You wake with chest pain the doctors can't explain. Anger flares before you even know why. Love feels dangerous, so you keep your distance. For 38 years, Dr. Bradley Nelson, formerly a chiropractor, has watched these symptoms appear again and again in his patients—and discovered they nearly all trace to the same root: emotional baggage trapped inside the body.

Nelson's journey began in the examining room. Working with patients over decades, he noticed an unsettling pattern: about 90% of the physical pain people experienced had no clear structural cause. Herniated discs, inflammation, muscle strain—the conventional diagnoses didn't fit. Yet the pain was real. He started asking different questions. What had happened in these patients' lives? What emotions had they pushed down? The answer emerged slowly, but decisively: emotional baggage—unexpressed, unprocessed feeling—was the single biggest common denominator across physical, mental, and emotional suffering. Depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, PTSD, eating disorders, self-sabotage: nearly all of them pointed back to the same wellspring.

This observation led Nelson to develop the Emotion Code, a method for identifying and releasing trapped emotional energy from the body. Over the last 20 years, he has trained almost 17,000 practitioners in 108 countries to do this work. The framework rests on a radical but scientifically grounded premise: everything—matter, thought, emotion—is energy vibrating at different frequencies.

Energy, Frequency, and the Nature of Trapped Emotion

Nelson often cites Einstein and Tesla to ground his model. Einstein said that matter itself is not solid; it is energy slowed down in frequency enough that we can see and touch it. Tesla understood that to grasp the secrets of the universe, one must think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration. Applied to the human body, this means every emotion carries its own vibrational frequency. Anger vibrates differently from grief. Joy vibrates differently from shame. When we feel an emotion in response to a stimulus—someone says something hurtful, we witness loss, we receive news—that emotion rises, we acknowledge it, and normally it dissipates. The energy flows through and releases.

But sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes we bury an emotion because we've learned it's "bad" or dangerous. Sometimes an emotion becomes so overwhelming—a sudden divorce demand, a call about a death, a trauma—that we cannot process it in real time. And sometimes we amplify an emotion, blow it up to extreme intensity, and then feel shame for the outburst. In all these cases, the emotional energy remains unexpressed. It gets stuck inside the body, vibrating at its specific frequency, year after year, subtly (or not so subtly) influencing our nervous system, our behavior, and our physical health.

The Heart Wall and the Architecture of Protection

Nelson has found that approximately 93% of people construct what he calls a "heart wall"—an invisible energetic barrier built around the heart without conscious awareness. The heart wall typically forms in response to emotional hurt, betrayal, or loss. Someone breaks your trust; a relationship ends; you experience rejection. Rather than stay open and vulnerable to that pain again, some part of your being decides to wall off your heart, to build protection. It happens automatically, energetically, and most people never know it's there.

The problem is that a heart wall doesn't just block pain—it blocks everything. It's constructed, in Nelson's metaphor, like a one-way mirror: you cannot truly receive love from others because the barrier prevents the signal from reaching your open heart, even when someone genuinely loves you and wants the best for you. People with heart walls often report feeling isolated despite being surrounded by people who care. They struggle to fall in love or sustain intimate connection. They sense something is wrong but cannot name it. When the heart wall finally comes down—when the trapped emotional energy beneath it is finally released—people often experience a dramatic shift. They fall in love. They open to joy. They feel, for the first time in years or decades, truly seen.

Where Does Unworthiness Come From?

Nelson identifies a core subconscious belief that underlies much of the suffering he encounters: feelings of unworthiness. The conviction that "I don't deserve success, money, love, happiness." The belief "I'm not good enough." This belief doesn't appear from nowhere. It gets passed down.

In Nelson's own case, his ancestors on his father's side were Irish and very poor. Those beliefs—scarcity, struggle, the sense that abundance was not for people like them—moved down through the family line energetically. But this isn't metaphor alone. Nelson suggests that we inherit emotional baggage not only from the traumas and mistakes we experience in our own lives, but also from our ancestors. We are born carrying emotional energies they lived through. An eighth great-grandmother jilted at the altar, the emotional devastation so profound it radiates forward through generations like a freight train. An ancestor thrown into the poor house, the shame and poverty vibrations lodging in the family's energy field. A relative who died in grief, war, or anguish, the frequency still reverberating in our cells.

This inheritance explains why people often struggle with patterns they've never personally created. Someone may have never experienced rejection in their own life, yet carry an intense, irrational fear of it—inherited from an ancestor's lived trauma. Someone raised in material comfort may nonetheless vibrate with deep poverty consciousness, passed down from generations back. The emotional baggage doesn't come from where we think it does. It's inherited, and it runs the show from the subconscious, misdirecting our lives in ways we rarely understand.

How Emotions Live in the Body

The physical consequences of trapped emotion are not subtle. Nelson found emotional baggage to be the dominant underlying cause of depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, and PTSD. It drives eating disorders and self-sabotage. And crucially, 90% of the physical pain people carry—the chronic aches, the unexplained symptoms, the pain that moves from one place to another—traces back not to structural damage but to emotional energy literally lodged in the body's tissues.

A person might have chest pain that echoes for years. Multiple doctors find nothing wrong. Tests come back normal. The pain persists because it is not a pain of the body—it is the body expressing trapped emotional energy, often from grief, heartbreak, or fear. Until that energy is identified and released, no amount of physical treatment will resolve it. The symptom can only disappear when the emotional cause is addressed.

The Practice of Release

Nelson's method involves identifying which emotions are trapped, where in the body they lodge, and then facilitating their release. The work often hinges on asking the right questions and then tuning into the body's answers. During a session, a practitioner might ask: "Is there a trapped emotion in this person's body?" Then they listen—to the client's words, the body's signals, the energetic response. When the trapped emotion is identified—let's say it's grief from a loss 15 years ago—the work becomes releasing it, allowing the energy to finally move through and out. People describe these moments as electric, as sudden and complete relief, as finally being able to breathe.

Lewis Howes, the interviewer, shared his own experience. He had carried chest pain for years. During deep therapy work, while simply sitting and allowing the process to unfold, the pain suddenly released. He described it as a moment when something fundamental shifted, when all the experiences and lessons he'd been unable to integrate finally landed. He was not "doing" anything—he was simply allowing the trapped emotion to move through his system and dissipate.

The Heart as the Seat of Knowing

Nelson emphasizes that the heart is not just an emotional center in the metaphorical sense. Ancient wisdom traditions understood the heart as the seat of truth and knowing. And modern medicine offers surprising evidence: people who receive heart transplants sometimes report receiving the memories, preferences, and emotional patterns of the donor. Heart recipients have described suddenly craving foods the donor loved, developing emotional responses the donor had, even sensing aspects of the donor's personality—despite having no conscious knowledge of who the donor was.

This suggests the heart holds consciousness, memory, and wisdom in a way our rational mind struggles to explain. When you seal off your heart with a wall, you're not just protecting yourself from pain; you're disconnecting from your own deepest knowing. You're cutting yourself off from the organ that actually "knows" what you need, what is true for you, and what aligns with your highest self.

Where to go from here

If this resonates—if you recognize chest pain you can't explain, anger that fires before you can think, walls you've built around your heart—the invitation is to begin investigating. What emotions might you be carrying that were never fully processed? What beliefs about your own worthiness might be running in the background, inherited from ancestors you never knew? The Emotion Code and Body Code offer frameworks for this investigation, with trained practitioners available in 108 countries. But even without formal training, the act of simply noticing—asking yourself where you might be walled off, what you might be storing, what could shift if you finally let it go—is itself the beginning of release. The body remembers everything. It wants to let it go. You just have to give it permission.

[0:00] 90% of all the physical pain that people

[0:03] have is due [music] to emotional

[0:06] baggage. Really?

[0:07] >> Yes. What I have found over 38 years of

[0:09] doing [music] this is that this

[0:11] emotional baggage is the single biggest

[0:13] common denominator for all of the

[0:15] physical and mental and emotional

[0:16] difficulties that [music] we experience.

[0:18] Emotional baggage is in my experience

[0:21] the by far the biggest underlying cause

[0:24] of things like depression and anxiety

[0:26] and phobias and panic attacks and PTSD.

[0:29] He's a best-selling author and [music]

[0:30] the creator of the emotion code. He's

[0:33] the founder and CEO of Discover Healing.

[0:36] Please welcome Dr. Bradley Nelson.

[0:38] >> 93% of people have a heart [music] wall

[0:40] and don't know it. And so it's it's the

[0:43] majority of people. It's how most people

[0:44] are living. And what's interesting is

[0:46] when people get rid of that emotional

[0:48] baggage [music] and especially when that

[0:49] heart wall when that gets taken down,

[0:52] people often fall in love who never

[0:53] [music] thought they would. And

[0:54] >> what does a heart wall actually mean?

[0:56] >> Well,

[1:01] What is the number one negative

[1:04] subconscious belief that most people

[1:06] have that holds them back from reaching

[1:09] their fullest potential?

[1:12] >> I would say that uh when it comes to

[1:14] belief, probably the thing that we see

[1:16] the most is feelings of of unworthiness,

[1:20] right? Undeserving.

[1:22] >> I don't deserve to have that. I I don't

[1:24] deserve to have success. I don't deserve

[1:26] to have money. I don't deserve to have

[1:28] love. I'm not good enough. Right?

[1:30] >> Why do so many people believe that

[1:31] they're not worthy of success, love,

[1:34] abundance, freedom, peace, or all of the

[1:37] joy that life has available for them? Is

[1:39] this conditioned from their environment?

[1:42] Is it from their ancestors passed down

[1:45] on this belief system? Is it just the

[1:48] language they hear from their parents

[1:49] and their peers? Is this the news they

[1:52] watch? Is it a combination of all of it?

[1:53] But where does this all come from? I

[1:55] would say really it's it's all of the

[1:56] above. Um I know that for example in my

[2:00] own case uh my ancestors on my father's

[2:03] side were from Ireland. They were very

[2:05] poor and a lot of those beliefs you know

[2:08] came down through the line to me and I

[2:10] had to uh I had to work on a lot of

[2:13] that. You know we all inherit emotional

[2:14] energies. Not only do we develop

[2:17] emotional baggage from the things we do

[2:19] in our own lives, the things that happen

[2:21] to us, the things that we do, the makes

[2:22] the mistakes that we make, but uh we're

[2:26] also handed a certain amount of

[2:29] emotional baggage at conception from our

[2:32] ancestors and the things that they went

[2:34] through. And so that's one of the really

[2:37] exciting parts of the work that we do is

[2:39] that we teach people how they can

[2:40] identify that emotional baggage. And it

[2:43] may be that the reason now where they

[2:45] why they're feeling unworthy or why they

[2:47] they're having a hard time with love.

[2:49] Well, maybe it's because uh you know

[2:51] their eighth great grandmother was

[2:53] jilted at the altar and that emotional

[2:54] energy was so powerful that's been

[2:56] passing down the line like a freight

[2:58] train or maybe um some other ancestor

[3:01] was thrown into the poor house. And so

[3:03] they may have difficulties with money

[3:06] because of these deep deep feelings,

[3:10] these energies that they're not even

[3:12] aware of. [clears throat]

[3:13] >> And yet they're directing or really

[3:15] misdirecting their lives.

[3:17] >> Yeah. I mean, you've done how many

[3:18] sessions now and work with people from

[3:21] the practice that you've done?

[3:22] >> Thousands. I mean, yeah, we've certified

[3:25] over 17,000 practitioners. Well, almost

[3:27] 17,000, I think, right now, uh, in about

[3:30] 108 countries or so. trained them in the

[3:32] emotion code and body code.

[3:34] >> But you've done thousands or tens of

[3:36] thousands of your own sessions working

[3:37] with people

[3:38] >> right

[3:39] >> from, you know, previously as a

[3:41] chiropractor, right? And then into more

[3:43] energy work and understanding people's

[3:46] energies and emotions. And what I'm

[3:48] hearing you say is, is it a sense of

[3:50] worthiness or a lack of worthiness and

[3:52] deservingness that is kind of one of the

[3:54] main things you read on people or sense

[3:56] or feel with people?

