Breathwork Intensive and Sacred Ceremony Retreat in Armenia

This breathwork retreat in Armenia gathers people for three days of guided breathwork at Sky House in the Yeghegis Gorge, Vayots Dzor, followed by an optional one-night sacred ceremony and an integration day. It suits anyone drawn to rebirthing and holotropic breathwork who wants to work with emotional patterns in a quiet mountain setting. It is led by the international breathwork teacher Kristine Niranjana Kirakosyan, with Peruvian musician and medicine man Jadhid Rafael (El Jawar) and yoga teacher Hripsime.

What Happens

The intensive runs for three days and two nights. It opens with arrival at Sky House, a first breathwork session, and yoga and meditation. The second day is the core of the work: breathwork sessions drawing on rebirthing and holotropic methods, alongside art therapy and dance therapy. On the third day, breathwork and yoga continue, and the intensive closes with a cacao ceremony and a singing circle with El Jawar. Meals are shared, and the group spends the days together in community.

The sacred ceremony follows for one night. It is described as a space for working with the deeper layers of the subconscious mind, accessing inner vision and uncovering the roots of emotional patterns. It is offered as an extension of the breathwork. An integration day comes next, with gentle practices, grounding and guided reflection, so there is time to process what came up and consider how it carries into daily life. After the retreat, an online group gathering offers further integration support.

A Rapé ceremony is also available for an additional cost.

About Kristine Niranjana Kirakosyan

Kristine is an international breathwork teacher, Reiki Master, yoga and meditation teacher and trauma-aware specialist, and holds a Ph.D. In 2015 she left her corporate and academic career to explore spiritual traditions through breathwork, meditation, yoga, shamanic ritual and energy work. She has spent time in Buddhist temples practising Vipassana and Anapanasati, and has studied psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy in a clinical setting. She is the founder of Atma Breath School, which offers breathwork trainings and retreats, and she trains and mentors new breathwork facilitators around the world.

About Jadhid Rafael (El Jawar)

Originally from Peru, Jadhid is a musician and medicine man who carries the ancestral traditions of his homeland. He travels across Spain offering gatherings that combine guided meditation, medicine music concerts, mantras and the use of master plants. At this retreat he leads the singing circle, using music and breath as a way inward.

About Hripsime

Hripsime is an obstetrician-gynecologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences, internationally certified yoga teacher and breathwork facilitator, and founder of the "Tree of Life" Women's Health Club. She bridges medical practice and holistic work. Here she teaches yoga to support embodiment and presence, and she assists in holding space for participants.

The Setting

Sky House sits in the Yeghegis Gorge, surrounded by mountains and open country. It has fifteen bright rooms, a restaurant and a wine bar, and Wi-Fi in the rooms and public areas. Three buffet meals a day are vegan and vegetarian, made with locally sourced seasonal produce and regional flavors.

Before You Go

No particular level of experience is listed, and sessions are guided throughout by experienced facilitators. The price covers accommodation with bed linen, bath towels, hand soap and housekeeping, all three daily meals, the cacao ceremony, breathwork, energy work, art therapy, meditation and yoga, the sacred ceremony, the online integration gathering and a welcome gift.
