説明
This qigong workshop at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, is a residential weekend with qigong master and healer Robert Peng. It is open to everyone, from people who have never practiced qigong to helping professionals who want to deepen their knowledge. Together you study the three dantians, the energy centers said to govern wisdom, love, and vitality, and learn how to awaken and harmonize them.
What to Expect
The program is built around five core practices, each with a clear purpose:
- Hologram Palm, to empower the three dantians
- Breathing techniques that stimulate the central meridian
- Three Treasures Standing Meditation, to strengthen willpower
- Four Golden Wheels, a movement exercise to make the body more supple
- Lotus Meditation, to open the heart
The idea running through the weekend is that when wisdom, love, and vitality are activated and balanced, your energy shifts, and that can show up in your relationships and in the quality of daily life. Beginners learn the foundational techniques. More experienced practitioners and helping professionals refine their understanding and how to integrate the practices.
The rhythm is steady. The opening day begins with check-in at 2:00 pm, a Kripalu Yoga class, dinner, and a first program session from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Full days start with yoga from 6:30 to 7:45 am and a silent breakfast, followed by program sessions from 9:00 to 11:30 am and again from 1:30 to 4:00 pm, with lunch between them. An evening yoga class and dinner close the day. On the final morning there is yoga, silent breakfast, and a last session from 9:00 to 11:00 am before lunch and departure. Times can shift, and the schedule given at check-in has the final word.
About Robert Peng
Robert Peng was born and raised in Hunan, China, and began studying qigong at the age of eight. He apprenticed intensively under the monk Xiao Yao, who was revered for his healing abilities and martial arts skill. At fifteen, he completed a 100-day water fast in isolation at a remote monastery in the mountains of Hunan, an experience that set off a deep spiritual awakening and revealed his healing gifts. He continued training quietly while at university in Changsha, then began teaching publicly at 29. Within five years he had trained over 150,000 students. He has since worked with people of all ages and cultures for three decades, and he is the author of The Master Key: Qigong Secrets for Vitality, Love, and Wisdom, the recommended reading for this program.