[3:57] >> Let's talk about energy. uh Albert

[4:00] Einstein said the medicine of the future

[4:03] will be the medicine of frequencies and

[4:05] Nicola Tesla said if you want to

[4:07] understand the secrets of the universe

[4:09] think in terms of energy frequency and

[4:12] vibration right and these very smart

[4:15] guys understood you know the nature of

[4:17] reality and so if you were to magnify

[4:20] your hand for example under a big

[4:23] microscope if you if you kept zooming in

[4:26] past the level of the cell and past the

[4:28] level of the molecule to the level of

[4:30] the atom,

[4:32] you'd understand suddenly that uh uh

[4:35] there's really nothing solid there.

[4:37] Albert Einstein himself said that there

[4:39] is no matter as such. Matter is just

[4:42] frequency. Energy that's been slowed

[4:44] down in its frequency enough that we,

[4:46] you know, can see it and touch it and so

[4:47] on. And so that's what our bodies are.

[4:50] Well, everything really is energy,

[4:54] including thought is energy. Emotions

[4:56] are energy. So what we believe is that

[4:59] every emotion has its own specific

[5:01] frequency of vibration. So if you're

[5:02] feeling an emotion of anger and you're

[5:04] really angry, well, your body is

[5:08] feeling a different frequency. It's

[5:09] vibrating at a different frequency than

[5:11] it was a minute ago when you weren't

[5:13] feeling that emotion. Or if you're

[5:14] feeling an emotion of grief, that's a

[5:16] different frequency than anger. And

[5:18] they're all different. But what happens

[5:20] is normally when we feel an emotion, of

[5:24] course, it's always in response to some

[5:25] kind of a stimulus. you know, we've seen

[5:27] something or thought something or

[5:28] someone said something to us or

[5:29] whatever. Normally what happens is that

[5:32] emotion begins to well up. We begin to

[5:34] feel a specific emotion, a certain

[5:36] feeling and we normally allow that

[5:40] emotional feeling to kind of we

[5:43] acknowledge it and we just kind of allow

[5:44] it to dissipate and go away. And this is

[5:47] the normal way we deal with emotions. It

[5:49] happens to all of us every single day,

[5:50] multiple times a day. But sometimes

[5:54] we deal with it differently. Sometimes

[5:57] an emotion comes up and maybe you don't

[5:58] want to go there and so you bury that

[6:00] emotion, right? Maybe you learn that

[6:03] that specific emotion is a bad emotion.

[6:05] You don't want to feel it and so it

[6:06] comes up and you bury it. That will

[6:09] result in that emotional energy being

[6:11] unexpressed in the body. So it's a

[6:13] trapped emotion is what we call it. Now

[6:15] you can also develop a trapped emotion.

[6:18] um if an emotion comes up for you and

[6:19] you decide that you're justified in

[6:21] taking that emotion and in blowing it up

[6:23] to the nth degree and those are the

[6:25] situations where usually afterward

[6:28] you're saying to yourself, "Boy, I

[6:29] really got to get a handle on myself.

[6:32] You know, I really blew up there. That

[6:33] was kind of embarrassing." We do that,

[6:35] too. That will result in emotional

[6:37] baggage or these trapped emotions. Uh or

[6:40] sometimes things happen that are just

[6:42] overwhelming. You know, suddenly your

[6:44] spouse asks you for a divorce out of

[6:46] nowhere or maybe suddenly you get a

[6:48] phone call that someone is injured or

[6:50] died or you know, terrible things happen

[6:53] and those emotions are overwhelming and

[6:55] they can also develop into emotional

[6:57] baggage, emotional energy. So what

[6:59] happens to us is that um we all have

[7:03] these emotional energies that inhabit

[7:05] our bodies and they they misdirect our

[7:09] lives. is they interfere with our

[7:10] ability to really create um the lives

[7:13] that we're capable of of creating.

[7:15] >> Right?

[7:15] >> What happens in the body then when we

[7:17] hold on to emotions rather than

[7:20] expressing them in a healthy way?

[7:23] >> Well, what I have found over 38 years of

[7:25] doing this is that this emotional

[7:27] baggage is the single biggest common

[7:29] denominator for all of the physical and

[7:31] mental and emotional difficulties that

[7:33] we experience. So, for example,

[7:35] emotional baggage is in my experience

[7:38] the by far the biggest underlying cause

[7:41] of things like depression and anxiety

[7:43] and phobias and panic attacks and PTSD

[7:46] and eating disorders and self-sabotage.

[7:49] >> 90% of all the physical pain that people

[7:52] have is due to emotional baggage.

[7:56] Really?

[7:56] >> Yes.

[7:56] >> Wow. Unless it's like a car accident or

[7:59] a physical trauma that's happening.

[8:01] >> Yeah. Well,

[8:02] >> you think that's tied to emotional pain

[8:04] too or emotional baggage?

[8:05] >> The fascinating thing that I found when

[8:06] I was in practice and I worked with a

[8:08] lot of athletes, uh, but lots of other

[8:11] people coming in with all kinds of

[8:12] different, you know, problems with

[8:14] physical pain. Let me share a story with

[8:16] you. This guy came into my office one

[8:18] day and he's, uh, he's really got severe

[8:22] low back pain, right? It's a like a

[8:24] nine, nine, nine and a half, bumping

[8:27] around 10 with his low back. and he's

[8:29] talking about surgeries, his next stop,

[8:32] and it's been going on for a while. And

[8:34] using the emotion code, I tested him and

[8:36] found he had a trapped emotion. The

[8:38] emotion was anger. And uh I needed to

[8:42] know a little bit more about this.

[8:43] That's one of the questions we ask of

[8:45] the subconscious mind. Do we need to

[8:47] know more about this? I got a yes

[8:48] answer. And did a little more testing

[8:51] and found that this had started 20 years

[8:53] before. And he immediately remembered.

[8:56] And he said, 'Yeah. I said, I know

[8:57] exactly what that is. And I said,

[8:58] "Really?" He said he was working for

[9:00] this company and he was wrongly accused

[9:04] of cooking the books basically, you

[9:06] know, or embezzling. And he was

[9:07] completely innocent. And so he was

[9:09] there's no fury quite like that of being

[9:12] wrongly accused. And you know that

[9:14] you're not guilty. And so he was so mad

[9:16] about that. That emotion was so powerful

[9:19] his body couldn't really process it.

[9:21] That energy became trapped in his body

[9:24] in his low back 20 years later. You see,

[9:26] when you have a trapped emotion, what we

[9:28] believe is that it's a little ball of

[9:31] energy. They're invisible, but they're

[9:32] about so big, about the size of a

[9:34] baseball or a softball. And what they

[9:36] do, wherever they lodge in the body, and

[9:37] they can lodge anywhere, they will

[9:39] distort the normal energy field of the

[9:42] body. And so,

[9:44] >> all of the energy in the body.

[9:45] >> Exactly. The energy flow through the

[9:47] meridian systems interfered with because

[9:49] the body itself is just a very complex

[9:51] energy field. When you interfere with

[9:54] that and when you distort that energy

[9:55] field, you're interfering to some degree

[9:57] with chemical reactions going on in that

[9:59] area with maybe blood flow, lymph flow

[10:01] to some degree. When I release that

[10:03] trapped emotion,

[10:05] the pain level went from 9 and a half to

[10:09] zero instantly. Right? And this guy's

[10:12] he's he's walking around in my office

[10:15] and he's bending over and he's twisting

[10:17] this way and that way and he's saying,

[10:18] "Where did it go?" Because it was

[10:19] completely gone. Now, why' that happen?

[10:22] Well, when we release that energy,

[10:24] suddenly that distorting force is gone.

[10:27] But now, think about this. This guy a

[10:29] couple days later came back into the

[10:31] office. And he said, you know, he said,

[10:33] "My back pain is still gone." He said,

[10:34] "I still can't quite believe it." But he

[10:35] said, "When I came in here, I had

[10:37] another problem I didn't tell you

[10:38] about." He said, "For as long as I can

[10:40] remember, I've basically been what you'd

[10:42] call a raholic." He said, "I'm I've

[10:45] really just been a live wire." And he

[10:48] said, "I, you know, I'm always getting

[10:49] in arguments with my wife and I'm, you

[10:52] know, I have to watch the road rage.

[10:53] I've had to go to anger management a

[10:55] couple of times. Hasn't really helped

[10:56] me."

[10:57] >> But he said, "Since you release that

[10:59] trapped emotion of anger from me from

[11:01] that thing that happened 20 years ago,"

[11:02] he said,

[11:03] >> "I feel really different." He said, "I

[11:05] just feel kind of calm and kind of

[11:08] peaceful." And he said, "Things that

[11:09] used to set me off instantly don't set

[11:11] me off anymore." He said, "How did you

[11:13] do that?" And I said,

[11:14] >> "I don't know." [laughter]

[11:16] cuz I didn't know but

[11:17] >> at the time we didn't know. Yeah. Yeah.

[11:18] Yeah.

[11:18] >> But here's what we believe.

[11:20] >> You also you also eliminate the pain.

[11:21] You're going to feel a lot more joy too.

[11:23] You're going to be less angry if you're

[11:24] like painfree.

[11:25] >> True. But what it what what we believe

[11:27] is that in that guy's life, think about

[11:29] this. He had this ball of anger, you

[11:32] know, this literally this ball of

[11:34] frequency that if you could stick a

[11:36] probe into it and measure the emotion,

[11:39] it would go right to anger, right?

[11:41] >> He had that ball of energy in his low

[11:42] back all those years. So when a

[11:44] situation would come along in his life,

[11:46] if somebody cuts him off in traffic,

[11:48] >> instant reaction, right?

[11:49] >> Instant because part of his body is

[11:50] already vibrating at that frequency.

[11:53] >> Gosh, I could I I know that feeling. I

[11:55] had that for many years where it was

[11:57] like an instant response. It was like

[11:59] stimulus anger.

[12:01] >> Sure.

[12:02] >> Reaction as opposed to response

[12:04] >> from like a neutral place.

[12:06] >> Exactly. And that's where he moved to.

[12:09] >> And it's not unusual when those

[12:10] emotional energies are released.

[12:13] Uh it's, you know, people often say that

[12:15] when they get rid of enough of their

[12:16] emotional baggage that it's like

[12:18] stepping out of this old suit they've

[12:20] been walking around in into this totally

[12:22] different state of being that is really

[12:24] who they were intended to be, you know,

[12:26] when they when they first arrived here.

[12:28] >> Yeah. Loving, joyful, peaceful.

[12:30] >> Exactly. High vibrations.

[12:32] >> Exactly.

[12:33] >> Um what's the st what's the strongest

[12:36] daily practice to make sure that we are

[12:38] dealing or navigating our emotions as

[12:41] they come and go?

[12:43] Well, it's important, I think, to

[12:44] realize that we have a choice, right?

[12:48] Most people, I think, kind of just

[12:50] automatically assume that they're at the

[12:52] mercy of their emotions that if some

[12:55] emotion comes up, in fact, people say

[12:56] funny things. They'll say things like,

[12:58] you know, he made me so angry or, you

[13:02] know, gosh,

[13:03] >> and of course, nobody can make you feel

[13:05] anything.

[13:05] >> What happens when someone says, "The

[13:08] government makes me angry. My wife, my

[13:11] husband make me angry. They my ex did

[13:14] this to me. It makes me angry still

[13:16] today. What is someone saying when

[13:18] they're saying someone else made them

[13:19] angry right now?

[13:20] >> Yeah. Well, of course, what they're

[13:23] saying is that that's what they have

[13:24] chosen, right? Uh we we're always

[13:27] choosing our own emotions. Now, of

[13:29] course, there are situations where

[13:32] overwhelming things happen and you don't

[13:34] have much control. But the rest of the

[13:37] time it is possible to choose an emotion

[13:40] other than the one that is just

[13:42] naturally coming up for you. And if

[13:45] emotions naturally come up for you in

[13:48] situations

[13:49] uh that um that maybe aren't really

[13:52] completely,

[13:55] you know, what you'd want to have

[13:56] happen. It's probably because there is

[14:00] emotional baggage that you have,

[14:02] emotional energy. What we find is that

[14:05] the average person has about 300 or so,

[14:07] if you're an adult and you've lived

[14:10] life, the average person has about 300

[14:12] or so of these emotional energies, these

[14:16] trapped emotions in their body. And you

[14:18] know, when I was in practice, I was just

[14:20] trying to help my patients get well. But

[14:23] see, I had been a computer programmer uh

[14:25] starting in the early 1980s. I had a

[14:28] business way back then called the

[14:29] computer tutor. and I'd go into people's

[14:33] offices that would have a new IBM PC.

