説明

Spring Cleaning is a five-night yoga retreat at Xinalani, an oceanfront retreat center in Quimixto, Jalisco, Mexico, just south of Puerto Vallarta. It is led by Andrea Marcum and blends mixed-style yoga with Pilates, with a focus on strength and movement. The retreat is open to all levels, so it suits both people with a steady practice and those who want a few unhurried days of movement by the sea.

What to Expect

Spring Cleaning runs for five nights. Andrea Marcum guides the yoga and Pilates, and the emphasis is on building strength and moving well, in a setting where there is time to do it properly.

Xinalani describes the general rhythm of its retreats, and each retreat has its own pace within it. Mornings begin at 8 with all-levels yoga by the ocean. Breakfast follows at 10, with tropical fruit, homemade pastries, Mexican favorites and lighter options. The middle of the day, from noon, is yours to spend as you like: swim, rest by the pool, visit the wellness area or book a massage. Lunch is served at 2 on the oceanfront terrace. At 5 there is a quieter session, which might be restorative yoga, meditation, cacao or another mindful practice. The day closes at 7 with sunset over Banderas Bay, then dinner of fresh local cuisine and homemade desserts.

The Setting

Xinalani sits between the jungle and the Pacific Ocean, just south of Puerto Vallarta. Guests wake to ocean views and the sounds of nature, and the center takes care of the stay, meals and practical details so there is less to organize and more room to be present. Beyond the yoga, the center offers wellness experiences, ocean adventures and time in nature.

Rooms are offered in several categories:

- Beach Casita: the most spacious and private option, steps from the beach, with a king bed, private terrace, plunge pool, ocean views and A/C.
- Eco Chic Treehouse: the signature open-air stay, perched above the jungle with sweeping ocean views, a private terrace with hammock, and either A/C or open-air options.
- Deluxe Room: a cozy private room with jungle and ocean views, a terrace with a small hammock, and a king bed or two twin beds. It suits couples and solo travelers, with A/C or open-air options.
- Small and Big Palapa: open-air shared palapas with four or eight individual beds and a private terrace, the most accessible way to stay at Xinalani.

Before You Go

The retreat is for all levels, and no previous experience with yoga or Pilates is needed. Because meals, accommodation and daily details are handled at the center, most of what you need to bring is comfortable clothing for movement, swimwear for the pool and ocean, and an open mind for a few slower days by the water.
