How Openness Becomes YourContainer for Abundance

Imagine standing at the ocean holding a container. That container is your consciousness—and no matter how much abundance surrounds you, you can only take in what your vessel allows. This is the central teaching that Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Esther Hicks, and Denise Duffield-Thomas share in this special teaching compilation: that prosperity is less about what exists in the world and far more about what you believe you're allowed to receive.

The Gesture That Changes Everything

Hay opens with a simple but profound practice: "I am open and receptive to all good." She invites us to feel into this affirmation not just mentally, but physically. The body language matters. She observes that when people come to her seeking prosperity, they often sit with their arms crossed, shoulders tight, posture guarded. "How are we going to let it in?" she asks. "The universe notices." When you consciously open yourself—literally or energetically—the universe responds. This isn't mystical wordplay; it's a direct acknowledgment that your state of being communicates something about your readiness to receive.

What Hay is describing is the difference between striving and allowing. Most people are trained to push, to work harder, to make things happen. Hay reframes abundance as an act of acceptance rather than acquisition. "When you're not having something that you want, it's because on some level you're not allowing yourself to accept it," she explains. This shifts the entire burden of change from the external world—from trying to attract more money, more time, more love—to the internal landscape where belief lives.

Prosperity Beyond Money

A crucial insight Hay emphasizes is that prosperity is not synonymous with money. She outlines a multidimensional understanding of abundance: time, love, success, joy, comfort, beauty, wisdom, good health. A person can be wealthy in dollars but impoverished in time, rushing constantly, always pressured. Another might have comfort but no health, or abundance of love but scarcity of joy. The invitation is to audit your own life across these domains and ask: where am I poor, and where am I prosperous?

This framework dissolves the common excuse that abundance is for others. If you feel rushed constantly, you're experiencing time poverty—a real deprivation, regardless of your bank balance. If you've written off your own wisdom, assuming you "can't figure things out," you're choosing poverty in that dimension even as abundance awaits. The teaching is that you can shift your consciousness in any of these areas independently. You don't have to change everything at once; you start where you are.

Your Container and Your Consciousness

Hay returns repeatedly to the metaphor of the container. "The container that you have is your consciousness and you can always change your consciousness," she says. Whether you inherited poverty, whether your parents lived through the Depression, whether you came from lack—none of that is fixed. What is fixed is only what you continue to believe about it. This is not a denial of real hardship; it is an acknowledgment that your beliefs about your worthiness and capacity form the boundary of what you can receive.

She introduces the idea of a "cosmic bank account"—not a metaphor for luck, but a direct description of how consciousness works. Affirmations, positive thoughts, beliefs that you deserve something: these are deposits. Negative thoughts, guilt, shame, the conviction that you don't deserve: these are withdrawals. "Loving yourself pays enormous dividends," Hay insists. "Enormous dividends." And crucially: "Your consciousness is the best bank account that you can have. What you do up here is far more important than what you do just in a bank account."

The Fear That Never Leaves—and Doesn't Need To

Wayne Dyer brings a different angle to the conversation about blocks. He reframes fear itself: "The whole thing about fear, it never goes away. You're always going to be scared in some way." This is not a failure or a flaw to overcome. "What scares you today won't scare you tomorrow." The goal is not the absence of fear. Instead, Dyer suggests, recognize that fear is a passing weather system, not the landscape itself. You can move forward while afraid. You can make choices while scared. You don't have to wait for courage to materialize before you act.

This distinction unlocks something. If you believe fear must be eliminated before you can move, you're giving it veto power over your life. If you understand fear as a natural part of the journey, something that shows up but doesn't disqualify you, everything changes. Dyer exemplifies this through his own story: after making the decision to shift his consciousness around earning, "in the first year after I made that decision and allowed that to happen, I made more money in the first year than I had made the previous 36 years of my life." The abundance wasn't waiting for him to become fearless. It was waiting for him to stop letting fear make the decisions.

Vibrational Reality and the Path of Least Resistance

Esther Hicks, speaking for the nonphysical collective known as Abraham, introduces the concept of vibrational alignment. "Everything that you desire is in your vibrational reality," she explains. "The source within you knows where it all is and the path of least resistance to lead you to it." This reframes the entire problem. You're not trying to create abundance from scratch or will it into existence through sheer force. Abundance already exists—in possibility, in potential. The work is not creation; it's alignment.

When your vibration—your dominant frequency of feeling and belief—matches the frequency of what you desire, a path opens. You notice an opportunity. A friend calls with a lead. A door appears that wasn't visible before. But here's the part that Hicks emphasizes: "It's not getting to it that is the big deal. It's the path that is so fun along the way." The journey itself, lived in alignment, becomes the reward. This dissolves the urgency and desperation that often create resistance. When you're having fun on the path, you're emitting a different vibration than when you're grimly grinding toward a goal.

The Money Stories That Run in the Background

Denise Duffield-Thomas brings the lens of modern abundance coaching to the conversation, focusing specifically on the money blocks that persist even when someone intellectually believes in prosperity. She names the recurring patterns: guilt about earning more than others, the belief that money is somehow unspiritual, fear of visibility that comes with success, boundary-setting anxiety. These aren't random; they're inherited beliefs, family patterns, cultural conditioning.

One of her key observations: people often sabotage themselves at the exact moment they're about to break through. They get an opportunity and talk themselves down, or they reach a financial milestone and then create a crisis that consumes it. The block isn't intellectual; it's emotional. And the emotional charge comes from an old story—often one they didn't consciously choose but absorbed from a parent, a church, a community. "Three beliefs that keep abundance away," she points out, are usually some variation of: I don't deserve it, money is evil or unsafe, and I can't have both success and love. Naming these allows you to question them rather than live them invisibly.

The Practice: Clean Your Space, Shift Your Signal

Hay offers a deceptively simple practice: clean out your closets and your refrigerators. This isn't about tidiness for its own sake. When you remove the broken, the expired, the things you no longer use or believe in, you send a signal to yourself and to the universe. You're saying: I'm making space for something new. You're not hanging on to the old out of scarcity. You're trusting that by clearing, you create room for what aligns with who you're becoming.

This practice works because it's both literal and symbolic. Physically, you're creating space. Energetically, you're declaring readiness. Emotionally, you're practicing the belief that having less of the old means more room for the new—that generosity with what doesn't serve you anymore is safe. And practically, you're removing daily reminders of limitation, things you see every morning that trigger the feeling of not having enough.

Where to Go From Here

The teaching across all four teachers converges on a single point: the obstacle is not external scarcity, but internal resistance. You are not waiting for the world to change; you are practicing a shift in your own consciousness. Start with the easiest practice for you. That might be saying "I am open and receptive to all good" each morning. It might be cleaning a closet as an act of faith. It might be noticing where you say "I can't," and asking: is that true, or is that a belief I inherited? It might be sitting with fear and taking action anyway, learning that fear doesn't have to be your stopping point. Pick one dimension of prosperity—time, health, love, joy, wisdom—and ask: where have I accepted scarcity here, and what would it feel like to choose abundance instead? The container is yours to change. The ocean is infinite. The only question is how big you're willing to let your vessel become.

[0:00] Do that with me for a minute. I am open

[0:03] and receptive to all good.

[0:06] How does that feel? How are we going to

[0:09] let it in?

[0:10] >> The whole thing to about fear,

[0:13] it never goes away.

[0:15] You're always going to be scared in some

[0:16] way. What scares you today won't scare

[0:19] you tomorrow. Absence of fear is not

[0:20] your goal.

[0:21] That's not what you're trying to do.

[0:23] >> And in the first year, in the first year

[0:25] after I made that decision and allowed

[0:27] that to happen, I made more money in the

[0:29] first year than I had made the previous

[0:31] 36 years of my life.

[0:32] >> Everything that you desire is in your

[0:35] vibrational reality, and the source

[0:37] within you knows where it all is and the

[0:40] path of least resistance to lead you to

[0:42] it. And it's not getting to it that is

[0:45] the big deal. It's the path that is so

[0:47] fun along the way.

[0:58] >> [music]

[1:04] >> I am open and receptive [music] to all

[1:07] good. Do that with me for a minute. I am

[1:10] open and receptive to all good.

[1:14] How does that feel?

[1:17] >> [laughter]

[1:18] >> Does it really feel wonderful for

[1:20] everybody?

[1:23] Too often, you know, we sit and I put

[1:25] well, people come to me and want to get

[1:27] prosperity and things like this and I

[1:29] see them sitting like this. And I think,

[1:31] how are we going to let it in?

[1:33] How are we going to let it in? And this

[1:35] is such a wonderful symbolic gesture. I

[1:38] am open and receptive to all good. Not a

[1:41] little bit, not just some, but all good.

[1:45] You know, when you do something like

[1:46] this, the universe notices. The universe

[1:49] notices. A lot of think that people

[1:51] think that prosperity is just money. But

[1:54] really, there's many, many other things

[1:56] that come under this auspices of

[1:58] prosperity. There's time and love and

[2:01] success and joy and comfort and beauty

[2:04] and wisdom and good health and money.

[2:07] You know, you can be very poor in time.

[2:11] If you feel really rushed all the time

[2:13] and always pressured, you have poverty

[2:16] in your time. But if you feel that you

[2:18] have all the time in the world and that

[2:20] whatever you want to finish, you'll get

[2:21] done and it will it will all happen,

[2:24] then you're really prosperous in time.

[2:27] And what about success? You know, if you

[2:29] feel that it's really way beyond your

[2:31] reach, then you're never going to get

[2:33] it.

[2:34] But if you feel that you can be

[2:35] successful, whatever that means to you,

[2:39] then that's wonderful. That's

[2:40] prosperity. Comfort. How many of you are

[2:43] prosperous in comfort or do you live

[2:45] lives that are really very uncomfortable

[2:49] and hard and tight?

[2:51] Wisdom. Do you have prosperity in

[2:54] wisdom? Do you feel that all the wisdom

[2:56] in the universe is available to you or

[2:58] do you think, "Oh, I'm just me and I

[3:00] don't know very much and you know, I

[3:03] can't figure things out." If you feel

[3:06] that you're really connected with the

[3:08] universe and you really trust that part

[3:10] of you that's inside, then you can be

[3:13] absolutely prosperous in the abundance

[3:16] of wisdom.

[3:17] And what about love?

[3:19] Do you feel that you are having

[3:21] abundance of love or are you very poor

[3:25] in love? Is there really just a little

[3:26] bit of it in your life?

[3:28] How about joy?

[3:30] Do you feel you're really prosperous and

[3:32] have an abundance of joy or is that

[3:34] something you just allow yourself a

[3:36] little bit of now and then?

[3:38] And you really are very poor in joy.

[3:41] And then what about beauty? Do you see

[3:44] beauty everywhere?

[3:46] Do you allow yourself to experience an

[3:48] abundance of beauty?

[3:51] And what about good health?

[3:54] Do you have no health? Is there very

[3:55] little? Are you poor in good health?

[3:58] Or are you prosperous and do you have an

[4:00] abundance of good health?

[4:03] And of course there's money then.

[4:04] There's money too.

[4:06] You know, what do you let yourself have?

[4:08] Are you poor in money or do you have an

[4:10] abundance of it? I like to use that

[4:13] uh image a lot of the ocean. Standing in

[4:16] front of the ocean with a container in

[4:18] your hand. You know, and you're there

[4:20] and you have this container, but what is

[4:22] it?

[4:23] Is it a thimble with a hole in it? Is it

[4:26] a small cracked cup? Is it a mug? Is it

[4:30] a vase?

[4:31] Is it a a a quart jar or a pail or a

[4:35] bucket or wash tub or do you have a

[4:38] pipeline?

[4:39] And remember, no matter how a pipeline,

[4:42] run it right in.

[4:46] But no matter how much you have,

[4:48] whatever your container it is, and no

[4:50] matter how much you're taking from the

[4:52] ocean of life, and even though we're all

[4:54] standing there, we're not robbing each

[4:57] other and there's plenty for everyone.

[4:59] And no matter how much we take, there is

[5:01] no way we're going to run that ocean

[5:03] dry. It's absolutely impossible. And if

[5:06] you can see yourself standing at the

[5:08] ocean of life in the same way.

[5:12] And remember the container that you have

[5:15] is your consciousness and you can always

[5:18] change your consciousness.

[5:20] And it doesn't matter if you came from

[5:21] poverty. Doesn't matter where you came

[5:24] from and it doesn't even matter what

[5:26] your parents' beliefs were or if they

[5:28] came from the depression or whatever

[5:30] because it's your consciousness and what

[5:33] you're choosing to think and believe

[5:36] about prosperity and your ability to

[5:38] deserve it

[5:40] is what's going to create it for you.

[5:42] See, it has nothing to do with getting.

[5:44] People always think, "Oh, I want to get

[5:45] this or I want to get this. It's really

[5:48] allowing yourself to accept,

[5:52] which is a different concept.

[5:54] When you're not having something that

[5:57] you want,

[5:59] it's because on some level you're not

[6:01] allowing yourself to accept it.

[6:04] You know, I like to think that we have a

[6:06] cosmic bank account, all of us. It's

[6:09] like a mental, a cosmic bank account,

[6:12] and we can put in deposits of

[6:16] affirmations, of positive thoughts, of

[6:18] believing we deserve,

[6:20] and we can eliminate the debts, the the

[6:24] negative debts and negative thoughts and

[6:26] negative beliefs. We can take those out.

[6:28] And the more that you put in wonderful

[6:31] experiences and wonderful thoughts into

[6:33] your cosmic bank account, the more you

[6:36] will bring take out big dividends.

[6:39] Remember, your consciousness

[6:41] is the best

[6:45] bank account that you can have. What you

[6:48] do up here is far more important than

[6:51] what you do just in a bank account.

[6:53] Loving yourself pays enormous dividends.

[6:57] Enormous dividends.

[7:01] I know lots of people

[7:03] get upset because they say they're on a

[7:05] fixed income. But remember, who fixed

[7:08] it?

[7:10] Who fixed it? And it's a thing of

[7:12] consciousness. It can be changed. We

[7:15] want to realize that where we are is the

[7:17] totality of possibilities, not a little

[7:20] bit, but the totality of possibilities.

[7:23] And all things are possible.

[7:26] We want to to know that

[7:29] our job is only one channel

[7:32] of an infinite source. There's an

[7:34] incredible infinite source that supplies

[7:37] everything, from the air we breathe to

[7:40] the vegetation, to the plants and the

[7:42] animals and the planets and the stars

[7:45] and everything that's imaginable.

[7:48] And our jobs are like one channel.

[7:51] That's all it is.

[7:53] We can ex- We can

[7:57] enlarge this enormously.

[8:00] Anything that's fixed, any fixed income

[8:02] in in our life has been fixed by us, by

[8:05] an acceptance or a belief. So, we want

[8:08] to enlarge that and really let it go.

[8:11] Think for a moment about money and

[8:14] success and work and bills and debt and

[8:17] envy and lack and guilt. How do you feel

[8:20] about that? What are your beliefs about

[8:22] it?