[14:35] There was no software in the early days

[14:36] and I would write the software and that

[14:39] taught me a lot about logic and so on.

[14:41] And so when I became a doctor, it

[14:43] gradually began to dawn on me that um

[14:46] based on some work that other people had

[14:48] done that there is really a computer

[14:52] within each one of us and that computer

[14:57] uh knows with a perfect understanding

[14:59] exactly what we need. It remembers

[15:01] everything. It's like an archiving

[15:02] holographic computer that is within each

[15:05] one of us that um remembers every face

[15:07] you've ever seen in a crowd, everything

[15:09] you've ever eaten or tasted or touched

[15:11] or smelled, you know, every um every

[15:14] emotional experience you've had. Uh it

[15:16] knows all about your trapped emotions.

[15:17] It knows everything. So, I began to

[15:20] realize that this subconscious mind is

[15:23] really a computer and it's capable of

[15:25] being queried. we can ask questions and

[15:27] we can get answers out of it because

[15:29] it's a binary computer at least in terms

[15:31] of its interface. In other words, um in

[15:35] other words, if someone holds out their

[15:36] arm, for example, um if I were to say,

[15:39] "My name is Brad." If you were to press

[15:41] down on my arm, I could resist you. I'd

[15:43] be strong because that's a true

[15:44] congruent statement. And that's my

[15:46] internal computer agreeing.

[15:49] But if I were to say something like, "My

[15:50] name is Bob," which is untrue, then I

[15:53] would weaken. and that's the internal

[15:55] computer. And so what I've been able to

[15:57] do is take that basic interface

[16:00] knowledge and develop it to um a higher

[16:04] degree I think than anybody else has

[16:06] been able to do because now

[16:07] >> with this work we've been able to really

[16:09] open up uh this uh open up the

[16:13] subconscious mind like a book really and

[16:16] find out exactly

[16:18] um you know what the problems are and

[16:21] that's that's how it worked when I was

[16:22] in practice and it worked so well that

[16:24] the last 10 years that I was in

[16:25] practice. Most of the people that I saw

[16:27] been told there was no help for them at

[16:28] all in western medicine and yet they

[16:30] were able to get better.

[16:31] >> So do you feel like most pain is caused

[16:34] by trapped emotions?

[16:37] Most pain in the body.

[16:39] >> That's my experience. About 90% of

[16:41] people's physical pain is from emotional

[16:43] baggage. Now it's not 100%. It really is

[16:47] an amazing thing. And I that's what I

[16:49] found when I was in practice because of

[16:51] course as a chiropractor I had all kinds

[16:53] of people coming in to see me for

[16:55] physical pain very common. And uh what I

[16:58] found because I had learned how to

[17:00] communicate with their own internal

[17:02] computer uh when I would ask you know is

[17:06] there an underlying reason why you're

[17:07] having this pain the majority of the

[17:09] time it was emotional. How many years in

[17:11] your practice did you realize that you

[17:14] can't necessarily heal matter with

[17:17] matter? Like you can't just treat the

[17:19] body by itself without also treating the

[17:21] emotions.

[17:22] >> Yeah. Interesting. You know, it was it

[17:24] was really kind of a gradual process. I

[17:26] was uh I kind of have an obsessive

[17:29] nature a little bit and I was obsessed

[17:30] when I was in practice with helping my

[17:33] patients and getting to the underlying

[17:35] causes. I wanted to know,

[17:37] >> you know, why why is this person in

[17:39] pain? Why is this thing this problem not

[17:42] getting better? What's going on? What is

[17:44] really happening? So, that was kind of

[17:46] the the driving force for me. And as so,

[17:49] as time went on, uh I was learning

[17:51] everything that I could from every place

[17:53] that I could, from ancient sources,

[17:55] modern sources, you know, going to

[17:57] seminars, learning from other doctors,

[17:59] anything I could learn. And I also had a

[18:01] habit of asking for help from up above.

[18:04] And uh it was really actually a very

[18:06] powerful answer to prayer that got me

[18:08] into the healing arts in the first

[18:09] place. Yes. And so I had this habit of

[18:13] um it was a totally private, totally

[18:15] personal habit. But when a patient would

[18:17] come in to see me before I would go to

[18:19] work on them, I would just offer this

[18:21] silent prayer and ask for help. And I'll

[18:26] tell you something. There were times

[18:29] when a patient would come in and I I

[18:31] wouldn't know how to take care of them

[18:33] or approach their problem. And in

[18:35] response to that little ask, information

[18:39] would flood in.

[18:41] >> Wow.

[18:42] >> Just like an avalanche.

[18:44] >> For you want to hear one of them? Sure.

[18:46] >> Let me tell you one.

[18:47] >> One day this guy comes in to see me.

[18:49] He's 42 years old. He tells me that four

[18:52] years before he was in a car accident.

[18:54] He was sitting at a light in his car,

[18:56] stopped, and another car hit him at a

[18:58] high rate of speed from behind and he

[19:01] got whiplash, a lot of damage to his car

[19:03] and everything else. But he said that

[19:05] his neck never stopped hurting

[19:08] >> for four years.

[19:09] >> For four years. And he said he'd seen

[19:11] two doctors during that time. But he

[19:13] said that his neck right then at that

[19:15] moment was about a nine on a 0 to10

[19:17] scale. Really hurting. And he said it

[19:20] still feels like the day after the

[19:22] accident. And I thought, well, that's

[19:24] kind of weird, right?

[19:25] >> So, I said this silent prayer and I

[19:28] said, "Okay, Father in heaven, this

[19:30] seems kind of strange to me. If there's

[19:32] something I need to know about this,

[19:33] help me to understand this because this

[19:35] just kind of seems odd." And this answer

[19:38] flooded in. And the answer was that in

[19:41] the accident when all of that kinetic

[19:43] energy was released, some of that energy

[19:46] that was going through his body actually

[19:49] got stuck

[19:51] >> in his neck,

[19:52] >> dropped.

[19:52] >> And that was the answer. So it was

[19:54] actually what we now call a physical

[19:56] trauma energy. So I thought that was the

[20:00] answer. And I thought, okay, well

[20:01] there's energy from the accident. That's

[20:02] really weird, but okay. So I swiped a

[20:04] few times with a magnet down his uh back

[20:06] down his governing meridian with an

[20:08] intention to release that energy and I

[20:11] said, "Okay, try it now." And so he

[20:13] moves his head like this and looks

[20:15] around and he said, "How did you do

[20:17] that?" And I said, "Well, how does it

[20:18] feel?" And he said, "Well," he said,

[20:20] "I'd say it's about a two."

[20:22] >> Wow.

[20:22] >> And I said, "When's the last time it was

[20:24] a two?" And he said, "Oh, before the

[20:26] accident." Right? So this is something

[20:28] that most people have and have no idea.

[20:30] Right? Think of all the traumas. Think

[20:32] of all the hits you've taken, right?

[20:34] >> There's trauma, no doubt, stored in your

[20:37] body and those can be released. I

[20:39] remember I was at not too Well, this

[20:41] >> I hesitate to even tell this story

[20:43] because it sounds so fantastic, but I'll

[20:44] tell it anyway. I was at a uh I was at

[20:46] this event, this networking event in

[20:48] Vegas. The guy that sat down next to me

[20:50] had the worst limp of anybody I've ever

[20:52] seen in my life. And I started talking

[20:54] to him and he told me that um about

[20:57] three or four years before [snorts]

[21:00] he was he fell asleep at the wheel and

[21:02] he ran into the back end of a dump truck

[21:04] at 100 miles an hour, got very injured,

[21:07] severed uh one of his feet and uh they

[21:10] were able to reattach his foot and so

[21:12] on. So I started working on him using

[21:14] what we call the body code asking his

[21:16] subconscious mind what we need to

[21:17] release. And there were multiple

[21:19] physical trauma energies we had to

[21:21] release uh and emotions the emotional

[21:24] energy that he absorbed from his wife

[21:26] when she came to the hospital room and

[21:28] he was you know practically dead. He

[21:30] absorbed that emotional energy cleared

[21:32] that out and every time I would clear

[21:35] something his ability to walk without a

[21:38] limp would change. And that guy ran uh

[21:42] that guy ran a 5K about two months

[21:45] later.

[21:46] >> Really?

[21:46] >> Yeah. It sounds unbelievable and it it

[21:49] actually is kind of unbelievable but but

[21:50] it really did happen.

[21:52] >> So the message here see that all along

[21:58] we have had within us this uh really

[22:02] this incomprehensibly powerful computer

[22:06] that

[22:07] >> we've never really known how to talk to.

[22:09] We've never really known how to get

[22:11] information out of it. But

[22:12] >> it knows everything about us. It knows

[22:15] why you have a symptom. If you're

[22:17] diagnosed with some kind of a disease,

[22:19] believe me, your subconscious mind, that

[22:21] internal computer knows exactly why, and

[22:23] it knows what needs to be done to help

[22:25] you to maximize your life in every

[22:27] possible way. The answers are all

[22:30] inside. But we haven't been asking until

[22:32] now. At work, greatness sometimes starts

[23:44] >> If someone watching or listening right

[23:46] now is hearing this and saying, "Okay,

[23:48] this sounds interesting, but how can I

[23:50] do this for myself? I don't have access

[23:52] to a practitioner or you know I'm not

[23:55] going to go find someone that can help

[23:56] me with this. How can I start doing this

[23:58] for myself right now to release these

[24:01] emotions that maybe I've been storing

[24:03] for years.

[24:05] >> Yeah.

[24:05] >> So that I can start to feel more free in

[24:07] my body, start to feel more flow in my

[24:09] body. Right.

[24:10] >> Absolutely. Well, uh, what we have done,

[24:12] my team has set up a special website

[24:14] actually for your listeners and that's,

[24:17] uh, at emotioncode.com

[24:19] and they can go there and we've got some

[24:21] special videos that are free that they

[24:23] can watch and they can learn how to do

[24:25] this. They can learn how to release

[24:26] their first trapped emotion

[24:27] >> and there's information there about the

[24:29] books and if they want to, they can book

[24:31] an appointment with a practitioner.

[24:32] We've got lots of them all over the

[24:33] world. And by the way, one of the cool

[24:35] things about this is that it's energy

[24:37] medicine in its purest form. And so it's

[24:39] not bound by distance. So you might find

[24:42] that the person you love working with

[24:44] that helps you the most, maybe they live

[24:45] in Singapore or Berlin or something, you

[24:48] know,

[24:48] >> remote healings.

[24:49] >> Remote. Yeah. It works remotely. And you

[24:51] know what else is great? It works on

[24:53] animals.

[24:54] >> Wow.

[24:54] >> And that's that's one of the really fun

[24:57] >> that's cool. proofs of this work because

[25:00] animals, you know, uh they just get

[25:02] better and and so uh there's no placebo

[25:06] effect, right, with animals and it it

[25:08] definitely works. In fact, one of my

[25:11] very favorite stories is uh my wife and

[25:14] I got a call one day to work on this

[25:16] horse. It had a problem with its hind

[25:17] quarters. It wasn't tracking right and

[25:20] so they couldn't ride it. And they had a

[25:22] vet come out and look at the horse and

[25:23] there wasn't anything obviously wrong.

[25:25] So then we got a call. So, we go down to

[25:26] work on this horse. So, when when you

[25:29] work on a horse, uh back then what we

[25:31] would do is um I would have one person

[25:34] put put a hand on the horse and then

[25:36] hold out their other arm and then I

[25:38] would talk to the horse and

[25:42] and then the answers coming from the

[25:43] horse's subconscious mind would manifest

[25:46] on that person's arm, strong or weak.

[25:49] Right.

[25:49] >> That's crazy.

[25:50] >> It is crazy. But I'm telling you, it

[25:51] works. That's how we did it. So, I think

[25:54] the horse's name was Ranger. So, if you

[25:56] can imagine, I've got somebody touching

[25:58] the horse, holding out their arm, and

[26:00] I'm talking to the horse. All right. Is

[26:01] your name Ranger? Yes. All right. Do you

[26:05] have a trapped emotion that is

[26:06] contributing to the problem with your

[26:08] hind quarters? Yes. What's the emotion?

