Jack Harrison

Jack Harrison is a folklorist, musician and yoga teacher based in Ireland. His website describes him as Ireland's best-known yoga musician. He has worked across these three paths for the last 30 years and brings them together in the Celtic School of Yoga, which he co-founded.

His yoga music is inspired by the great traditions of yoga, woven with Irish music and shaped by the Celtic tradition and the natural world. He has produced three widely acclaimed yoga albums, The Enchanted Island, Wind Across the Sea and Sailing with Dragons, as well as two other recordings of original music and sea songs. He plays regularly at concerts, festivals, retreats and other yoga events.

Jack is a principal author of The Celtic School of Yoga, a book on the parallels between yoga and the Celtic world. He is also a Certified Anusara Teacher with an Anusara and Astanga background, and he teaches retreats, workshops and immersion teacher trainings with his partner in teaching, Benita. His work explores how movement can be allied with breath, focus, mythology, poetry, music and the natural world. He has also described himself as a professor of heritage studies at the University of Galway.
