説明
A women-only yoga retreat on the Pacific coast of El Salvador, set in Teotepeque in the La Libertad region and led by Buka Yoga owner Brooke Page-Thompson. It is meant for women who want to soften, reconnect and remember the freedom of simply being, with yoga, meditation, breathwork-informed mindfulness, journaling and time by the ocean shaping each day. The week runs six days and five nights.
What to Expect
The days hold a steady rhythm, with plenty of open space in the middle. Mornings begin at 7 with meditation and yoga by the beach, followed by breakfast from 8:30. The long stretch from mid-morning to late afternoon is free time, to rest, swim, read or wander. At 4:30 the group gathers again for a workshop, yoga and meditation, and the evening closes with dinner and unscheduled time.
Along the way you can expect:
- Daily yoga and meditation to align body and spirit
- Mindfulness and journaling workshops for creative clarity
- Evening reflection circles under the stars
- A cacao ceremony and an ocean ritual to release and restore
- A Tezmacal ceremony with a local shaman
- A waterfall hike and a shopping adventure
- A candlelit dinner on the beach
- One 50-minute massage
- A one-on-one coaching session after the retreat to support integration
The tone is open-hearted and unhurried. Conversation is part of the practice, and the sound of the ocean is rarely out of earshot.
About Brooke Page-Thompson
Brooke Page-Thompson owns Buka Yoga, a boutique studio with locations in downtown Castle Rock and the Denver Tech Center, with nearly all classes also streamed online. The studio teaches traditional Hatha yoga built on sound body and breath alignment, and every class makes room for rest. It describes its approach as yoga for real life, for all body types and ability levels, with values of rest as a skill, strength without burnout, presence over pressure and community. Buka Yoga has been hosting retreats since 2017.
Brooke is a yoga educator, mentor and guide. Her work in leadership development and culture transformation with hundreds of corporations, alongside her years of teaching yoga, has made her an experienced guide for women moving through life transitions, burnout and self-doubt. She designs her retreats to be more than getaways, with the aim of helping women return to their own truth with grace and courage.
The Setting
The retreat takes place in an oceanfront sanctuary in Teotepeque, where the sun rises over practice on the beach and the waves set the pace of the day. Three meals are provided daily. Accommodations are included from Monday afternoon through Saturday early afternoon, and the group is met with transportation to and from San Salvador Airport.
Before You Go
Pricing covers lodging, daily morning and afternoon yoga with Brooke, three meals a day, the massage, airport transportation, the waterfall hike and shopping outing, the beach dinner, the shaman-led ceremony, the tourist tax and tips. Airfare, extra spa treatments, additional excursions, specialty juices and coffees, and alcohol are not included.
Rooms are offered as private or shared, so you can come on your own or with a friend. The studio welcomes all body types and ability levels, and the retreat is built around practices that meet you where you are.