[26:10] Is it in column A? No. Okay. It's in

[26:13] column B. Is it in an odd row? No. So,

[26:16] is it in row two? Okay, it's in row two.

[26:18] Or whatever. We quickly found the

[26:19] emotion was sorrow, right? We narrowed

[26:22] it down. So then I'm asking these

[26:24] questions like, well, was it sorrow

[26:26] about another horse? No. Was it about a

[26:29] dog? No. A cat? No. A human? No. And I'm

[26:32] kind of running out of ideas, right? And

[26:34] suddenly a bird flies overhead.

[26:37] So I thought, well, all right. Um, was

[26:38] it about a bird? Yes. Rock solid. And I

[26:42] started laughing and so did all these

[26:44] other people standing around. this would

[26:45] always gather a little crowd, you know,

[26:47] of interesting of people that were

[26:49] interested to see the the crazy doctor

[26:51] come and talk to the horse. [laughter]

[26:53] So, so we're all laughing, but the the

[26:56] horse's owner was there and she said,

[26:57] "You know what?" She said, "Wait a

[26:59] minute." She said, "I think I know what

[27:00] this is about." She said that the week

[27:03] before, right in front of this horse's

[27:06] stall,

[27:07] uh, a baby bird fell out of its nest and

[27:11] fell down onto this little this little

[27:14] paved pathway and struggled for its life

[27:17] and died and a

[27:20] >> and so I asked the horse,

[27:23] you know, is that what caused this

[27:25] emotion of sorrow? Yes.

[27:28] >> [snorts]

[27:28] >> And so then,

[27:30] you know, just took a magnet and swiped

[27:32] it down the horse's back, right, three

[27:34] times to release that emotional energy.

[27:37] They took the horse immediately out and

[27:39] walked it and the lameness was

[27:41] completely gone.

[27:42] >> Wow, that's crazy.

[27:43] >> Yeah. I I got so many stories like that.

[27:45] We have over 10,000 stories like this.

[27:47] >> So, walk me through the the different

[27:49] codes then because you have emotion, you

[27:51] have body, and belief.

[27:53] Why did one lead to the next instead of

[27:55] the first one being all you needed?

[27:58] >> Right. Well, the emotion code book I

[28:01] left practice in 2004

[28:03] because I was practicing all week long,

[28:05] 60 hours a week and then, you know,

[28:08] going and teaching seminars on the

[28:09] weekend trying to get the word out about

[28:11] this. And I finally realized, okay, it's

[28:13] it's time for me to just do this and

[28:15] I've got to write a book. So, that was

[28:17] the emotion code. Well, the emotion code

[28:20] is all about how to get rid of your

[28:21] emotional baggage, how to get rid of it

[28:24] from your animals, how to keep, you

[28:25] know, how to talk to them and get

[28:26] information and how to, you know, uh,

[28:29] how to work with people at a distance

[28:32] and how to release inherited emotions

[28:34] and so on. And, um, and so that's the

[28:38] emotion code. And the emotion code, of

[28:40] course, has been translated now into

[28:41] many, many languages around the world

[28:42] and so on. And the next book really was

[28:45] the body code. And um what happened was

[28:49] I had taught bits and pieces of this

[28:51] this whole method that I had learned

[28:53] when I was in practice because I was an

[28:55] old computer programmer. I always had a

[28:57] computer there with me and when I would

[28:59] find something new uh I would add it to

[29:02] this big mind map that I was building

[29:04] and it eventually turned out that there

[29:06] were six different categories of

[29:08] imbalances that cause our sicknesses and

[29:11] so on. And um emotions are in one of

[29:14] those categories. And the physical

[29:16] trauma, energy we talked about, that's

[29:18] in that same category. But then there's

[29:20] also um there are nutritional and

[29:23] lifestyle issues. There are pathogens

[29:25] that get into the body that set up

[29:26] housekeeping. There's toxins and

[29:27] misalignments and disconnections between

[29:30] the spirit and the physical body and

[29:31] organs and glands and circuitry and all

[29:33] kinds of stuff. So,

[29:36] I thought when the emotion code book

[29:39] came out, I remember thinking, okay,

[29:41] eventually uh doctors, I'll teach

[29:43] doctors all this other information

[29:45] because it'll be great for them. It'll

[29:47] change their practice like it did mine.

[29:49] They'll be able to get, you know, have

[29:51] great success with everybody. And that

[29:53] was my thought, just kind of a loose

[29:55] idea. Well, about a year later, I woke

[29:58] up one morning and my mind was full of

[30:01] instruction. And the instruction was,

[30:03] you need to take everything you've

[30:06] learned about natural healing and put it

[30:09] into a self-study course that anyone can

[30:11] learn and make it available to everyone

[30:14] everywhere.

[30:16] And it was so clear. This was not coming

[30:18] out of my own head. It was from up

[30:20] above. And I remember thinking, well,

[30:21] wait, are you sure about this? This

[30:22] sounds like it could be a lot of work. I

[30:24] don't know. So, I sat on that for about

[30:26] three months. And then I finally got to

[30:28] work. And that was the the result of

[30:30] that after about a year was what we call

[30:32] the body code which is this this really

[30:35] breakthrough revolutionary way to give

[30:38] the subconscious mind rails essentially

[30:41] to be able to to to know how to ask the

[30:43] subconscious mind questions to take you

[30:46] wherever. So it's like a uh it's kind of

[30:49] like um just a simplified way to get the

[30:52] information from the subconscious. You

[30:54] don't have to be psychic. Anybody can

[30:56] learn how to do this. In fact uh uh in

[30:58] fact you know kids can learn how to do

[31:00] it. So that's the body code. So then

[31:02] eventually I wrote the body code book

[31:04] and the body code book is really it's

[31:06] really kind of the handbook for the app.

[31:08] We have this app called the body code

[31:10] the body code system. Well, when we

[31:14] wrote the emotion code book,

[31:17] um when I wrote it, my wife and I talked

[31:19] about it and we we realized eventually

[31:22] one day we were going to need to write

[31:23] another book uh about just about the

[31:25] heart wall because the heart wall is

[31:28] this other topic that uh is arguably the

[31:32] most important part of this work and it

[31:36] has to do with the heart. And you know

[31:39] the heart really the ancient peoples

[31:41] believed that the heart was the seat of

[31:43] the soul and the source of love and

[31:46] creativity and romance. They believed

[31:47] that the heart was the core of our being

[31:49] and all these great things. In the west

[31:51] we've never really given any credence to

[31:53] those ideas. If anything we've thought

[31:54] well you know those people anciently

[31:56] they they just had a lot of poetic

[31:57] license. They didn't have the kind of

[31:58] instruments we have today.

[32:00] >> Sure.

[32:00] >> But guess what? Now we're finding out oh

[32:02] gee looks like they were right and we've

[32:05] been wrong. We know for example now that

[32:08] people can literally die of a broken

[32:09] heart.

[32:10] >> Crazy, right?

[32:11] >> Right. Yeah.

[32:12] >> Crazy.

[32:12] >> And it happens unfortunately probably

[32:14] almost every day. It was the Japanese

[32:16] that actually came up with that.

[32:18] They found that women of a certain age,

[32:20] you know, over 65 or so, if they were

[32:23] going through some emotional event that

[32:25] was traumatic, they'd go into heart

[32:26] failure and their heart would assume the

[32:28] shape of what looked exactly like what

[32:30] they call a takatubo or a a Japanese

[32:33] fisherman's jar that the Japanese

[32:36] fishermen use to catch octopus. A taco

[32:38] is an octopus, right? So, it's a

[32:39] takatubo

[32:40] uh octopus jar. And I've seen the

[32:43] X-rays. It look weird. The heart looks

[32:45] exactly like that. And so the heart's

[32:48] failing. But in th those are cases where

[32:51] you know eventually I mean when when if

[32:54] you survive it the doctors will say well

[32:56] it wasn't really a myioardial infuction

[32:59] uh your enzymes are normal but uh we

[33:01] don't know what it was but if you have

[33:03] something like that I mean if you feel

[33:05] like you're having a heart attack go to

[33:06] the hospital but people die of this. The

[33:09] the

[33:10] >> it's the emotions though. It's not a

[33:11] heart attack. It's more like the grief

[33:13] or the trapped emotion that they don't

[33:15] release.

[33:16] >> Yeah. Exactly.

[33:16] >> They don't process.

[33:17] >> I had a case once, in fact, one of the

[33:19] very first cases that I saw many years

[33:22] ago. This woman came in and uh she

[33:24] thought she was having a heart attack.

[33:25] And she she'd been a patient of mine. I

[33:27] hadn't seen her for a month or so, but

[33:28] she comes in, she's got crushing chest

[33:30] pain, difficulty breathing, left arm

[33:33] completely numb, left side of her face

[33:35] totally numb.

[33:36] >> It's like a stroke or something.

[33:37] >> Well, our office was right next to a

[33:39] medical center. And so I told my staff,

[33:41] look, you know, we, you know, just stand

[33:43] by. Give me one minute with her. And in

[33:46] that one minute, using the what we now

[33:49] call the emotion code, I was able to

[33:50] find out that she had a trapped emotion

[33:53] of grief that had gotten trapped in her

[33:55] body three years before when she found

[33:57] out her husband was having an affair.

[34:00] And when we landed on that, she burst

[34:03] into tears and she said, "I can't

[34:05] believe that's affecting me. I thought I

[34:06] dealt with all that." And when I

[34:08] released that trapped emotion from her,

[34:11] uh, the feeling came back into her arm

[34:12] and into her face within about 3

[34:14] seconds. The chest pain melted away. The

[34:17] difficulty breathing was gone. 10

[34:20] minutes later, Lewis, after joking with

[34:22] me and my staff and talking with us, she

[34:25] left the office feeling totally fine.

[34:26] And I remember after she left, sitting

[34:28] down at my desk with my head kind of

[34:31] spinning, thinking, "Wow, what did I

[34:33] just witness?"

[34:35] But see,

[34:37] think about life. I mean, imagine being

[34:39] born into a planet where you can't feel

[34:42] any emotions at all.

[34:44] >> I mean, imagine not being able to feel

[34:48] happiness or joy, but not feeling grief

[34:51] or sadness. Imagine not ever being able

[34:52] to feel excited again. Imagine not ever

[34:55] being able to feel depressed again.

[34:57] Well, the emotions are the color, right?

[35:02] They give all the color to the fabric of

[35:04] our existence. Without emotions, life

[35:08] wouldn't really even be worth living,

[35:09] right? It would just be a flat line.

[35:12] It'd be just a gray scale. And so,

[35:16] emotions are so important to our lives.

[35:18] But we're finally beginning to realize

[35:20] that we have emotional baggage that

[35:23] animals develop emotional baggage. In

[35:25] fact, can I can I share a story with you

[35:28] really quickly? This is from uh a woman

[35:30] named Laura from Florida. She said

[35:32] Octavia, a 15-year-old girl who sells

[35:35] organic eggs from her pet chickens,

[35:38] faced a heartbreaking situation when a

[35:40] raccoon killed four of her birds. The

[35:43] survivors were so traumatized that they

[35:45] began coming into the house through the

[35:47] dog door and sleeping in the guest room.

[35:50] She held each of the 10 survivors and

[35:53] shared their names with me. And I

[35:55] released different trapped emotions from

[35:56] each bird. This is probably at a

[35:58] distance. The very next day, they

[36:00] returned to the yard as if nothing had

[36:02] happened.

[36:02] >> Wow.

[36:05] >> Wow. What do you think is the biggest

[36:06] thing people get wrong about the

[36:07] subconscious mind?

[36:12] >> Well, I think what people get wrong

[36:13] about the subconscious mind usually is

[36:15] that they have they just don't know.

[36:16] They have no idea how incomprehensibly

[36:21] powerful it is. Right.

[36:22] >> Is it more powerful than the conscious

[36:24] mind?

[36:24] >> Oh, absolutely.

[36:25] >> Really? Yeah. Why is that?

[36:27] >> Think of it this way. Okay. Uh, all of

[36:30] your life, your subconscious mind has

[36:33] been keeping you alive, creating

[36:35] millions of new cells every minute, for

[36:37] example. They say that every cell in the

[36:40] body is equivalent in complexity to a

[36:43] full-size aircraft carrier with

[36:45] thousands of people on board, working at

[36:47] their individual jobs, with jets on the

[36:49] ramp, with their engines spooled up,

[36:50] ready to take off. That's how complex a

[36:53] single cell is. And you know, there's

[36:56] probably 35 or so trillion of those or

[36:58] maybe more, you know, in our bodies.