[8:23] What do you think about your work? Do

[8:24] you think work is a drudge that you have

[8:26] to go through? Or do you see it as

[8:29] something that you really love to do and

[8:31] enjoy?

[8:32] What do you feel about debt? Is debt

[8:35] something that really drags you down?

[8:39] Or do you just see it as something that

[8:41] that you can take care of easily and you

[8:42] don't allow it to pile up?

[8:45] What is your belief about lack? Is lack

[8:48] something that's always in your life? Or

[8:50] can you see that lack could be something

[8:52] that's part of the past and is not part

[8:55] of what's going on now?

[8:57] Again, what do you feel about bills?

[8:59] Bills are these things that people get

[9:02] such stuff on.

[9:04] But they're only pieces of paper and

[9:05] saying somebody trusted us enough.

[9:08] And what about envy? Are you jealous and

[9:11] envious of people who have?

[9:15] And what about guilt?

[9:17] Do you really feel that you don't

[9:19] deserve?

[9:21] See, these are all poverty-oriented

[9:23] thinking patterns.

[9:26] Any negative thought that you have about

[9:28] money is poverty-oriented.

[9:31] So, listen to what you say and listen to

[9:33] what you're thinking.

[9:35] I love the exercise of having people

[9:38] clean out their closets. Go and clean

[9:40] out your closets and your refrigerators.

[9:43] Take all the stuff in the closets that

[9:45] you haven't worn in a period of time and

[9:47] either sell it or give it away or burn

[9:50] it.

[9:51] But get it out so that you have room for

[9:53] the new. You want to make room for new

[9:56] stuff to come in. So clean out your

[9:58] closets, let it go and as you're doing

[10:00] it, you say this thing of I'm cleaning

[10:02] out the closets of my mind. Same thing

[10:04] with the refrigerators, you know, is

[10:06] that a place where there's lots and lots

[10:07] of little bits of food stuck in the

[10:09] corners.

[10:10] Let get it all out. Clean it out. Make

[10:13] room because people who have very

[10:15] cluttered closets and very cluttered

[10:17] refrigerators have cluttered minds.

[10:19] They're not thinking clearly. It's just

[10:22] symbolic. That's all it is. It's

[10:24] symbolic of what what we've have in

[10:27] here.

[10:28] You know, you can do some wonderful

[10:30] affirmations in the morning when you get

[10:32] up and again, I love this gesture

[10:34] because it it's so symbolic and it says

[10:37] to the universe, I'm ready. I'm ready.

[10:39] You know, and just say, I'm open and

[10:41] receptive to receiving all good. This is

[10:45] a wonderful day of prosperity. One of

[10:47] the affirmations that I've used for a

[10:49] long time is that my income is

[10:52] constantly increasing.

[10:54] Just that simple. My income is

[10:56] constantly increasing and then I watch

[10:59] it happen. What we believe for ourselves

[11:02] is going to come true. And when we're

[11:05] doing our affirmations again, if you do

[11:07] a positive affirmation and the negative

[11:09] comes up, just say, thank you for

[11:11] sharing.

[11:13] Thank you for sharing. Don't You want to

[11:14] hear it. We don't want to run from the

[11:16] negative affirmation, but what we want

[11:19] to do is acknowledge it, but not give it

[11:21] power. Not give it power. So whatever is

[11:25] coming up.

[11:27] So when you hear them, write them down

[11:29] again. Write them down and give yourself

[11:31] a chance

[11:33] to then turn them around into para- into

[11:36] positive affirmations.

[11:38] Yes.

[11:40] Yes, can we get the lady over in the

[11:41] corner there?

[11:43] >> [clears throat]

[11:43] >> No, I said

[11:45] >> My biggest fear about money is that um

[11:49] I won't um

[11:51] is that I won't be able to

[11:53] make enough money in the career that I

[11:56] want. I I

[11:58] I grew up in Beverly Hills, but I never

[12:00] had enough money like my friends did.

[12:02] >> Yes, yes.

[12:03] >> And so that was always that feeling like

[12:05] I never had enough.

[12:07] >> Yes, uh-huh, yes.

[12:08] >> And also I've been sick since 1986.

[12:12] >> Well, that keeps you out of the running.

[12:13] >> And that and that keeps me out of having

[12:15] to deal with

[12:16] >> Yeah.

[12:17] >> Yeah.

[12:17] >> Uh-huh.

[12:18] >> And I like I like it cuz

[12:19] >> one way to deal with it. See, a lot of

[12:20] people do that. They will go into ill

[12:22] health because then you can't expect

[12:24] people to do anything. And you you just

[12:26] takes you out of the running completely.

[12:28] And somebody else has to take care of

[12:30] you. But it's a terrible price to pay.

[12:33] How would you like your life to be?

[12:37] >> Well, I I have I would like um I see

[12:40] myself moving more towards how I'd like

[12:42] it to be because I've been working on

[12:44] this kind of stuff for for like 3 years.

[12:47] Um

[12:48] I'm feeling like the love part is really

[12:51] abundant. I've got a lot of love. So how

[12:54] how else I would like it to be is where

[12:56] I am

[12:58] I'm comfortable and feeling and feeling

[13:01] free in the job that I do in the career

[13:03] that I want. I'd like to

[13:06] to

[13:07] I'd like to work at the career that I

[13:09] want to work at and make enough money to

[13:11] live and get over that issue already.

[13:12] >> Okay, then why don't you make that an

[13:14] affirmation? I am working at the career

[13:16] that I really enjoy and I'm making an

[13:18] abundance of money and I'm comfortable

[13:21] with it.

[13:22] Money has [clears throat] become my

[13:23] friend.

[13:25] And I I all that I need. Put it into a

[13:27] an affirmation.

[13:29] And say it every day. Say it and every

[13:32] time those negative thoughts coming up

[13:34] just say this over and over again.

[13:36] You've got to tip the scale.

[13:41] >> So you So you believe that if I say that

[13:44] on a daily basis, those thoughts will

[13:46] really begin to change. And I believe it

[13:48] cuz I changed

[13:48] >> willing to let go of them. If you're

[13:50] willing to let go of them. If you really

[13:52] want to hold on to them, then it won't

[13:54] work. And what do you do when you're not

[13:56] doing that affirmation?

[13:58] You see, remember every thought we think

[14:01] and every word we speak is an

[14:02] affirmation and going out and coming

[14:04] back. So if you do

[14:06] one affirmation three times a day,

[14:08] that's great. But what are you doing the

[14:10] rest of the time? That's what's

[14:12] important.

[14:15] I love myself. I'm willing to go beyond

[14:17] my past. I am the only person who

[14:20] chooses my thoughts now. You know, I

[14:22] work in a career that I really enjoy.

[14:25] I'm earning good money. I'm comfortable

[14:27] with it. I release the limitations of my

[14:30] parents. I let them go.

[14:34] >> [clears throat]

[14:36] >> You've got part of your life working

[14:38] nicely now. So So, you know,

[14:41] work on this now. You'll get it. Again,

[14:43] remember we Our parents had lots and

[14:45] lots of beliefs about money and we

[14:47] picked up a great deal of it. So what

[14:49] were your parents' beliefs? It's another

[14:51] good thing to sit down and write down,

[14:54] make a list. What did my parents believe

[14:56] about money?

[14:58] And write it all down and then look at

[15:00] it and say, "Am I choosing to believe

[15:03] that now?" I like to use the word choice

[15:06] and choosing in lots of the questions

[15:08] that I ask myself because I want to make

[15:10] sure that I understand that I am

[15:13] choosing to do what I'm doing. I don't

[15:15] have to do it. It's a choice.

[15:18] So do I choose to believe what they

[15:20] believe or would I like to believe

[15:22] something else? Again, we want to go

[15:25] beyond our parents' limitations.

[15:27] And I think many of us had parents that

[15:29] grew up in the depression. And there for

[15:32] them, there was a lot of fear, but we're

[15:34] not there now.

[15:36] We're not there now.

[15:39] If you want to change your job,

[15:43] first of all, if you say I hate this

[15:45] job,

[15:47] it is not going to get you what you

[15:48] want. All you're going to do is take

[15:51] dissatisfaction with you into the next

[15:53] job. What I like to tell people to do if

[15:56] they want to change a job, first of all,

[15:58] is bless this current job with love. Put

[16:01] a lot of love into it. Thank it for

[16:03] being there when you wanted it, when it

[16:05] was there, when you first got it. And

[16:08] know that you're now passing it on to

[16:10] somebody else that will love it, and

[16:12] will probably do an even better job than

[16:14] you're doing.

[16:16] Then,

[16:17] open your In that state, then open

[16:19] yourself to a wonderful new position.

[16:22] Know that there are people out there

[16:24] that are looking for exactly what you

[16:26] have to offer. And that you're being

[16:28] brought together on the checkerboard of

[16:30] life. I love that image of Here you go.

[16:32] Oh, hi, there you are. But, you know,

[16:33] it's been happening like this for a

[16:35] while.

[16:36] And that you're working somewhere that

[16:38] you that uses your talents and

[16:40] abilities. You're being fulfilled.

[16:43] You're working with and for people that

[16:45] you love and that love you. And you're

[16:47] earning a good income. And it's in a

[16:49] beautiful location.

[16:52] You know, put it all in and and and with

[16:54] that sort of atmosphere, then you can

[16:56] attract something wonderful to you.

[16:59] It's the same thing with an apartment or

[17:01] a home. If you want to move from where

[17:03] you are, don't walk around saying, "Oh,

[17:05] I hate this apartment."

[17:07] Because you're not going to find

[17:08] something you really love. Or, if you do

[17:10] find something nice, you're going to

[17:12] find this awful dissatisfaction in it

[17:14] right away because you're taking your

[17:16] consciousness. When you move to your

[17:18] apartment, it was wonderful. So, put

[17:20] love into it and say thank you for being

[17:23] here for me. We really had a good time

[17:25] and now it's time for me to move on and

[17:27] I know somebody else wonderful is going

[17:29] to come and live here. And then I'm

[17:31] opening myself to a wonderful new place

[17:33] to live in the perfect location, you

[17:36] know, with lots of light and sun and air

[17:37] if that's important to you. It's very

[17:39] important to me. And put in everything

[17:41] that you want and always add at a price

[17:45] I can easily afford.

[17:48] At a price I can easily afford.

[17:51] Don't limit yourself and don't put

[17:54] something on there. Put at a price I can

[17:56] easily afford. Then it's amazing what

[17:59] can come in

[18:00] that is exactly what you want. Same

[18:02] thing with a car. If you want to leave

[18:05] the car that you have, if you want a new

[18:07] one, put love into it. Thank it for

[18:09] being there for you and say I'm moving

[18:12] on now. I'm moving to a wonderful new

[18:14] car.

[18:15] And I know somebody else will love you.

[18:18] The more you can do that, the better it

[18:20] is.

[18:21] The better it is. Yes, right here.

[18:24] >> I've been very pro- prosperous in my

[18:26] life and uh

[18:28] I have a hard time opening up my arms

[18:31] and and saying I'm willing to accept

[18:33] more prosperity because I have these

[18:35] fears that something terrible is going

[18:37] to happen.

[18:38] >> Okay, was that a family thing?

[18:41] >> Family and life experiences.

[18:43] >> Okay.

[18:44] >> So, fear and safety have a lot of

[18:45] meaning.

[18:46] >> Okay, so if you're like this, you're a

[18:47] lot safer.

[18:48] >> Yeah, I I really became aware of it when

[18:51] you put the throw up in your arms and I

[18:52] got really fearful like

[18:54] >> Okay. All right. Okay. All right.

[18:56] >> I don't know what to do to

[18:59] I have also a fear about

[19:01] with an affirmation, do I throw myself

[19:04] do I deny some part of myself? Or is

[19:07] there a

[19:08] and will I uh

[19:10] you know, everybody experiences denial

[19:12] and things like that. Well, I use an

[19:14] affirmation to hide myself.

[19:16] >> I don't know. You might.

[19:18] I don't know whether you will or not.

[19:20] But an affirmation really is like

[19:22] planting a seed in the ground. And an

[19:25] affirmation, remember, it usually

[19:27] doesn't feel true to begin with because

[19:29] it if it were a truth, you wouldn't need

[19:32] to do an affirmation. What you're trying

[19:34] to do is to create something that you

[19:36] didn't have before. And it you're

[19:39] putting a seed in the ground, a new

[19:41] seed. And when you put the seed in the

[19:44] ground, you don't get instant whatever.

[19:47] What you get is a seed in the ground and

[19:49] you have to nurture it. Now, to want

[19:52] something new in your life is not to

[19:54] deny what you have. Unless you're

[19:56] releasing something and then you you

[19:58] don't have to deny it, but you can say

[19:59] I'm letting it go because it no longer

[20:02] serves me.

[20:04] And now I want to create this new in my

[20:05] life

[20:07] and start the new affirmation going.

[20:11] And remember, if you have had

[20:13] experiences in your life that are not

[20:15] comfortable, on some level they're

[20:17] mirrors of you. We don't always like to

[20:20] hear that, but everything in our life is

[20:22] a mirror of us.

[20:23] So, if something's happening out there

[20:25] that's not comfortable, we have to look

[20:27] inside and say how are we creating it?

[20:29] What is it about me or what is it within

[20:32] me that believes that I deserve this

[20:34] experience?

[20:36] Cuz otherwise, we wouldn't bring it to

[20:37] us.

[20:39] So, perhaps I I would say that perhaps a

[20:41] little more loving yourself would help

[20:44] because when you get that flowing, you

[20:46] won't bring in uncomfortable

[20:47] experiences. When I was a little girl

[20:49] and then when I grew up and and started

[20:51] out in the world, my self-esteem was so

[20:53] low and I had such a terrible self-image

[20:57] that I created awful experiences, just

[20:59] terrible experiences.

[21:01] And that continued until gradually I

[21:04] learned how how use your mind and that

[21:07] loving yourself is the way to bring good

[21:09] things into your life and then my

[21:11] experiences changed. But you know, if

[21:13] you just say, "Oh, well, it's all it's

[21:14] scary and then if I open myself up, I'll

[21:16] get terrible things." You probably will.

[21:19] Until you've changed whatever it is

[21:21] inside of you that attracts that.

[21:25] And that can

[21:26] Yes.

[21:27] Okay, so so it's just a question. You

[21:29] say you you've had a lot of money, so

[21:31] that's not an issue with you, but you

[21:33] have other areas. See, money isn't the

[21:35] answer. We think it is. We think money

[21:38] is going to take care of everything and

[21:40] we won't have any problems anymore, but

[21:42] it's not our answer. Let's see what this

[21:44] gentleman right here wants to say.

[21:47] >> Hi Louise.

[21:48] >> Yes.

[21:49] >> Um

[21:50] my situation with finding a a new house

[21:52] is a little different. I love the one

[21:54] I'm in.

[21:54] >> Uh-huh.

[21:55] >> But I have to move.

