Path of Love Retreat in Bali

The Path of Love Retreat in Bali is a seven-day residential healing and personal development retreat at Gaia Oasis Resort in Tejakula, on the northern coast of Bali. It combines meditation, self-inquiry, group work and movement in a small-group setting, and it is open to anyone longing for meaningful change or a deeper spiritual life, whether they are new to this kind of work or lifelong seekers. It is led by Samved Dass and Coral Jones, working alongside a team of experienced facilitators.

The Path of Love process was established about thirty years ago in India and is now offered in seventeen countries and six languages. Graduates often describe it as five years of transformation in one week.

What to Expect

Over seven days, participants work through a process that builds on itself, each day taking the work deeper. The organizers keep the specifics of the structure confidential, as they see this as part of why it works, but they do describe the kinds of work involved:

- Individual and group work within a small group of around 8 to 12 people
- Honest self-reflection and inquiry
- Deep, authentic sharing
- Shadow and exposure work
- Emotional release work
- Physical movement and dance
- Meditation, contemplation and self-inquiry
- Writing assignments

The staff-to-participant ratio is up to one to one. The retreat includes more than 100 hours of content, course materials and support, all held in confidentiality. It is described as a week of intensity and profound connection that moves toward lightness and freedom, a lightness that comes through courageous self-exploration. Themes include facing grief, loss and old self-limiting beliefs, meeting the pain of separation and isolation, and opening to trust and connection with yourself and others.

Support continues after the retreat. It includes a five-day integration process, three group video follow-up sessions with a Path Retreats facilitator, three weeks of follow-up sharing with another group member, and a twelve-week online aftercare program with guidance, exercises, videos and meditations. Graduates also gain access to advanced programs and a worldwide community.

About Samved Dass

Samved has worked in psychotherapy and meditation for more than 35 years. His interest in inner enquiry took him to India, where he immersed himself in a range of transformational therapies. He has trained in trauma work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Bioenergetics, Primal Therapy and counselling. He has trained and worked with the Path of Love for 25 years.

About Coral Jones

Coral has worked in personal growth and spiritual enquiry groups since 1987, and her involvement with the Path of Love began in 2003. She now leads retreats in Australia, Bali and New Zealand. Her qualifications include Somatic Experiencing, Holistic Counselling and Family Constellation, along with other therapeutic, mindfulness and enquiry practices.

The Setting

Gaia Oasis Resort sits in the unspoiled northern Balinese countryside, on a green property that stretches from mountaintop to sea. The beachside setting is quiet, and the resort is known for its food. Rooms are spacious and designed to connect guests with the outdoors. Available accommodation options are shared after application.

Before You Go

No prior meditation or therapy experience is required. Suitability is explored through a one-to-one consultation with a Path of Love facilitator before enrollment, where you can ask any questions. If the timing is not right, the facilitators may suggest preparatory steps for the future.

The retreat fee includes seven nights of accommodation, meals and tea breaks, the full seven-day process, and all the pre- and post-retreat support listed above. A number of partial scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance, and a deposit holds your space and is refunded in full if the interview concludes the retreat is not right for you at this time.
