

One of the most useful details in the episode is also the most relaxed. Many people assume that building a relationship with spirit requires an elaborate roll call, a list of names, and a formal introduction. Edward dismisses that. "You don't have to do roll call. It doesn't have to be like the Waltons," he says, and then admits that he knows his own guides' names but doesn't recite them one by one. "I acknowledge them as a collective because that's what they're pretty much there for. They are there as a collective."

He uses a teacher analogy to make the point. Your teachers in school are not your relatives. They are strangers who show up in a particular role to help you learn. Your spirit team may have shared roles with you across many lifetimes, including family or relationship dynamics, but in this life they are playing the role of teacher and guide. Ask them for help, he says, and keep protecting your energy as you build the relationship. The name is less important than the relationship and the willingness to ask.

How do you tell fear from spiritual guidance?

This is the hard part, and the episode returns to it repeatedly. A warning from spirit and a warning from anxiety can feel identical in the body. Both show up as tightness, dread, or the sudden certainty that something will go wrong. Bernstein names the discipline she uses to separate them: she reminds herself to ask whether she is being triggered by fear or whether she is receiving real information. "So that's the question we could ask," she says, marking the point where she turns the question inward. (approx. 29:34)

That self-question is the practical core of the episode. Fear tends to be loud, repetitive, and rooted in worst-case scenarios about the past or future. Guidance, as described in the conversation, tends to be a clear, specific signal that carries information rather than panic. The episode treats this as a skill built over time, the same way a musician learns to tell a wrong note from a bad night. You do not get it right by feeling more confident. You get it right by checking, reflecting, and seeing what actually unfolds.

Edward and Bernstein also talk about the moments when a message is hard to accept because it is not what we want. Their shared instinct is that the discomfort of a no is not proof it is false. The test is whether the message is consistent, whether it returns when you calm down, and whether it points toward something that serves your growth rather than only your fear of loss.

What about silence? Is that a no too?

The episode's title frames the question directly. Bernstein introduces the session by asking whether silence from our guides is its own kind of no, and the conversation is set up to explore it. The opening stretch of the discussion is focused on learning to recognize clear, direct nos first, because most people struggle to identify them at all. Silence is treated as a deeper question to return to once that foundation is in place.

For readers, the useful takeaway is the order of operations. Establish the relationship, invite the team in consciously, learn the feeling of real guidance, and separate it from fear. Only then does it make sense to ask what it means when nothing comes at all. Rushing to interpret silence before you have a working sense of the signal tends to produce more anxiety, not clarity.

Where to go from here

If the episode lands for you, start small. Pick one spot in your home and keep it for your practice, which Edward recommends as a way to build energy over time. Try the balloon visualization before a decision you are already weighing. Notice how the signals show up in your body and in your thinking, and write down what you sense before you act. Then check what unfolds.

Bernstein has also announced Dear Guides Live, an event in New York on November 21 focused on connecting with your guides and developing psychic abilities, with details at bit.ly/4e65YeZ. [0:00] When we receive guidance from our guides

[0:02] that feels like a no, that feels like a

[0:04] warning, [music] it's actually divine

[0:06] guided direction putting us on the right

[0:08] path and maybe just giving us a heads

[0:11] up. Something's coming.

[0:12] >> And what do we do with it?

[0:13] >> What are you going to do with it?

[0:14] >> There are really [music] troublesome

[0:15] moments that happen in our lives that

[0:16] are catalystic moments and opportunity

[0:19] for transformation and [music] change.

[0:21] >> What happens when we ignore a no from

[0:24] our guides? Your face. [laughter]

[0:27] I call it.

[0:30] >> We talk a lot about asking our spirit

[0:32] guides [music] for signs of affirmation,

[0:34] signs that we're manifesting, signs that

[0:36] we're on the right path. But what about

[0:38] the signs that we shouldn't do

[0:40] something, that we need to pivot, that

[0:42] we're off track or out of alignment?

[0:44] That kind of guidance is just as real.

[0:46] [music] It's just harder to identify and

[0:48] even harder to trust. And by the end of

[0:50] this episode, you'll know how to tell

[0:52] your spirit guides [music] are saying

[0:53] no, and how to trust that it's real, not

[0:55] just your fear. Welcome back to Dear

[0:58] Guides. My guest today is John Edward,

[1:01] one of the most respected [music]

[1:03] psychic mediums in the world. And today

[1:05] I'm asking him how to spot the

[1:07] difference between a superstition and a

[1:10] real message from spirit. We're getting

[1:12] into whether silence from our guides is

[1:14] its own kind of no. And [music] he's

[1:17] going to lead us through a practice to

[1:18] help us trust what you're receiving

[1:20] enough to actually act on it. Welcome to

[1:23] the show, John.

[1:24] >> Thank you for having me. Excited to be

[1:25] here. Welcome to Deer Guides.

[1:27] >> Thank you.

[1:27] >> And to the barn. This is where the magic

[1:29] happens.

[1:29] >> What a great vibe. I I walked in here

[1:31] and I was like, "This is a cool place.

[1:33] This is a cool vibe." I wasn't sure

[1:34] where I was going, if I was going to

[1:35] your house or where. I was like, "This

[1:37] is a real cool spot."

[1:38] >> It's such a vibe and it was necessary

[1:40] because the type of work that we do in

[1:42] this setting is so spiritual. It's so

[1:44] connected. We are going to invite our

[1:46] guides into the conversation. And before

[1:49] we do that, I just want to acknowledge

[1:50] that being in the right kind of space

[1:53] was very important for me. So, what I've

[1:56] always noticed is that whenever um

[1:58] somebody's developing, whenever we're

[2:00] going to do anything when it comes to

[2:01] this work, I always tell people to find

[2:04] one spot in their house and designate

[2:06] that spot as being the place that you're

[2:08] going to be working on whatever

[2:10] metaphysical practice that is. Whether

[2:12] it's yoga, meditation, I don't care if

[2:14] it's astrology, numerology, whatever it

[2:16] is, you want to kind of build up an

[2:18] energy in that one spot. And you've done

[2:20] that here. Yes.

[2:21] >> So, with all the conversations and all

[2:23] the guests that you have, it kind of

[2:25] holds the space in a kind of cool way.

[2:28] >> Do you have a specific guides that you

[2:29] work with?

[2:30] >> I have a couple of teams of energies

[2:31] that kind of show up when when I'm going

[2:33] to be like working. So, I I have I have

[2:35] a like an original team that's been like

[2:37] working with me since I started. And

[2:38] then in 2012, I got this whole other

[2:41] overlay of energies that came in because

[2:43] they said that the energy of the world

[2:46] was going to be descending into some

[2:47] negative like, you know, darkness and

[2:50] that they were there and working with

[2:52] people to help raise the vibration on a

[2:55] global level.

[2:55] >> Well, let's invite those guys in. I

[2:58] mean, really, whoever you want. I I

[2:59] always welcome the guidance of the

[3:01] highest truth and compassion to enter

[3:03] into the space. my teachers and uh and

[3:05] my guides which is a group of collective

[3:07] energy that's a really like a bright

[3:09] golden light how I visualize it and it's

[3:11] a higher purpose energy that

[3:13] specifically comes through when I write

[3:15] when I speak and for this community so

[3:17] this community you guys know that we're

[3:19] speaking on behalf of higher purpose it

[3:21] just shows up for me as a golden light

[3:23] energy but it's like a flange of

[3:24] entities that are up there

[3:26] >> cool and then for the people that are

[3:27] watching if you guys um want a visual

[3:29] aid of what you can do once you protect

[3:32] yourself and I always tell people to you

[3:34] say something like really really simple

[3:35] like I encircle myself in the white

[3:36] light of universal love and divine

[3:38] protection and then you could add

[3:39] whatever affirmations you want to put in

[3:42] but I always imagine that around you

[3:44] like up above you are these helium

[3:46] balloons and each one of these balloons

[3:48] represent your guides right so if you

[3:50] have four guides maybe you have four

[3:52] balloons if you have 12 guides you've

[3:53] got 12 balloons and consciously just

[3:56] imagine pulling on the strings and

[3:59] pulling them closer to you like bringing

[4:01] them all around you just as a visual aid

[4:04] cuz some people need something visual to

[4:06] work with.

[4:06] >> That was so good. So, you've said now

[4:09] just consciously in your mind,

[4:11] >> my white light is around me. I'm

[4:13] protected. [clears throat] And then you

[4:14] visualize your guides coming in through

[4:15] these balloons and they're here now.

[4:17] >> And I it's it's me basically turning the

[4:19] switch on.

[4:20] >> That's right.