[37:00] >> Your subconscious mind knows what's

[37:02] going on with every single cell down to

[37:05] the quantum level, right?

[37:07] >> I mean, if you needed to, you could ask

[37:09] your subconscious mind about one single

[37:11] individual cell and it could answer any

[37:14] question that you wanted to about that

[37:16] cell.

[37:16] >> It's mind-blowing, right? There are

[37:18] trillions of chemical reactions going on

[37:20] every every moment in your life. Your

[37:23] subconscious mind, right, is supervising

[37:25] all of those. I think that the

[37:27] subconscious mind is the most powerful

[37:32] computer that exists in the known

[37:35] universe. And we, you know, we're just,

[37:38] we just don't even think about it. We

[37:39] take it for granted. You know, it runs

[37:41] our lives. It keeps air moving in and

[37:43] out of our lungs, keeps our hearts

[37:44] beating and all of that.

[37:46] >> And it also is remembering everything.

[37:49] And you know, so I think that that's

[37:51] what people miss is that it's well, it's

[37:53] divine. I believe in nature.

[37:55] >> I believe that we're children of God,

[37:57] that he created these spirits for us and

[38:00] and that we literally in a very very

[38:02] literal way are brothers and sisters,

[38:05] right? Uh in in the most literal way

[38:09] possible, we we have the same father. We

[38:12] come from the same family, right? We're

[38:14] all come we're all from the family of

[38:15] God. We might look different, but you

[38:17] know, we're really all the same.

[38:18] >> Yeah. Why do you think the conscious

[38:20] mind is so bad at knowing what the

[38:22] subconscious already knows?

[38:24] >> I asked a question once, you know,

[38:26] because what I used to do, I had heard

[38:30] that um that the conscious mind is um

[38:35] you know, is maybe maybe 10% of our

[38:39] intelligence, right?

[38:41] And uh and so I I had taught that for a

[38:43] long time and then I thought, you know,

[38:44] maybe I don't think it's 10%. I it can't

[38:46] be quite that much. So So one day I

[38:49] actually muscle tested this on somebody

[38:51] and I've done this on several people.

[38:54] And what I get when I muscle test this

[38:57] and ask the subconscious mind, I get

[38:58] that the conscious mind is 0.000000001%

[39:06] of our intelligence.

[39:08] >> Really?

[39:08] >> Yes. Isn't that interesting? And you

[39:11] know when people die and they go to the

[39:12] other side, I mean imagine if you could

[39:14] move the decimal point just one place be

[39:16] incredible. But people die and they go

[39:18] to the other side and they come back and

[39:20] sometimes they talk about how their mind

[39:23] expands in this incredible way and they

[39:25] can ask as many questions as they want

[39:27] at the same time and all the answers

[39:29] flow in spontaneously and are all

[39:31] understood perfectly

[39:32] >> when they die and come back.

[39:33] >> When they die when they're on the other

[39:34] side.

[39:35] >> So I think that in this life Yeah. Yeah,

[39:37] I think we're I think our ability to

[39:39] access our subconscious mind is dialed

[39:42] back to a great degree and I think that

[39:43] there are reasons for that. I think that

[39:45] um we're here to learn

[39:47] >> powerful or what?

[39:48] >> Well, I think that Yeah, I don't know. I

[39:50] mean, I think that we're here to learn

[39:51] to live by faith

[39:53] >> and we're here in this environment where

[39:55] we

[39:56] >> we have everything that we need, right?

[39:59] And ultimately, when you get to the end

[40:02] of your life, you find out that your

[40:04] life is the end result of all the

[40:05] choices that you made. And hopefully you

[40:07] chose wisely, right? And um but when you

[40:10] die, if you if you watch these

[40:12] near-death experiences, you know, people

[40:14] talk about how there's never really any

[40:16] judgment, even if they see their whole

[40:18] life, and they often report how they

[40:20] they get to experience the things that

[40:23] they did or said through the eyes and

[40:25] through the feelings of other people,

[40:27] the ripple effect, right? They get to

[40:29] experience it from all sides, which is

[40:31] really amazing. But it's never about

[40:33] judgment. It's always just about

[40:35] learning, right? And so, uh, so yeah, I

[40:38] think that this is a very important part

[40:39] of our learning. We're here and, um, I

[40:43] think the most important thing we can do

[40:45] is to learn how to how to love,

[40:47] >> right?

[40:48] >> Yeah.

[40:48] >> And what's interesting is when people

[40:50] get rid of that emotional baggage and

[40:52] especially when that heart wall, you

[40:54] know, that wall that gets built up, when

[40:55] that gets taken down, uh, people often

[40:58] fall in love who never thought they

[41:00] would. The School of Greatness is

[41:02] brought to you in partnership with

[41:03] Airbnb. One of my favorite parts of

[41:06] travel is when a trip gives you a

[41:08] feeling you can't really plan for.

[41:10] You're walking through a new city in the

[41:12] morning. You're grabbing coffee. You're

[41:13] talking to someone local. And suddenly

[41:16] the place feels a little bit more

[41:17] familiar. These are the moments that

[41:19] stay with me. They're the things that I

[41:21] crave. Not just the photos, but the

[41:23] feeling of being somewhere new and still

[41:26] finding meaningful connection. And

[41:28] that's what I love about Airbnb. When

[41:30] you're away having your own adventure,

[41:33] your home doesn't have to just sit empty

[41:35] either. You can share your space on

[41:37] Airbnb and give another traveler a

[41:39] chance to fall in love with your city

[41:41] the way that you fall in love with the

[41:43] places that you visit. And maybe there's

[41:45] a big game coming up. Or maybe people

[41:47] are coming in for a once in a-lifetime

[41:49] concert. They need a place that feels

[41:51] comfortable and inviting. And the income

[41:54] from sharing your home can help pay for

[41:56] your own trips. Your home might be worth

[41:59] more than you think. Find out how much

[42:01] at airbnb.com/host.

[42:05] >> What do people's life look like when

[42:07] they're living with a heart wall without

[42:10] actually knowing it?

[42:11] >> Well, you know, about 93% of people have

[42:13] a heart wall and don't know it. And so

[42:16] it's it's the majority of people. It's

[42:17] how most people are living.

[42:18] >> And what does a heart wall actually

[42:20] mean? The heart is everything the

[42:21] ancients believed it to be. And uh and

[42:24] we're finally beginning to realize all

[42:26] of that now. Well, when you feel like

[42:27] your heart's going to break at some

[42:29] point and you feel that physical

[42:30] sensation, which most people have felt

[42:33] and can remember at some point, maybe

[42:35] more than once. All right.

[42:36] >> For some people, it's multiple times.

[42:39] >> The subconscious mind will build a wall

[42:41] to try to protect the heart because the

[42:43] heart really is the core of our being.

[42:45] >> Keeps us alive.

[42:46] >> It keeps us alive. and and it also you

[42:50] know there's a little brain in the heart

[42:52] 40,000 neurites and uh they've known

[42:55] about this for many years but it wasn't

[42:56] until the early 90s that they actually

[42:58] looked at the communications between the

[43:00] brain up here and the brain and the

[43:02] heart and what they found really was

[43:05] weird because they found that the vast

[43:06] majority of the communications were

[43:08] going from the heart brain to the brain

[43:11] and the head

[43:12] >> first from the heart to the brain

[43:13] >> exactly indicating that gee maybe maybe

[43:17] the brain bra that is in our heads is

[43:19] obeying the messages sent by the brain

[43:22] from the the heart center.

[43:23] >> Yeah, exactly. Interesting.

[43:24] >> They've also found interesting things

[43:26] about this this little brain in the

[43:27] heart that it actually has the ability

[43:31] uh of precognition. In other words,

[43:34] they've done tests and they found that

[43:36] there are times when a split second

[43:38] before something actually happens in

[43:40] reality, this heart brain will register

[43:43] it.

[43:44] >> Isn't that interesting?

[43:45] >> Yeah.

[43:46] >> Wow. So I think that information that

[43:48] comes into us, inspiration from above

[43:50] comes in to the heart brain, right? And

[43:53] you know, it's so interesting because

[43:55] when when people have heart transplants,

[43:57] uh they sometimes inherit the memories

[44:01] of the donor sometimes, you know, the

[44:03] the affinities of the donor. I mean, you

[44:05] get a heart transplant, suddenly you

[44:06] love baseball, you talk to the heart

[44:08] donor family and they'll say, "Well,

[44:09] yeah, our son was a baseball player. His

[44:11] heart's beating in your chest now."

[44:13] Isn't

[44:13] >> that crazy?

[44:14] >> Yeah. Amazing things. Um, one of the

[44:16] most incredible ones was this 9-year-old

[44:19] girl who got a heart transplant from

[44:21] another young girl who had been

[44:23] murdered. And when she recovered, she

[44:26] started having these nightmares.

[44:28] Nightmares that she was being killed.

[44:30] And the nightmares were so consistent

[44:33] that her parents took her to the police

[44:36] and they were able to make composite

[44:38] drawings from her descriptions. No, I'm

[44:42] serious. from her descriptions that the

[44:44] murderer and the murder weapon, they led

[44:46] to the arrest and conviction of the

[44:48] actual murderer.

[44:48] >> That is crazy.

[44:49] >> And the moral of that story is if you're

[44:51] going to get a heart transplant, don't

[44:52] get one from somebody that was murdered.

[44:54] >> Right. Exactly. Wow.

[44:55] >> That's what I'd say.

[44:56] >> Wow. Um, you know, it's interesting

[44:59] because I always felt like I was a very

[45:01] loving kid, loving teen, loving adult,

[45:04] like just loving in general. But I had a

[45:06] lot of anger as well. like when someone

[45:09] when something would happen, I would

[45:11] feel an instant like reaction if it felt

[45:14] like it was unjust or if I felt like it

[45:16] was an abuse or an abandonment or some

[45:19] type of feeling, right?

[45:21] >> And even if it wasn't happening, if I

[45:23] interpreted it as happening, I would

[45:25] feel that I would feel that friction or

[45:26] frustration or blockage.

[45:29] And it wasn't all the time necessarily,

[45:32] but it would kind of come and go and and

[45:34] then I'd have some breakthroughs and I'd

[45:36] have some healing and then it'd get a

[45:37] little better, but then it was still

[45:38] kind of there, right? Until 5 years ago,

[45:41] I was doing some pretty deep therapy

[45:44] healing work.

[45:45] >> And at one point, um, something that my

[45:49] therapist said to me after, and I was

[45:52] doing six to seven hour sessions at a

[45:55] time. So, I was like,

[45:56] >> wow. It wasn't just let's talk for an

[45:57] hour and like come back in a few weeks.

[45:59] It was like every weekend six to seven

[46:02] hours at a session. Let's figure out

[46:04] what's really going on.

[46:05] >> Intense,

[46:06] >> intense. And it was a lot of [sighs]

[46:10] exercises, role playing, you know,

[46:11] emotional things, all these different

[46:13] things to kind of see what's coming up.

[46:16] And at one point kind of all the work

[46:18] and all the reflection and all the

[46:20] experiences and lessons finally landed

[46:23] finally connected to my heart

[46:26] >> where there's something that she said it

[46:29] finally was like oh okay like my body

[46:32] finally got it

[46:34] >> and there was a pain in my chest that I

[46:36] was having for a number of years that

[46:38] would come and go

[46:40] >> and I was feeling it at that moment and

[46:43] it was like kind of a a heaviness a

[46:44] weight or a clench pinchness on my

[46:46] heart.

[46:46] >> Mhm.

[46:47] >> And all of a sudden, like it finally

[46:49] resonated to where it was like almost

[46:51] like a pop sensation where I thought I

[46:54] hurt myself.

[46:55] >> And I'm sitting here on a in a chair,

[46:57] right? I'm not doing anything act

[46:58] physically active. And I thought like I

[47:00] hurt myself cuz it's like

[47:02] >> my brain, my heart, my whole body had a

[47:04] realization, an awareness

[47:07] >> that I am safe and I'm going to be safe.

