説明
Healing Through Stillness is a 30-hour restorative yoga teacher training in La Jolla, San Diego, held at Trilogy Sanctuary over four days. It is led by Gabrielle Blachley, E-RYT 500+, and combines Restorative Yoga with somatic practice, breathwork, meditation and subtle body study. It suits yoga teachers who want to deepen their offerings, healers and guides adding to their toolkit, and curious practitioners ready to turn inward.
What to Expect
The training runs from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon. Thursday and Friday sessions are 5:30pm to 9pm, and Saturday and Sunday run 8am to 4pm. The pace is slow by design: restorative yoga here means being fully supported by blankets, bolsters and blocks, so the body can release and the nervous system can settle toward the parasympathetic state.
Much of the time is hands-on. A restorative posture clinic covers more than 25 poses, with close attention to how props are used to build therapeutic shapes. Alongside this, you will study the anatomy of stress and relaxation, including vagal tone, and take part in guided somatic practices aimed at nervous system regulation and a felt sense of safety.
Other parts of the program include:
- Prescriptive rest: tailoring restorative sequences for common ailments, chronic stress, injury and emotional fatigue.
- Inward tools: pranayama, mudra, meditation and transformational journaling, both to practice and to learn how to teach.
- Subtle body study: chakras, nadis and koshas, and how to sense energy flow in stillness.
- Teaching craft: theming, sequencing, guiding with tone and presence, and giving personalized one-on-one restorative sessions.
- Sacred circles: shared practice for community, honest sharing and being heard.
About Gabrielle Blachley
Gabrielle Blachley is an E-RYT 500+ with advanced training and continuing education in India, Guatemala, Chicago and San Diego. She has more than two decades of full-time teaching experience and has led over 35 yoga teacher training and mentorship programs in San Diego. Raised in Chicago, she trained as a professional ballerina until an injury ended that path and led her to yoga. She holds a BA in Fine Arts and Communications from Loyola University of Chicago, and she lived and studied in places including Hawaii, Europe, India and Morocco.
She founded Monarch Yoga Shala, a donation-based yoga school in Chicago. A later spine injury shaped her focus on biomechanics and alignment, and after working as Yoga Director at Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness, her style became what she calls anatomy-enhanced, with attention to intuitive alignment. She also started Circle + Rising, a women's healing circle that grew into a monthly gathering at San Diego yoga studios. Today she is a coach who teaches daily in San Diego, leads trainings and workshops, and hosts international retreats.