[4:20] >> It's me saying I'm willing and ready and

[4:22] open to receiving in a conscious way. I

[4:25] believe that every day we're receiving

[4:27] information from them and we just don't

[4:29] even realize we're getting it cuz we're

[4:30] busy. Life's happening. You're paying

[4:31] your bills. you're stuck in traffic,

[4:32] you're taking care of your kids, all the

[4:34] things that are taking place, you don't

[4:36] realize that that guidance is seeping

[4:37] in. I mean, it's what it's what they're

[4:39] there for. I ask people to actually

[4:41] become more active with it.

[4:43] >> Yes.

[4:43] >> Like, hey, apparently I have a team of

[4:46] energies that are working with me. I

[4:49] don't know who you are, but thank you

[4:50] for being there. I'm working on this.

[4:53] Can you help me out with this?

[4:54] >> And I think it's important to actually

[4:56] invite them in. And I think what's

[4:58] interesting is that so many people that

[5:00] come up to me after events or after

[5:02] readings, they're like, I have guides.

[5:04] >> I'm like, yeah.

[5:06] >> I was like, in my philosophy, you have a

[5:08] master guide that's with you from the

[5:09] day you're born to the day you pass. And

[5:11] then throughout your life, you're going

[5:12] to have all these different energies

[5:13] going to come in depending upon where

[5:14] you're at on your timeline and what

[5:16] lessons you're working on.

[5:19] >> Yeah, we not utilize it.

[5:20] >> So, we've got our core guides. We've got

[5:23] other guides that will come in to

[5:25] support us at different times. Is that

[5:26] what you're saying? Yes.

[5:27] >> Right on. Okay. Cool. We often on this

[5:30] show talk about how we can bring guides

[5:32] in that will give us direction, will

[5:35] give us hope, will give us clarity on a

[5:38] decision. But this specific episode for

[5:40] you is about how we allow our guides to

[5:44] show us and reveal to us when it's a no.

[5:48] Real real clear nos. And I think that's

[5:51] actually harder to get.

[5:52] >> It is.

[5:53] >> Yeah,

[5:53] >> it is. So, so first we have to establish

[5:56] what is the feeling and connection that

[5:57] you get when you're getting information

[5:59] intuitively.

[6:00] >> And I think that so many people get

[6:02] stuck there. Yeah.

[6:03] >> Because they don't even know they have

[6:04] guides. So, first we have to establish,

[6:06] yes, you have a team of energies.

[6:07] >> You have a team of energies.

[6:08] >> You have a team. Call it your spirit

[6:09] team. We don't need to know their names.

[6:10] You don't have to do roll call. It

[6:12] doesn't have to be like the Waltons.

[6:13] Like, you know what I'm saying? You

[6:14] don't have to do like, you know, hello

[6:15] so and so and this. I mean, do I know my

[6:17] god's names? I do. Do I literally go

[6:19] over each one of them by name? I don't.

[6:21] I acknowledge them as a collective

[6:22] because that's what they're pretty much

[6:23] there for. They are there as a as a

[6:25] collective.

[6:26] >> And just like your teachers in school

[6:27] are not your relatives. You have these

[6:30] strangers in school that help you. You

[6:32] have these energies that maybe in the

[6:34] tapestry of your lifetimes. You've been

[6:36] in roles before with them in a

[6:38] relationship family dynamic, but in this

[6:40] one they're playing the role of your

[6:43] teacher, your spiritual guide. Ask them

[6:46] for help. Once you establish you have

[6:48] them and you're creating a relationship,

[6:50] always protecting your energy, right? We

[6:52] talked about protection. I think you

[6:54] have to now go with how do I know I'm

[6:56] getting something as opposed to how do I

[6:58] know I'm wishful thinking and how do I

[7:01] know that I'm not creating a narrative.

[7:03] This is probably the place that people

[7:05] objectively get stuck in the biggest

[7:07] way.

[7:07] >> Yeah.

[7:08] >> Because you have to get your human ego

[7:09] out of the way and you have to allow

[7:11] yourself to recognize what am I actually

[7:14] seeing? What am I hearing? what am I

[7:17] feeling? And a good portion of people

[7:18] are going to say, "I'm not getting

[7:19] anything." So, we have to now try to

[7:22] find ways to understand. So, I use a

[7:25] very simple example. Okay? I'm going to

[7:27] say something

[7:28] >> and then I want you to see what your

[7:29] immediate reaction is.

[7:30] >> Great.

[7:31] >> Okay.

[7:32] >> 2+ 2 is four.

[7:33] >> Mhm. Yes.

[7:34] >> See how you got that? It's just like,

[7:36] you know,

[7:37] >> oh, good, John. That's so cool.

[7:39] >> You know that 2 plus two is four.

[7:41] >> But if I say Mickey Mouse is a rabbit,

[7:45] Mm-

[7:46] >> Right. So now we have a benchmark of how

[7:48] you can go something is affirmative. I

[7:51] suggest you guys have like three or four

[7:53] examples of each that somebody else

[7:56] makes for you. Truthful positive

[7:58] statements that we know are affirmative

[8:00] and then negative statements that we

[8:02] know are not not plausible. So that you

[8:04] start to get that feeling in your body

[8:06] of what this feels like. So when you hit

[8:09] that person, right, and they're like,

[8:10] "Oh my god, Mike's such a great guy."

[8:13] And you're like, M mm- And everybody's

[8:17] like, "Everybody loves Mike." And you're

[8:18] like,

[8:19] >> "Nope."

[8:20] >> So good.

[8:21] >> No, Mickey Mouse is not a rabbit. This

[8:22] is not feeling right.

[8:23] >> Yes.

[8:24] >> You have something to base that on. And

[8:25] you might not know the why you're not

[8:28] liking the mic energy, but you're going

[8:30] to the place of, "Oh, I'm going to I'm

[8:32] going to just checkmark that and say, I

[8:35] need to look at this."

[8:35] >> This is a practice of getting in tune

[8:37] with what a yes feels like inside and

[8:39] what a no feels like inside.

[8:40] >> Correct.

[8:41] >> This is fantastic.

[8:42] >> Correct. And it really starts there. Is

[8:43] there a practice that you can help us

[8:44] get into the energy of listening so that

[8:47] we can really begin to hear and trust

[8:49] what we're receiving?

[8:51] >> So, one of the exercises I like to give

[8:53] people just in general is to put

[8:56] themselves in a position to receive.

[8:57] >> Okay?

[8:58] >> And one of the easiest places that you

[9:00] could do that is the shower because we

[9:02] all shower,

[9:02] >> okay? So, I want you to whether you

[9:04] shower in the morning, whether you

[9:06] shower in the evening, I want you to

[9:07] imagine when you're in that shower,

[9:09] lather up from head to toe. And all of

[9:13] that lathering, sudsy, soapy, shampooy

[9:16] stuff that you're using, I want you to

[9:18] visualize that as being negative energy

[9:20] that you're releasing. So when you get

[9:22] underneath the water and you watch it

[9:24] come off of your body that is now

[9:27] representing anything negative that

[9:28] you've been carrying in your oric field

[9:31] or anything that might represent

[9:32] something emotionally, mentally,

[9:34] physically, spiritually that you're

[9:35] carrying on an unconscious level, but

[9:37] you're consciously doing something to

[9:38] release it and letting it go. And you

[9:40] may want to do this a couple of times

[9:42] and literally watch it come off your

[9:45] body and go in into the into the drain.

[9:47] So you're releasing it. So it's a

[9:48] conscious exercise in releasing. The

[9:51] other thing I'm going to ask them to do

[9:53] is that while you're in that same zone,

[9:56] I want you to imagine that the water

[9:57] represents the actual information coming

[10:00] from your guides down to you. Right? So,

[10:03] we talked earlier in the episode about

[10:04] bringing the balloons down around you.

[10:07] Same thing, the waters that falling from

[10:09] above to like all around you. You want

[10:11] to put yourself in that column of energy

[10:13] of receiving that. And when you put

[10:15] yourself in that column of energy

[10:17] receiving, pay attention to what you're

[10:18] thinking. Pay attention to what you're

[10:19] hearing. Pay attention to what you're

[10:20] feeling. And as soon as you get out of

[10:21] the shower, write it all down.

[10:23] >> Okay. Okay. Love it. Beautiful. What

[10:25] does no answer sound like from your

[10:28] guides? It's

[10:29] >> more of a feeling.

[10:29] >> It's a feeling.

[10:30] >> It's more of a feeling. Um there was

[10:33] something like I could tell you like

[10:34] recently like last December something

[10:36] that happened very early in December for

[10:37] me. And the the mandate and the edict

[10:43] that was downloaded to me was you do not

[10:47] respond to this. You do not acknowledge

[10:50] this, you do not engage with this, you

[10:53] do not communicate with this, you walk

[10:56] away from this.

