説明
Tiny Shifts for Emotional Longevity is a 90-minute online healing workshop led by psychologist, author, and mindfulness teacher Dr. Elisha Goldstein, presented by Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It is for anyone who lives in a constant state of bracing: juggling messages, responsibilities, health goals, and family needs, with an inner voice insisting they should be handling it all better.
Drawing on mindfulness, psychology, and somatic approaches, the session introduces the core practices from Dr. Goldstein's book, Tiny Shifts: How Emotional Health Transforms Stress, Relationships, and Longevity. You take part live from home over Zoom, with room to interact with the teacher.
What to Expect
The workshop is built around what Dr. Goldstein calls the Overwhelm Loop, the pattern of overwhelm, self-criticism, worry, and reactivity that keeps people stuck. Through teaching, reflection, and guided practice, you learn how small emotional pivots can interrupt that loop.
The framework is the 4R Method, a simple, science-backed sequence:
- Recognize the emotional loop you are caught in.
- Release the tension and inner resistance.
- Refocus on what supports calm, clarity, and connection.
- Reinforce the healthier shift so your brain and body remember it.
The evening opens with an introduction to the Overwhelm Loop and its effects on stress, relationships, and well-being. From there it moves into teaching and exploration of the 4R Method, guided practice, and closes with time for questions and reflection. You also practice small nervous system shifts that restore calm and perspective.
The emphasis is on the moments you are already living: the stressful email, the racing thoughts, the self-critical voice, the difficult conversation, the bracing around uncertainty. Rather than adding another practice to a full life, the workshop shows how to work with these moments as they arise, and how simple, repeatable daily practices can begin to build emotional longevity.
The session runs from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Eastern Time.

This session is complete on its own. It does not include the in-person retreat experience, a multi-day format, or one-on-one coaching.