[21:56] >> Okay.

[21:57] >> So, um a year ago, I also had to move. I

[22:00] didn't love the place I was in, but I

[22:02] ended up loving it.

[22:04] And this new place manifest

[22:06] which now I love and which I have to

[22:07] leave.

[22:08] >> Okay.

[22:09] >> And I'm going out looking at all these

[22:10] places and everyone is like, "No, I

[22:12] don't want this. I don't want this."

[22:14] >> Mhm.

[22:14] >> And like a whole month has gone by.

[22:17] >> Well, the right place is waiting for

[22:18] you. The right place is looking for you.

[22:21] Now, you know that you can find a

[22:23] wonderful place and just know and firm

[22:26] that the power within you that got you

[22:28] the other place or the other places will

[22:30] bring the new one in and you know it's

[22:32] the perfect place and it's coming to you

[22:35] in a delightful surprising manner.

[22:39] And yes, look for it, but sometimes it

[22:41] doesn't happen. I I remember

[22:43] once in Los Angeles, I was looking for

[22:45] an apartment. It took me 6 months and

[22:48] when I was looking, I couldn't believe

[22:50] the junk that I was seeing. I kept

[22:52] saying, "This is Los Angeles. It's

[22:53] filled with wonderful apartments. Where

[22:55] are they?" All I could see was junky

[22:57] apartments that I wouldn't consider.

[23:00] And it took me 6 months and then when I

[23:02] found the one that I wanted, it was

[23:05] magnificent. And the thing was that the

[23:07] building was being built.

[23:10] And I couldn't get it because it wasn't

[23:12] built yet. And when it was built, it was

[23:15] waiting for me.

[23:17] And sometimes that happens. You know,

[23:18] you look for something and you're not

[23:20] finding and you're not finding and

[23:21] you're not finding. There's a reason for

[23:23] that.

[23:24] Now, you know that you're going to get a

[23:25] wonderful place.

[23:28] >> Thank you for your support.

[23:29] >> keep knowing that you always live in a

[23:32] wonderful place. That it's easy for you

[23:34] to find homes and you you always have a

[23:37] wonderful place to live. Make that your

[23:39] personal law. The other thing that I

[23:40] like, and I used this for years, was

[23:43] that I always have good relationships

[23:45] with my landlords.

[23:49] Because that's something that makes life

[23:51] a lot nicer.

[23:53] Let's do this gentleman over here.

[23:58] >> Thank you. Um

[24:00] I'm I'm pretty well blessed with friends

[24:02] and joy, but like the other gentleman, I

[24:04] freelance, and so I get very well

[24:06] supported by the people around me, but

[24:09] that tends to make me feel very guilty

[24:10] because I can't reciprocate.

[24:14] >> Okay. Uh

[24:16] That's your problem, not theirs. Are

[24:18] they giving to you only to get back?

[24:21] >> It depends on the individual. You know,

[24:22] family tends to give with one hand and

[24:25] expect something in return,

[24:27] but the friends are giving out of the

[24:29] joy of giving.

[24:31] >> Okay. So so the family who is giving you

[24:33] with one hand and expecting in return,

[24:35] just give them some love.

[24:41] >> I've been trying that.

[24:42] >> Just do it, you know, and if they if

[24:44] that's not good enough for them, that's

[24:45] not your problem. That's their problem.

[24:49] There are times in life when we when the

[24:52] universe gives to us in a form, whatever

[24:55] form that we may need, and we may not be

[24:58] able to do anything to give back or

[25:00] anything, and that's okay. I mean,

[25:02] however the universe has decided to take

[25:04] care of you, you say thank you.

[25:06] >> Yeah.

[25:07] >> And then there will come a time in your

[25:08] life when you will help somebody else. I

[25:10] can think of many people in my life in

[25:12] the early days who really helped me

[25:14] enormously at a time when there was no

[25:16] way I could pay them back.

[25:19] But what's happened is that years later,

[25:21] I've taken an opportunity to help

[25:23] someone else.

[25:25] And that's the way life goes. Very often

[25:28] all we do is exchange prosperity.

[25:31] Somebody gives you something and you

[25:33] right away give it back.

[25:35] Or you reciprocate, or somebody takes

[25:36] you to lunch and you immediately have to

[25:38] take them to lunch. Or somebody gives

[25:40] you a gift and you immediately have to

[25:41] give them a gift.

[25:44] Learn to receive. Learn to accept. Learn

[25:47] to say thank you and just receive.

[25:50] And you know, if

[25:53] the universe likes to know that you can

[25:55] receive and not just exchange. And

[25:58] sometimes you don't need to give back to

[26:00] the person that gave to you. You'll give

[26:02] to somebody else at another time. But

[26:05] learn to accept. A lot of us have

[26:07] problems with that. We can give, but we

[26:09] can't. You know, and

[26:11] and when somebody gives you a gift, say

[26:13] smile and say thank you. It's all you

[26:16] need to do is smile and say thank you.

[26:18] You know, if somebody gave you a gift

[26:21] and you said to them, "Oh, it's the

[26:22] wrong size or it's the wrong color."

[26:25] I guarantee that person will never give

[26:28] you another gift. And the universe will

[26:30] say, "This person doesn't want any

[26:31] good."

[26:32] You know, you accept graciously. And if

[26:34] it really isn't right for you, then you

[26:36] pass it on to somebody that can use it.

[26:38] Same thing with compliments. If somebody

[26:41] gives you a compliment, smile and say

[26:44] thank you. Just smile and say thank you.

[26:47] And you know, speaking of prosperity,

[26:48] how do you nourish yourself? What do you

[26:51] do for yourself that's nourishing? What

[26:54] do you do to make yourself feel good, to

[26:56] take care of yourself, to make sure that

[26:59] you're in superb health?

[27:01] To make sure that you have lots of

[27:02] loving friends around you. What do you

[27:04] do? Do you take time to nourish

[27:06] yourself?

[27:08] Again, you know, going to the mirror in

[27:10] the morning, anytime of the day, but I

[27:12] like the morning because it sets the

[27:13] tone of the day and saying, "What can I

[27:16] do for you today to nourish you? How can

[27:18] I nourish you? How can I make you happy?

[27:21] How can I make you happy?"

[27:24] Another thing we want to do, you know,

[27:25] is we want to be grateful for what we do

[27:28] have.

[27:30] If we If we're only looking at what we

[27:32] don't have, if we're only seeing the

[27:34] lack, again, that's not a way to bring

[27:37] more good in. Start to be very aware of

[27:39] what you have and be very grateful for

[27:42] it. So that more stuff can come in. This

[27:45] lady over here wants to ask me

[27:46] something. I saw you.

[27:51] >> Hi. I'm having a hard time receiving

[27:54] happiness. Um

[27:56] actually, I'm very happy. I'm having a

[27:58] hard time with fear of being happy.

[28:02] And I'm newly married and I'm very happy

[28:05] and I feel like I'm receiving love more

[28:08] than I ever have. I have a 9-month-old

[28:11] baby who's very beautiful and I love her

[28:13] very much and I have a tremendous amount

[28:15] of fear that something's going to happen

[28:17] to her or

[28:19] something's going to happen if I'm too

[28:20] happy

[28:21] >> You know what that's called? That's

[28:22] called running anxiety. That's all it

[28:25] is. Uh it's like there's a part of

[28:28] There's an anxiety part of us that is

[28:30] here and usually it gets taken care of

[28:33] this way or that way. We have these

[28:34] little things going on. When our life is

[28:37] really magnificent,

[28:39] it's like there's we're not handling

[28:41] that part of ourselves. So these

[28:43] thoughts come up. So when you hear them

[28:46] or when you feel them, just say, it's

[28:47] okay, I'm just running anxiety. All is

[28:49] well. My life is so wonderful and I

[28:51] deserve and I'm willing to accept and I

[28:54] can have.

[28:56] It's That's all you're doing. Just just

[28:57] recognize it is that little part of you

[28:59] is saying, well, you know, she's not

[29:01] upset anymore and what we've got to do

[29:02] something.

[29:04] >> [laughter]

[29:05] >> Sometimes

[29:05] >> Something's going to go wrong. I just

[29:06] know it. Things are too good.

[29:08] >> Thank you for sharing, you know. Again,

[29:10] thank you for sharing. You know, I

[29:12] appreciate I know you're trying to take

[29:14] care of me. You know, one of the things

[29:15] that I do when a fear thought comes up

[29:18] is I say to it I thank it. I say thank

[29:21] you for trying to protect me. Thank you

[29:23] for taking care of me. I appreciate that

[29:25] you want to help me.

[29:27] And then I'll do an affirmation for

[29:29] whatever it is. But I acknowledge that

[29:31] the fear thought is there to protect me

[29:33] because that's what fear is really,

[29:35] isn't it? You know, you get frightened

[29:37] and the adrenal comes and it's saying,

[29:38] where's the danger? So I I say, thank

[29:41] you. And you can do the same thing for

[29:43] that. And just don't give it a lot of

[29:45] importance.

[29:47] Okay, let's give it to the lady in aqua

[29:49] here.

[29:51] >> Yes. Hi. I've read a lot of your books

[29:53] and I'm really trying to practice

[29:56] learning and applying what I'm getting

[29:58] out of the books.

[29:59] But I when I looked into the mirror, I

[30:01] expected to have the fear of

[30:05] not having enough money.

[30:06] >> Uh-huh.

[30:07] >> But what came to me was a fear of having

[30:10] the money.

[30:10] >> Uh-huh.

[30:11] >> And I sat here and thought about that.

[30:13] My family did keep playing these old

[30:15] tapes. We were pop poverty and welfare

[30:18] children and it was always, well, rich

[30:20] people are no good or they're selfish or

[30:23] they're whatever and

[30:24] >> Oh, so now if you have money, you're

[30:25] going to be no good.

[30:26] >> Oh, yeah, and you should never have a

[30:27] credit card. And what's really funny is

[30:31] I have a credit card and I I always

[30:33] sabotage myself with my credit cards. I

[30:36] always manage to have enough money to

[30:39] pay the rent and buy my food and if I

[30:42] start making too much money or becoming

[30:44] too successful, I will sabotage myself

[30:47] so that I only provide enough money to

[30:50] meet my needs and not my wants.

[30:53] >> Mhm.

[30:53] >> Well,

[30:54] then I started putting out these

[30:56] affirmations of it's okay to accept and

[30:59] to have things. And yesterday, I was

[31:02] driving down the street and I really had

[31:04] a strong need for a vacuum cleaner and a

[31:06] typewriter.

[31:09] And those are like so unrelated, but

[31:13] I turned up the wrong street and

[31:16] sitting on the corner

[31:18] was a vacuum cleaner that had a sign on

[31:20] it that said, "Free, it runs, take me."

[31:24] I stopped the car

[31:26] and I got out of the car and sitting

[31:28] next to the vacuum cleaner on the ground

[31:31] was a typewriter.

[31:32] There was a little Jewish man that was

[31:34] standing in the driveway and I said,

[31:36] "Excuse me, are these yours?" And he

[31:38] said, "No, dear, they're yours.

[31:40] I have had them for so long. I don't use

[31:42] them. The maid has her own vacuum

[31:43] cleaner. You take them and use them

[31:46] well." And I smiled and said, "Thank

[31:48] you."

[31:55] >> [applause]

[31:59] [applause]

[32:00] >> You must have made some changes in

[32:02] consciousness, I think.

[32:04] >> [laughter]

[32:05] >> How wonderful.

[32:06] >> [gasps]

[32:07] >> Okay, let's let this lady.

[32:10] >> I hear you talking about loving yourself

[32:13] and

[32:15] allowing

[32:16] being willing to learn to love myself.

[32:21] But how do I put it into practice?

[32:24] How do I really allow myself to love

[32:28] myself so that I can

[32:30] >> first thing that you do, absolute number

[32:32] one on the list, is you stop criticizing

[32:35] yourself. Just make a vow that you are

[32:37] not going to do that at all anymore.

[32:41] And work on that as much as you can

[32:42] because as you stop criticizing

[32:45] yourself, you are going to be amazed at

[32:48] how you lighten up on yourself. I find

[32:50] that that's the number one thing that's

[32:52] in the way of loving who we are.

[32:56] >> And I really

[32:57] I really appreciate what you said about

[33:00] if we couldn't say I love you to say I'm

[33:02] willing to learn to love you. That was

[33:04] very helpful. I appreciate that.

[33:05] >> to a a space that you can begin to work.

[33:09] >> Right.

[33:09] >> You know, don't don't force yourself. If

[33:11] the quicker you can get to I love myself

[33:13] the better it is. But if you can't do it

[33:15] to start with, I'm willing to learn. I'm

[33:17] willing to begin to learn to like you,

[33:20] you know, if you have to move that far

[33:21] [laughter] back. But someplace so that

[33:23] you can start inching up till you get to

[33:25] the point where you say, I love you.

[33:27] You're wonderful.

[33:29] You know, and really feel good about it.

[33:31] And that takes time for some people cuz

[33:33] we've got all this stuff in the way. And

[33:36] when we get to the point we can really

[33:37] do that, it's amazing the wonderful

[33:40] stuff that happens in our lives. But

[33:42] remember, we're only dealing with

[33:44] thoughts and thoughts can be changed. I

[33:47] love working in a group like this

[33:49] because we help each other, you know, we

[33:50] bring up stuff and we can see where

[33:52] other people are and it touches stuff

[33:54] inside of us. When we change our

[33:56] thinking, we change our reality. That's

[33:59] just that simple. So, let's know some

[34:02] positive things for ourselves.

[34:09] We are open and receptive to wonderful

[34:11] new ideas.

[34:13] We allow prosperity to enter our lives

[34:16] on a level that it has never entered

[34:18] before.

[34:19] We deserve the best.

[34:23] And we are willing to accept.

[34:26] Our income is constantly increasing.

[34:30] We move away from poverty thinking into

[34:33] prosperity thinking.

[34:37] We love ourselves.

[34:39] We rejoice in who we are and we know

[34:42] that life is here for us.

[34:45] And will supply us with everything that

[34:47] we need.

[34:49] We move from success to success, from

[34:52] joy to joy, and from abundance to

[34:55] abundance.

[34:56] We are one with the power that created

[34:59] us.

[35:01] And we express for ourselves

[35:04] the greatness that we are.

[35:07] We are divine magnificent expressions of

[35:10] life.

[35:11] And we are open and receptive to all

[35:14] good.

[35:26] >> Hey.

[35:27] You guys are ready?

[35:29] Haha.

[35:31] >> [cheering]

[35:31] >> Yeah.

[35:35] All right.

[35:38] What have you gotten us into?

[35:40] >> Oh my goodness.

[35:41] >> Are you happy with these chairs?

[35:43] >> I am happy with anything. I'm also happy

[35:45] to be here and talk to a ghost. I've

[35:46] been waiting for this for years.

[35:48] >> Do you want to turn and more facing each

[35:49] other? Are you happy?

[35:50] >> yeah, a little bit. Like this.