[10:57] >> Okay?

[10:58] >> And it had that energy for me. It was

[11:00] like,

[11:03] >> I can't explain it, but it was almost

[11:04] like a parental energy of,

[11:06] >> yeah,

[11:07] >> I'm going to kick your ass if you don't

[11:08] listen. Like, it's like you are in big

[11:10] ass trouble if you don't listen to this.

[11:11] Like, we will cut you off. So, it was

[11:13] like, oh,

[11:14] >> okay. I knew emphatically I need to pull

[11:17] my energy away from that and I can't be

[11:19] connected to that.

[11:20] >> So I've had moments like that throughout

[11:23] my this is 41 years of doing this. I've

[11:24] had lots of moments where I didn't

[11:27] listen to that and the result was

[11:29] negative. So we have free will. We all

[11:32] have the ability to ignore guidance. I

[11:35] mean how many times I mean how many

[11:36] times have you guys watching this like

[11:38] where you get information and you're

[11:40] like but I really want to go. Yeah.

[11:42] >> Right. Your ego self outtalks the

[11:45] spiritual understanding that you know

[11:47] that something

[11:48] >> more often than not.

[11:49] >> Yep. And we are human having a human

[11:51] experience and the human ego connected

[11:53] to the earthly desires puts us in

[11:55] positions to think that we can use our

[11:57] free will to create a different outcome

[12:00] even though your astrology, numerology,

[12:02] your guides and everybody else is going

[12:05] no.

[12:06] >> And we think oh no no I could do this.

[12:07] >> Yeah. And then all of a sudden

[12:10] eventually that individual, whoever they

[12:13] may be, winds up into a circumstance

[12:15] that's a little bit of a spiritual dead

[12:17] end. And they're now left with that

[12:19] moment of like, "Oh my god, how did I

[12:20] get here? What did I do?"

[12:22] >> Oh, you didn't listen.

[12:23] >> That's right.

[12:23] >> Right.

[12:24] >> You didn't listen. You didn't listen.

[12:25] >> It's too often that we don't. That's

[12:27] what this whole episode's going to be

[12:29] about is how do we know what a no feels

[12:32] like and then how do we follow through

[12:34] with that? Because I think we may hear

[12:37] that note and then override it. We can

[12:39] just not listen, just ignore the signs,

[12:41] ignore the messages, go with what we

[12:43] what our will wants. But it's a lot

[12:46] easier if we would listen in the first

[12:48] place.

[12:48] >> It is. And I think that's where lessons

[12:50] come in.

[12:51] >> Yeah.

[12:51] >> Right. And I I I always look at how they

[12:55] train us. And I say train us because I

[12:57] think that when we live in awareness,

[13:00] when we live in awareness, when we

[13:02] invoke that way of living and thinking,

[13:05] things just go smoothly,

[13:07] >> right? Things will go smoothly. We might

[13:09] not like everything, but things flow. If

[13:12] you guys are watching this right now, if

[13:13] you're listening to this right now, and

[13:15] you're in a place in your life where

[13:17] you're like, I don't like the way things

[13:18] are going, and there's a repetition of

[13:20] patterns that are happening, and you

[13:23] think like, oh my god, I know better.

[13:24] and everybody else is telling you, "No,

[13:25] this is not good for you." Like, just

[13:28] really take an assessment and are you in

[13:31] alignment? And if you're not, how do you

[13:34] shift that? Because it's only going to

[13:35] get worse if you don't.

[13:36] >> Yeah.

[13:37] >> Right. You can course correct. Everybody

[13:38] can course correct. The original GPS is

[13:41] your own spiritual guidance.

[13:42] >> Right. When you don't listen and it goes

[13:45] rending, right, reprogramming, it's

[13:47] going to put you back on that on that

[13:49] course. But we do have free will.

[13:50] >> Okay? And that free will is something

[13:52] that's highly significant if we pay

[13:54] attention to what is available to us. I

[13:57] remember when my first book came out one

[14:00] last time and I was in California and I

[14:03] was very excited because Entertainment

[14:05] Tonight made me the cover story of that

[14:09] evening. They were going to cover my

[14:10] book signing.

[14:11] >> Okay.

[14:12] >> And I was really excited. And then I get

[14:15] a phone call from my wife and she said,

[14:18] "Hey,

[14:19] did you did you take the Pathfinder to

[14:22] the airport?" And I went, "No, why?"

[14:25] She's like, "Well, it's not here." And I

[14:26] said, "What do you mean it's not there?"

[14:28] She's like, "Well, did anybody upstairs

[14:30] want to tell you that your car was going

[14:31] to be stolen from our driveway?" I was

[14:32] like, "No."

[14:34] >> Wow.

[14:35] >> I was like, "Are you positive?" And she

[14:36] goes, "Well, let me see. It was in the

[14:38] driveway last night. It's not there

[14:39] anymore and it's not there now, and you

[14:41] didn't take it." She goes, "And yeah,

[14:43] car's gone." So that happened in the

[14:45] morning and I I remember thinking like,

[14:46] "Okay, why wouldn't they have given me

[14:49] that as a as an insight?" So that was

[14:52] just like how my morning started. Then

[14:55] when I went to my guides about why

[14:57] didn't you show that to me that they

[15:00] didn't answer, but instead they said,

[15:02] "Entertainment tonight can't come to

[15:04] your books on tonight."

[15:07] And I was like, "Why not?" No answer.

[15:11] No answer. It was just entertainment

[15:14] tonight can't come to your book signing.

[15:16] And I'm like, "Okay." So, I called my

[15:19] publicist at the book company and I was

[15:20] like, "Hey, I have bad news." And they

[15:22] said, "What's the bad news?" I go, "ET

[15:25] can't cover the the book signing

[15:26] tonight." And the public said, "No,

[15:28] that's not true. I just got off the

[15:29] phone with them. They're absolutely

[15:30] going to be covering it and it's going

[15:32] to be great coverage for the book." And

[15:33] I went, "Oh, no, no. I'm not telling you

[15:35] that they're not able to attend. I'm

[15:37] telling you that my guides said They

[15:40] can't come. Like you can't allow them to

[15:43] come.

[15:44] >> And the publicist said to me, and you

[15:45] understand this world,

[15:46] >> crazy.

[15:47] >> Are you out of your mind? You're the

[15:50] cover story. And by the way, this is in

[15:51] 199899.

[15:53] >> This is what you need. Yeah.

[15:54] >> But this is when Entertainment Tonight

[15:55] was like the pinnacle of

[15:57] >> And they were like, you no, you you tell

[16:00] your guys that you I was like,

[16:02] >> you tell your guys.

[16:02] >> I was like, no, no, you don't

[16:03] understand. like either you cancel

[16:07] entertainment tonight or I'm not going.

[16:10] >> Wow, John.

[16:11] >> And they were like, "Well, you're

[16:12] putting us in a very, very bad spot."

[16:14] And I go, "I know. I'm really really

[16:16] sorry." And they're like, "You're

[16:18] seriously going to listen to that?" I'm

[16:20] like,

[16:21] >> "This is what I do."

[16:22] >> I'm like, "Are you out of your mind?

[16:23] That's Yes, I'm seriously going to

[16:24] listen to that." And my friend [snorts]

[16:26] at the time was like, "Are you sure

[16:27] you're making the right decision?" And I

[16:29] went, "Yeah." I'm like, "I don't know

[16:31] what's about ready to happen." So, as

[16:33] we're on the way to the Barnes & Noble

[16:34] in Santa Monica that night, I

[16:37] legitimately was like, "You know what? I

[16:38] bet you nobody's going to show up.

[16:40] There's going to be like nobody at this

[16:41] book signing, and that's what they're

[16:42] protecting me from. They're protecting

[16:44] me from like, you know, one person

[16:46] sitting there at the book signing."

[16:47] >> Nope. Place was packed. It was well

[16:50] attended. It was a huge event. So, my

[16:53] friends looking at me like, "So, now

[16:55] what? Like, why couldn't they be here?"

[16:57] Halfway through the event, this woman

[16:59] walks in the back of the store, the back

[17:01] of the room,

[17:03] >> like a Darth Vader type energy.

[17:06] >> Yeah.

[17:06] >> And starts screaming at me.

[17:08] >> Yeah.

[17:08] >> Where's the proof? You have no proof.

[17:10] This is a bunch of BS

[17:12] >> and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

[17:14] >> And I just sat back and I was like, if

[17:17] ET was there tonight,

[17:18] >> that's all they would have picked up.

[17:19] >> That's what they would have covered.

