説明
Imagine a day of stillness where the noise of daily life falls away, replaced by profound inner calm. Peace, Metta, Insight offers exactly that—a full-day meditation retreat in Malvern East, VIC, designed to guide you through three essential dimensions of Buddhist practice. Whether you're a seasoned meditator or stepping onto the cushion for the first time, this retreat on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Buddhaloka Centre creates the perfect container for deep practice, led by Ajahn Brahm, a respected teacher who brings warmth, humor, and decades of insight to Theravada Buddhist meditation.
This is not a rushed workshop. The retreat unfolds at a gentle, nourishing pace, holding you in silence and contemplation as you explore the three pillars of the day's teaching: finding peace in the morning, cultivating loving-kindness (metta) at midday, and opening to insight in the early afternoon. You'll move between guided meditation, personal sitting practice, and Dhamma instruction—time to listen, time to practice, and time to simply be. Noble silence throughout the day supports your inward journey, creating a sanctuary where every seeker can deepen their practice at their own rhythm.
What to Expect
The day begins with foundational Dhamma teaching on peace, followed by guided meditation and personal practice time. Mid-morning, you'll break for reflection and tea. The midday session explores metta (loving-kindness) meditation with instruction and extended sitting practice, offering techniques to cultivate compassion for yourself and all beings. The afternoon brings insight practice and final teachings, with the retreat concluding in the early afternoon. Throughout, the atmosphere is spacious and supportive—no pressure, no competition, just the opportunity to sit, listen, and awaken to what's already present within you.
