Descrizione

This breathwork and practical qigong facilitator training is a healing certification for people who want to guide others through trauma release, in groups and one to one. It is led by Edwin Tan at Buah Meditasi Healing Centre in Bali, Indonesia, and combines breathwork, somatic trauma therapy and qigong energy healing. It suits newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike, and it asks for personal work as well as study: the premise is that you need to experience the practices yourself before you share them.

What to Expect

The training runs over two months and moves through four phases.

Deep understanding. You study trauma, trauma therapy and how healing works at the level of body and mind, and how this connects to manifestation and life purpose. You also look closely at your own trauma patterns, including intergenerational ones, so that you have worked with them before you guide anyone else.

Practice. Four live Zoom sessions are held on Saturdays at 14:00 Bali time (UTC+8), three hours each, and all are recorded for anyone who cannot attend live. Using breathwork and practical qigong, you work with your own patterns and learn to cleanse and protect your energy field.

Mastering. Six days of in-person training in Bali, each around eight hours, with the last day running nine. Every day begins with morning practice. The first two days are master training modules. From the third day onward the focus is holding space for one-to-one trauma therapy and for one-to-one and group breathwork and qigong. Assessment and feedback run through the final three days, which end with a closing ceremony and certification.

Sharing and feedback. After the training you are required to lead one-to-one and group sessions, in person and online, to qualify as a Buah Meditasi School Certified Facilitator. Edwin supports you for up to six months to talk through your experiences, improvements and feedback until you are fully qualified.

Topics include trauma and body-mind therapy, a range of breathwork and qigong techniques, qigong for self-healing and hands-on healing, logistics, safety and practitioner care, and facilitating both in person and online.

About Edwin Tan

Edwin Tan is the founder of Buah Meditasi, a healing centre and school in Bali focused on trauma healing and manifestation. He has worked with people around the world through his programs and retreats. His approach is a form of somatic therapy that joins a scientific method, brainspotting, with qigong and energy work, breathwork, meditation and sound healing, a blend he describes as east-holistic and west-scientific. Yoga also features in his work.

He came to this work through his own experience. While working as a financial professional and entrepreneur, he lived with depression and physical pain, and after a great deal of trial and error in his own healing he came to accept, despite his skepticism, that his body had been holding trauma from childhood.

The Setting

The in-person days take place at Buah Meditasi Healing Centre in Bali. Lunch and one coffee or tea break are provided on each training day. Accommodation is not part of the course fee, but you can stay at the centre by booking a room through it separately.

Before You Go

No previous experience is required. The course welcomes newcomers to breathwork and qigong as well as experienced practitioners, and guides everyone step by step. The quality asked of you above all is a big heart and compassion for serving others. Attending the in-person component is mandatory.

Teaching is in English. The fee covers the full course and all modules, pre-recorded practice videos, lunch on in-person days, one coffee or tea break daily, the closing ceremony and six months of support afterwards. Batches are capped at twelve trainees.