[47:11] >> And this pain popped and it was almost

[47:14] like

[47:15] plasma or like a sensation of like

[47:18] rushing through my body from every angle

[47:20] from my heart all through my body, my

[47:22] head, my fingers, my toes

[47:24] >> rushing and I remember just being like,

[47:25] "Oh shoot, what's going on?" I was like

[47:27] really nervous cuz like I wasn't going

[47:29] to be able to control anything and I

[47:31] felt this rush throughout my whole body

[47:33] and all I was doing was sitting there.

[47:34] >> Yeah.

[47:36] >> And I remember saying like after a

[47:37] couple minutes I go, "Something's

[47:38] happening right now. Give me a moment."

[47:40] And after a couple moments, I go, "Man,

[47:42] I have zero pain in my chest anymore."

[47:45] And I'd felt pain for years.

[47:47] >> Yeah.

[47:48] >> And I don't know if I don't know if that

[47:50] was an extreme heart wall that I was,

[47:52] you know, living with for many years

[47:54] that finally kind of had a release or

[47:56] some type of sensation energetically

[47:58] that then rushed to my body. I don't

[48:00] know physically how to calculate what

[48:03] happened physically in the body,

[48:05] >> but is it something that you might be

[48:06] able to explain what chemically happened

[48:08] or physically happened with that pain

[48:12] released from the heart and rushed

[48:13] throughout the body?

[48:14] >> Well, I've seen this kind of thing many

[48:15] times with people. I mean, not exactly

[48:17] as you describe, but I've seen lots and

[48:19] lots of people with heaviness in the

[48:21] chest that they have for years and

[48:23] decades. And um one of the beautiful

[48:26] things about the emotion code for

[48:28] example uh is that um it's very very

[48:31] fast. Now it took you a lot of work and

[48:34] a lot of hours and many sessions

[48:36] >> where um we're usually um you know we're

[48:40] able to get results like that with

[48:42] people often in a single session or a

[48:44] few sessions.

[48:45] >> Yeah. Does someone ever have that type

[48:47] of sensation where they say like

[48:49] something exploded in their heart and

[48:52] there was a rush throughout their body?

[48:54] >> Yeah.

[48:54] >> I wonder what that was.

[48:56] >> It was probably some emotional baggage

[48:59] that your subconscious mind was holding

[49:01] on to that finally through all that

[49:03] processing

[49:04] >> you were able to release

[49:06] >> and and then suddenly you had blood

[49:08] flow.

[49:09] >> Really?

[49:10] >> Yes. That's probably what it was. I've

[49:11] seen that kind of thing before where

[49:13] when we have trapped emotions, they will

[49:15] definitely interfere sometimes with

[49:17] blood flow and when you release all of a

[49:19] sudden people can feel blood flowing.

[49:21] It's really interesting. I mean, yeah,

[49:23] it's a quantum phenomenon really, but

[49:25] then there's also of course all these

[49:27] physical effects.

[49:28] >> Yeah.

[49:28] >> But I'm glad you had that experience.

[49:30] >> I have too cuz I I've had that heart

[49:31] pain in five plus years.

[49:33] >> Yeah. And you say that people once they

[49:35] kind of let go of this heart wall, they

[49:39] tend to find love pretty quickly or they

[49:41] bring more love into their life.

[49:43] >> They often do. Let me share a story with

[49:45] you. Um, one of my very favorite stories

[49:48] is one of the very first people that

[49:50] that I worked on after we had this

[49:53] experience where we learned about this

[49:55] heart wall. And that was an interesting

[49:57] experience. But the the one of the very

[49:58] first people I worked on was this woman

[50:00] who came in to see me. She had neck

[50:01] pain. and her neck pain was about a nine

[50:03] on a 0 to 10 scale. And as I was talking

[50:05] with her, she told me that she was a

[50:07] nurse. She was 38 years old. And uh she

[50:10] was single. She had not dated in 8 years

[50:12] and she was never going to date again.

[50:13] She was sworn to, you know, being single

[50:17] the rest of her life. And she was an

[50:20] attractive, you know, person. And I

[50:22] said, "Well, you know, why do you uh

[50:23] how'd you arrive at that? How, you know,

[50:25] what how'd you make that decision?" And

[50:26] she said that eight years before she was

[50:28] really deeply in love with this guy that

[50:30] dumped her and broke her heart. Mhm. And

[50:32] that was it. No more pain.

[50:33] >> I'm done. I'm not I'm not going to open

[50:35] myself up. I'm not going to be

[50:36] vulnerable anymore.

[50:37] >> Never again.

[50:38] >> And she's got this neck pain. And that's

[50:39] what brought her into the office. Right.

[50:41] So I said, "Okay." So I start checking

[50:43] her and I find she has a heart wall,

[50:45] right? There were three layers, three

[50:47] emotions making up this wall. Now you

[50:49] can't see this wall. It's invisible, but

[50:50] these three layers all had to do with

[50:52] the breakup from eight years before. So

[50:55] just took a few minutes, you know,

[50:56] cleared one, two, cleared the last one.

[50:58] When I cleared the last one, suddenly

[51:00] the neck pain went from 9 to zero.

[51:02] >> Wow.

[51:02] >> I mean, just instantly. Right. And she

[51:04] was so thrilled cuz that's why she'd

[51:06] come in.

[51:07] >> The neck pain.

[51:08] >> Yeah. The neck pain. So her neck pain's

[51:09] gone. Her heart wall is also gone. So So

[51:13] she leaves the office feeling fine.

[51:14] Doesn't come back. Three months later,

[51:17] I always remember this. I saw her in my

[51:19] hallway in my office. And I said, "Hey."

[51:21] I said, "How are you doing? What's going

[51:22] She said, you know, she said, "My neck

[51:24] has been fine since I was here, but she

[51:26] said, you cleared that heart wall for

[51:28] me, and that really works." She said,

[51:31] "About 2 weeks after I was here,

[51:34] I ran into my childhood sweetheart and

[51:38] found out he's been living right around

[51:40] the corner from me for almost eight

[51:42] years." Wow.

[51:43] >> And we're dating

[51:45] >> and we're in love and I think he's going

[51:48] to ask me to marry him. Right. And I

[51:49] just thought,

[51:51] >> what a switch, right? Now think about

[51:52] that. Why had she never He lived right

[51:54] around the corner for eight years. Why'd

[51:55] she never run into him?

[51:56] >> She [snorts] blocked it.

[51:56] >> She blocked it. She had this wall up and

[51:58] so it didn't happen until that wall was

[52:01] gone. Let me tell you one other story.

[52:03] One of my favorite other stories about

[52:05] this. This woman brought her son in. He

[52:08] was 9 years old. And she said that what

[52:10] had happened was first thing that

[52:12] happened was she found that uh he

[52:15] wouldn't hand in his homework. If he if

[52:17] he did it, he wouldn't hand it in or he

[52:18] wouldn't do it. Uh, and she'd go into

[52:20] his room sometimes at night and he'd be

[52:22] on the floor and she'd say, "What are

[52:23] you doing on the floor?" And he'd say,

[52:24] "I don't deserve to be in a bed." And

[52:26] she thought, "That's weird."

[52:28] >> And so finally she paid a surprise visit

[52:31] to his classroom one day only to find

[52:33] his teacher berating him for being

[52:35] pathetic.

[52:37] And so she took him out of school and

[52:39] tried to do homeschool. That didn't

[52:40] work. She took him to see a psychiatrist

[52:43] and a psychologist. and she was told

[52:44] that he was clinically depressed at 9

[52:47] years old, but they couldn't be helped

[52:49] because he wouldn't admit that he was

[52:50] depressed. He had this grin kind of

[52:53] pasted on all the time because he knew

[52:55] he was supposed to be happy. He should

[52:57] be happy, but he was so depressed. And

[53:00] so he kind of had this fake sort of

[53:02] smile pasted on. He's 9 years old. He's

[53:04] trying to deal with it, right? So my

[53:06] wife and I worked on him. We found he

[53:09] had a heart wall and there were several

[53:12] layers, several emotions making up this

[53:14] wall

[53:16] and um they all had to do with tragic

[53:19] things that had happened in the extended

[53:21] family. You know, a couple cousins died

[53:22] in a car wreck and so on. And so these

[53:24] layers, we cleared those layers, took us

[53:26] about a half hour total. We got to the

[53:28] very last emotion, the one that had

[53:30] actually formed this heart wall. And

[53:32] here's what had happened. Uh he was 5

[53:35] years old at the time. his big sister

[53:38] was babysitting him at this family

[53:40] reunion at a lake in California and um

[53:44] they were out on this dock and there was

[53:46] no adult supervision around. It was the

[53:47] two of them, but also they were joined

[53:49] by this other little boy that she was

[53:51] watching, little 5-year-old cousin, his

[53:54] best friend.

[53:56] And she decided it would be a great idea

[53:58] to try to teach this little cousin how

[53:59] to swim.

[54:01] And his body disappeared under the dock.

[54:04] And about an hour later, the divers

[54:07] pulled his body out from under the dock.

[54:08] And of course, he's long dead. Oh.

[54:10] >> And his body's blue. And um the crushing

[54:15] weight of guilt that his sister is

[54:19] feeling for having such a horrific thing

[54:22] happen on her watch as the babysitter.

[54:25] that emotional energy, that emotion of

[54:28] guilt became absorbed into his body and

[54:31] immediately formed into a wall of energy

[54:34] around his heart to protect his heart

[54:36] cuz his heart was breaking, right, for

[54:39] her, but also for his best little friend

[54:41] that now was dead.

[54:43] >> And so that was the last emotion that we

[54:45] cleared. And then the muscle testing

[54:48] showed the heart wall was gone. So she

[54:50] takes him home. So in the next couple of

[54:52] days, he's just kind of lying around

[54:53] lethargic. and she was thinking, "Well,

[54:55] it doesn't look like that really worked

[54:56] either." But on the morning of the third

[54:59] day after we worked on him, he got

[55:00] himself up early, got himself ready to

[55:02] go to school and got his lunchbox in his

[55:04] backpack. He comes downstairs and he

[55:06] says, "Mom, I can go back to school now.

[55:07] I'm a happy." And that's a direct quote.

[55:11] And so he did go back to school and he

[55:13] went into the program for advanced kids

[55:15] because he was doing so well and all his

[55:16] learning disabilities were gone. And

[55:17] >> wow. And uh that kid I think now is 37

[55:22] and I think he's you know I don't know

[55:23] how many kids of his own he's got but

[55:25] his mother told us after that she said

[55:27] um she said if I had not been open to

[55:30] something so different

[55:31] >> she said my son would not have survived.

[55:34] >> Wow.

[55:34] >> You know cuz he was so depressed at age

[55:36] nine. Think of that.

[55:38] >> Yeah.

[55:39] >> So the heart wall we have found is the

[55:42] single most powerful thing that there is

[55:45] for depression.

[55:47] You see the thing is I I believe that

[55:49] the best ideas that you'll ever have

[55:51] won't really come from this brain in

[55:53] your head. They'll come from your heart

[55:55] brain really, you know, and so when

[55:57] people tell you when you graduate from

[55:59] high school, you know, or college and

[56:00] they say follow your heart, right?

[56:02] That's great advice, but what if you

[56:04] have a heart wall and n out of 10 people

[56:06] do?

[56:06] >> Yeah. It's hard to follow it then.

[56:08] >> It makes it much more difficult.

[56:09] >> It's confusing because then you start

[56:10] following your analytical mind. Well, I

[56:13] should be doing this. This is like the

[56:15] thing that's the right thing to do or as

[56:17] opposed to really following what your

[56:18] heart

[56:19] >> dreams of doing.

[56:20] >> Yeah. And I really believe Lewis that

[56:22] there's a perfect blueprint that lies

[56:24] within the heart of every single person

[56:26] of the perfect life that they can have

[56:28] and that they can live.

[56:29] >> But if your heart is surrounded with all

[56:31] these layers of negative emotion, it

[56:32] just makes it so much harder.

[56:33] >> Wow.

[56:34] >> Yeah.

[56:34] >> Can you unblock these trapped emotions

[56:39] yourself or do you need someone else to

[56:41] help you unblock them? You absolutely

[56:43] can. Um, you absolutely can. And lots of

[56:46] people have changed their lives. Uh,

[56:49] and, um, so for your listeners,

[56:51] emotioncodenow.com would be the place to

[56:53] go where they can actually, we've got

[56:55] videos and a little program where they

[56:57] can learn how to do this, how to release

[56:58] their first direct emotion, walk them

[56:59] through it.

