Experience the sublime moods of Indian classical music, hosted by Kala Sangam and Yuva Raga of the University of Washington. A rare program of morning rāgas will feature preeminent sitar player Supratik Sengupta and celebrated vocalist Kasturi Bandopadhyay on tour from India. They will be joined by renowned local artists Richard Russell, sarod; Supratik Chatterjee, tabla and Saikat Ray, harmonium.
The ensemble will offer both classical and light-classical music in the inviting setting of Brechemin Auditorium on the UW Campus. General admission is $25
(pre-sale, no fees) or $30 at the door. Senior 65+ discount is $15, student with ID and children 12 and under are FREE.