[17:20] >> That's all they would have covered.

[17:21] >> It would not have been about the book.

[17:22] >> I love that story. And I just was like,

[17:25] and then when I got done with the event,

[17:27] my friend at the time looked at me. He

[17:29] goes, "Don't ever not listen to what

[17:31] they tell you."

[17:32] >> And I was like, "It's how I live my

[17:34] life." [laughter]

[17:35] >> The public is like, "Can I have you on

[17:37] speed dial?"

[17:38] >> She literally was like, "Holy crap."

[17:40] >> That is excellent.

[17:43] [music]

[17:44] >> John, let me just take a quick moment to

[17:46] thank our sponsors. Our sponsors of this

[17:48] show make it possible for us to be in

[17:50] this beautiful barn, to have Sam, our

[17:53] amazing videographer, and to have our

[17:54] producers and have this incredible

[17:56] opportunity to serve you in this way for

[17:58] free. So, I want to take a quick moment

[18:00] to hear from our sponsors. There are

[18:02] always those things on the to-do list

[18:04] that somehow keep getting pushed back to

[18:06] another week. And for so many of us,

[18:08] getting new glasses is one of them. You

[18:10] know, you need them. You know your eyes

[18:11] are tired. You know you're squinting.

[18:13] This is literally me staring at the

[18:15] screen, my phone, even menus that

[18:17] somehow exactly ordering those glasses

[18:19] just feels like a whole project. That's

[18:21] why I love Zeni. Zeni is an online

[18:23] eyewear shop with stylish prescription

[18:24] glasses, sunglasses, customizable lens

[18:26] options with frame starting under $30. I

[18:29] ordered from Zeni and the process was so

[18:31] easy. You just go to zeni.com, find a

[18:33] frame you love, enter your prescription,

[18:34] customize your lenses, and have them

[18:36] shipped right to your door. I also love

[18:38] that they have a virtual try on so you

[18:40] can actually see how the frames will

[18:42] look on you. That makes the whole

[18:44] process feel so much easier, especially

[18:46] if you're someone who wants to feel

[18:47] confident. And Zeni has over 150,000

[18:49] five-star reviews, so you're not just

[18:51] guessing. I found a pair that felt

[19:32] I've always known that strength training

[19:34] was important, but sometimes the hardest

[19:36] part is not the workout itself. It's

[19:38] knowing what to do. What exercise should

[19:40] I do? How many sets? Am I doing enough?

[19:42] Am I actually getting stronger? Am I

[19:44] doing random moves and hoping they work?

[19:46] That's why I love the Ladder app. Ladder

[19:49] is an expert strength training plan, not

[19:51] a content library. There aren't random

[19:54] workouts or challenges that you have to

[19:55] figure out. What I love is that every

[19:57] time you open the app, your plan is

[19:59] right there. You're not wandering around

[20:02] trying to figure out what's next. You're

[20:04] not pulling something random from

[20:05] Instagram. You're actually following a

[20:07] structured plan that works. You get a

[20:09] new plan every week that builds on the

[20:11] last. And the workouts connect to each

[20:14] other with progress and one is building

[20:16] upon the next. And what I really love is

[20:19] that it does feel like you're having a

[20:20] personal trainer in your headphones. The

[20:22] in-ear coaching guides you through every

[20:25] set of cues from reminders and

[20:27] motivation so you can know exactly what

[20:29] you're doing and how to do it. I also

[20:31] love that there are different plans

[20:32] depending on how you like to train

[20:34] whether that's Pilates, bodybuilding at

[20:36] home dumbbells, hybrid strength, glute

[20:39] focus programs, kettle bells or gym

[20:41] training. For me, the biggest shift is

[20:44] that ladder removes the mental load. I

[20:46] don't have to think about what to do. I

[20:48] just show up, press play, and follow the

[20:50] plan. Remove the guesswork with Ladder

[20:53] and get a real coach in your ear telling

[20:55] you exactly what to do for every

[20:58] workout. No thinking, everything planned

[21:00] for you. If you have an iPhone, head to

[21:02] ladder.fit/gaby

[21:04] and take a quick quiz to find your

[21:06] perfect ladder plan. Use my link and get

[21:09] a free 7-day trial with no credit card

[21:12] and $10 off your first month if you

[21:14] join. Anyone who's been listening to the

[21:17] show for a while knows how deeply

[21:18] personal my path to becoming a mom was.

[21:20] And looking back, one of the things I

[21:22] wish I had was a prenatal that actually

[21:24] met me where I was instead of treating

[21:27] every stage like it was the same.

[21:29] Because it's not. Your body is going

[21:31] through so many different things. It's

[21:32] trying to it's doing something different

[21:34] when it's trying to conceive and it's

[21:36] doing something different in the first

[21:37] trimester and then the second trimester.

[21:40] And it's different every trimester. It's

[21:42] different postpartum. It just changes.

[21:45] And that's what I love about Parallel.

[21:47] parallel changes as your pregnancy

[21:49] changes with separate packs for trying

[21:51] to conceive, egg freezing, first

[21:53] trimester, second trimester, third

[21:55] trimester, postpartum, and pmenopause.

[21:58] So instead of piecing everything

[21:59] together on your own, you have a daily

[22:01] packet designed for the stages that

[22:03] you're in. For example, in the first

[22:05] trimester, you get a premium prenal plus

[22:07] extra B6 and ginger for nausea support.

[22:10] In the third trimester, you get a

[22:12] premium prenatal plus probiotics to

[22:14] support mom's gut health and baby's

[22:16] microbiome. It's brilliant. This is such

[22:18] a smart product. I also love how easy it

[22:21] is. It's one daily pack, so you don't

[22:23] have to go find a million different

[22:24] bottles and figure out which supplements

[22:26] you should be taking. And Parallel is

[22:28] also OBGYn founded, third party tested,

[22:31] researchbacked, and a winner of the

[22:34] Clean Label Project Purity Award. Their

[22:36] products are held to such high quality

[22:38] standards with no synthetic colorants or

[22:40] allergens. Talking to friends right now

[22:42] that are pregnant, trying, or

[22:44] postpartum, this is exactly what I point

[22:46] them to. If you're pregnant, trying, or

[22:49] postpartum, you need to check out

[22:50] Parallel. I cannot recommend it enough.

[22:53] I had them give me an exclusive code

[22:55] just for you. New customers can use code

[22:58] Gabby and get 20% off your first order

[23:01] at parallelhealth.com/gabby.

[23:04] That's plehealth.comgabby.

[23:13] [music]

[23:14] >> It would be the easiest opportunity for

[23:15] you to completely ignore your guides and

[23:17] just say no, no, no, ET's coming. But

[23:20] you did it. You heard the no and you

[23:23] acted on it. And then in effect saved

[23:27] not only your career moment but also for

[23:30] all the mediums to come, right? because

[23:32] you were really setting the stage for a

[23:33] lot of mediums and a lot of visibility

[23:35] around this content and that would have

[23:36] been a big story that would have just

[23:38] been out there forever. The internet's

[23:39] long living and we would have known oh

[23:41] this is doesn't work or this is drama

[23:43] and we didn't want the drama around this

[23:44] work. So that is an incredible story

[23:48] that I really want you guys to listen to

[23:49] to take in to digest because the next

[23:52] time you hear that no really don't

[23:55] ignore it. And for folks who may have a

[23:58] little bit of trouble understanding the

[24:01] no, you've given us this one exercise of

[24:03] starting to practice, okay, what's a

[24:05] yes, what's a no, and feeling that

[24:07] feeling inside. What's another technique

[24:09] for really digesting and understanding

[24:11] the no when spirit gives it to us?

[24:14] >> Writing everything you get down, date

[24:16] and time. Because I think the imperative

[24:18] is looking for validation, understanding

[24:21] that there's a validity to what you're

[24:23] getting. Because we can talk ourselves

[24:25] out of anything.

[24:27] >> We can talk ourselves into anything.

[24:28] >> So we have to look at facts. So my

[24:30] background comes out of healthcare. I I

[24:32] used to work in a laboratory and I

[24:34] worked in healthcare in a clinical

[24:35] environment as well as an admin

[24:36] environment.

[24:37] >> And data is really really important. So

[24:40] I went from a clinical environment of a

[24:42] laboratory to eventually working in the

[24:44] admin part of the IT part of a hospital

[24:46] where ad where again data and analytics

[24:50] were necessary in order to do your job.

[24:52] So, I have that kind of like as a

[24:54] benchmark in my mind.

[24:55] >> I need to see validation. Yeah.

[24:56] >> Right. And when I read for people, I

[24:58] will often say, I'm going to give you

[25:00] information and then I'm going to back

[25:02] up the information I just gave you. It's

[25:04] not just for you. It's for me. So, I

[25:05] could trust what's coming next.

