We have decided to persevere in our efforts to bring this loving message to the world, not giving up after our first attempt to do this virtual event was hacked and hate-bombed online! We're now offering Beyond Barriers as #LoveInAction on Saturday, April 4 at 9:30 am Pacific time online.

Co-sponsored by Shantala and Fresno State University's MK Gandhi Center, #LoveInAction is a free online gathering of people from across many disciplines to share their perspectives on what it means to put love into action for the good of humanity and all beings on the planet.

We'll hear from a wide range of inspiring friends and colleagues around the world - academics, activists, musicians, medical practitioners, and college students - about how they turn love into activism.

This event also celebrates the world premiere of the song video for the song Om Kara Bhajo that was released by Shantala, Jai Uttal, and the Grammy-winning ensemble Opium Moon on New Years Day 2026. Recording and releasing this song inspired each of us to find more ways to put our love into action, and that effort was the inspiration for #LoveInAction .

We'll also share some wonderful video messages from Krishna Das, Dr. Barbara De Angelis, Elle Macpherson, Grammy winners Lili Haydn and Itai Disraeli, 2026 Grammy nominees Jahnavi Harrison and Alam Khan and other special guests. These clips were part of our recent social media initiative 30 Days of Love in Action, which received hundreds of thousands of views across several platforms.

It is our hope and our intention that this event will help inform people about the many ways they can use their own special talents in service to a world in need. The audience is invited to participate by submitting their questions for discussion during the event.