[57:00] >> Yes.

[57:01] >> That's cool.

[57:01] >> Yeah. And all the information is in the

[57:02] books, too. We don't hold anything back.

[57:04] You can learn the whole process in the

[57:05] emotion code book. The heart code book

[57:07] is all about the heart wall

[57:08] specifically, you know. Um, it's all in

[57:10] there cuz people need it. They, the

[57:14] world needs this.

[57:15] >> Do you feel like if someone were to

[57:16] release the emotional baggage trapped

[57:19] around their hearts, they would be able

[57:21] to manifest more of what they want?

[57:23] >> Well, absolutely. I mean, people can

[57:26] have other emotional baggage, you know,

[57:28] in their body besides that that's

[57:29] wrapped around their heart. Uh-huh. But

[57:31] typically when I was in practice, what I

[57:33] used to do is if somebody had some kind

[57:35] of a fire burning, for example, if you

[57:37] know, if they really had neck pain or

[57:39] whatever, I take care of that and then I

[57:40] go right to the heart wall.

[57:43] >> Interesting.

[57:43] >> But um but yeah, it it happens all the

[57:46] time. This a woman named Joy in London

[57:48] in the UK. She said, "The husband of my

[57:50] friend came to me for a session. He

[57:54] didn't want to tell his wife about the

[57:55] heart wall we cleared. So, I waited to

[57:58] see if my friend noticed any changes.

[58:00] She called me the next day saying, "I

[58:03] don't know what you did, but he has been

[58:05] so loving."

[58:07] >> She said that she had never felt more

[58:08] loved in her marriage. All the wrinkles

[58:10] on his brow had eased away and he was

[58:11] smiling more. She even mentioned a

[58:13] couple of months later that he he could

[58:14] thank me for saving their marriage.

[58:17] >> Wow,

[58:18] [laughter]

[58:18] >> that's cool. Well, this is a quote from

[58:22] your your book, The Emotion Code. You

[58:24] say those whose hearts are open will be

[58:26] the anchors for that divine energy that

[58:28] will transform and heal the world.

[58:30] >> Exactly.

[58:31] >> When we lack the ability to have an open

[58:33] heart, it sounds like we lack the

[58:35] ability to access the divine to

[58:39] transform and heal the world. But when

[58:40] we allow ourselves to have an open

[58:42] heart, which I guess is challenging if

[58:45] you have been hurt emotionally in the

[58:47] past or been let down or been lied to or

[58:50] abandoned or used or abused or taken

[58:53] advantage of or

[58:54] >> so many of us have been in one way or

[58:56] another, right?

[58:57] >> Everyone has been at some point. One of

[58:59] those emotions has happened. And usually

[59:02] what happens is we then create a film

[59:05] over our heart, some type of callous,

[59:07] right, that says, "Okay, I don't want

[59:09] that to happen again. Therefore, I'm

[59:11] going to block that from happening. I'm

[59:13] not going to be as excited. I'm not

[59:15] going to be as emotionally available.

[59:16] I'm not going to be as

[59:18] >> loving towards people. I'm going to be

[59:20] more questioning. I'm going to be more

[59:21] guarded. I'm going to be more closed

[59:22] off." Right? Because I was this and I

[59:25] got hurt, right? I was in a marriage and

[59:28] he cheated on me or she cheated on me or

[59:30] whatever it is,

[59:30] >> right?

[59:31] >> And therefore, I'm never I'm always

[59:33] going to be single the rest of my life.

[59:34] It's like a callous, right?

[59:36] >> Yeah. Exactly.

[59:37] >> And it's hard to access the divine with

[59:41] a calloused heart. It's hard to access

[59:44] abundance with a callous heart,

[59:46] >> right?

[59:47] >> And it's hard to transform your life and

[59:50] heal others with a callous heart. So I

[59:54] love that quote from your book. Those

[59:55] whose hearts are open will be the

[59:57] anchors for that divine energy that will

[59:59] transform and heal the world. So what

[1:00:01] does that actually look like day-to-day

[1:00:03] for someone to become one of those

[1:00:06] anchors? Since better than 90% of

[1:00:09] people, we think about 93% of people

[1:00:11] actually have a heart wall. Um the most

[1:00:15] important thing I think first to

[1:00:16] recognize is uh is that you probably

[1:00:19] have this phenomenon going on. And you

[1:00:23] know it's interesting because not only

[1:00:25] does it affect you uh with your

[1:00:28] relationships and with your ability to

[1:00:30] create money and abundance and so on, it

[1:00:34] also has a huge amount to do with your

[1:00:35] health.

[1:00:36] >> Yes. When I was in practice, the last 10

[1:00:39] years that I was in practice, most of

[1:00:41] the people that I saw had been told

[1:00:42] there was really no hope for them in

[1:00:43] Western medicine at all. And yet, the

[1:00:46] vast majority of them, with just a

[1:00:47] couple of exceptions, were able to get

[1:00:49] well. Why? Well, because I was asking

[1:00:51] questions other people weren't asking.

[1:00:54] And also because I knew about this heart

[1:00:56] wall phenomenon. And sometimes, well,

[1:01:00] every one of these patients would get a

[1:01:01] typical western medicine exam, but they

[1:01:04] would also get another exam where I

[1:01:05] would check the balance of all the

[1:01:07] organs energetically, all the glands,

[1:01:10] all the chakras, all the meridians. And

[1:01:12] it wasn't unusual for these people who

[1:01:14] were so sick to find that all the organs

[1:01:16] and all the glands were out of balance

[1:01:17] and many of the chakras and meridians.

[1:01:19] And I would write all that down. And

[1:01:21] then sometimes with these people, I

[1:01:22] would just do one thing. I would just

[1:01:25] remove that emotional energy that had

[1:01:28] wrapped up and built around their heart

[1:01:30] and then I would redo that exam Lewis

[1:01:33] and inevitably every time I did that I

[1:01:35] would find that 80% of all those organs

[1:01:37] and glands were humming away again you

[1:01:40] know balanced perfectly and the and the

[1:01:42] meridians and chakras too and I found

[1:01:44] that it was the single most powerful

[1:01:46] thing that I could do for a person to

[1:01:48] help them to get well we're living in

[1:01:50] the age of the heart now and we finally

[1:01:52] have this knowledge knowledge. This

[1:01:54] heart wall is a real thing. I never in

[1:01:56] my wildest dreams would have imagined

[1:01:57] this goes on that the subconscious mind

[1:01:59] builds a wall. And and the funny thing

[1:02:02] about it too is that it will always um

[1:02:05] have some symbolic material that it's

[1:02:07] quote unquote made out of. And so it's

[1:02:10] often building materials like you know

[1:02:12] like concrete or you know

[1:02:14] >> why is that? It's not made of any

[1:02:16] material. It's just it's just an

[1:02:18] energetic field.

[1:02:19] >> It's just an Well, yeah. But I think to

[1:02:21] the subconscious mind um I think that it

[1:02:24] understands that you can't have a wall

[1:02:26] made out of nothing and so it'll choose

[1:02:28] something and it's it'll interpret it as

[1:02:30] something. Yeah.

[1:02:31] >> Yeah. It's it's a symbolic sort of a

[1:02:33] thing and and we talk about it in the

[1:02:35] heart code. It's it's just an incidental

[1:02:37] sort of uh thing. But it's interesting

[1:02:39] because some people will have a heart

[1:02:40] wall that's made of one-way mirror so

[1:02:42] they can see out but nobody can see in.

[1:02:44] Oh man. You know, I mean we've seen all

[1:02:47] kinds of crazy things. Now, I want to

[1:02:49] ask you about beliefs really quick

[1:02:50] because you talk about these different

[1:02:51] codes, emotion codes, body codes, and

[1:02:53] belief codes.

[1:02:55] >> If you were only able to give one

[1:02:57] prescription for someone listening or

[1:02:59] watching right now,

[1:03:00] >> from all the experience you have from

[1:03:03] being a doctor to to doing the energy

[1:03:05] healing work that you do now

[1:03:07] >> and you could only prescribe people with

[1:03:09] one belief,

[1:03:10] >> what would you prescribe people to

[1:03:12] believe most? I think probably the most

[1:03:15] powerful belief that a person can have

[1:03:18] is a belief in the higher power but that

[1:03:22] but that that higher power loves them

[1:03:25] without limit.

[1:03:26] >> You know to believe that to believe that

[1:03:29] God um or the creator source energy or

[1:03:34] however you refer to it has perfect love

[1:03:37] for you that fills

[1:03:40] the immensity of space itself. I think

[1:03:43] that's the most powerful belief you

[1:03:45] could have because then I think you

[1:03:49] would feel that you could do anything

[1:03:51] because you've got the backing of the

[1:03:53] supreme creator of the universe. Right?

[1:03:56] >> If people watching or listening don't

[1:03:58] have a belief in God

[1:04:00] >> and they don't have a belief that God

[1:04:02] truly loves them and wants them to be

[1:04:05] unlimited in their abilities.

[1:04:08] >> What would you say to them? And what do

[1:04:09] you think is holding them back if they

[1:04:11] aren't at least curious to believe that?

[1:04:14] >> You know, we all come into this world

[1:04:16] and I uh [snorts]

[1:04:19] I had an experience one day. I was 18

[1:04:22] years old and I was just sitting

[1:04:24] meditating very quietly and all of a

[1:04:26] sudden I had this experience that I'll

[1:04:28] that I'll try to describe. First, I

[1:04:30] believe that be before we come into this

[1:04:32] world, we live with God in this place of

[1:04:36] indescribable

[1:04:37] beauty and high vibration and

[1:04:39] unconditional love and everything,

[1:04:41] right? And then we come into this world

[1:04:43] for these specific reasons, right? To to

[1:04:45] learn and to make choices and, you know,

[1:04:48] learn from our choices, etc. But when we

[1:04:51] come into this world, there is a a

[1:04:53] shield put over us or you might call it

[1:04:55] a veil. It's like the veil of memory. I

[1:04:58] talk about it a little bit and I talk

[1:04:59] about this experience actually in the

[1:05:00] emotion code book where our memories of

[1:05:03] where we were before are blocked off to

[1:05:05] us. We can't access them anymore, right?

[1:05:08] All we know is here we are,

[1:05:10] >> right? And that this is all we know and

[1:05:12] all we've ever known. But [snorts] we've

[1:05:14] been alive, I believe, forever before we

[1:05:16] come here. And so I'm sitting one day,

[1:05:19] 18 years old, just quietly meditating

[1:05:21] and all of a sudden

[1:05:23] it's like this window opens somehow and

[1:05:26] suddenly every particle my being is

[1:05:30] filled with the most overwhelmingly

[1:05:34] powerful feeling of homesickness

[1:05:38] that I can't describe. Completely off

[1:05:40] the chart

[1:05:42] to be back where I was before I came

[1:05:45] here, right? to be back where we all

[1:05:47] were. And this lasted for about three

[1:05:49] seconds. It was like this window opened

[1:05:52] and then it closed and it just left me

[1:05:54] reeling.

[1:05:56] And I realized from that experience a

[1:05:58] couple of things. I realized that we

[1:05:59] really truly are strangers here just

[1:06:01] passing through because we come from

[1:06:04] somewhere that is William Wdsworth said

[1:06:06] it. He said um trailing clouds of glory

[1:06:09] do we come into this world from God who

[1:06:12] is our home. And um and I realized

[1:06:17] that that we're strangers here. But I

[1:06:19] also realized that it's a good thing

[1:06:20] that we have that block on our memories

[1:06:24] because if we didn't have that, I

[1:06:26] realized we would not be able to

[1:06:27] tolerate it here in this world for five

[1:06:29] minutes.

[1:06:30] >> We'd want to go back or go beyond

[1:06:32] whatever.

[1:06:33] >> Yeah. So, you know, I've had some some

[1:06:35] very interesting experiences and I I um

[1:06:38] some very powerful spiritual experiences

[1:06:40] and I know that God lives, that he loves

[1:06:42] us beyond our ability to understand. I

[1:06:46] had an experience at Disneyland once

[1:06:48] that I talk about in the body code book

[1:06:50] [snorts] where um one day I took some of

[1:06:52] the some of our kids to Disneyland and I

[1:06:55] didn't really want to go that bad, but I

[1:06:57] took them, you know, trying to be a good

[1:06:58] dad, right? And so I got him in line for

[1:07:00] a ride and then I'm kind of walking

[1:07:02] around and and just kind of in this

[1:07:04] pensive sort of state, not having really

[1:07:07] anything specific to do. And I'm

[1:07:09] noticing people and you know, you've

[1:07:11] been to Disneyland, there's all kinds of

[1:07:13] people from all over the world and all

[1:07:14] shapes and sizes and colors and

[1:07:15] everything else.