[35:51] >> Oh.

[35:52] >> I think it's going to be perfect.

[35:54] >> Yeah, I can do this.

[35:56] >> I love you, Wayne.

[35:57] >> Oh my goodness. I love you, too. I love

[35:59] all of you. So nice to be here.

[36:04] >> Well,

[36:06] somebody said, "What are you going to

[36:07] talk about?" And I said, "I don't know

[36:09] and I don't want to know."

[36:11] >> [laughter]

[36:12] >> I didn't want to get anything in my

[36:13] head, but I like the idea of someone

[36:17] brilliant like this.

[36:21] Yeah.

[36:22] >> [applause]

[36:23] >> Talking to Abraham.

[36:25] What could be better than that? It's

[36:26] like co-creating at its best, isn't it?

[36:29] >> It really is. That's 1987

[36:32] or 88. I

[36:34] uh someone sent me a

[36:35] big collection of cassette tapes and uh

[36:39] I started listening to them and uh and

[36:41] we made contact maybe a dozen years or

[36:44] so ago and uh

[36:45] I've been just an incredible fan of

[36:47] Abraham. I think it's the wisest and

[36:48] most profound teachings on the planet

[36:50] today.

[36:51] Uh

[36:51] >> Wow.

[36:52] >> [cheering]

[36:52] >> I do. [applause]

[36:54] And uh

[36:56] >> Wayne has sold more of our books than we

[36:58] have.

[36:58] >> Yeah.

[36:59] >> [laughter]

[37:00] >> I'm I'm a a true believer. I just know

[37:02] that this is you know when when someone

[37:04] is telling you the truth and when you

[37:05] really feel the truth that's in your

[37:06] heart uh and you know you're being

[37:09] you're being told exactly the way things

[37:11] are.

[37:11] >> Resonance, huh?

[37:12] >> Yeah, it all it just resonates with me.

[37:14] It always has. And I'm And you've never

[37:16] you've never missed in in the hundreds,

[37:18] thousands perhaps of times I've heard

[37:20] you.

[37:20] >> Well, tonight

[37:21] >> Uh you've never missed.

[37:23] >> We never know. I'm going to go get

[37:25] Abraham. Is that all right with you?

[37:27] >> Do you need a GPS or anything like that

[37:28] or something?

[37:30] >> It just takes a minute for me to clear

[37:31] my mind and they'll just uh say hey.

[37:35] Okay?

[37:36] >> I'm

[37:37] >> Who are you going to go get?

[37:38] >> [laughter]

[37:38] >> Yeah.

[37:40] >> I have a feeling you're going to go get

[37:41] Abraham, too. If you really want to If

[37:43] you really want to know, I think that's

[37:45] what you've been doing for a while, too.

[37:47] >> Well, you know, there are many times

[37:49] when I do exactly feel that way as well.

[37:51] >> Yeah.

[37:51] >> Okay, here I go.

[37:53] >> [sighs]

[37:59] [sighs]

[38:12] >> It is nice to have an opportunity to

[38:14] visit.

[38:19] Co-creating at its best, yes.

[38:22] >> Yes.

[38:24] >> So, now what?

[38:28] >> I'd first just like you to just tell me

[38:32] and everyone watching and everyone here

[38:34] in this room

[38:35] who you are.

[38:37] Who is Abraham?

[38:38] For those who don't know, including me.

[38:41] Would you Would you tell us?

[38:45] >> The most important thing

[38:47] to explain

[38:49] is

[38:51] we are a collective consciousness.

[38:55] A vibration.

[38:58] Not different from that which all of you

[39:00] have access to.

[39:03] But, because of Esther's focus over the

[39:06] years

[39:07] she's managed to accomplish

[39:10] a frequency, so to speak, that allows

[39:13] her to

[39:14] hone in on us.

[39:17] She can hear us in a more pointed way.

[39:20] Everyone who is physically focused, and

[39:23] that includes all of you

[39:25] are extensions of source energy.

[39:28] And we are just that source energy that

[39:30] you are all extensions of.

[39:33] But, as you move around through your

[39:35] day-to-day experiences, not meaning to

[39:38] you often find vibrational frequencies

[39:42] because of what you are observing that

[39:45] prevents you from receiving the fullness

[39:48] of who you are.

[39:49] And we are the fullness of that, you

[39:53] see.

[39:54] So,

[39:56] some have tried to get us to define

[39:58] ourselves in physical terms, but we

[40:00] cannot.

[40:01] And we are not whispering words to

[40:03] Esther that she is repeating. We are

[40:05] offering blocks of thought.

[40:08] And she is finding physical words that

[40:12] match those blocks of thought. Everyone

[40:14] does this. You are all inspired.

[40:18] It's just that

[40:20] you can be inspired from

[40:23] different points of attraction. You

[40:24] could be in a very bad mood

[40:27] and receive inspiration. But you're not

[40:29] receiving inspiration from source

[40:31] energy. You're receiving inspiration

[40:33] from blocks of thought that have been

[40:35] sort of left on the physical trail.

[40:38] And so, it's a matter of tuning to high

[40:40] frequency and doing it consistently

[40:42] enough that there is consistency to what

[40:46] you are receiving. That's the easiest

[40:48] way to explain it. And the most

[40:50] important thing that we want to say to

[40:52] you and to everyone is you're all doing

[40:55] it. You just don't usually do it

[40:58] consistently. And Esther doesn't either.

[41:01] A forum like this, it's easy for her to

[41:03] do it because you all come expecting.

[41:07] And so, it is on the desire momentum of

[41:11] desire that you have going that we ride

[41:14] in on, so to speak.

[41:17] >> It's been my teaching mission almost to

[41:19] uh

[41:21] to encourage people to um

[41:24] you know, you you call it conscious, but

[41:26] to to uh rid ourselves I mean, I

[41:29] it was an act of forgiveness, if you

[41:31] will, that uh totally transformed my

[41:34] entire life and affected

[41:36] >> We know, but what took you so long to

[41:37] get there?

[41:38] >> Um

[41:40] >> In other words, that's what's happening

[41:41] to everyone. They would feel better if

[41:43] they would think thoughts that feel

[41:44] better. But there's this thing you've

[41:46] been taught that said Esther said to us,

[41:48] "But Abraham, it's true.

[41:50] It's true. Therefore, shouldn't I think

[41:52] about it? This happened to me. This is a

[41:54] true thing." And we said to her many

[41:56] times, "There are many things that are

[41:58] true that feel good when you focus upon

[42:00] them. And there are many things that are

[42:02] true that feel horrible when you focus

[42:04] upon them. We would be selective because

[42:07] when you focus upon the things that feel

[42:08] horrible, you're out there on the raw

[42:10] and ragged edge without your source.

[42:13] Now, not really without your source

[42:15] because source never stops perceiving

[42:17] life through you, but you've got

[42:18] yourself pinched off so that you don't

[42:20] recognize it, you see.

[42:22] >> Can't Can't someone who's living closer

[42:24] to source energy, you know,

[42:27] impact

[42:28] like in a family or in a community or

[42:31] >> Certainly.

[42:31] >> Can't Isn't that what Abraham is doing?

[42:33] >> Certainly. Certainly.

[42:35] >> What you are doing? I'm sorry.

[42:36] >> Certainly, but they have to be ready.

[42:38] They have to be in the vicinity. You

[42:40] can't set your radio dial on 98 and hear

[42:43] what's being broadcast on 101. The

[42:45] frequencies have to match up. And what

[42:47] happens with people is then they become

[42:50] self-degrigating.

[42:51] In other words, they beat up on

[42:53] themselves when things aren't going

[42:54] well, and we just want them to

[42:55] understand it was a vibrational choice

[42:57] that they have some control over if they

[43:00] will try a little bit. That's why we're

[43:01] so excited about talking you into first

[43:05] thing in the morning, just finding some

[43:07] general thought that feels good, and try

[43:09] to stay there until some momentum gets

[43:10] going, and show yourself what this day

[43:13] how this day is different because you

[43:15] did that. And after 30 days of doing

[43:17] that, you'll know what we're talking

[43:19] about.

[43:20] >> What about the last 5 minutes before you

[43:22] go to sleep?

[43:23] Which is what I tell people in talks

[43:25] often is that

[43:26] when you are when you are in slumber

[43:30] that your your subconscious mind starts

[43:33] to get programmed, you know, and if you

[43:34] if the last five five minutes before

[43:36] you're just going off to sleep, you're

[43:37] thinking about all the things that went

[43:38] wrong and how it didn't happen, and this

[43:41] is never going to work for me, and I'm

[43:42] not financially, and I'm sick, and this

[43:44] doesn't work. You're really Aren't you

[43:46] programming your subconscious mind? Then

[43:47] you wake up, and the universe just

[43:49] offers you this, you know,

[43:51] >> We agree with you.

[43:52] >> experiences that match up to what you've

[43:53] placed in there. So, those last 5

[43:55] minutes, it seems to me it's like you

[43:57] want to put in there all of your I ams.

[43:59] I am content.

[44:00] >> the here's the thing.

[44:02] If you've had a hard day,

[44:04] you can't just say it different in the

[44:05] last 5 minutes cuz the universe doesn't

[44:07] hear what you say, the universe hears

[44:09] how you feel.

[44:10] So, your best chance of really feeling

[44:12] good is after a night of momentum

[44:15] slowing,

[44:17] rather than after a day of momentum

[44:19] increasing.

[44:20] >> That's very

[44:21] That's very very well said.

[44:22] >> Yeah.

[44:26] Certainly, it's always better to speak

[44:28] positively, but don't you find yourself

[44:30] sometimes challenging your own thoughts?

[44:34] People will say, "It's like my thoughts

[44:35] are thinking me."

[44:36] And we say, "Don't just If If you've got

[44:40] a negative train of thought going,

[44:42] you What you want to do is make it more

[44:44] general if you can.

[44:46] Just generalize it. Step back from it,

[44:48] if you can."

[44:49] >> I'm just thinking in terms of uh

[44:52] you're [clears throat] going to sleep

[44:53] for 8 hours, let's say. Um

[44:55] and you're going to marinate in whatever

[44:57] thoughts that you have just filled your

[44:59] subconscious mind

[45:01] >> That's the thing that we're really

[45:02] wanting to explain is that law of

[45:04] attraction, the momentum of law of

[45:06] attraction, is not active while you are

[45:09] unconscious.

[45:10] Now,

[45:11] it's logical that when you wake up,

[45:14] you'll refocus, and you'll

[45:17] get the that your propensity of thought

[45:19] is already there.

[45:20] But that can change with this new

[45:22] discussion about

[45:25] getting a different trajectory going.

[45:28] Someone the other day gave us the best

[45:29] word

[45:30] because he's been

[45:32] deliberately getting on that high-flying

[45:34] disc and staying there with some

[45:36] success. He's in his 60th or 70th day of

[45:40] that.

[45:41] And he said, "Now it's beginning to feel

[45:42] like I'm tethered there. Like sometimes

[45:45] I'll dip down, but it's like a bungee

[45:47] cord that takes me right back up."

[45:50] And we said,

[45:51] "That's exactly what we're saying about

[45:53] this non-physical you. You're tethered

[45:56] You're tethered to this pure positive

[45:59] energy, but you've practiced not being

[46:01] there enough that you've sort of

[46:03] stretched your bungee cord to its

[46:04] limits. And now you're dangling around

[46:07] in vibrations that don't serve you and

[46:09] that are not really who you are. But it

[46:11] doesn't take much to get that elasticity

[46:14] back so that

[46:15] >> Is this like a conditioning process? I

[46:17] mean, like from the time that we're

[46:18] little boys or little girls, we're told

[46:20] what we can do, what we can't do, what's

[46:21] possible, what's not

[46:22] >> Yeah, by those who don't know.

[46:24] By those who are looking from lower

[46:26] discs, who are wanting to prepare you

[46:29] for the inevitable failure that they

[46:31] think you will live. And in the early

[46:33] days, you didn't like that at all. You

[46:35] protested in the beginning.

[46:37] You did.

[46:39] You protested.

[46:40] And the source within you knows who you

[46:43] are and is always reminding you. That's

[46:45] why at 3:13, some of those thoughts

[46:46] flow.

[46:50] >> I'm just thinking about as as babies,

[46:51] there's the poet William Wordsworth who

[46:53] said, "Our birth

[46:55] Our birth is but a sleep

[46:57] and a forgetting.

[46:59] Heaven lies about us in our infancy."

[47:03] >> It's a forgetting

[47:05] because

[47:06] it's a forgetting in the sense that

[47:09] you don't remember the details.

[47:11] But you remember your worthiness. You

[47:13] know your value. You know you came with

[47:15] purpose.

[47:16] That's why when people try to tell you

[47:18] otherwise, you don't take it well in the

[47:20] beginning. They can condition you to let

[47:23] go of that, but you can spring back.

[47:25] Start tomorrow morning.

[47:27] >> Yeah.

[47:28] But I'm thinking about all the parents

[47:30] out there.

[47:30] >> Yeah.

[47:31] >> And and and how often they they

[47:33] condition

[47:34] "You can't do this" or "That's not

[47:36] possible" or

[47:37] >> If we were If we were If we were giving

[47:39] one encouragement to parents, we would

[47:42] say

[47:43] choose your disc

[47:45] and then talk to your kids.

[47:48] Don't let the subject choose your disc.

[47:50] In other words, they've misbehaved or

[47:52] they've disobeyed or they've

[47:54] disappointed or or or or or or. So, as

[47:57] you observe that, that chooses the disc.

[48:01] And then you you can have a lifetime of

[48:03] hating someone under those conditions.

[48:05] But if you choose the disc because you

[48:08] want to feel good and then are inspired

[48:11] from that broader perspective, you got

[48:13] to remember that they've got inner

[48:15] beings, too. Your inner being knows

[48:17] everything you that you've asked for, is

[48:20] swirling in this vibrational reality,

[48:22] knows everything that you want and where

[48:24] you are right now in relationship with

[48:27] everything that you want and knows the

[48:28] path of least resistance to get you to

[48:31] it, you see.

[48:32] So, when you begin practicing what the

[48:34] path of least resistance feels like,

[48:36] then you can guide some others, too.

[48:39] >> Well, couldn't we get it from babies? I

[48:40] mean, couldn't we learn it from babies?

[48:41] It's

[48:42] >> Well, hang around with them. They know

[48:43] it.

[48:43] >> Yeah.

[48:44] >> That's one of the most fun things

[48:45] >> lately with a little boy quite a good

[48:47] actually, a little boy named Jesse. He's

[48:49] 2 years old and um

[48:51] >> You can feel his wisdom, his knowing,

[48:53] his love.

[48:54] >> I'm just so in love with this little

[48:56] boy. I mean, and I talk when I take him

[48:58] by myself and I just take him down to

[48:59] the swimming pool and I'm just with him.

