Question 1

Is The Dharma of Money really free, and do I need to register?

Accepted Answer

Drala Mountain Center lists it as a FREE ONLINE PROGRAM, so there is no tuition. The listing text available here doesn't say whether advance registration is required, so check the program page on dralamountain.org for sign-up steps and the access link.

Question 2

Where does The Dharma of Money take place, and do I have to travel to Colorado?

Accepted Answer

No travel is needed. The program is online, though it is offered by Drala Mountain Center, whose land is in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. You only need a device and an internet connection to join.

Question 3

What does 'dharma of money' mean in this program?

Accepted Answer

Drala Mountain Center is a Buddhist-rooted center, so the title points to looking at money, livelihood and our relationship to wealth through Buddhist teachings. The available listing doesn't give a detailed syllabus, so look at the program page for the presenter and topics before you join.

Question 4

Who is teaching The Dharma of Money?

Accepted Answer

The text available here doesn't name the presenter for this program. Drala's other free online programs, such as Divorce as a Path to Liberation, are each led by a named guest teacher. The program page on dralamountain.org should list the facilitator and their background.

Question 5

Do I need to be a Buddhist or have meditation experience to join?

Accepted Answer

The listing doesn't state any prerequisites for this program. Drala presents its offerings in categories like Buddhist Path and Meditation & Mindfulness, and it runs separate Foundations of Meditation courses for building a practice. If you're unsure, ask Drala's program staff whether this one assumes prior study.

Question 6

What other free online offerings does Drala Mountain Center have if I enjoy this one?

Accepted Answer

Drala's retreat listings include the FREE ONLINE SERIES Drala Mountain Online Practice Series, the FREE ONLINE SERIES Yin Yoga for Rest & Renewal with Melissa Lago, and the FREE ONLINE PROGRAM Divorce as a Path to Liberation with Grace Fisher. Paid options include Foundations of Meditation I and II and the Retreat & Renewal program.

Question 7

Will there be a recording if I can't attend live?

Accepted Answer

The available program text doesn't mention a recording or replay, so it can't be assumed. Check the registration page or contact Drala Mountain Center before the program to confirm whether one will be offered.