[25:07] >> And I think trust is a really important

[25:09] thing to build when we're dealing with

[25:10] metaphysical practices and spiritual

[25:12] understanding. But that trust comes only

[25:14] when you have data, statistics, and

[25:16] analytics to look at. And that's what

[25:18] you're building on that foundation. So,

[25:20] you write it down as soon as you hear

[25:22] it. The date,

[25:22] >> date and time, whenever. Or you could

[25:24] pop it on your like, you know, your

[25:25] device, little notes after, however you

[25:27] want to do that.

[25:28] >> Um, when I was a kid, I used to mail

[25:30] stuff to my house

[25:32] >> cuz it would be sealed in an envelope,

[25:35] date stamped in time, postmarked,

[25:37] >> right?

[25:37] >> And then what happened, and I sometimes

[25:39] would put it in my mom's drawer, and I'd

[25:41] say, "Hey, go to your drawer. Pick out

[25:44] the envelope." And she'd look at it be

[25:46] like, "Okay." I go, "Look at the date."

[25:49] Okay. And then she'd open up and

[25:51] whatever the thing was that they told me

[25:53] had just transpired.

[25:54] >> Yes.

[25:54] >> And she would look at me and go, "Why

[25:56] don't you just tell me?" I'm like,

[25:58] "What?" She's like, "I'll believe you.

[26:00] Just just tell me." I was like, "Yeah,

[26:02] but look, it's like dates, stamped, and

[26:03] timed." And she said, "I think you're

[26:05] doing this more for you than it is for

[26:06] me."

[26:06] >> Yeah.

[26:07] >> And I was. And I think it's important

[26:09] for people to do it for themselves in

[26:10] the same way. I think that when you

[26:12] write things down,

[26:13] >> that level of validation makes you go, I

[26:16] can't just go, oh, that was a

[26:18] coincidence.

[26:19] >> No, you can't just think of it as a

[26:21] coincidence. I like this idea of you all

[26:23] doing this. The next time you get a hit

[26:25] that feels really strong,

[26:27] >> this is a no or this thing is gonna

[26:29] happen or I'm feeling like I should do

[26:31] something,

[26:33] >> write it to yourself as a letter and put

[26:35] the date and obviously you've got it

[26:37] stamped so you're going to have the

[26:39] exact date stamp time. So somewhere

[26:41] wherever you are like your spot where

[26:44] you build up energy, where you meditate,

[26:45] where you do your work, print out the

[26:48] word trust, so that it's in eyesight.

[26:52] >> Mhm.

[26:53] >> And use it as a reminder. The room where

[26:56] I read, I have a rock that says trust.

[26:58] It's been there for like 35 years.

[27:00] >> Yeah.

[27:00] >> Because I have to always remind myself

[27:03] to trust what's coming through and to

[27:06] recognize that it's not about me.

[27:07] >> Yeah.

[27:08] >> It's about the energy that's coming

[27:09] through me. And all I'm doing is

[27:11] facilitating what that is. And I want

[27:13] people to print out the word trust and

[27:16] place it somewhere in your ey line so

[27:18] that you could recognize that you have

[27:21] to do that when dealing with the world

[27:23] of energy.

[27:23] >> How do we tell the difference between

[27:25] fear and a warning from our guides?

[27:27] >> So the the feeling of excitement and

[27:29] anxiety in our body could be very very

[27:31] similar.

[27:32] >> The feeling of fear, excitement, and

[27:34] anxiety can also feel very very very

[27:37] similar yet different. So we have to

[27:39] look at where is the intentionality

[27:42] within that. What's underlying that?

[27:43] What are we building our feelings on? So

[27:46] I like to talk about we have two

[27:47] motivations in life. Love and fear. So

[27:50] which motivation is being triggered with

[27:53] the feeling that we're getting. So am I

[27:56] being triggered by fear or am I being

[27:59] triggered for a warning? Because there's

[28:02] going to be a difference in there

[28:02] because you may fear the warning. So we

[28:05] have to look at it from a standpoint of

[28:08] okay, how objective can I be about this,

[28:11] >> right?

[28:11] >> Yes.

[28:12] >> How objective can I be? Yeah,

[28:13] >> objectivity is important.

[28:15] >> What I'm hearing my guide say too is

[28:17] that we're never giving you negative

[28:20] messages. I I think sort of just in the

[28:22] sense of it's always coming from love,

[28:25] which is sort of re reiterating what

[28:26] you're saying. It may sound directive

[28:29] and it may sound alarming, but it's

[28:33] always in the pursuit of love. If we

[28:36] accept that, then we can really kind of

[28:40] def different differentiate between what

[28:42] you're saying specifically right now,

[28:44] which is is it motivated by fear or is

[28:46] it motivated by love?

[28:47] >> And what is it triggering for us?

[28:49] >> And what is it triggering for us?

[28:51] Excellent. So for me, if I'm doing a

[28:53] reading for someone and negative or what

[28:55] would be deemed negative information is

[28:58] coming through. The reason why it's

[28:59] coming through is to prevent it.

[29:00] >> Yep.

[29:01] >> Or to better deal with what's going to

[29:02] be teaching us a lesson.

[29:04] >> Right. Right. We talked about this when

[29:05] you walked in the door. We were talking

[29:06] about how you were like, "Well, you're a

[29:08] Scorpio and there's all this stuff

[29:09] happening for Scorpios." And I was like,

[29:10] "Oh, no." And you're like, "No, it's not

[29:11] a no. It's about just interpreting how

[29:13] you can learn more and what's going to

[29:15] happen and what the growth opportunity

[29:16] is."

[29:17] >> Correct. And so that is actually a

[29:19] really beautiful way of looking at this.

[29:20] When we receive guidance from our guides

[29:23] that feels like a no, that feels like a

[29:24] warning. It's actually divine guided

[29:27] direction putting us on the right path

[29:29] and maybe just giving us a heads up.

[29:32] Something's coming

[29:32] >> and what do we do with it?

[29:33] >> What are you going to do with it?

[29:34] >> Right?

[29:34] >> So that's the question we could ask.

[29:36] Okay. Thank you. Now show me what to do

[29:38] with it.

[29:39] >> Thank you for warning me. Show me what

[29:40] to do. What's the lesson?

[29:41] >> What's the lesson?

[29:42] >> Okay, great. Okay, so I've got a

[29:44] warning. I feel that it's a warning.

[29:46] It's not motivated by fear. It's

[29:47] motivated by love. And maybe it feels

[29:50] like a a maternal or paternal energy or

[29:52] some kind of guidance genuinely. And I'm

[29:55] going to then next say, "Thank you for

[29:57] the guidance." And what can I do with

[30:00] it?

[30:01] >> So then the next place I would go,

[30:02] >> okay,

[30:03] >> is I would say I'm going to implore an

[30:05] objective third party,

[30:07] >> okay?

[30:07] >> And that objective third party more than

[30:10] likely is going to be an astrologer.

[30:12] And the reason why I'm going to pull an

[30:14] astrologer in is I'm not and I won't

[30:16] tell the astrologer what I'm wondering

[30:19] about. I want to see what comes up

[30:20] organically. I will basically want to

[30:23] know from them what am I working on

[30:25] right now and universally what's the

[30:28] lessons on the table that I should be

[30:30] exploring because then I'm going to take

[30:32] that and overlay it to my feeling.

[30:34] >> Got it. Okay. So, you're going to get

[30:35] even more information. You're going

[30:37] data.

[30:37] >> Yeah.

[30:38] >> I'm going for the I'm going for the

[30:39] information, the evidence, the

[30:40] validation. I see you with your lab

[30:42] coat. Yep. I just saw a spark of light

[30:44] right over your shoulder. So, you're in

[30:45] your lab coat. You're figuring it out.

[30:47] In fact, when I pulled in this morning,

[30:48] there was a uh for whatever reason, my

[30:50] eye went to a um uh a license plate and

[30:54] it said lab.

[30:56] >> I clocked it. I said I didn't know why.

[30:58] I said, "Okay, it says lab."

[30:59] >> Literally, I don't know why I clocked it

[31:01] and now it's making sense because this

[31:02] is really about teaching us how to be

[31:04] that in the laboratory,

[31:06] >> being in the metaphysical lab.

[31:07] >> The metaphysical lab,

[31:08] >> you're looking for your data. you're

[31:09] looking to so science teaches us that

[31:11] we're supposed to replicate and extend

[31:13] data points every time you're you're

[31:14] doing something right in an

[31:16] experimentation if you want to like they

[31:17] look for the subject matter when I was

[31:19] part of the University of Arizona

[31:21] studies way back when when Dr. Gary

[31:22] Schwarz wrote his book, The Afterlife

[31:24] Experiments. Myself and a number of

[31:25] mediums were there.

