説明

Experience Week: From I to We is a five-night community retreat at the Park Ecovillage in Findhorn, Scotland, run as one of the Findhorn Foundation's Signature programmes. It is for anyone who wants to slow down, step out of daily routine and find out what it is like to live inside an intentional community for a few days. No particular background in spiritual practice is described as necessary, only a willingness to listen in and take part.

The week asks a simple question: what shifts when we move from "I" to "We"? Rather than studying community from a distance, you live it, with simple practices and time in nature as the main ways in.

What to Expect

The week is a lived experience of community life at Findhorn. The invitation is to slow down, listen in and remember what's possible. Days are built around simple practices shared with the group and with the wider community, along with unhurried time outdoors in the setting of the ecovillage.

The emphasis is on experience rather than instruction. You are not asked to master a technique or follow a fixed doctrine. You are asked to be present, to notice what changes in you when you are part of a group working, reflecting and resting together, and to take that noticing home.

The programme runs for six days, from a Monday arrival through to the following Saturday. It is offered several times across the year, so the same week can be chosen in different seasons, including the quieter months of winter and early spring.

The Setting

The retreat takes place at Park Ecovillage Findhorn, in Findhorn on the Moray coast of northern Scotland. The Findhorn Foundation is one of the best-known intentional communities in the world, and this programme is among the ways it welcomes visitors into its everyday life. Part of the experience is simply being there: walking the grounds, sharing space with residents and guests, and seeing how a community organises itself around care for people and place.

Before You Go

This is a good fit if you are curious about community living, ecovillages or Findhorn itself, and if you are looking for a gentle, participatory retreat rather than a demanding one. It suits people coming alone as well as those who want a pause from a busy season of life. Groups of friends, family or colleagues can also arrange to bring their own group to a Findhorn Signature programme, or work with the community to design a custom experience.

Pack for Scottish weather and for time outdoors, since nature is part of the week.
