説明
Turn Up The FREAKuency is a seven-night yoga retreat led by Jenn Dashem at Xinalani, an oceanfront retreat center in Quimixto, Jalisco, Mexico, just south of Puerto Vallarta. The week is built around restorative and yin yoga and vinyasa flow, with an emphasis on rest and restoring energy. It is open to all levels.
What to Expect
The retreat is listed under Restorative / Yin, Vinyasa Flow and Rest & Restore, so expect a mix of slower, supported practice and more active flowing classes, led by Jenn Dashem throughout the week.
Each retreat at Xinalani sets its own rhythm, but days there generally unfold between practice, meals, ocean time and rest. The typical day at the center looks like this:
- 8 AM: all-levels morning yoga by the ocean
- 10 AM: breakfast with tropical fruit, homemade pastries, Mexican favorites and lighter options
- 12 PM: free time to swim, rest by the pool, use the wellness area or book a massage
- 2 PM: lunch of fresh, seasonal dishes on the oceanfront terrace
- 5 PM: restorative yoga, meditation, cacao or another mindful practice
- 7 PM: sunset over Banderas Bay, then dinner and homemade desserts
Jenn Dashem's own schedule may shape how these hours are used, so treat the list as the usual pattern at Xinalani.
The Setting
Xinalani sits between the jungle and the Pacific Ocean, in a setting that brings together nature, nourishing cuisine and a like-minded community. Stays, meals and the practical details are looked after, so there is little to organize once you arrive.
Four room types are offered:
- Beach Casita: the most spacious and private, with a king bed, private terrace, plunge pool, beach and ocean views, and A/C.
- Eco Chic Treehouse: the signature open-air stay, perched above the jungle with ocean views, a private terrace with hammock, and a king bed or two double beds. A/C and open-air options are available.
- Deluxe Room: a cozy room with a king bed or two twin beds, a private terrace with a small hammock, and jungle and ocean views. It suits couples and solo travelers, with A/C or open-air options.
- Small and Big Palapa: shared open-air palapas with four or eight individual beds and a private terrace, the most accessible way to stay.
Before You Go
This retreat welcomes all levels, so no previous experience is needed. Pick the room that suits how you like to rest, whether that means private and air-conditioned or open to the sounds of the jungle and sea.