[31:26] >> We didn't do the same experiment every

[31:27] time because you have to duplicate and

[31:30] then expand it and push the boundaries.

[31:32] So, I'm always looking to push the

[31:33] boundaries of

[31:34] >> of information. How much more how much

[31:37] deeper can I go?

[31:38] >> Whether it's myself or my client.

[31:40] >> So, I would look to an astrologer to

[31:41] kind of like where's the lesson?

[31:43] >> And then I would say to them at the end

[31:45] if they say, "Do you have any

[31:46] questions?" Be like, "Yeah, I kind of

[31:47] feel this way. My guides were showing me

[31:49] this." How would you interpret that

[31:52] looking at my chart because I don't want

[31:53] to miss anything.

[31:54] >> Yeah. Yeah. I love it because you don't

[31:56] want to miss anything. You're in the

[31:57] metaphysical lab and then I think that

[31:59] there are moments as you said earlier

[32:01] where spirit won't give us the message

[32:03] because something has to happen.

[32:05] Correct.

[32:05] >> Even if it's negative and I have an

[32:07] experience recently that this happened.

[32:08] Okay. So, uh a family member of mine

[32:12] >> got [clears throat]

[32:12] royally scammed out of a tremendous

[32:14] amount of money. And so just for your

[32:16] out there for your elder family members

[32:17] is like a PSA but it's it's really

[32:20] really pervasive what's happening with

[32:22] these you know text messages scamming

[32:25] and it was a tremendous amount of money.

[32:27] >> I sit in this room with every psychic

[32:30] medium under the sun week after week

[32:33] after week. The best you are the leading

[32:35] psychic medium. You're all in this room

[32:37] sitting in these chairs. I can attune in

[32:39] I can hear crickets crickets. Crickets.

[32:41] Nobody gave me any information. I didn't

[32:43] get any information. Even in a reading,

[32:45] I wouldn't get any information in

[32:46] astrology reading. I wouldn't get any

[32:48] information. And I after I find out

[32:50] about this, I'm thinking spirit, what

[32:52] the why didn't anybody give me a heads

[32:54] up? This was information I would have

[32:56] loved to have known months ago, right?

[32:58] >> How could I intervene? I have come to

[33:01] accept that there is obviously spiritual

[33:05] learning and healing for this

[33:06] individual, for myself, for our

[33:07] relationship, right? Uh, also there's

[33:10] other people in the family that we want

[33:11] to get lot, you know, order or organized

[33:13] now.

[33:14] >> And now millions of people are going to

[33:15] learn from this.

[33:15] >> And now millions of people are going to

[33:17] learn from this. I'm looking you in the

[33:18] eye. If you have a loved one that is

[33:21] anyone that is even slightly gullible,

[33:23] maybe elder, and they don't really

[33:25] understand technology and people's

[33:27] texting or emails that come through. Do

[33:30] not trust it. Delete it. Report it.

[33:32] Delete it. Report it. Delete it. Report

[33:33] it. Delete it. Report it. Do not get on

[33:35] signal with anyone. Just do not do it.

[33:38] This is this is a huge issue.

[33:43] John, give me a [music] quick second.

[33:44] I'm gonna take another quick break to

[33:45] hear from our sponsors. And before we

[34:31] you that fresh, effortless glow that

[34:33] makes you look more awake and pulled

[34:35] together, but just like yourself. What I

[34:38] love about Jones Road is that the makeup

[34:40] feels natural. It does not feel heavy,

[34:42] cakey, or overdone, which is great if

[34:44] you've got some wrinkles like myself in

[34:46] my late 40s, and it feels like modern

[34:49] makeup for real life. And the kind that

[34:51] you can put on quickly and still feel

[34:53] polished. And the best part is that

[34:55] Jones Road products are actually good

[35:07] just launched the Bobby Kit 6.0, Bobbi

[35:15] legendary makeup artist, not Bobby Brown

[35:17] cosmetics. This kit gives you a

[35:20] complete, effortless look without having

[35:30] on decades of beauty expertise. And

[35:32] inside you get new silky highlighting

[36:09] One of the simplest wellness habits that

[36:11] I've added to my routine is taking

[36:13] better care of my gut. This is so so so

[36:16] important to me and that's why I'm

[36:18] really thrilled to be partnering with

[36:19] Seed because this is the best, most

[36:23] beautiful, most pure probiotic I've ever

[36:27] used. I care about this product so much

[36:29] because I literally have it with me

[36:30] right now. I'm on vacation. I've got it

[36:32] in my handbag. I am walking around with

[36:34] it at this moment. I'm obsessed with

[36:36] this product and I'm super excited to

[36:39] partner with Seed because gut health is

[36:40] one of those things that really deserves

[36:42] a place in the larger wellness

[36:43] conversation and we talked so much about

[36:46] sleep and movement and nutrition and

[36:47] meditation all the things that we need

[36:49] to feel grounded and supported but your

[36:51] gut is part of the foundation too. It

[36:54] affects your brain, your nervous system,

[36:56] your entire ecosystem is really

[36:58] supported by your gut. And for me, when

[37:01] something is easy to stay consistent

[37:03] with, then I actually do it. And that's

[37:05] why I started with Seeds DS1. Seeds DS1

[37:08] is a 24 strain probiotic and prebiotic

[37:11] that transforms your gut. And what I

[37:13] love about DS1 is that it's not just

[37:15] about adding more bacteria. DS1 is

[37:18] designed to support your gut as an

[37:19] ecosystem. It's formulated with 24

[37:22] probiotic strains and plant-based

[37:24] prebiotic and it supports digestive

[37:26] health and whole body health as well.

[37:29] For me, I also love that this is a

[37:31] simple habit that I can actually stick

[37:32] with. They send you this beautiful

[37:34] little green vial and you can put your

[37:36] little tablets in there and take it with

[37:37] you on the road. And I'm always

[37:39] traveling so I've got this beautiful

[37:41] easy access to my probiotic. I just took

[37:43] it actually. DS1 also uses Via Cap,

[37:47] Seed's capsule and capsule delivery

[37:48] system, which protects the probiotics

[37:50] through digestion and delivers them

[37:52] where you need to go to be most

[37:54] effective. That's what makes Seed feel

[37:56] different. Feel better from the inside

[37:58] out with DS1. You get 25% off with code

[38:01] 25Gabby at seed.com/argaby.

[38:05] These statements have not been evaluated

[38:07] by the FDA. These products are not

[38:09] intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or

[38:11] prevent any disease.

[38:13] I believe that financial wellness is

[38:15] such a big part of feeling grounded. And

[38:16] it's not just about how much money you

[38:19] make. It's about knowing where your

[38:21] money is going, what you're working

[38:22] toward, and having a clear plan for the

[38:25] future. Because we've all had seasons

[38:27] where there is something where we're

[38:28] trying to pay down or plan for, whether

[38:31] it's a credit card balance or a car

[38:33] payment, a big purchase, or just wanting

[38:35] to feel more organized and empowered

[38:37] with money. And what I love about

[38:39] Monarch is that they give you clarity.

[38:42] Monarch takes the burden off tracking

[38:44] off your plate. So with quick check-ins

[38:47] on your laptop or your phone, you always

[38:49] know exactly where your money is. One of

[38:51] the features I think that's really

[38:52] powerful is Monarch's debt payown

[38:54] simulator and visualizer. It shows you

[38:57] exact debtree date based on your real

[39:00] balance and payments. So instead of

[39:03] money feeling vague or overwhelming, you

[39:05] can actually see the plan. people. That

[39:08] clarity is motivating because it turns

[39:10] something that can feel heavy into

[39:12] something that you can actually work

[39:59] >> Two things I'm hearing right as we talk.

[40:01] one in 1989, nobody upstairs gave me a

[40:05] clue that my mom had terminal cancer.

[40:07] >> Zero. Nobody said she had cancer to the

[40:10] point that she was in such pain. She had

[40:12] a shoulder issue. She was in such pain

[40:13] that she asked me to ask my guides in

[40:15] April of 1989. She said, "Can you ask

[40:17] your guides what this is?" So I did and

[40:20] they gave me one word and the word was

[40:23] pass.

[40:25] So I was like, "I don't know. They're

[40:26] saying pass." I go, "Whatever this is is

[40:28] going to pass." And I was like walking

[40:30] away from her and she went, "Oh my god,

[40:32] you're misinterpreting." I'm like, "I

[40:35] am?" And she said, "They're telling you

[40:37] I'm going to pass. You're missing it."

