説明

Maiden, Mother, Matriarch is a women's yoga and wellness retreat at Xinalani, an oceanfront retreat center in Mixto, Quimixto, Jalisco, Mexico, just south of Puerto Vallarta. It is led by Concetta Troskie and Ana Rodriguez and runs for five nights. The practice combines restorative and yin yoga with vinyasa flow, with a lean toward nature and adventure. It is open to all levels.

The setting is a stretch of coast between the jungle and the Pacific Ocean, and the retreat is for women who want time to practice, rest and share the week with others who came for similar reasons.

What to Expect

Each retreat at Xinalani has its own rhythm, and the days move between practice, meals, ocean time, rest and open space. The center describes a typical day like this:

- 8 AM: morning yoga by the ocean, all levels, meant to move and wake the body
- 10 AM: breakfast of tropical fruit, homemade pastries, Mexican favorites and lighter options
- 12 PM: free time to swim, sit by the pool, use the wellness area or book a massage
- 2 PM: lunch on the oceanfront terrace
- 5 PM: a slower session such as restorative yoga, meditation, cacao or another mindful practice
- 7 PM: sunset over Banderas Bay, then dinner and homemade desserts

Exact sessions for this retreat are shaped by its teachers. The combination of vinyasa and restorative or yin yoga suggests a week that alternates between energizing movement and long, quiet holds, with the afternoons left open.

Your Teachers

Concetta Troskie and Ana Rodriguez lead the retreat together. They are the teachers named for this gathering, and it is offered as a women-only retreat.

The Setting

Xinalani sits above Banderas Bay, with ocean views from many of its rooms and terraces. Guests can choose among several kinds of stay:

- Beach Casita: the most spacious and private option, steps from the beach, with a king bed, private terrace, plunge pool, ocean views and air conditioning.
- Eco Chic Treehouse: an open-air room above the jungle with a private terrace and hammock, ocean and jungle views, and a king bed or two double beds. Air conditioned or open-air versions are available.
- Deluxe Room: a private room with jungle and ocean views, a terrace with a small hammock, and a king bed or two twin beds, in air conditioned or open-air versions. It suits couples and solo travelers.
- Small and Big Palapa: shared open-air palapas with four or eight individual beds and a private terrace, the most accessible way to stay.

Meals are served on site and use fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. The center also has a pool, a wellness area and massage on request, and it offers ocean activities and time in nature.

Before You Go

The retreat is open to all levels, so no previous yoga experience is needed. Xinalani handles the stay, meals and daily details, so guests can spend the week practicing and resting rather than planning. Rooms are chosen by category, so it is worth deciding in advance whether you prefer a private room or a shared palapa, and whether you want air conditioning or open-air sleeping.
