Saje Dyer is an author, podcast host and spiritual teacher based in New York City. She is known for the daily podcast "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life," for the book The Knowing, which she co-wrote with her sister Serena Dyer, and for the children's book Goodbye Bumps! She is the daughter of the best-selling author Dr. Wayne Dyer.
Saje grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, and moved to New York, where she graduated from NYU with a master's degree in psychology. She is the youngest of eight children, and her website describes family as an important part of her life. She is also a mother of three. As a girl she often traveled with her father to speak to his audiences, and she has appeared on his PBS special. The teachings of Dr. Wayne Dyer and Marcelene Dyer, the parents who raised her, are the ground of her work.
Her podcast, "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life," offers daily reflections that act as a guide to shifting perspective. Each episode helps listeners notice self-defeating patterns and replace them with inspired thinking. The podcast is meant to turn a morning routine or a commute into a transformative practice.
The Knowing tells the story of Saje and Serena Dyer after their father died suddenly in 2015. The sisters were blindsided by grief and unsure how to meet life's challenges and conflicts without his guidance. The book follows their path from loss to understanding, through relationships, young motherhood, family, careers and crises. It draws on Carl Jung's image of the "morning" of life, which is focused on personal, physical and material accomplishment, and describes an inward shift toward higher spiritual understanding. The sisters came to see that they had not discovered their Knowing so much as returned to it. The book invites readers to find their own: the ability to connect with their divine, best self.
Goodbye Bumps! is a children's book that tells the true story of how Saje healed herself as a child through the power of the mind. It teaches young readers that when something bothers them, they can change their attitude toward it and not give it power over them. It also says that some things about ourselves can be changed and others stay with us, and that what matters is how we choose to think about them. Her website suggests it is meant for readers of all ages.
Her work is for listeners and readers who want a practical, steady way to change their thinking. It also speaks to people who are grieving, who are raising children, or who are coming back to teachings they grew up with. Questions about her books and events can be sent through the contact page on her website, sajedyer.com.