[40:40] And I laughed. I was like, "Oh, so

[40:41] you're the psychic now." I was like, "Oh

[40:43] my god, save your Italian drama." Like,

[40:45] please.

[40:46] >> Yeah.

[40:46] >> She was right.

[40:47] >> She died in October.

[40:49] >> Yeah.

[40:49] >> So, I chose not to interpret the word

[40:52] pass in the way that she did. So, there

[40:56] was a lesson for me. There's multiple

[40:58] lessons for me. the entire experience of

[41:00] her illness and death and her passing

[41:03] turned me into having this conversation

[41:04] with you on the couch right now.

[41:06] >> Right?

[41:06] >> So, there are moments in our lives that

[41:08] take place that are catalystic moments

[41:11] and opportunities for change. I'll say

[41:13] that again. There are really troublesome

[41:15] moments that happen in our lives that

[41:16] are catalystic moments and opportunity

[41:19] for transformation and change.

[41:21] >> It's making me cry when you say that.

[41:23] There are moments in our life with

[41:25] catalystic moments that are

[41:26] opportunities for change. Yeah.

[41:28] >> Transformation, transformative and

[41:30] change

[41:30] >> and change.

[41:31] >> Yeah.

[41:31] >> And I wound up becoming this version of

[41:35] me professionally because she passed.

[41:38] >> Yeah.

[41:39] >> And that's a hard statement to actually

[41:43] like say, but it's true.

[41:45] >> Yeah.

[41:45] >> It is. Like I could say at 57 now, like

[41:48] that was a hard experience to kind of go

[41:51] through.

[41:51] >> Yeah.

[41:51] >> You know, the 19-year-old version of me

[41:53] didn't want to hear that. My guys told

[41:54] me when right after she passed that my

[41:57] mom was done learning the lessons that

[41:58] she came into this lifetime to learn so

[42:00] I could become the person that I needed

[42:01] to become.

[42:02] >> Who the hell cared? Like

[42:04] >> I was 20. It was like that did not

[42:08] >> who cared?

[42:10] >> I care now.

[42:11] >> I I could look back on the last 30 some

[42:13] odd years and say a lot of people were

[42:16] healed as a result of her passing. It

[42:18] wasn't for nothing. It was an

[42:21] opportunity. It was a catalystic moment

[42:23] of transformative opportunities to heal

[42:26] >> and as a result of her being here on

[42:28] earth at the time that she was for the

[42:30] time that she was because she was she

[42:32] was your guide. She was encouraging you.

[42:34] She was holding that space for you.

[42:37] >> I love that's such a beautiful way of

[42:38] looking at things.

[42:39] >> Now I have some questions specifically

[42:43] from my coaching communities. My Gabby

[42:45] coaching members, they love to send in

[42:47] specific questions. We let them know

[42:48] who's coming on the show so they have

[42:50] specific questions too. Here we go. If

[42:51] you think you're hearing a no and you're

[42:54] not sure, what do you do?

[42:56] >> I would sit with that and I would

[42:59] logically explore the reason why the no

[43:01] came in and I would play chess.

[43:04] >> Okay.

[43:04] >> So, I call it energetic chess.

[43:06] >> Right?

[43:07] >> If I do this, what are the things that

[43:09] can come from it? If I do this, what are

[43:11] the things that can come from this? So,

[43:13] yes, it's it's pretty much logical

[43:15] thinking with an energetic overlay.

[43:17] >> Okay. I'm looking to look down what's

[43:20] called the line of probability

[43:23] and see what the projection is. Let me

[43:25] explain. So, if you're working with

[43:28] tarot and if you're looking at

[43:30] astrology, if you're but specifically in

[43:31] tarot because that's like the tool that

[43:33] I used still use. Um, I don't like the

[43:36] word prediction because a prediction

[43:38] makes it feel like, well, this is

[43:39] happening and I feel like the future

[43:41] isn't written and I feel like what we're

[43:43] looking at on the line of probability of

[43:45] where we are today, if everything

[43:47] continues, this is the projection.

[43:50] Projections we can shift, projections,

[43:52] we can maybe implement a a change,

[43:55] right? Or maybe we could stop something.

[43:57] But either way, I'm looking at that line

[43:58] of probability. I'm looking down what

[44:00] what's coming up. I'm going to look at

[44:02] that line of probability in an energetic

[44:04] game of chess and try to figure out what

[44:08] that no means and what else can come

[44:11] from that. And that's just how my brain

[44:12] works. I'm just going to be looking for

[44:14] like, well, why is it a no?

[44:16] >> Okay.

[44:16] >> Right. And what is it stopping me from?

[44:18] And

[44:18] >> is it kind of like playing it out to the

[44:20] end?

[44:21] >> No, I think it's it's making sure that I

[44:22] don't miss stuff.

[44:23] >> Okay.

[44:24] >> Right. So if if we look at how cryptic

[44:28] the information actually is that they

[44:30] give us and that's where I always like

[44:32] to when I talk to other practitioners

[44:34] I'm like take your clients on the

[44:37] journey with you explain your process

[44:39] let them understand that you're not

[44:41] having this open conversation with you

[44:45] know English dialogue right you're

[44:47] getting feelings that you're

[44:48] interpreting you're getting a word

[44:50] you're getting a thought you're getting

[44:50] a picture because then it helps your

[44:53] like your viewer or your audience, your

[44:55] people know like, well, that's how

[44:57] they're going to get it, too.

[44:58] >> And keep your human ego out of it so

[45:01] that you're not creating a narrative of

[45:02] what you want. Allow it just to be what

[45:05] the data is, right? Here's what the

[45:06] symbol is. They showed me this and now

[45:08] we have to figure out what the this is.

[45:11] That's where my interpretation comes in

[45:12] where now I'm looking at that line of

[45:14] probability. So, they're telling me,

[45:15] well, no, if I don't do that,

[45:18] >> what's the ripple effect of that no

[45:20] mean? M

[45:21] >> cuz sometimes they're giving you more

[45:23] information in that no than you're

[45:26] looking at.

[45:26] >> So you get the no and you say, "Okay, if

[45:29] I don't do that or if I stay away from

[45:32] this or if I avoid this, what does that

[45:34] mean? What's the byproduct? What's the

[45:36] product?

[45:36] >> That's cool. That's so cool."

[45:37] >> Because I think there's always more

[45:38] information in things.

[45:41] >> Or do you ever look at it? Sorry to

[45:42] interrupt you, but do you ever look at

[45:43] it from the standpoint of if I do do

[45:46] that, what's the byproduct?

[45:47] >> Same. That's how my brain, that's how my

[45:48] brain works. I'm looking at what the

[45:51] what's the ripple effect

[45:53] >> like when something happens

[45:54] >> because I think that there's more

[45:55] information that's giving that that's

[45:57] being given to us if we look at it

[45:59] deeper just not at face value.

[46:01] >> There's more information being given to

[46:03] us if we look at it deeper. We have

[46:04] >> so sometimes I'll get information and

[46:08] it's a weird example. It's one that's

[46:10] popping in my head though. Many years

[46:12] ago, I doing doing a group at a

[46:13] metaphysical bookstore in Florida and

[46:16] I'm reading for a group of people and I

[46:18] said to this woman, "You have an aunt

[46:21] that passed. She was on the Titanic."

[46:25] >> And she said, "She was." And then I got

[46:27] her last name. I got like her name.

[46:30] Validated the experience that this was

[46:31] the ant that was actually on the

[46:32] Titanic.

[46:33] >> Turned out that the Titanic um exhibit

[46:35] was like touring Florida at the time.

[46:37] So, I was able to actually go to the

[46:40] exhibit and see her name on the wall.

[46:42] >> That's cool, John.

[46:43] >> But the cool part for me was the aunt

[46:45] said she died of a heart attack.

[46:47] >> So, she gave me her passing was a heart

[46:51] attack. So, what does that tell you? She

[46:55] didn't pass on the boat.

[46:56] >> I was like, "Wait, your aunt was a

[46:58] survivor."

[46:59] >> Mhm.

[46:59] >> And she goes, "She was a survivor."

[47:02] >> I said, "I know she's a survivor because

[47:03] she's telling me she passed from heart

[47:04] issues. Mhm.

[47:06] >> She didn't pass on the boat,

[47:07] >> right?

[47:08] >> But she didn't tell me I didn't pass on

[47:09] the boat. But her telling me that she

[47:12] had heart problems.

[47:13] >> Y

[47:14] >> was now my way of looking at the

[47:16] information and extrapolating. Oh, so if

[47:19] she died of a heart problem, that means

[47:20] she survived the boat.