[1:07:16] >> And I remember thinking to myself, you

[1:07:18] know, I'm sure these are all really nice

[1:07:19] people, but they don't really mean

[1:07:20] anything to me. I don't love these

[1:07:22] people.

[1:07:23] >> And I thought, I wonder what it's like

[1:07:25] for God, our father in heaven. And I

[1:07:27] wonder what it's like for him because,

[1:07:29] you know, it says that he loves

[1:07:31] everybody, right? And that we're all his

[1:07:32] children. He must love all of us. What

[1:07:34] would that be like? And so I said this

[1:07:36] prayer and I said, you know, help me to

[1:07:38] understand what that's like for you, you

[1:07:40] know, God. And I didn't get an answer.

[1:07:42] And I kind of just mentally shrugged my

[1:07:43] shoulders and went home, right? So when

[1:07:45] I got home, our two younger boys were

[1:07:50] absolutely

[1:07:51] just in shock. They couldn't believe I

[1:07:53] didn't take them to Disneyland, right?

[1:07:56] and they were a little younger, you

[1:07:57] know, like eight and six, and I should

[1:07:59] have taken them, but I don't know what

[1:08:00] happened. But anyway, they badgered me

[1:08:02] relentlessly, and I finally said, "All

[1:08:03] right, fine." If you've ever been

[1:08:05] harassed and brutalized by kids,

[1:08:08] >> that's how that went. So, I So, the next

[1:08:10] Saturday, I find myself back at

[1:08:11] Disneyland again.

[1:08:13] >> And I get them in line for a ride and uh

[1:08:17] and I go for a walk and I find myself

[1:08:21] kind of falling into the same thoughts

[1:08:23] from the week before.

[1:08:26] And I'm on this bridge at California

[1:08:27] Adventure walking over this bridge

[1:08:31] and I'm look noticing these people and

[1:08:32] and I have this thought and the thought

[1:08:34] was I wonder what it's like for our

[1:08:37] father in heaven

[1:08:39] who loves everybody and all of a sudden

[1:08:42] the prayer from the week before was

[1:08:44] answered.

[1:08:46] And I'll try to describe this because

[1:08:49] it's kind of indescribable. But all of a

[1:08:51] sudden, I was filled with this

[1:08:53] unconditional perfect love for all these

[1:08:56] people on this bridge.

[1:08:58] >> And I looked to my ride and there was a

[1:09:00] ride over there with probably 200 people

[1:09:02] in line for this ride. And I have this

[1:09:06] unconditional love, this perfect love

[1:09:09] for all these people in this line. And

[1:09:12] this was so far outside of my realm of

[1:09:14] experience, right? And so far outside of

[1:09:15] my box that I suddenly felt panic and

[1:09:18] instantly it was gone. Wow.

[1:09:20] >> Just instantly shut off.

[1:09:22] >> I had that experience. I know that we

[1:09:24] have no idea how much we're loved.

[1:09:26] >> Wow.

[1:09:27] >> And that's the truth of our existence.

[1:09:29] >> Yeah.

[1:09:29] >> Is that we are so loved.

[1:09:31] >> Yeah.

[1:09:32] >> Beautiful.

[1:09:33] >> I've got a couple final questions for

[1:09:34] you, Brad. This has been powerful

[1:09:36] >> and I want people to check out all your

[1:09:38] work. You have the emotion code, the

[1:09:39] hard code, the body code. And uh if

[1:09:42] people go to

[1:09:42] discoverhealing.com/greatness,

[1:09:45] they can uh learn more about the emotion

[1:09:47] code. And I think there's another link

[1:09:48] you said something

[1:09:49] >> emotion code now.

[1:09:50] >> Emotion now.com as well.

[1:09:52] >> You can go through a quiz or a test that

[1:09:54] you can learn more.

[1:09:55] >> Yeah, we got lots of information there

[1:09:57] about the books. You can book a session

[1:09:59] with somebody. Um we've got the little

[1:10:01] course there that you can take where you

[1:10:03] can learn how to release. We'll walk you

[1:10:04] through releasing your first trapped

[1:10:05] emotion.

[1:10:06] >> That's cool. That's cool. So everyone go

[1:10:08] there and check that out if you feel

[1:10:09] like you need to release something,

[1:10:11] which most of us do.

[1:10:13] >> Yeah, I think so. This is a question

[1:10:14] called the three truths that I ask

[1:10:16] everyone towards the end. So imagine

[1:10:18] hypothetically you get to live as long

[1:10:19] as you want in this world but it's your

[1:10:21] last day.

[1:10:22] >> Yeah.

[1:10:22] >> And uh you continue to create and serve

[1:10:25] and and heal people and and and add

[1:10:27] value in the ways you want to but for

[1:10:28] whatever reason on the last day you have

[1:10:31] to take all of your work with you. This

[1:10:33] conversation, all of your books,

[1:10:34] everything you've ever put out there

[1:10:36] goes to the next place.

[1:10:38] >> Yeah.

[1:10:38] >> But on the last day you get to leave

[1:10:39] behind three lessons to the world. and

[1:10:42] that's all we would have of your content

[1:10:44] left once you leave.

[1:10:46] >> What would those three truths be for

[1:10:48] you?

[1:10:49] >> That God is real, that he lives, that he

[1:10:51] loves us all beyond our ability to

[1:10:54] understand, and that the most important

[1:10:57] thing that you can do in this life is to

[1:11:00] learn how to love other people

[1:11:04] unconditionally.

[1:11:06] >> That's hard hard for a lot of people.

[1:11:08] >> Yeah, it is. Well, it's not meant to be

[1:11:10] easy, I don't think.

[1:11:12] >> Yeah.

[1:11:12] >> But you know what's interesting is that

[1:11:15] as people release their emotional

[1:11:17] baggage, they become more capable of

[1:11:20] that love. In fact, we've had multiple

[1:11:22] people over many years tell us that when

[1:11:24] that heart wall is taken down, they can

[1:11:26] feel the love of the of the creator for

[1:11:28] them.

[1:11:29] >> That's beautiful. I want to acknowledge

[1:11:30] you, Brad, for the journey you've been

[1:11:33] on because it's been 22 years since you

[1:11:35] left your practice

[1:11:37] >> to explore how to bring more healing to

[1:11:42] more people.

[1:11:43] >> And I acknowledge you for going on that

[1:11:45] journey because probably 22 years ago,

[1:11:47] it wasn't

[1:11:48] >> popular to

[1:11:50] leave something that you had committed

[1:11:52] to your whole life essentially.

[1:11:54] >> Yeah. to being known as one thing in

[1:11:57] chiropractic and then going into this

[1:11:59] field of energy healing. So, I want to

[1:12:01] acknowledge you for the journey that

[1:12:02] you've been on and the journey you'll

[1:12:03] continue to help people release trapped

[1:12:06] emotions

[1:12:07] >> and feel more free and feel more loved

[1:12:10] because that's what we all need more of.

[1:12:11] So, I want to acknowledge you for that.

[1:12:13] Yeah. And that's really kind of you.

[1:12:14] >> Of course. And I want people to get your

[1:12:16] your books, the emotion code, the heart

[1:12:18] code, the body code, or whichever one

[1:12:19] speaks to you. Uh, and if you feel

[1:12:22] you're having some type of trapped

[1:12:23] emotion, make sure to check this out

[1:12:25] because it can really help you release

[1:12:27] those emotions so you can create more

[1:12:29] freedom in your life. And I believe when

[1:12:32] we have more freedom, we can reach our

[1:12:34] fullest potential and hopefully just be

[1:12:37] kinder to the people around us. And I

[1:12:39] think that's a big goal for a lot of

[1:12:41] people. So my final question for you,

[1:12:43] Brad, is what's your definition of

[1:12:45] greatness? I heard one time that the

[1:12:47] definition of uh of spirituality

[1:12:51] is consciousness of victory over self

[1:12:54] and communion with the infinite.

[1:12:58] >> That's powerful

[1:12:58] >> and I've always loved that, you know,

[1:13:00] because everybody has this perfect

[1:13:02] blueprint within them and because it's

[1:13:03] different for everyone, but yet we all

[1:13:06] form this perfect mosaic. I mean,

[1:13:08] imagine if everybody in the world could

[1:13:11] have an open heart and could be

[1:13:13] manifesting into the world the perfect

[1:13:15] blueprint that's within them. Imagine

[1:13:17] what a world it could be.

[1:13:20] >> And I believe that's the world that's

[1:13:22] coming. And so to me, I think that

[1:13:25] greatness is is simply because it's

[1:13:27] different for everyone. I think that

[1:13:29] greatness is really just

[1:13:32] creating and manifesting that perfect

[1:13:35] blueprint that lies within your heart. M

[1:13:38] >> what is it for you? It's different than

[1:13:41] mine and it's different from the next

[1:13:43] person, different for everybody.

[1:13:46] >> But if you can manifest that perfect

[1:13:47] blueprint that lies inside of you,

[1:13:50] you've achieved your own greatness.

[1:13:51] That's what I think.

[1:13:53] >> Brad, thank you so much for being here.

[1:13:54] Appreciate it.

[1:13:55] >> Powerful.

[1:13:55] >> Thank you, Louis.

[1:13:56] >> Appreciate it. bone.

[1:13:57] >> Whatever we say with [music] our mind,

[1:13:59] how we perceive, how we look at things,

[1:14:01] that is going to influence what it looks

[1:14:04] like in the brain. Because whatever we

[1:14:05] think about becomes [music]

[1:14:07] phys it's electromagnetic forces we

[1:14:09] generate that then changes structures in

[1:14:11] the brain and the body and then the

The Emotion Code, developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, is a method for identifying and releasing trapped emotional energy from the body. It is based on the principle that every emotion vibrates at a specific frequency, and when emotions are not fully processed, they become trapped in the body and can cause physical pain, mental health issues, and behavioral patterns. Practitioners use questioning and energy work to identify trapped emotions and facilitate their release.
According to Nelson, a heart wall is an invisible energetic barrier the subconscious mind builds around the heart in response to emotional hurt, betrayal, or loss. It forms as a protection mechanism to prevent further pain, but it also blocks people from fully receiving love and experiencing genuine connection. Nelson estimates that approximately 93% of people have built one without conscious awareness.
Yes, according to Nelson's model. People inherit emotional energies not only from events in their own lives but also from their ancestors' traumas and experiences. These inherited energetic patterns can create subconscious beliefs and behaviors—like poverty consciousness or fear of abandonment—that influence a person's life even if they've never personally experienced the original trauma.
Nelson found that about 90% of physical pain people experience (excluding direct physical trauma like car accidents) traces back to trapped emotional energy rather than structural damage. This explains why many people have chronic pain with no clear medical diagnosis. Once the trapped emotion is identified and released, the physical pain often resolves.
When the heart wall is removed and the trapped emotions beneath it are released, people often experience significant shifts. Nelson reports that people frequently fall in love, open to deeper connection, experience relief from depression, and feel a newfound sense of possibility and joy. The removal of the energetic barrier allows people to truly give and receive love.
Yes. Nelson identifies emotional baggage as the single biggest underlying cause of depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, and PTSD. These mental health conditions often persist because the trapped emotional energy driving them has never been processed and released from the body.
Signs of trapped emotions include unexplained physical pain, chronic anxiety or anger, difficulty forming or maintaining relationships, self-sabotage patterns, eating disorders, and a sense of emotional numbness or disconnection. Many people also experience sudden emotional reactions that seem disproportionate to the situation. A trained Emotion Code practitioner can help identify specific trapped emotions.
Unworthiness beliefs often come from a combination of sources: family messages, cultural conditioning, peer experiences, media, and inherited emotional patterns from ancestors. Nelson emphasizes that some of this belief system is passed down energetically from previous generations who experienced poverty, rejection, or trauma, creating a frequency of unworthiness that resonates through the family line.
