Ocean of Devotion Sound Journey

The Ocean of Devotion Sound Journey is a sound bath led by Evanston musician Preston Klik at Flossmoor Public Library in Flossmoor, Illinois. It is a live, meditative listening experience for anyone drawn to sound healing, deep rest, or an afternoon of music that asks nothing of you except to be present.

The library hosts the sound journey on several afternoons through the season, with a start time of 1:30. It is one of the public offerings in Preston's wider schedule of sound journeys at yoga studios, arts centers and libraries around the Chicago area.

What to Expect

A sound journey is not a lecture or a class. You settle in, listen, and let the music carry the session. Preston plays live on an unusual palette of instruments: melodica, didjeridoo, Ocean Drum, loops, crystal bowls, Native American flute, wah-tube, rattles and drums.

His concerts are described as both grounding and transcendent, "a healing meditation for some, a psychic music-guided trance-journey for others." What you find in the sound is yours to decide.

His wife, Emily Klik, often shares Cranio-Sacral Therapy with attendees at his events.

About Preston Klik

Preston Klik is a musician based in Evanston, Illinois, who leads live meditative sound journeys. Besides the Ocean of Devotion Sound Journey, he offers the OM Gong Experience and his Shamanic Walkabout concerts, and he gives lessons.

Preston and Emily met in the garden at Unity Chicago, after the first "Eight:18 - Circus of the Spirit" celebration. They were married in Unity's garden gazebo and took the name Klik together. Their path has been guided by the Unity principles taught by Reverend Ed Townley, and by The Landmark Forum and Advanced Course.
