説明

Mudras for Modern Life is a yoga workshop led by Swami Saradananda at Olympia London, in the Wellbeing Studio. It is a short, practical introduction to mudras, the hand positions used to support health, enhance yoga practice and deepen meditation. It suits anyone curious about working with hand gestures in a yoga or meditation setting. The session is taught in English.

What to Expect

The workshop runs for 45 minutes, from 13:30 to 14:15, and combines explanation with hands-on practice. Swami Saradananda begins with the basic energetic concepts behind working with mudras, which are described as potent tools for purification and good health.

From there the session looks at the subtle energies in the hands and in each finger. Participants are encouraged to put this information into practice using their own hands, so the time is spent doing as well as listening. The approach is practical as well as theoretical.