[47:21] >> You're in the metaphysical lab. Putting

[47:23] it all together. Put it all together.

[47:25] What happens when we ignore a no from

[47:28] our guides?

[47:30] Your face. [laughter]

[47:33] >> [gasps]

[47:34] >> Uh, so I can only speak for myself. I I

[47:36] I don't know.

[47:37] >> Um, I call it getting slammed.

[47:40] >> Yeah.

[47:41] >> Like I legitimately refer to as being

[47:43] getting slammed. And because

[47:45] >> I have had so many of those moments,

[47:48] >> it was very easy for me to cancel

[47:50] Entertainment Tonight.

[47:51] >> Yeah.

[47:51] >> Because I was like, no,

[47:53] >> I'd rather disappoint Entertainment

[47:55] Tonight and the book company

[47:56] >> Y

[47:57] >> than them. Y

[47:58] >> cuz I don't want I don't want to get

[47:59] slammed,

[47:59] >> right? Um, so I I just know that there's

[48:02] a repercussion.

[48:02] >> There is a for me.

[48:05] >> Yeah,

[48:05] >> I've seen it. I've seen it.

[48:07] >> And again, this all comes down to ego. I

[48:09] think when we're dealing with spiritual

[48:10] practices,

[48:12] the human ego is the thing that gets in

[48:15] the way of our development, our ongoing

[48:19] development. Um, when people think that

[48:22] they have the answers, they stop

[48:24] learning. Y

[48:24] >> like 41 years in, I am still a student

[48:27] of the universe, willing to learn. M

[48:29] >> I want to be better than I was

[48:30] yesterday.

[48:31] >> Yes, I love you. You're so cool, John.

[48:34] Okay,

[48:34] >> so sometimes the nos come in in the

[48:36] absence of information. So when you're

[48:38] really really developed and you have a

[48:40] good relationship and a dynamic with

[48:42] your guides, you're used to information

[48:44] coming in in a certain way. And so for

[48:46] example, in the last year, I kind of

[48:48] revealed that I was helping an FBI agent

[48:50] on like his cases for like for 30 years.

[48:52] Thank you. And there were moments that

[48:55] that relationship taught me new aspects

[48:58] about how my guides work.

[48:59] >> Because if I was reading for somebody

[49:01] and they said, you know, is my boyfriend

[49:03] going to leave his wife finally? If they

[49:06] gave me an answer like no.

[49:08] >> Yeah.

[49:08] >> If that client tried to ask me that

[49:10] question two different ways cuz they

[49:12] didn't like my answer, I got nothing.

[49:15] >> Got it.

[49:15] >> Like there was no additional

[49:18] enlightenment.

[49:20] No other way of saying it. It's like,

[49:22] no, they already answered that. And I

[49:24] noticed that working with Robert Hillen

[49:25] on the book, there was a moment where he

[49:28] would ask the question differently. And

[49:31] they did give me more information. And I

[49:33] found that fascinating cuz that was

[49:35] different for me.

[49:36] >> And I was like, why are they answering

[49:38] him?

[49:38] >> Like, what's so special about him that

[49:40] they're actually giving me more

[49:41] information? Cuz there was a couple

[49:43] moments where I would say to him, yeah,

[49:44] Bob, they already answered that.

[49:46] >> Yeah.

[49:46] >> And then more information came through

[49:48] and then I was like,

[49:49] >> okay, what is this? M

[49:51] >> like why are they giving him more

[49:52] information?

[49:52] >> Interesting.

[49:53] >> So I think it has to do also with the

[49:55] intention. His intention was objective.

[49:58] His intention was not personal. His

[50:00] intention was not coming from a place of

[50:02] what about me? It was from that at all.

[50:04] He was coming from a place of universal

[50:07] truth. He was looking for facts. He was

[50:09] looking for insights. And I think that

[50:11] also came into play. But there have been

[50:13] moments for me personally where I'll be

[50:15] like I don't really understand why this

[50:17] is not happening. M

[50:18] >> like when we get to a place in life

[50:21] where logic doesn't logic then I'm

[50:26] always like well there's a metaphysical

[50:28] reason why this is happening.

[50:29] >> Mhm.

[50:30] >> So let's go to them.

[50:31] >> Let's go to them.

[50:32] >> Let's go to them. Yeah.

[50:33] >> And when they don't answer I find that

[50:35] fascinating.

[50:35] >> Yeah.

[50:36] >> I find it like okay so there's a

[50:37] learning experience here.

[50:39] >> So we're going to do a practice now with

[50:40] John. What do we what are we doing here?

[50:42] >> We all live based upon our schedules.

[50:45] >> Yeah.

[50:45] >> And we plan our lives sometimes a month

[50:47] in advance. sometimes two months in

[50:48] advance. Some people have to plan their

[50:50] lives 12 months in advance. But it's not

[50:52] the norm that people are going to plan a

[50:54] year in advance. So whatever date today

[50:56] is that you're listening or watching

[50:58] this, I want you to write down today's

[51:01] date, but the next year. So if you're

[51:04] listening to this in 2026, I want it to

[51:06] be today's date 2027.

[51:08] >> If you're listening or watching this as

[51:10] a replay in 2027, I want you to do it as

[51:14] 2028. But whatever the date is.

[51:16] >> Yeah. And I want you to go into your

[51:17] calendar on this date and I want you to

[51:21] write down five or six things that your

[51:24] guides are showing you to validate that

[51:27] they gave it to you a year in advance.

[51:29] >> Okay?

[51:29] >> And what this does is it gives you the

[51:31] ability to kind of project into your own

[51:35] future.

[51:35] >> Here's what's coming up for you. And it

[51:38] may be like five things that make random

[51:41] no sense. It could be like, you know, a

[51:44] red a red fire engine. It could be a

[51:47] blue police car. Whatever the thing is,

[51:49] no matter how ridiculous it is, I want

[51:51] you to write it down.

[51:52] >> Because what it's doing is it's giving

[51:53] you the opportunity to take your

[51:55] consciousness and fast forward it to a

[51:58] year from now.

[51:59] >> And don't be logical. Don't try to

[52:01] connect it to what you're doing now. Ask

[52:03] them to show you things about where

[52:05] you're going to be. More than likely,

[52:07] you're going to forget that you did this

[52:08] exercise.

[52:10] And then next year at this time, this is

[52:12] going to pop up on your calendar. And

[52:14] how cool would it be for you to report

[52:16] back to you to say, I did this exercise

[52:19] and here's what I wrote and here's where

[52:21] I'm at.

[52:21] >> Love it.

[52:22] >> It's such a cool it's such a it's a

[52:23] great validation.

[52:24] >> Yep. And is it the sign that we saw or

[52:27] is it the experience that we had or

[52:29] >> It's whatever it is that they show you.

[52:30] >> Okay. Okay. Okay.

[52:31] >> Cuz they're going to they're going to

[52:32] tell you.

[52:32] >> So you're asking them on this day, show

[52:34] me five things.

[52:34] >> Yep. Show me five things.

[52:36] >> Dude, so cool. I love that. John is the

[52:37] best. This was such a beautiful episode.

[52:39] And John's new book is really cool. It's

[52:42] called Chasing Evil: Shocking Crimes:

[52:44] Supernatural Forces and the FBI agents

[52:47] Search for Hope and Justice. It is a

[52:49] very cool cool book. We've just put it

[52:51] at the link below this video. And if you

[52:53] want to go deeper right now and you want

[52:55] to really start to establish your

[52:57] spiritual connection of really letting

Gabrielle Bernstein suggests that guidance which feels like a no, a warning, or a sense that something is off can be divine direction pointing you toward a better path. John Edward and Bernstein emphasize learning the feeling of real guidance first, then checking whether a message is consistent and whether it serves your growth rather than only your fear.
Bernstein says she regularly asks herself whether she is being triggered by fear or receiving real information. Fear tends to be repetitive and rooted in worst-case scenarios, while the guidance described in the episode is framed as a clearer, more specific signal that carries information.
John Edward describes a master guide who stays with you from birth to death, with additional guides arriving at different points depending on your life lessons. He also says he works with a collective team, and that people often don't realize how much of this guidance is already reaching them.
Edward suggests first encircling yourself in white light of universal love and divine protection. Then picture each guide as a helium balloon above you, matching the number of guides you believe you have, and consciously pull the strings to bring them closer.
No, according to Edward. He says you don't need a formal roll call, and that he acknowledges his guides as a collective rather than naming each one. What matters is building the relationship and being willing to ask for help.
Bernstein raises silence as a possible form of no and the episode is built around that question, but the opening portion focuses first on recognizing clear nos. The hosts suggest establishing the relationship and separating guidance from fear before trying to interpret silence.
