💔 Why This Means So Much Right Now

Last year, many of you helped support Marcos and Ricardo, two young immigrants trying to build a life here while waiting for their work permits.

Thanks to your generosity, they made it through.

Now, their families — Lien, Oneida, Silvio and Mercedes — are facing the kind of hardship no one should have to endure:

Lien is diabetic and dealing with skin cancer, and her 74-year-old mother Oneida who's diabetes is worsening are unable to pay for basic food and medicine to keep living.

Also, Lien's son Slivio lost his work authorization in April of 2025 when the current administration invalidated temporary protective status for hundreds of thousands of legal migrants. I have been paying for his housing and other bills but am out of funds.

Mercedes, Ricardo’s grandmother, survives solely on what little Ricardo can send — but it’s no longer enough.

We’re raising $9,000 to provide food, housing, and medicine to carry these folks through the next few months.