[49:01] I look him in the eye. I just ask him

[49:02] about God. I ask him about source and

[49:05] energy. I ask him about, you know, come

[49:07] on, tell me. Tell me more. And and

[49:09] he doesn't

[49:10] >> And what he says is,

[49:12] "You make too much of all of this

[49:14] and don't make me think about things

[49:16] that I don't want to think about yet.

[49:17] And I'm new here and I really like it so

[49:20] far and

[49:21] I want everybody to feel about it like I

[49:23] feel about it and

[49:25] um I would like to maintain this

[49:27] alignment with my source energy through

[49:29] all of the days of my life experience

[49:31] and it's fun to hang out with somebody

[49:32] like you who has reconnected with all of

[49:35] that. And so, you feel really good to

[49:37] me. You don't feel like most people. You

[49:40] feel like that which I know to be.

[49:42] That's why I gravitate to you." That's

[49:44] what he's saying to you.

[49:45] >> Amazing amazing Abraham because

[49:47] the first time I saw him, he was I don't

[49:49] know, five six months old.

[49:51] >> Yeah.

[49:51] >> Um I recognized it.

[49:53] >> Yeah.

[49:53] >> It wasn't like, "Oh, this is a cute

[49:55] little boy." and all of that, but I just

[49:56] I saw something. In fact, I saw myself

[49:59] in him as a little as a little baby

[50:01] myself. Sometimes I even wonder, can can

[50:03] you be

[50:04] >> Yes, but that's not what it is. You felt

[50:06] the resonance with his alignment.

[50:07] >> Yeah.

[50:08] >> In other words, he's tuned in, tapped

[50:09] in, turned on.

[50:10] >> Yeah.

[50:11] >> He hasn't disconnected from that. He's

[50:13] still tethered. You see.

[50:15] Yeah.

[50:16] >> He just brings so much joy even even

[50:18] thinking about his just his little face

[50:20] and his little

[50:21] >> what the infusion of new ones coming in

[50:22] is all the time. You think You think

[50:24] you're there to teach you. You think

[50:26] that you are here to teach them. They

[50:28] are coming to teach you.

[50:30] Because what they're teaching you,

[50:31] animals too, we're on the high-flying

[50:33] disc. Don't mess it up.

[50:37] >> And we do mess it up.

[50:38] >> You don't mean to. And you don't have

[50:40] to.

[50:41] And when you do, you don't feel good.

[50:43] When you deviate from the vibration of

[50:45] who you are, you feel separation's too

[50:48] strong a word, but you feel the pinching

[50:49] off. And you feel when the pinching off

[50:52] releases. And if you want to play with

[50:54] it, just take some subject that you feel

[50:57] resistance about. And just get more

[51:00] general about it. And watch what

[51:02] happens.

[51:03] >> What What do you mean?

[51:05] >> Well, for example,

[51:07] you could let's say that it was before

[51:09] you had that

[51:11] wonderful

[51:13] realignment with who you are at the

[51:14] gravesite.

[51:16] And you're still railing about the

[51:19] inappropriateness of this

[51:21] ne'er-do-well father. And it's just

[51:24] eating you up. You just feel the discord

[51:26] in a really strong way.

[51:28] And so, and you don't want to feel the

[51:30] discord, but you can't change what

[51:32] happened.

[51:33] You can't change the stories that you

[51:35] heard, and you can't change the way you

[51:37] have felt about it.

[51:39] In other words, it happened, and so it's

[51:41] a strong momentum within you.

[51:43] But nevertheless, you don't like the way

[51:45] it feels.

[51:46] So, you could change the subject.

[51:48] And think about things that feel better.

[51:50] But with something as

[51:53] significant as parent and child, it

[51:57] comes up all the time. You see parents

[51:58] with their kids and you see kids with

[52:00] their parents. And so it's something

[52:02] that comes up. So it's important for you

[52:04] to find a way of soothing the energy. So

[52:06] you say

[52:10] I can't believe how that guy just left

[52:12] us. I can't believe how he turned his

[52:13] back on us.

[52:14] Feel how the momentum is getting

[52:15] stronger. Never even look back. I don't

[52:18] even think he even acknowledged that I

[52:20] was alive. I don't think he cared about

[52:22] me at all. He certainly didn't care

[52:23] about the others. He didn't care about

[52:25] my mother. Momentum is speeding up. And

[52:27] the more momentum you add to that, the

[52:28] worse you feel. You can get really

[52:30] strong momentum going until you can

[52:32] really hold yourself for a long time out

[52:34] of sorts with who you really are.

[52:36] But now you don't want to do that. You

[52:38] have listened to us, maybe heard a

[52:40] little bit. And so you're saying to

[52:42] yourself, I just want to feel better

[52:44] about this. And I really don't know what

[52:47] the guy was thinking. I don't know what

[52:49] was going on in his world. I don't know.

[52:52] Nobody's really explained to me how he

[52:54] felt. He might have felt broken. He

[52:56] might not have felt like he had anything

[52:58] to offer any of us.

[52:59] He might have felt like we were better

[53:01] off without him. I don't know what he

[53:03] really felt.

[53:04] I do know that he provided an avenue for

[53:07] me into this time-space reality. I'm

[53:10] glad about that.

[53:11] And I do know that I had a lot of

[53:13] contrast early on.

[53:15] And I think that has served me.

[53:17] And I do know that the relief I will

[53:19] feel when I let go of this

[53:22] is going to be pretty significant.

[53:24] And

[53:25] and I don't believe that source is

[53:27] hating him.

[53:28] I don't believe that source is holding

[53:31] him as object of attention and finding

[53:33] what's wrong. Oh, maybe that's why I

[53:36] feel so awful. I have a different

[53:38] opinion with source about my father.

[53:43] >> And when I step out of this form,

[53:47] >> you'll re-emerge into the opinion that

[53:48] source has about everything.

[53:50] >> And what about my father? Will he be

[53:52] there?

[53:52] >> Right there. Oh, right there. Right

[53:54] there.

[53:56] And offering no explanation whatsoever.

[54:02] Don't look for closure.

[54:04] There is no closure. Just keeps opening.

[54:07] You never get to the bottom of anything.

[54:11] Law of attraction just gives you more

[54:12] detail.

[54:14] >> Did I need to have all of that contrast,

[54:17] all of that rage, all of that in order

[54:19] to get to uh

[54:20] >> You didn't need it, but

[54:22] you didn't not want it. You said, "I'll

[54:25] go forth. I'll figure it out. I'm going

[54:28] I'm a teacher, and I'm going to teach a

[54:30] lot of people. And the majority of

[54:32] people aren't born in feathered nests on

[54:35] high-flying discs. The majority of

[54:37] people are born somewhere on the

[54:39] emotional scale. And I'm a teacher, and

[54:41] I'm wanting to write books that assist

[54:43] them, and I can't write what I don't

[54:45] know."

[54:45] >> Wow.

[54:47] You can't imagine what you just touched

[54:48] in me because uh

[54:51] >> [applause]

[54:56] >> Because I've just I've just written a

[54:57] book that's not even published. It won't

[54:59] be out until March.

[55:01] And it's called I Can See Clearly Now.

[55:03] Uh

[55:04] >> Clarity is Esther's new favorite word.

[55:06] >> Yeah.

[55:07] >> Because when you're on that high-flying

[55:08] disc,

[55:09] clarity feels better than

[55:12] anything. To be clear-minded, which

[55:15] means to be sure-footed, to know what to

[55:16] do.

[55:17] >> Yeah.

[55:18] >> The book is I Can See Clearly Now.

[55:20] >> I Can See Clearly Now.

[55:21] Mhm. It's a song, but it's it's also uh

[55:25] It's But I I can't tell you

[55:28] >> everything that I knew before I came

[55:29] forth into this physical body, and so

[55:32] much more that I picked up along my

[55:33] physical trail.

[55:35] All the contrast that I lived put things

[55:37] into my vortex that for a long time I

[55:39] didn't allow myself to see. But now,

[55:43] I'm a vibrational match to everything

[55:44] that I put there, and it's a beautiful

[55:46] world that I have created.

[55:48] I've put enough in my vortex to keep

[55:50] myself busy for 20 or 30 lifetimes.

[55:53] And I'm eager about all of that.

[55:56] I see where the world is going.

[55:58] I see that others have the capacity to

[56:01] do this, too. That no one needs to hold

[56:03] themselves in discomfort and

[56:05] disconnection.

[56:07] That there's no reason for it. The

[56:08] source is right there for all of us,

[56:11] whispering to us, speaking clearly to

[56:13] us.

[56:14] All we have to do is just listen a

[56:15] little.

[56:16] >> That's what I was going to ask you

[56:17] because it's

[56:18] this this what I've done is

[56:21] I've taken

[56:22] the 58 chap- this turns out there's 58

[56:25] chapters and and and each one of them is

[56:27] just a

[56:28] um a look at I'm going along this way

[56:31] and then suddenly I'm making a left turn

[56:33] or right turn or I'm doing a about-face

[56:36] and

[56:37] um and it's like

[56:40] you know, like the first five books that

[56:41] I wrote for the public, uh I never

[56:43] mentioned the word spirit, God,

[56:45] consciousness, higher consciousness,

[56:47] higher was never was mentioned. I wrote

[56:48] books about psychology and all

[56:49] >> They weren't ready.

[56:50] >> Yeah, yeah. And then um

[56:53] I wrote a book uh

[56:55] and I look in the index cuz I was

[56:56] writing this book looking back at it and

[56:58] uh

[56:59] in the next book it was called

[57:02] uh

[57:02] you'll see it when you believe it. And

[57:04] it was uh this like 39 references to

[57:07] that. And then the next book after that

[57:09] has it in the title. And then I'm giving

[57:11] lectures about it and then and it's like

[57:15] is there something is there is there

[57:17] some force in there? I mean, what

[57:20] I made it a dramatic shift one time on

[57:22] the Long Island Expressway.

[57:24] Um I was teaching at at the university

[57:27] in 1976,

[57:29] shortly after the the visit to my

[57:31] father's grave.

[57:32] And I was driving down the LIE and I

[57:36] which means lie.

[57:38] And I pulled off to the side. It was

[57:40] something overwhelming. And I was about

[57:43] to be granted tenure

[57:44] at this university. And now everybody

[57:47] was looking for tenure and wanted

[57:48] tenure. Tenure is like, you know, you

[57:50] got a job here for the rest of your

[57:51] life. You know, you're guaranteed you're

[57:53] going to be staying right here

[57:55] in this office doing the same thing that

[57:58] you've been doing for the last 6 years.

[58:00] And it was like a frightening kind of

[58:02] feeling for me.

[58:03] And and I had to How do you turn down

[58:05] tenure? I mean, it was hard to get it

[58:06] was I was going to be a full professor.

[58:08] I was going to have a guaranteed job

[58:10] for, you know, and all of this and

[58:12] and I pulled off and something just was

[58:14] overwhelming. I mean, I I actually got

[58:16] uh

[58:17] flushed.

[58:18] And I got back in the car. I didn't call

[58:20] my family. I didn't do anything. I drove

[58:21] right to the university, went into the

[58:24] Dean's office. Her name was Sarah

[58:25] Fastenmeier.

[58:27] I said, "Dr. Fastenmeier, I said um

[58:30] this is my last semester. I can't I've

[58:32] written a book. It was called Youronious

[58:34] Sounds. I just took it out. I said, I I

[58:37] can't take this uh and do It was like I

[58:40] can That was one of the chapters and I

[58:42] can see clearly now that moment when I I

[58:45] think, "What What was that? Was that

[58:46] source energy? Was that What What I

[58:48] mean, it's just And from that moment on,

[58:51] I mean, I gave up

[58:52] I gave up all the benefits that you get

[58:55] from being employed with, you know, so

[58:56] many years.

[58:57] >> up bondage.

[58:58] >> Yeah,

[58:59] yeah, I did. And in the first year in

[59:01] the first year that I after I made that

[59:04] decision and allowed that to happen, I

[59:06] made more money in the first year than I

[59:08] had made the previous 36 years of my

[59:10] life.

[59:11] >> That

[59:11] >> And that was just one little aspect of

[59:13] it.

[59:13] >> That's what we meant earlier when we

[59:15] said that everything that you desire is

[59:18] in your vibrational reality. And the

[59:20] source within you knows where it all is

[59:23] and the path of least resistance to lead

[59:25] you to it. And it's not getting to it

[59:28] that is the big deal. It's the path that

[59:30] is so fun along the way.

[59:33] So So, when you

[59:34] really quick So, when you came into this

[59:36] physical body, there was that trajectory

[59:38] that we're talking about, that

[59:39] trajectory of well-being. So, let's say

[59:42] it's a path of least resistance, but

[59:44] it's one of ease, it's one of fun, it's

[59:47] one of following your bliss, it's one of

[59:49] joy. And most of the world doesn't

[59:51] resonate very well with that because you

[59:53] just look lazy to them.

[59:55] So, you take a little tributary where

[59:58] you choose some other things, and you

[1:00:01] give it everything you've got. But, the

[1:00:03] whole time you do it, you can feel that

[1:00:05] this natural path is calling you. And

[1:00:07] sometimes the stakes get pretty strong.

[1:00:10] In other words, you could really feel,

[1:00:12] but the ultimate trajectory of who you

[1:00:14] really are always always wins, you see.

[1:00:18] We just don't know what it takes you all

[1:00:20] so long

[1:00:21] to relax and give in to your natural

[1:00:24] well-being, you see. And what we do know

[1:00:26] it's that you're listening to the others

[1:00:28] who have all the lists of things that

[1:00:31] you need to do in order to please them

[1:00:33] instead of listening to what the source

[1:00:36] within you knows.

[1:00:38] >> You said something before when I said

[1:00:40] you hit a chord with me. It was like I

[1:00:43] If when you read I can see clearly now,

[1:00:45] it's um

[1:00:46] not that you're you need to read. I know

[1:00:48] that you know everything.

[1:00:51] But, uh

[1:00:52] I'm speaking to all the rest of you

[1:00:53] mortals out there.

[1:00:56] The affirmation or the words I am a

[1:00:58] teacher, which you must have said to me

[1:01:00] five or six times before, is throughout

[1:01:03] this entire thing. I'm over and over

[1:01:05] saying these words, I am a teacher. I am

[1:01:07] not an employee. I am not somebody, you

[1:01:10] know, to I'm not to be told where to go

[1:01:12] or how I'm going to do it.

[1:01:15] >> I am an extension of source energy who

[1:01:17] has practiced my vibrational frequency

[1:01:20] into such alignment with my true nature

[1:01:22] that anything less than that feels off

[1:01:25] to me. And because I care about the way

[1:01:27] I feel, I guide myself easily now toward

[1:01:31] the things that feel good. And

[1:01:33] therefore, I am always on my path.

[1:01:36] >> And when the if the things that

[1:01:38] >> book will lead you to yours.

[1:01:40] >> And And the things that feel good, um

[1:01:43] sometimes uh

[1:01:45] we confuse like things like it's safer,

[1:01:48] it's easier, it's

[1:01:49] >> Well, that's And it's like it doesn't

[1:01:50] feel so good inside.

[1:01:52] >> Well, it safer feels better than than

[1:01:55] fear, than danger. And so, it's a step

[1:01:58] in the right direction, but you don't

[1:02:00] want to hang around

[1:02:02] reaching for safety because

[1:02:04] you can get a vibration going and then

[1:02:07] everything that's about that just shows

[1:02:09] itself to you.

[1:02:10] In other words, this is a

[1:02:12] self course that you're all on. And

[1:02:16] you have source energy guiding you every

[1:02:19] step of the way.

[1:02:21] And when you find something that feels

[1:02:22] good, go that way.

[1:02:26] >> I had a

[1:02:27] a great teacher in my life. I was

[1:02:28] studying early to be a a Youngian

[1:02:30] analyst, Carl Jung.

[1:02:32] And he said this, and I had to ask you

[1:02:34] this.

[1:02:36] He said at the same moment

[1:02:38] that you're a protagonist in your own

[1:02:40] life and you're making choices,

[1:02:42] at the very same moment, you're also the

[1:02:45] spear carrier or the extra

[1:02:47] in a much larger drama.

[1:02:49] He said, "All of you are doomed

[1:02:52] to make choices."

[1:02:54] And it sounds like such a

[1:02:56] contrast. It's such like a like it's

[1:02:58] like that's not a possibility. If you're

[1:02:59] doomed, how could you be making choices?

[1:03:01] But within our physical bodies, we're

[1:03:03] doomed. I mean,

[1:03:05] Esther showed up in a female body of a

[1:03:08] certain height and certain color hair

[1:03:09] and certain things, and and I showed up

[1:03:11] in a 6-foot-1 male body, and and its

[1:03:15] hair is falling out and growing in its

[1:03:16] ears and all of the crazy things that

[1:03:18] are happening to it and I'm just

[1:03:19] watching it. And so I know that within a

[1:03:22] but I also have choices to make about

[1:03:24] this body. I can feed it well, I can

[1:03:26] exercise it, I can you know, do so many

[1:03:28] things to So I'm making choices within

[1:03:30] sort of a doomed state. But what about

[1:03:32] the other stuff part of us? The

[1:03:34] spiritual side of us, the the uh

[1:03:36] >> Well, we can see how someone who is

[1:03:38] trying to explain to someone who's not

[1:03:41] in this moment on the high-flying disc.

[1:03:43] >> Right.

[1:03:44] >> In other words, if someone's having a

[1:03:45] really hard time,

[1:03:46] we understand why someone would use

[1:03:49] words like doomed.

[1:03:51] >> Right. Doomed He didn't mean it in a,

[1:03:53] you know,

[1:03:54] >> Meaning meaning unwanted choices.

[1:03:56] Meaning Meaning that there are unwanted

[1:03:59] choices.

[1:04:00] But what we have noticed is that

[1:04:04] as you have the

[1:04:06] long and longer and longer opportunity

[1:04:09] to sift through the details of your life

[1:04:11] and personal preferences are born within

[1:04:14] you.

[1:04:15] Did you become

[1:04:17] clearer and clearer about who you are

[1:04:19] and what you want.

[1:04:20] And then that's usually when we begin

[1:04:22] meeting

[1:04:23] our physical friends because they're

[1:04:25] usually at the point where they know

[1:04:28] that they

[1:04:29] or they want to believe that they are

[1:04:30] the creator of their own reality. They

[1:04:32] just don't know how to go about it.

[1:04:36] This is a new conversation that we are

[1:04:37] having recently

[1:04:39] because

[1:04:42] we want we so much want our physical

[1:04:44] friends to understand

[1:04:46] that you come as non-physical energy

[1:04:49] to explore contrast more than you would

[1:04:54] in other words, in your physical body

[1:04:55] you explore the contrast more than we do

[1:04:58] from the our non-physical vantage point.

[1:05:01] And out of that comes more detail, more

[1:05:05] improvement about this physical

[1:05:06] time-space reality. The evolution of all

[1:05:09] species is

[1:05:11] dependent upon that contrasted

[1:05:14] experience.

[1:05:15] But when humans explore contrast and

[1:05:19] then want to compare manifestations,

[1:05:22] these are good manifestations, these are

[1:05:24] bad manifestations, these are

[1:05:25] manifestations that we want you to

[1:05:27] pursue, these are manifestations that we

[1:05:29] don't want you to pursue, and we need to

[1:05:31] come to some form of agreement which

[1:05:33] defies the intention that you all held

[1:05:35] when you came into your physical form,

[1:05:38] then you just become shortage

[1:05:39] consciousness. Then you just become sort

[1:05:42] of

[1:05:44] fighting over the spoils rather than

[1:05:46] tapping into the energy that creates

[1:05:47] worlds and really loving the life that

[1:05:49] you've come to live.

[1:05:51] So, we get it that

[1:05:54] from a place of not feeling good, that

[1:05:56] you could measure all kinds of not

[1:05:58] feeling good and separate it into all

[1:06:00] kinds of distinct um categories, but we

[1:06:05] would like you to just for a little

[1:06:07] while accept that you are vibration.

[1:06:10] Accept that you are source energy in

[1:06:12] physical bodies.

[1:06:13] Accept that you are offering a vibration

[1:06:16] and that that vibration is being

[1:06:17] responded to by law of attraction.

[1:06:20] Accept that you can feel the opinion of

[1:06:22] source and the opinion of your

[1:06:24] vibration, of your focused consciousness

[1:06:27] in every moment and every every day, and

[1:06:29] that you can bring yourself back online

[1:06:32] with who you really are and what you

[1:06:34] came to live. Now, that sounds a little

[1:06:36] bit like

[1:06:38] you're a puppet on a string and that

[1:06:39] source energy is already defined what

[1:06:41] you're supposed to live, and that isn't

[1:06:42] what we mean at all because all this

[1:06:45] sifting and sorting has caused you to

[1:06:46] expand and your inner being has become

[1:06:50] the equivalent, the vibrationally

[1:06:51] equivalent of all of that expansion. So,

[1:06:54] there is nothing that you have lived

[1:06:57] that the larger part of you has not

[1:06:59] become.

[1:07:00] And when you care about the way you

[1:07:01] feel, now you can become it here and

[1:07:04] now, and when you do, the first thing

[1:07:07] you feel is clarity. Clarity about which

[1:07:10] way to go, clarity about whether to do

[1:07:12] this or not, clarity about whether to

[1:07:14] have this conversation, clarity about

[1:07:16] whether to go that way or that way,

[1:07:18] clarity about whether to invest with

[1:07:20] that, whether to marry that, clarity

[1:07:22] because broader perspective knows who

[1:07:25] you are, knows everything about you, and

[1:07:27] is offering a very strong, very clear

[1:07:30] opinion.

[1:07:32] But you got to practice tuning into it

[1:07:34] if you want that kind of guidance. And

[1:07:36] the alternative is really miserable

[1:07:37] because your physical friends are all

[1:07:39] wanting different things from you, you

[1:07:41] see. Go this way, go this way, go this

[1:07:43] way, go this way, go this way.

[1:07:44] >> If you're off that path, if you if if

[1:07:46] you know that

[1:07:47] you have a dharma, you have a destiny,

[1:07:49] you have this something, I don't know

[1:07:50] you're you're a great artist, you're for

[1:07:52] me it was a teacher, for me it was a

[1:07:53] writer, for me it was a expe- These are

[1:07:55] things that I've

[1:07:56] >> For you, it is an uplifter. For you, it

[1:07:59] is a keeper of the light so that others

[1:08:02] may find it.

[1:08:03] >> But when I got off that path

[1:08:05] when I got it when I would get away from

[1:08:07] it, you know, um

[1:08:09] some of the most profound and changes in

[1:08:11] my life came when I was at the those

[1:08:13] lowest places in

[1:08:15] >> Because when you you don't know what you

[1:08:16] do want until you know what you don't

[1:08:18] want. And some of that contrast launches

[1:08:20] some really big rockets. And it put you

[1:08:22] in touch with your emotional guidance

[1:08:23] system so that you can tell when you're

[1:08:25] on and when you're off.

[1:08:27] >> Is this is is this source energy,

[1:08:29] whatever it's like if it finds if you

[1:08:32] you're programmed, if you will, or

[1:08:34] whatever it is that you

[1:08:36] you have something that you're to

[1:08:37] accomplish here, you know, in in this

[1:08:39] time and

[1:08:39] >> it's not like that.

[1:08:41] >> I know accomplish isn't the right word,

[1:08:42] but it's like

[1:08:42] >> You have come for freedom, growth, and

[1:08:45] joy.

[1:08:45] >> And when you're away from that, when

[1:08:46] you're on a path that's taking you away

[1:08:48] from freedom, from joy, from love

[1:08:51] >> Yeah.

[1:08:52] But does does

[1:08:54] does divine guidance come into your life

[1:08:57] at that time and say, "Okay

[1:08:58] >> No, divine guidance is in your life all

[1:09:00] the time.

[1:09:02] All the time, all the time. Divine

[1:09:04] guidance never goes away. It's just that

[1:09:06] the contrast makes you listen more.

[1:09:07] >> Yeah. I listen to

[1:09:09] >> Esther Esther has found alignment that

[1:09:12] she never knew was there for her because

[1:09:14] of the discomfort she felt in Jerry

[1:09:17] making this transition.

[1:09:18] >> Right.

[1:09:20] >> Didn't even know it was possible.

[1:09:22] Miserable at first, worth it now.

[1:09:25] >> Yeah.

[1:09:26] I was

[1:09:28] being interviewed by the New York Times

[1:09:29] and Arthur Miller was there and Arthur

[1:09:31] Miller was a great American playwright,

[1:09:33] you know.

[1:09:34] Most of you know the

[1:09:35] Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, and

[1:09:37] so on. He was 91 years old.

[1:09:39] And he was asked the question by the

[1:09:41] interviewer, "Are are you working on

[1:09:42] another play?" He was 91 years old.

[1:09:45] And he said uh and I've never forgotten

[1:09:47] this cuz it it really resonated with me.

[1:09:49] He said

[1:09:50] he said, "I don't know, but I probably

[1:09:52] am."

[1:09:54] Meaning, I think that uh

[1:09:57] that there's something else moving these

[1:09:58] checkers around in this checker game

[1:10:00] that we're playing. That uh that

[1:10:02] >> Well,

[1:10:03] here's the thing and then we'll take a

[1:10:04] segment of refreshment. You have been

[1:10:07] asking

[1:10:09] and you've put your preferences into a

[1:10:11] vibrational reality that you are not

[1:10:13] cashing in yet.

[1:10:15] So,

[1:10:16] yes, he's going to write another play.

[1:10:18] It's already there. And when he stops

[1:10:21] talking about how tired he is and stops

[1:10:24] fussing over how incorrectly they handle

[1:10:27] his material and gets a good night's

[1:10:29] sleep, he'll wake up with an impression

[1:10:32] or an inspiration and off he'll go

[1:10:33] again.

[1:10:34] >> Exactly what I did with this last book.

[1:10:35] On the day on June the 26th, I announced

[1:10:38] to my kids that I'm not writing any more

[1:10:40] books. I'm done writing. I've done

[1:10:41] enough. I've got it I don't have to

[1:10:43] prove myself. I've done 40 books and so

[1:10:45] on. June 27th, I was I woke up and I was

[1:10:48] right and I

[1:10:49] five months I wrote morning, noon, and

[1:10:51] night until I put my neck out of joint.

[1:10:53] I mean, I could not stop the writing.

[1:10:55] just

[1:10:55] >> to accept that your vortex has enough

[1:10:57] content in it to keep you busy for 20 or

[1:10:59] 30 lifetimes. And as long as you're

[1:11:01] having fun, then isn't that the point?

[1:11:04] >> Yeah, it was fun. It was just great joy.

[1:11:06] Great joy. As it is to be with you.

[1:11:08] >> We're enjoying this immensely. Really

[1:11:10] good time for a segment of refreshment.

[1:11:13] >> [applause]

[1:11:18] [music]

[1:11:19] [applause]

[1:11:30] >> Let's talk about money blocks.

[1:11:33] And

[1:11:34] again, if you've read any of my books,

[1:11:37] podcast, anything, it's the same stuff.

[1:11:40] But,

[1:11:42] new level,

[1:11:44] new devil, right? So, you can do it

[1:11:46] either way. So, David Neagle, I always

[1:11:49] This is the first time I heard him say

[1:11:50] it, new level, new devil, right? You get

[1:11:52] to a new level, new gremlins come up.

[1:11:55] But, I actually think it's the old

[1:11:57] devils that the things you have to watch

[1:11:59] out for.

[1:12:00] Because the same money block that you

[1:12:02] start with at the start of your business

[1:12:05] will follow you and continue to be

[1:12:08] there. It will just be in slightly

[1:12:10] different ways. So, my big one at the

[1:12:13] start was always like, you know, people

[1:12:14] are going to think I'm too big for my

[1:12:16] boots.

[1:12:17] And that comes up again and again and

[1:12:18] again for me. It's always the same

[1:12:20] thing. And so, a big trigger for me,

[1:12:23] like when I was at the um

[1:12:25] event in

[1:12:26] uh in March,

[1:12:28] I was like really being super helpful

[1:12:31] and trying to just, you know, be like,

[1:12:33] "I'm here. Whatever you need." to the

[1:12:35] organizers. And even the yesterday, I

[1:12:38] almost did it again. The um the people

[1:12:41] who did out the tables, they left out

[1:12:43] one row of tables and there was like 180

[1:12:46] seats, right? And so, I was like ready

[1:12:48] to like pull chairs out and do all the

[1:12:51] things because my thing's like, I am so

[1:12:53] down-to-earth.

[1:12:54] I am so humble and I'm so down-to-earth.

[1:12:57] And so, um at this event in March,

[1:13:00] people are like, "Oh my god, Denise, you

[1:13:01] are so humble and down-to-earth." I was

[1:13:02] like, "Well, I'm going TO BE EVEN MORE."

[1:13:05] LIKE, "WHAT CAN I DO? Let me do the

[1:13:07] things." And

[1:13:09] I think there's a point I'm always like,

[1:13:11] "Oh no, now I can't make any more money

[1:13:12] cuz now I won't be humble and

[1:13:14] down-to-earth anymore."

[1:13:15] But I thought that from like

[1:13:18] the first couple of dollars that I made

[1:13:20] in my business. Does that make sense?

[1:13:22] So, you might think there's a certain

[1:13:24] amount of income where you're like, "Oh,

[1:13:26] I won't have that block anymore." You

[1:13:28] will. It'll be the same block.

[1:13:32] So, that's the one you have to watch out

[1:13:34] for.

[1:13:35] Um

[1:13:36] yeah. And you know, the whole thing too

[1:13:38] about fear,

[1:13:40] it never goes away.

[1:13:42] You're always going to be scared in some

[1:13:43] way. What scares you today won't scare

[1:13:45] you tomorrow. That's always a good thing

[1:13:47] to hang on to, but there will always be

[1:13:49] fear. And so, absence of goal Sorry,

[1:13:52] absence of fear is not your goal.

[1:13:54] That's not what we're trying to do.

[1:13:56] You're never going to get to a point

[1:13:57] where you're like, "Oh, no fear.

[1:13:58] Brilliant." Um

[1:14:01] yeah.

[1:14:02] Good news, bad news, right?

[1:14:03] Okay, so

[1:14:05] number one block for so many people,

[1:14:09] I have to work really hard to make

[1:14:11] money.

[1:14:12] Now, this has come

[1:14:14] from different areas for different

[1:14:16] people, okay? This could come from your

[1:14:18] background, it could come from the

[1:14:20] country you grew up in, the city you

[1:14:22] grew up in, the era you grew up in.

[1:14:25] We'll talk about a little bit of that in

[1:14:26] a sec.

[1:14:27] But this is just such a common block for

[1:14:29] so many of so many of us, right?

[1:14:32] Especially since most of us grew up in a

[1:14:36] time pre-internet.

[1:14:38] Okay? I'm sure there's some young

[1:14:39] whippersnappers here. You all look very

[1:14:41] young and fabulous.

[1:14:43] But do you know what I mean? Like when

[1:14:45] when you were growing up, like making

[1:14:47] money is like you

[1:14:49] you sell one thing, you sell an hour of

[1:14:51] your time. Like there's no there was no

[1:14:53] way to leverage anything, let alone our

[1:14:58] imaginations, right? And so now we live

[1:15:00] in this world where it's like, oh, you

[1:15:02] can get paid multiple times

[1:15:05] for your intellectual property, for who

[1:15:07] you are. But it doesn't it kind of just

[1:15:08] break your brain a little bit?

[1:15:10] It doesn't quite compute and we're in

[1:15:12] the industry of personal development and

[1:15:15] and possibility. So that can get

[1:15:18] reinforced by other people in our life.

[1:15:20] Well, how are you making money?

[1:15:22] Are you qualified to do that?

[1:15:24] And it just reinforces this thing of

[1:15:26] like, oh, an honest day's work for an

[1:15:28] honest day's pay. Another day, another

[1:15:31] dollar. And it doesn't quite compute to

[1:15:33] our

[1:15:34] beautiful little brains

[1:15:36] that it can be leveraged.

[1:15:38] You know, and I I know I've I've said

[1:15:40] this a million times, too, but when I

[1:15:42] first um was selling my first ebook,

[1:15:46] I really felt like, hi Natasha. Um that

[1:15:48] I had to every person who bought it, I

[1:15:51] had to call them and read it to them

[1:15:53] over the phone.

[1:15:55] No, I'm serious. Does it Do you

[1:15:57] understand? Has anyone felt that as

[1:15:59] well? Because I was like, it doesn't

[1:16:01] make sense that someone is paying me

[1:16:05] money for something that I did 2 years

[1:16:08] ago.

[1:16:09] It was like, where's the connection

[1:16:11] here?

[1:16:12] And so we need to be okay with that it's

[1:16:16] safe for me to make leveraged money.

[1:16:19] It's safe for me to make money when I'm

[1:16:20] sleeping. It's safe for me to make money

[1:16:23] from things I've already done. It's safe

[1:16:25] for me to make money from things that

[1:16:27] are really easy for me.

[1:16:29] It's safe for me to make money from

[1:16:31] things that are really obvious to me

[1:16:33] and not from someone else. So who do you

[1:16:36] Who thinks they this is their probably

[1:16:38] number one block?

[1:16:39] That I have to work really hard.

[1:16:41] Okay, so it could be showing up in a few

[1:16:43] different ways for you. So, burning

[1:16:45] yourself out,

[1:16:47] doing too much stuff, reinventing the

[1:16:49] wheel is part of this as well. Oh,

[1:16:51] that's too easy and obvious. Now I have

[1:16:52] to make it really complicated.

[1:16:55] Anyone do that? Oh, yeah.

[1:16:57] Um I'm a little bit better at it now,

[1:16:59] but I'll tell you who's not so good at

[1:17:01] it.

[1:17:08] Mark likes to reinvent the wheel because

[1:17:10] he's got this work ethic.

[1:17:13] You know, and I get that. Who is really

[1:17:15] prides themselves on their work ethic?

[1:17:18] Me, too. Had four jobs at university.

[1:17:21] Like I I'm a hard worker. And it's hard

[1:17:24] to get out of that mentality. Who comes

[1:17:27] from a family of like hard workers?

[1:17:30] Yeah.

[1:17:31] And I I really find that this can be

[1:17:33] really amplified in certain

[1:17:35] circumstances. So, if your parents are

[1:17:37] immigrants, for example, and had to work

[1:17:39] really hard, um you know,

[1:17:42] especially if you've come from a family

[1:17:44] who um comes from a family who owned a

[1:17:46] restaurant or a shop or something like

[1:17:47] that.

[1:17:49] Okay, so how weird does it feel? Oh, I

[1:17:52] can just make money talking to people.

[1:17:54] Just doing it playing on the internet.

[1:17:57] Um you know, who came from a family um

[1:18:00] of like laborers?

[1:18:02] Okay, so how how weird does that feel?

[1:18:05] Can just make money from

[1:18:06] my imagination? That doesn't feel

[1:18:09] appropriate or ethical. Um

[1:18:12] my mom had me at 17. She always had

[1:18:16] manual labor jobs, so she cleaned

[1:18:18] houses.

[1:18:20] Um you know, she didn't have a lot of

[1:18:21] choice in those kind of things. And so

[1:18:23] when I that first year that I started

[1:18:26] making money, you know, someone paid me

[1:18:28] $500 to go speak at a workshop.

[1:18:31] And I was just like, "Oh my god, this is

[1:18:33] so cool." And mom was like, "That's my

[1:18:36] weekly salary at the nursing home."

[1:18:39] And she was a assistant nurse. So, you

[1:18:42] know, it's doing the bed pans and doing

[1:18:45] the really hard work. And I honestly

[1:18:47] felt like

[1:18:49] Because I went, "Who am I

[1:18:52] to make $500

[1:18:55] to go speak to people

[1:18:57] and my mom has to do a week's worth

[1:18:59] getting up at 4:30 in the morning and

[1:19:02] doing real work for that?"

[1:19:04] Okay?

[1:19:06] Here in the UK, I feel like it's really

[1:19:08] even more amplified because you have the

[1:19:10] NHS.

[1:19:12] You have all of these hard-working

[1:19:14] nurses and doctors in the NHS, and it's

[1:19:17] almost like this extra layer of guilt.

[1:19:20] Who am I to do something that I love?

[1:19:23] Um who else really feels that too of um

[1:19:28] uh especially people who have a really

[1:19:29] big heart, you see poverty

[1:19:32] in this country as well.

[1:19:34] You see poverty and you just think, "Who

[1:19:36] am I

[1:19:37] to do this?" And so, then you over

[1:19:41] deliver.

[1:19:42] You burn yourself out because you're

[1:19:43] trying to justify it, right? It's like,

[1:19:46] "Well, I might be making money, but I'm

[1:19:48] going to I'll burn myself out for it.

[1:19:50] I'll really earn it." And I have to

[1:19:52] watch this all the time. I really do. Um

[1:19:56] uh and that could be over delivering for

[1:19:58] a particular client. Who does that? Just

[1:20:01] put up your hand if you over deliver

[1:20:02] with clients and you know you do.

[1:20:03] Okay. So, um put your hand back up if

[1:20:06] it's with time. Over delivering with

[1:20:08] time. Such a common one, right? My

[1:20:11] 1-hour sessions would turn into 3-hour

[1:20:13] sessions cuz I'd be like, "Let me solve

[1:20:16] every problem of your life."

[1:20:18] Um let me give. Um what about just over

[1:20:21] delivering in terms of stuff? Maybe

[1:20:23] you're really gifty, yep.

[1:20:25] Or, you know, they order one thing and

[1:20:28] you put five things in there. Okay,

[1:20:30] cool. I see you.

[1:20:32] That's fine. Um

[1:20:34] too many offerings. That can also be a

[1:20:36] thing, too, right? Of let me be

[1:20:39] everything to you. Let me solve every

[1:20:42] problem of your life. Um especially if

[1:20:44] you're a like a jack-of-all-trades kind

[1:20:47] of person. Who's a jack-of-all-trades in

[1:20:49] here? Yeah, me, too. And so we're just

[1:20:51] like, well, if I can, I should. So let

[1:20:53] me solve your problem. And actually, a

[1:20:55] friend of mine, Victoria Gibson, who is

[1:20:57] an amazing business coach, I remember

[1:20:59] she would be she would do it Facebook

[1:21:01] ads for people, and then she'd go,

[1:21:04] but their website copy is really

[1:21:05] so I'll just change that. Oh, their

[1:21:07] graphics are not that great. I'll just

[1:21:09] change that. Oh, their pages are loading

[1:21:11] really slowly. Let me just get in the

[1:21:12] back end and fix that. And she would

[1:21:15] just do it all for them. And sometimes

[1:21:18] that's not the best thing for your

[1:21:19] clients, but often it comes from this

[1:21:22] place of, well, I have to work really

[1:21:23] hard to justify it. Especially again, if

[1:21:26] you have any guilt around your prices.

[1:21:29] Or thinking, oh, who am I to charge

[1:21:30] that?

[1:21:32] Um doing too many things in general,

[1:21:34] feeling guilty about success or money.

[1:21:37] That's a huge one. Who's had some like

[1:21:39] financial success, you know, in the last

[1:21:41] couple of years?

[1:21:43] And it's let's be honest, doesn't it

[1:21:45] feel

[1:21:46] icky sometimes and weird? Because

[1:21:51] money makes people weird sometimes. So

[1:21:54] other people might be projecting stuff

[1:21:56] onto you.

[1:21:58] You might be just feeling it in yourself

[1:22:00] for a variety of different reasons. Um

[1:22:03] and it can just it's one of those things

[1:22:06] you just have to do that new level, old

[1:22:08] devil thing. It's safe for me to make

[1:22:09] money. It's safe for me. And it could be

[1:22:12] that

[1:22:13] I don't know, you you sabotage it.

[1:22:16] Um or moving on to the next thing too

[1:22:17] quickly. Who's guilty of this? This is

[1:22:19] totally me.

[1:22:20] Um I'll have a friend go, oh my god,

[1:22:22] your launch was so great. You must be so

[1:22:23] I'm like, what launch?

[1:22:26] What are you talking about? Um and

[1:22:28] they're like,

[1:22:30] "Your big launch that you just had." And

[1:22:31] I was like, "Oh,

[1:22:33] yeah."

[1:22:34] I'm on to the next thing. I'm just into

[1:22:36] my next thing. Actually, I do want to

[1:22:38] celebrate one thing. So, I think it's on

[1:22:40] Monday, my house um settles, my the

[1:22:43] beach house that Mark and I built, which

[1:22:45] Mark actually did most of the building

[1:22:47] stuff for it. And it was the house that

[1:22:50] Lucky built.

[1:22:51] You know? And it sold, it was the record

[1:22:54] price in Newcastle.

[1:22:57] It sold for um 11 million and 50. 11

[1:23:00] million, yeah.

[1:23:01] Thank you.

[1:23:03] THANK YOU.

[1:23:03] >> [applause]

[1:23:06] >> AND FOR I MEAN, FOR THAT FOR THAT WEEK,

[1:23:08] IT WAS THE highest sale in Australia,

[1:23:10] but broke the record for Newcastle. And

[1:23:13] you know, again, that was one of those

[1:23:15] things people are like, "Oh my god,

[1:23:16] you're" And I was like,

[1:23:17] "Oh, yeah, I guess."

[1:23:20] And it's just that that part of my

[1:23:22] personality of like, it doesn't count.

[1:23:26] You know, it doesn't count, move on.

[1:23:28] I've got more things to do. I'm so busy.

[1:23:30] And you know, so we'll hopefully we'll

[1:23:32] celebrate it on Monday

[1:23:34] um when the money clears. But, you know,

[1:23:36] it's just one of those things of like,

[1:23:38] not celebrating stuff is a symptom of

[1:23:41] this money block. I have to work really

[1:23:43] hard to make money.

[1:23:45] And or it doesn't count, but you know

[1:23:46] what? It doesn't count anyway, no matter

[1:23:48] how hard I work. So, that could be one

[1:23:50] of it's just like, it's safe for me to

[1:23:52] make money with ease.

[1:23:54] That could be that could be your

[1:23:55] challenge. Safe for me to make money

[1:23:57] with ease.

[1:23:59] Okay. Number two. Oh, so by the way,

[1:24:01] sorry. Um I'll come back to the number

[1:24:03] one, but if you're a ruler in money

[1:24:05] money archetypes, that's your thing.

[1:24:08] It's rulers. Um but, it can come up for

[1:24:10] some of the other archetypes, too.

[1:24:12] Uh accumulators, you can be

[1:24:14] perfectionists, right? So, it might come

[1:24:17] up for you. Okay, so number two. Who has

[1:24:19] this one? I can help people

[1:24:22] or I can make money

[1:24:23] but never both.

[1:24:25] Or you're evil. Who's got that one?

[1:24:28] Okay, not as many people, but hear me on

[1:24:31] this because this often comes up um

[1:24:35] definitely way more in female-dominated

[1:24:37] spaces than male-dominated spaces.

[1:24:39] You'll find that um if you do go to a

[1:24:41] lot of male-dominated conferences,

[1:24:43] they don't really talk about money guilt

[1:24:45] that much. They're just like, "Yeah,

[1:24:47] make money."

[1:24:48] Um

[1:24:49] but also in different professions. So,

[1:24:51] who Do we have anyone in the room here

[1:24:53] who's uh like in a woo-woo spiritual

[1:24:56] kind of profession? Okay, quite a few of

[1:24:58] you.

[1:24:59] So, you might have heard this from some

[1:25:01] of your clients. It's not spiritual

[1:25:04] to charge for your gifts. Or, you know,

[1:25:07] this should be free. And that can be

[1:25:09] really hard because often

[1:25:12] they're the people with the biggest

[1:25:13] hearts and you really want to help

[1:25:14] people, but it just

[1:25:17] you have that feeling, I can't charge

[1:25:19] for this. Anyone in like a

[1:25:20] health-related field?

[1:25:23] Okay, cool. So, we might have physios in

[1:25:25] the room. Yeah? What's yours?

[1:25:28] Physio, exactly. Uh what else?

[1:25:32] Osteopath. Okay, so it's dealing with

[1:25:34] people's health,

[1:25:35] right? And so that layers the guilt on

[1:25:38] even more.

[1:25:39] Funerals.

[1:25:41] Yeah.

[1:25:42] But that's big, right? That's absolutely

[1:25:44] big cuz it's like I'm dealing with

[1:25:46] people when they're in pain and grief

[1:25:49] and they're hurting and I can fix it.

[1:25:52] Not You can't fix it necessarily, but

[1:25:54] you can make it nicer.

[1:25:57] Um

[1:25:58] and so then there's that feeling of

[1:25:59] everybody should be able to have this

[1:26:02] information. Everybody should be able to

[1:26:04] have healing. Everyone should be able to

[1:26:06] feel better. And that can be such a

[1:26:08] guilt trip, right? And, you know, I

[1:26:12] always talk about things about leverage.

[1:26:14] For example, if you can write a book,

[1:26:15] [clears throat]

[1:26:16] you can help heaps more people, you

[1:26:18] know? But if you're burning yourself

[1:26:19] out, how many people can you really How

[1:26:22] many people can you really help? What

[1:26:23] other industries have that kind of

[1:26:25] guilt?

[1:26:26] Yeah.

[1:26:27] >> A child therapist.

[1:26:28] >> A child therapist.

[1:26:30] Yeah. Anyone else in the therapy mental

[1:26:32] Yeah.

[1:26:34] So, you want to help people, you know?

[1:26:36] And especially when you see people who

[1:26:38] maybe can't afford it, and you know that

[1:26:40] there's such a great need out there.

[1:26:42] Um what else? Other professions? Yeah.

[1:26:45] >> It could be

[1:26:46] a specialist in community work.

[1:26:48] >> Oh, okay. So,

[1:26:49] helping teenagers.

[1:26:51] >> Social work.

[1:26:54] >> Yes.

[1:26:55] Yeah, exactly. So, helping teenagers,

[1:26:58] helping, you know, vulnerable

[1:27:00] populations.

[1:27:01] This can be really big. And so, that's

[1:27:04] when it starts to show up who is doing

[1:27:06] some bartering. So, it's when instead of

[1:27:09] um paying someone, you swap services.

[1:27:11] Who does bartering in here?

[1:27:13] Okay, sometimes it can be great. I'm not

[1:27:15] saying never ever ever do it, but it can

[1:27:18] often set up this wishy-washy energy,

[1:27:21] where you just not open for business.

[1:27:24] And sometimes it attracts more people

[1:27:26] who also don't want to pay you. And so,

[1:27:30] you know, even if it's with another

[1:27:31] practitioner, pay each other. And that's

[1:27:33] what I learned from my money mentor,

[1:27:34] Kendall Summerhawk. She said it should

[1:27:37] never be inconvenient to exchange money.

[1:27:41] And I was like, I just remembered that

[1:27:42] so much, cuz it's like, well, if we

[1:27:43] value each other, let's pay each other.

[1:27:46] Especially, um you know, if you want to

[1:27:48] buy a house later on, you you want to

[1:27:51] have that on your on your records, you

[1:27:52] know? Those are the things that

[1:27:53] disadvantage women, especially again and

[1:27:55] again.

[1:27:56] Discounting. Who's discounting without

[1:27:59] even being asked sometimes?

[1:28:00] >> Yeah.

[1:28:01] >> It's big. Because of guilt, right? We

[1:28:03] want to help people.

[1:28:04] Um

[1:28:05] over-delivering. Again, this is a one of

[1:28:08] these things. Under-charging.

[1:28:11] Okay? Um working for free.

[1:28:15] Especially, you know, when people are

[1:28:17] like, "Oh, come and speak at a, you

[1:28:19] know, women's empowerment event."

[1:28:21] For free.

[1:28:23] And I've done it so many I felt so

[1:28:25] guilty about it. And then someone said

[1:28:26] to me, "You know what? The caterer is

[1:28:29] being paid. The cleaner is getting paid.

[1:28:32] The venue is getting paid. The AV guy is

[1:28:35] getting paid. Everyone's getting paid

[1:28:36] except for you. What message is that

[1:28:38] sending?" And I was like, "Yeah, that's

[1:28:41] true." Especially when, you know,

[1:28:44] no one's coming to see the cleaner. They

[1:28:46] do an important job, but I I've done

[1:28:49] that because I felt guilty. Cuz I was

[1:28:51] like, "Well, of course I care about

[1:28:52] women's empowerment. Of course I do."

[1:28:55] Yeah. What are the industries? Wedding

[1:28:56] industry?

[1:28:58] You know? And again, everyone else is

[1:29:00] getting paid, but somehow it's the

[1:29:01] creatives that feel guilty about it,

[1:29:03] right? Yeah. Exactly. I've heard from

[1:29:06] makeup artists,

[1:29:07] you know, hair people for weddings.

[1:29:09] They're not charging cancellation fees,

[1:29:11] but hotels do. Hotels will get you every

[1:29:14] time. Um,

[1:29:16] it could be that you're

[1:29:19] attracting codependent clients.

[1:29:21] Cuz you feel guilty. You want to help

[1:29:22] everyone. So, you become a magnet for

[1:29:24] people like that.

[1:29:26] Um, who is slow to invoice?

[1:29:29] Don't be a shy to Yeah.

[1:29:31] It's a big thing, right? Because of that

[1:29:33] guilt. What's going on in your mind when

[1:29:35] you're slow to invoice?

[1:29:37] What if they think it's too expensive?

[1:29:40] What if they think it's not worth it?

[1:29:42] Um, what if they think I'm a

[1:29:44] for talking about money?

[1:29:46] Um,

[1:29:48] feeling guilty about charging in

[1:29:49] general. Hating to chase clients for

[1:29:52] default payments, late payments,

[1:29:54] cancellation payments.

[1:29:56] Feeling resentful or unappreciated.

[1:29:58] That's a really big sign. And fear

[1:30:00] setting boundaries. Who hates setting

[1:30:02] boundaries?

[1:30:04] Yeah, it's it can be tricky, right? It

[1:30:06] can be really, really tricky, But it

[1:30:08] comes from this I can help people or

[1:30:10] make money but not both. So I want you

[1:30:13] to say it's safe for me to charge.

[1:30:16] Say that aloud. It's safe for me to

[1:30:17] charge.

[1:30:19] To help people.

[1:30:22] And when I say these affirmations,

[1:30:25] sometimes it does not feel good.

[1:30:27] It does not feel good and it's an

[1:30:29] acclimatization

[1:30:31] to help yourself feel better about it.

[1:30:34] Okay, so the third big money block

[1:30:37] is more money, more problems.

[1:30:40] And it's this idea it I think it's both,

[1:30:43] right? It's like this idea that if you

[1:30:44] make more money

[1:30:46] there's some bad stuff that's going to

[1:30:48] happen.

[1:30:49] But also it's almost this thing of like

[1:30:54] I have to be perfect to make money.

[1:30:57] You know, and so I want the good news

[1:30:58] and the bad news is however you are now,

[1:31:01] you'll be like that with money.

[1:31:04] For good and bad.

[1:31:06] Really. And so sometimes we think oh,

[1:31:08] I've got to be perfect to earn it and to

[1:31:11] keep it. And we're just kind of pushing

[1:31:14] it away. It's like here's, you know, you

[1:31:16] with all your flaws and then here's this

[1:31:18] perfect version of yourself that is

[1:31:20] magically perfect all the time.

[1:31:23] And you're just pushing them away all

[1:31:26] the time because it's never going to be

[1:31:28] you. So whatever

[1:31:30] like good and bad traits you have now,

[1:31:33] it'll just be the same with more money.

[1:31:35] Who doesn't believe me though?

[1:31:37] Now put up your hand if you think no,

[1:31:38] no, no, I'll definitely be perfect with

[1:31:40] more money.

[1:31:43] Yeah? Yeah. I'll definitely be a nicer

[1:31:45] person with more money.

[1:31:48] Yes. [laughter]

[1:31:49] I'll definitely be a more patient mother

[1:31:51] with more money.

[1:31:56] I will never um

[1:31:58] yeah.

[1:31:59] I will never pick my nose or fart with

[1:32:01] more money.

[1:32:03] Never.

[1:32:04] Um and so there's this fear of like more

[1:32:07] money, more problems. So, who honestly

[1:32:09] has a fear about taxman?

[1:32:12] Yeah.

[1:32:14] It's a big fear. If I make more money,

[1:32:15] I'll have to pay more tax. And it's just

[1:32:18] such a like it could be just in the back

[1:32:20] of your mind and it stops you from

[1:32:22] making more money because you fear

[1:32:24] what's on the other side. You fear what

[1:32:26] other people will say about you. You'll

[1:32:28] fear um what it will mean about

[1:32:30] yourself.

[1:32:32] You'll fear maybe

[1:32:34] I don't know, other people judging you.

[1:32:36] And so these things could be happening.

[1:32:37] You're spending all your money. You're

[1:32:38] sabotaging your business. You're

[1:32:40] avoiding paperwork.

[1:32:42] I mean, you have to register for VAT

[1:32:44] here, right?

[1:32:46] So, who's putting that off?

[1:32:49] Yeah.

[1:32:50] Yeah. I did it as well. We as GST in

[1:32:53] Australia, I put it off because I was

[1:32:55] thinking, "Oh my god, I'm going to get

[1:32:57] in trouble.

[1:32:59] I'm going to screw this up. I'm going to

[1:33:00] get in trouble with the taxman." And so

[1:33:02] I was holding myself under the

[1:33:03] threshold. What's the threshold for

[1:33:04] registering for VAT here?

[1:33:07] 80 85? 85. Who's holding themselves

[1:33:10] under that unconsciously, do you think?

[1:33:13] Be honest. It's okay. It's okay. We're

[1:33:15] in a safe space to to talk about this.

[1:33:17] Sometimes we're holding ourselves back

[1:33:19] under a uh like a tax bracket.

[1:33:22] But often we're holding ourselves back

[1:33:24] under a very symbolic amount of money.

[1:33:27] Like what someone else is earning in our

[1:33:29] life or what you were earning in a

[1:33:31] previous job because you're like, "Oh,

[1:33:33] if I earn that again, I'll burn out

[1:33:34] again."

[1:33:35] There could be lots of different reasons

[1:33:37] why you could be holding yourself back.

[1:33:38] You could be in feast or famine.

[1:33:40] You could be hiding away, not marketing

[1:33:42] um or just talking negatively about

[1:33:45] money. I don't even care about making

[1:33:46] money. That's fine.

[1:33:47] You know, who who even wants to make six

[1:33:49] figures, seven figures? Ugh.

[1:33:53] It's not even that good, I'm sure. Uh

[1:33:55] it's great. It's good.

[1:33:58] It is good.

[1:33:59] But, it's not perfect. And so, some of

[1:34:01] you have this more money more problems

[1:34:03] thing.

[1:34:05] So, out of the one, two, and three, what

[1:34:07] do you think is your biggest one? So,

[1:34:08] put your hand up for um

[1:34:10] I have to work really, really hard to

[1:34:11] make money, that's your biggest one.

[1:34:13] Okay. Number two is I can help people or

[1:34:15] make money, but not both.

[1:34:17] And number three is more money, more

[1:34:18] problems.

[1:34:20] Okay. So, the working hard thing. And

[1:34:23] again, even if you've heard this,

[1:34:26] the last time you heard it, you might

[1:34:27] have been at a different level in

[1:34:28] business. And so, that's why you have to

[1:34:30] watch it. You have to see the new ways

[1:34:32] it's showing up. You have to see the

[1:34:33] sneaky ways that it's coming back into

[1:34:36] your life. You have to almost start from

[1:34:38] scratch a little bit, especially if

[1:34:39] you're in money boot camp. Go go to

[1:34:41] lesson one again, because you'll see

[1:34:44] different things at different levels of

[1:34:46] your business. The same lesson of how is

[1:34:49] this continually showing up for me?

[1:34:51] How am I making it true that I have to

[1:34:53] work really hard to make money?

[1:34:56] Okay. So, in your bag, um you've got two

[1:34:59] cards. They'll be somewhere in your bag.

[1:35:01] So, the cards. So, I I love these

[1:35:05] affirmations. It's safe for me to and

[1:35:09] this is a direct acknowledgement to the

[1:35:11] work of Louise Hay.

[1:35:14] You know, this is the work that she

[1:35:15] teach or that she taught us and that's

[1:35:18] her legacy is the safety

[1:35:21] and the self-love.

[1:35:24] And I honestly think that is the key to

[1:35:26] everything.

[1:35:28] Um it's the key to success in business,

[1:35:30] it's the key to success in life. If you

[1:35:33] learn nothing else um from my work, I

[1:35:36] hope that you learn that. It's just that

[1:35:38] self-love and acceptance, because

[1:35:40] there's nuances to it, of course, but

[1:35:42] that's the most important thing. And um

[1:35:45] I called I had to call this the

[1:35:48] um Hay House US

[1:35:50] last year sometime.

[1:35:52] Um

[1:35:53] and Louise Hay answered the phone.

[1:35:57] The recording that they still use of

[1:35:59] Louise Hay. Isn't it beautiful, Joe?

[1:36:02] Made me cry to think about it. And so

[1:36:04] she's the switchboard.

[1:36:07] You know, and she's like press one for

[1:36:09] this, press two for this. For Suze Orman

[1:36:11] say press three. And it was it was so

[1:36:13] beautiful but at the end she just goes,

[1:36:15] all is well.

[1:36:18] My god. I wanted to call up again and

[1:36:20] hear it.

[1:36:22] Because I just I needed to hear that all

[1:36:23] is well. All is well. And so this is the

[1:36:26] point behind these affirmations that I

[1:36:27] always share. It's safe for me to

[1:36:31] because I want you to tell yourself all

[1:36:35] is well.

[1:36:36] As many times and as many ways as you

[1:36:39] can.

Being open and receptive means cultivating a physical, emotional, and mental stance of readiness. Louise Hay emphasizes that how you hold your body and your thoughts signals to the universe whether you're ready to accept good. It's about releasing the tight, guarded posture of fear and instead embodying the belief that you deserve to receive.
Your past circumstances do not determine your future prosperity. As Hay teaches, your consciousness—what you choose to believe about yourself and your worthiness—is what creates your container for abundance. You can change your beliefs at any moment, regardless of where you came from. This is the work of shifting your thoughts and practicing affirmations like 'I deserve prosperity.'
Wayne Dyer clarifies that you don't have to eliminate fear before taking action. Fear never fully goes away; what changes is tomorrow's fears differ from today's. The goal is to move forward anyway, making choices and taking steps while scared. Fear is not a stop sign; it's part of the journey.
Esther Hicks teaches that everything you desire already exists in your vibrational reality. When your emotional frequency—your dominant feeling state—matches what you want, a path of least resistance opens. Better-feeling thoughts align you with your inner guidance and make opportunities visible that were always there.
Denise Duffield-Thomas points out that many people carry unconscious money blocks—old beliefs inherited from family or culture that make them feel unworthy of success, fear that money is unsafe, or the false choice between prosperity and love. Identifying these blocks allows you to question them rather than live them unconsciously.
No. Louise Hay defines prosperity across multiple dimensions: time, love, success, joy, comfort, beauty, wisdom, and health. You can be wealthy in dollars but poor in time (always rushed) or poor in joy. True abundance means examining where you've accepted scarcity in each area and shifting those beliefs.
